“Well, they call it called fish?” When he saw her expression, he started to laugh. “Actually, it’s called Sole Meuniere. I’m glad you like it.”
“Like it? I love it. It’s so delicious.” Madison never thought she would have eaten so much good food at one time. Then after eating two helpings, she knew she was done for the evening. When they gotten up from eating, he told her to go and relax on the couch. He intended to clean up the kitchen since he was the one who made the mess. She couldn’t believe how gracious he was being with her. In a way, it felt different for her because even Paul had never been like this. True, at first, he might have been more considerate in their relationship but after they got married and continued working, it seemed other things became more of a priority to him than his marriage. Madison on the other hand was like Paul with her work, she took her job seriously, but her marriage was always first before work. She did really try. He then used it as an excuse to cheat on her. The fact she was a busy career woman. She tried to make it work out but it seemed that he had other plans with other women.
“You know I am beginning to think that you only like me for my cooking you know.” He raised a brow at her.
Madison burst into laughter.
He strolled over and sat down next to her with a glass of wine in his hand.
“Well, you are an amazing cook I give you that but no, there’s more to you than your cooking expertise that I like.”
“Such as,”
“You’ve been so caring towards me even though this is actually only our second dinner together. Plus, every single letter you wrote me, I could feel myself either walking along or sitting right next to you enjoying what you were. I so wanted to be there with you too.”
“Like I told you earlier sweetheart, you were there with me walking along every street, along the beach, sitting with me while I had a meal or a drink at the bar. You were by my side throughout. But I couldn’t wait to get back here to you because even though our time together was cut short, I wanted to be with you.”
Madison thought that maybe the wine she’d been drinking was making her feel flushed but that wasn’t the case. It was his words that made her feel nervous. “You know there was something I had wanted to talk about…that kiss you snuck in on me.” Madison reminded him.
This seemed to broaden his smile. “I’ve always thought about that kiss, you know.”
“Same here, every single second I thought about that kiss. Even though you might have felt that it was your fault, it wasn’t because deep down, I had wanted to kiss you too, but I didn’t want you to feel like I was some crazy ass woman trying to jump the gun. I’m not like that. You have to understand, even though Paul and I were together for all those years, the love we had together was strong at first, but well…I don’t know.”
“It kind of fizzled after you got married right? That was how it was with me and Elizabeth. I understand what you mean because I dealt with it too and yeah, it’s kind of hard to find someone else that you feel a connection with.”
“You know ever since I first met you though, I’ve felt some sort of connection between us. I’ve never felt that way before with anyone.”
He held her hand once more.
Madison looked into the most sincere emerald eyes and in the smoothest voice she’d ever heard, he told her, “Every place I went to and every person I met, something about the place or person made me think back to you. Hell, I even saw some lavender honey and it reminded me of those eyes of yours. I can’t seem to get you off my mind for a moment, Madison. I don’t want to let you go from my life again.”
It felt as if her heart was about to burst in her chest as she tried her best not to cry. Her throat was getting tighter and still she held it in to keep from crying.
“I want you to be mine Madison, don’t you understand that? I want us to get to know each other. I want to know what you love, what you hate. I want to take you places that you’ve never dreamed you would set foot in. Take you on a gondola ride in Venice, horseback riding in Spain, hell even take you on a camel ride in Egypt.”
They both found themselves laughing but Madison could feel the tears overflow softly along her cheek.
“Oh, no…” He gently caressed her cheek, wiping her tears with his thumb. “I didn’t mean to make you cry darling, that’s the last thing I would ever want to do. I’ll make sure that you’ll never cry unless it’s from me making you happy.” He softly kissed her lips, drawing her close to him while her arms draped themselves around his neck.
Lying back against the couch, Madison could feel him encase her within his arms while his lips softly touched her cheek. It was something she’d longed to feel for such a long time, to be able to let herself go. Just to feel the sheer moment of ecstasy was something she had craved.
His kisses trailed down while his teeth grazed lightly against her neck as her fingers ran through his hair. She watched as he grabbed hold of the front of her blouse, ripping it open as buttons fell like raindrops onto the wooden floor. Looking her over, Madison wondered what he had in store for her as he immediately got off her and quickly picked her up.
“What are you doing?” she exclaimed as he started to go up the stairs.
“I don’t know. This is your house, so you have to tell me where your room is.”
She laughed as they got stopped in the hallway as she pointed to her bedroom door.
When he got her in the room, he put her down as she took off what was left her blouse along with her bra. Then she watched as he unbuttoned his shirt while she reached behind to unzip her skirt. Madison stared as he unbuckled and unzipped his pants pulling them down and off. The sight of his body made her knees buckle as he slowly picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist.
He smiled and continued kissing her once more while making his way to her bed. He laid her down and caressed her hips while he nibbled on her ear, his hands skimming along her skin as he reached to cradle her breasts.
The sensation of his lips clasping onto her nipple jolted her body like nothing she’d ever felt before in her life. A soft sigh rose from her throat while his tongue and fingers made their way through his hair. The roughness of his tongue glided down along her stomach before kissing her belly button, this caused Madison to laugh uncontrollably.
His laughter rumbled against her stomach. “I didn’t know you were ticklish.” He began slowly taking off her underwear and once it was off, his kisses trailed down along her inner thigh.
She could slowly feel his mouth go down on her as he positioned himself between her legs. My God! His tongue danced along her clit in a way that she hadn’t felt in a long time. Grabbing hold of the comforter, she felt his arm go across her stomach, holding her down to where she wouldn’t move much in bed as her hips moved more in rhythm with his tongue. Licking her lips, she grabbed hold of the pillow as her fingers dug deep into it.
Gyrating her hips even more, Austin could tell Madison was about to have an orgasm. This was what he’d wanted, what he’d dreamed of every single day while he’d been away from her. He planned to make life with Madison a magically and adventurous one to where he wanted every day with her to be one to remember. He wanted for her to enjoy this moment of their budding love together. Never had he tasted anything as sweet as her and he was enjoying feeling of her move underneath him, hearing her sighs and moans while her fingers could be felt once more through his hair.
“Oh God, Austin yes!” she moaned as her whole body tensed and pulsated.
He didn’t stop while she squirmed and moaned on the bed. The sight he thought was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen in his life.
With her climax, she bolted upright in the bed lightly veiled with sweat, looking down at him with a stunned expression while she panted furiously.
He gave her a smile as he slowly licked his way up her stomach and between the valley of her breasts.
Sighing, she lay back down.
“I want you to let me love you tonight Madis
on.” He nibbled on her ear, his hand rubbing down the length of her thigh as he raised her knee up and apart then got comfortable between her legs again.
“Wait, do you have any protection?” she asked him.
“No, it’s been so long that I didn’t bother to get any.”
They both giggled as he continued kissing on her.
“Well, we will have to be very careful then, cause I don’t have any either,” she whispered as he started to growl in her ear which only continued the giggle fest going on.
He’d been throbbing and hard, waiting to feel himself deep inside of her and once he got the chance, every inch of him filled her. Austin heard her cry out. He loved the sound of ecstasy that erupted from her throat.
The night was a memorable one for Austin. For the first time in his life, he really and truly felt in love with a woman. When he told her he wanted her to love him that night, he meant every word of it. As he put himself into his lovemaking, she responded with so much more. They took their time and explored one another’s bodies as they found their vulnerable spots.
Holding her close to him, Austin turned over on his back and let her ride him. She was a magnificent sight, watching her hair bounce and her breasts lifting with each impending thrust he made into her. “Fuck,” he grunted deeply, holding her hips. “God you feel so good baby.”
Madison moved forwards, grabbing his face to kiss his lips and nibble them softly.
He once again turned her to where they both were on their sides, hiking up her thigh, sliding himself once again deep.
She cried out again, “Oh—yes, Austin.”
Moving some of her hair from her neck, he suckled her tender skin and when she cried out again, Austin knew it would only be a matter of time. “Let go Madison.” He could feel her body began to quiver while her voice shouted towards the ceiling as he continued holding her close his hips colliding with hers faster and harder. “Ohhh!” he moaned pulling out and holding her close as they both panted heavily.
Turning over to face him, Madison moved some hair from his face.
Austin smiled down at her, hugging her tight to his chest.
She sighed softly. “Let’s take a shower,” she said gazing up at him.
He nodded as they both got out of bed.
Then it felt like they were children playing in the tub, splashing water at each other and laughing.
Madison never thought she could have so much fun with someone nor should she say, with a man, since the divorce and now she finally found the one she felt she could be happy with. When they got out, they dried each other off and changed the bed linen.
Then they both got back in, snuggling close once again.
“Can I ask you something? Do you think we are rushing?” he asked her.
Madison thought about it and even though at first, she might have felt they were. Deep down, she was slowly starting to feel differently about the entire thing. “I don’t think we rushed into anything. I really think that we took our time with this. Rushing would have been like if when we first met at Candace’s party, we went off to some quiet corner and did it right then and there. But no, I don’t think we rushed at all.” She assured him with a kiss.
“I’m glad you think that because I didn’t want you to think I was rushing you.”
Putting her finger over his lips, she said, “We need to get to sleep. I know that’s going to be pretty hard to do for you.”
Austin smiled and kissed her lips once more. “Not really my dear, it doesn’t take me very long to get hard when I think of you.”
Madison thought she would die as Austin started laughing. “You are a trip you know that.”
He kissed her once more. “And you taste so sweet.”
She succumbed to his touch and completely rendered herself helpless as he continued kissing her. Before she knew it, they were back to making love again. So much for the shower and clean sheets. Madison didn’t care though—this was so worth it.
Chapter Nine
When Madison woke up, Austin held her around her waist, snuggling deep from behind her. She didn’t want to get up from his embrace. She felt like she was a part of him and he completed her entirely. When she did try and get up, it seemed like he pulled her even closer which made her giggle a little. Soon, she was able to get out of his hold and went to the closet to get her clothes for work and to also start up the shower.
She walked back in the room, seeing him still sleeping peacefully in her bed. Madison gazed at him for a while. All along in her head she could hear the voices asking her, “Why in the hell are you leaving such a fine as hell man alone? Are you mental woman? Just call in and tell them you’ll be in on Monday.” The voice was right. So she grabbed the cordless, sat down on the bed and called up the office. “Hello Mildred, I’m not going to be in today. I’ll probably be back in on Monday.” Hanging up the phone, she looked over and saw him gazing back at her. Madison smiled, leaning over to give him a kiss.
“Good Morning sweetie,” he said sitting up in bed.
“I was going to work today but I called in and won’t be back till Monday, so I am all yours.”
He grabbed her, pulling her closer to him. “Good. So what would you like to do today?”
“I don’t know why we don’t just stay in bed for a little while longer and just snuggle.”
“Alright then baby, we can do that.”
So with a contented sigh, Madison found herself slowly falling asleep again but this time, she finally felt more at ease.
Later, when she woke up again, Madison opened her eyes and looked at him
Austin grasped a tendril of her black locks, twisted her hair around his finger, and watched as it sprung right back to its original shape. Kissing her forehead, he whispered, “You look so great in my arms. I was just watching you sleep. It’s perhaps the most relaxing thing I have done in forever. You just make me feel warm and happy, Madison. No one should have ever taken you for granted. I never will.”
To say she felt stunned would be putting it mildly. No one had ever given her such a heartfelt compliment. The more she was with him the more she realized that her ex-husband had never loved her, not like this. “I can say waking up with you and hearing words like this…makes me feel like a queen.”
“You are one. No…you are more like a Goddess, my Curly Q goddess.”
Her eyes widened. “No, you did not just call me that!”
He bit at his lip to keep his laugh at bay. “Yep. I sure did.”
Madison chuckled. “Okay, so what time is it?”
Looking over at the alarm clock on the nightstand behind her he replied, “It’s just eleven fifteen.”
Sitting up, she stretched out completely in her bed and turned her head around as her neck popped a little. “How about we go and grab some lunch?” she asked.
He agreed and they both got out of bed.
That afternoon, they went to a little restaurant Madison hadn’t been to for years. They served probably the best Italian food she’d ever had. They dined on good food and wine as they listened to the entertainment and sang authentic Italian songs. He took her hand as they walked to the floor and they began to dance. She felt safe in his arms as they swayed to the music. Madison laid her head against his chest and swayed to the sound of the music and his heartbeat. Austin raised her chin up to meet his eyes, eyes that she could get lost in and never want to be found.
“Have I told you how beautiful you are?”
She blushed at his comment and smiled as he twirled her around on the floor.
“Well you are, so very beautiful indeed. I could just eat you up.”
She laughed as he held her closer, kissing her lips. Their embrace deepened while swaying to the music.
“You know what we should do tomorrow? We should go back and see Candace,” he said.
“Yeah, I can hear it now when we go and visit her. She will say, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!” Madison mimicked her sister while they made their way b
ack to their table.
He laughed as they sat next to each other in the booth, “Yeah I know, and there’s no telling what Jonathan will do or say when he finds out about us.” He held her hand as his expression turned serious.
Madison watched as his fingers intertwined with her own. “You know, we really shouldn’t care what they say.”
“So we are going tomorrow to face the music then?”
“It will be some kind of music, like maybe marching band or something. “Madison giggled as he nuzzled up against her ear.
The drive to Candace’s house the following day seemed like it took forever. Madison had been on pins and needles the entire way there and she remained quiet throughout the trip.
Austin looked at her from time to time, took her by the hand. and kissed it. Something to make her not feel as overwhelmed as she felt that what would happen next, when they got there would end up being a complete catastrophe.
There was no telling what Jonathan would do when he found out. Now, would be the time to reveal it, plus she knew he would never want her to not be happy again. She would smile and continue looking towards the road as they started to come towards familiar surroundings. Then once they pulled into the driveway and Austin turned off the car, her heart stopped.
“Are you alright?” he asked.
“Feels like I’m about to hyperventilate at the moment,”
“Take a long deep breath in and let it slowly come out and if you need to take another one then by all means do it.” He gave her a sweet kiss on her temple.
Madison closed her eyes and took his advice. Once they got out of the car and made their way to the front door, she took another deep breath. Then when he pressed the door bell and heard the chimes, she looked again at Austin.
Suddenly, the door opened and Candace stood there with a smile on her face. “Madison, Austin, I didn’t think you were coming here. This is a surprise, what are you guys doing here?” she said giving Madison a hug as they walked inside.
