When he finally stopped and set the phone down. I pulled an earbud out and cleared my throat. “You know, if you’re going to be boo’d up with your phone, you could at least put it on silent.”

He shot me a glare but he still silenced his phone. “You don’t talk a lot but when you do…” He made this sexy ass clicking noise with his tongue that was supposed to be a reprimand but it only made my thighs clench. I had to stop drooling over that man. He was clearly in a relationship. I was being extra. Every teacher wasn’t like Mr. Clermont.

“I’ll just shut up then,” I sighed.

“That wouldn’t be a horrible idea, Krissy.” His expression was stern but there was a playful glint in his eyes. “Did you see your uncle when you went home yesterday?” He asked with a sigh. It was like he resigned himself to conversing with me after a few seconds.

“He wasn’t even there, Mr. Wilmore. All that avoidance for nothing. At least I got some cute clothes out of it though.” I paused a few beats and hid my lips between my teeth. Sometimes when I got nervous, I hid my lips either with my fingertips or by biting them. Sometimes my lips felt too big and Mr. Wilmore wasn’t helping matters by staring at them.

He probably thought they were too big too. I liked his lips. They were full but not too big. Not like mine.

“How was that situation you rushed to answer the phone for?” I drummed against my lips with my fingertips and he averted his gaze to the papers on his desk. He stared at one spot for a long time and I thought I broke the man. Maybe I was being too intrusive. I did like to ask questions that dug into people’s business. Maybe it rubbed him the wrong way.

“That’s not really appropriate,” he finally sighed.

“Wilmore, our friends are fucking each other. We’ve already warped that student-teacher line. We’re bound to be friends. Don’t fight it. Let it happen.” At least I made him crack a smile.

“So that’s out in the open huh?” He quizzed.

“Yeah. They’re so cute it makes my teeth hurt.”

“I guess you’re right. The boundaries are vague.”

“Uh huh. So about that phone call. Was it a girlfriend? Did you go see her? You seemed torn.”

“Krissy,” he groaned, tipping back in his chair. He pinched the bridge of his nose and I laughed while I stole glances at him. His lap looked like a nice place to put my ass. “You just don’t let up, huh?”

“Never. So…” I looked at him for an answer to my questions and he cracked a perfect smile.

  “Not a girlfriend. More like…”

  “A fuck buddy?”

“I don’t think I’m ready for what it means to be your friend,” Wilmore frowned.

“Well, get over it. You’re interesting,” I rested my chin on my fist and batted my long lashes at him. He stared at my mouth again and shook his head. I hated how self-conscious I was about my lips. Every glance felt like more than it was.

“Yeah, she’s a casual fling. Someone I shouldn’t be talking to at all. Clearly, I don’t have much sense when it comes to what I should and shouldn’t be doing,” he mused.

“That explains why you and Clermont work well as friends.”

“You could say that,” he laughed.

“So, when you leave work are you going to see her?”

“If you must know…” His words hung in the air, teasing me.

  “I must,” I beamed.

“I’m going home then going to see her.” Both of us had abandoned our work to talk to each other and it felt like such an easy thing to do. “What about you, Krissy? You’re all in my business. Who are you dating?” My cheeks heated at his question. Did he have to look at me like that with those piercing eyes?

“I’m not dating anyone. I’m not exactly the dateable type of girl,” I shrugged and lazily put a few grades into the laptop.

“Yeah…okay.” He could barely contain his laughter.

“Don’t laugh at me, Wilmore.” I aimed my pointer finger at him and glared.

“I’m not laughing at you. I’m not sure how you came to the conclusion that you’re not dateable though.” He pushed his fingers through his thick, dark hair and stacked papers on his desk mindlessly.

“I don’t have boyfriends. I did in ninth and tenth grade but after that, I only scratched the itch when it needed scratching.” Talking to Mr. Wilmore was effortless. Even if he did stare at my lips and make me fidget. I couldn’t explain the comfort I felt. He didn’t do small talk and that meant I didn’t clam up.

“Scratched what itch? You better be an angel. A virgin angel,” he chuckled then stood up. His legs were long and sturdy and I stared at the way he moved across the classroom.

“Oh, yeah…that’s me. Innocent and chaste,” I scoffed. “No, Wilmore. I’m not an angel. I’m fucking.”

“Jesus Christ,” he muttered as he thumbed through papers.

  “What?” I quipped.

  “You’re like fifteen.”

I slammed my hands down on the desk and stood to my feet. I didn’t know if I wanted to curse him out or laugh in his face. Fifteen? Did I look fifteen? He had to be joking.

“Might want to pipe down there.” Wilmore looked at me and his neck stiffened.

“I didn’t even say anything yet,” I argued.

“I can feel the attitude wafting off you. Pipe down.”

“You pipe the fuck down. I’m not fifteen. I damn sure don’t look fifteen and also, I’m a senior in your class so you should know better. Don’t play.”

He looked at me, his head tipped to one side, kind of like how puppies do when they hear something interesting. “You know what? Maybe you’re right about not being the dateable type. I don’t think these little boys would be able to handle you. You have a lot of fucking mouth.”

“And?” I snapped at him but I was still eager to hear more.

“And I can’t tell if it’s annoying or if you’re really sassy.”

“It’s sass. It can be annoying though. Take back the fifteen-year-old comment.” I approached him with folded arms and he peered down at me. I could really see the hazel around the rim of his eyes when he was that close.

“What are you going to do if I don’t…kid?” For some reason, Wilmore calling me a kid made my blood boil.

I placed my palms flat on his chest and shoved him back a few paces. The startled look on his face made me smirk with mischief. The hard cuts of his pectorals made me hot though. I couldn’t put my finger on the reason for the air shifting temperatures between us but I felt it.

“Did you assault a teacher, Kristabella Lucas?” He rushed toward me, wrapping his arm around my waist while his fingers danced up and down my ribs until laughter spilled over my lips uncontrollably.

“Stop!” I squeaked, roaring with giggles.

  “Say uncle.”

  “Fuck. No,” I laughed.

  “Okay, say Mr. Wilmore.”

“Okay, okay! Mr. Wilmore…” I gave in and he stopped tickling me. Suddenly the room fell silent. The buzz from his phone broke the awkward moment into pieces and he rushed to his desk to pick it up. This time he didn’t bother stepping into the hallway and I couldn’t tell if I was happy or annoyed by it.

“Hey, Eve. Yeah. I’ll be there later on. Text me when he leaves. Okay, bye.” He ended the call and looked at me. “Let’s wrap things up so I can go handle this…situation.” He winked at me and I fought the sting of jealousy creeping in on me. We were friends. So what if I had a massive crush on him?

“Sounds a lot like she has a man already and you’re the side dude.” I sat down at my desk and put my fingers to work, inputting grades. It gave me something else to focus on.

“Wow. The judgment is strong in this one.” He did that handsome smirk that made him look like he was closer to my age instead of being nearly ten years older.

“No judgment here,” I held up my hands and shook my head. “Just keeping it one hundred. Are you the side guy?” I needed to know at that point.

  “
She’s married.” He hung his head a bit and a smile burned the corners of my mouth.

“I knew it!” I tossed my head back and laughed. “I should have made a bet that I was right. Well, tomorrow you owe me a big pack of gum. I’m almost out.”

“What makes you think I’d buy you anything? Brat,” he frowned.

“Because I was right. You owe me,” I shrugged. “You’re fucking a married woman. God, you’re much more interesting than I thought.”

“Did you think I was boring at first?” He asked, smiling. I finished the rest of the papers and closed the laptop.

“Yeah, I did. You’re a teacher. You guys are boring as fuck.”

“We don’t show students that we have lives outside of school.” Our banter continued for a while until he realized he had to go before he was late for his pussy appointment.

I wasn’t rushing to get home. Going home only meant I would see Uncle Colton. Hopefully, he wouldn’t cause an argument between my parents.

  **

Laughter filled the nooks and crannies of our kitchen even though Dad and Uncle Colton were outside on the patio. I sucked in a short breath and tried to calm my annoyed nerves. How was it that my uncle was getting on my nerves even though I hadn’t seen him yet?

I mentally prepared myself to say hello by sucking in deep breaths and taking slow measured steps toward the French doors. I wasn’t prepared for what I saw though.

Uncle Colton was fine as fuck.

He sat across from my father at the patio table looking like a complete snack with his long, tanned legs stretched wide. He wore a pair of red basketball shorts along with a black t-shirt that hugged his defined pecs and showed off his muscular, tattooed arms. His facial hair had grown in and he was sporting a low beard that he didn’t have before…and were his teeth always that white?

I stumbled over my own feet walking outside. Even though it was chilly and the November air bit at my skin, I still managed to be hot. God, first I was lusting over Mr. Wilmore and now…

“Hey, Krissy. You’re home from school late again. Is this something I need to be concerned about?” Dad took a swallow of beer then set the bottle down on a coaster and eyed me, waiting for an answer. I tore my stare away from Uncle Colton long enough to shake my head.

Close your goddamn mouth, Krissy. Shit.

But I swear he wasn’t always that fine.

“Um…No, Dad. It’s just…I was helping my homeroom teacher with some papers. You know…extra credit.” I couldn’t have possibly fumbled my words more. Uncle Colton’s eyes raked over me then he went back to scrolling through his phone.

“You’re making straight A’s in his class, correct?” Dad asked.

“Yes.” I forced my gaze to my father.

“Shit, Joel, let me say hi to my niece before you start in on the whole father knows best bullshit.” When he stood, I tipped my head back to stare into his seafoam green eyes. Holy fuck they were brighter than I remembered.

He hugged me and I got a whiff of his cologne. It mixed with the light smell of beer on his breath and sunshine on his golden skin. “What’s up, Punk?” His nickname for me was still the same. I rolled my eyes as an involuntary reaction. I did melt into that hug though.

  “Hi, Uncle Colton.”

“Joe! Can you come in here and get your bags off my couch?” I heard my mother’s voice shout from inside the house. Dad cringed and excused himself.

“Damn, Kris. You’ve uh…grown.” He tilted his head to the side and chuckled, lifting his thick dark brows.

“Yeah. That’s what happens. You haven’t seen me in seven or eight years, Uncle Colton.”

“Clearly. When did you get those?” He glanced at my breasts and my cheeks heated as I covered my chest with my forearm. “You didn’t have them last time I was here. You definitely didn’t have that.” He looked behind me at my ass and made a pained expression. “You were supposed to stay little, Punk.”

“Can’t stay little forever.” Our gazes locked and a surge of something hot flushed through my body making desire pool in my panties.

“Nonsense, mija. You’ll always be my little girl.” Dad was back and taking his seat with a handsome smile. The newly acquired gray in his beard looked good against his brown skin. He didn’t look like a forty-three-year-old at all.

“Thank you, Daddy but I’m about to be eighteen in January. I’m grown in the eyes of the law.”

“Fuck the law,” Uncle Colton’s voice was gruff as we locked eyes again.

“Exactly. My baby will stay my baby. End of story,” Dad nodded, oblivious to the electricity crackling between his best friend and I.

I rolled my eyes at him and headed toward the French doors. “Good to see you again, Uncle Colton.”

“You too, Kris.” He wrapped his full lips around the beer bottle and I wondered what he’d feel like wrapping those same lips around my clit. I needed to get dicked down.

  Bad.

  **

Instead of bothering Mr. Wilmore and staying after school again, I rushed home once the last bell rang. I actually wanted to see my uncle this time. I wondered if I was old enough to call him Colton at this point? I mean, he wasn’t really my uncle but something about saying it did make me feel like I was being naughty by having fantasies about him.

Last night after my shower, I laid in bed with my legs spread, rubbing my pussy until I climaxed against my own hand. I called out Uncle Colton and it made things so intense. My teeth found my bottom lip as I drove home thinking about the torrid moment.

My father’s Mustang wasn’t home when I pulled up and I didn’t see my mother’s Porsche SUV either. I frowned and put my car in park. They never went anywhere together anymore.

When I walked inside, I dropped my keys on the foyer table and went into the kitchen. I nearly jumped out of my damn skin when I saw an unfamiliar girl cleaning the floors. I was used to our usual cleaning lady, Marcia. She was older with short silver hair and kind eyes.

This chick couldn’t have been older than me. Her dark hair was brushed into a perfect bun on top of her head and her uniform was too fucking tight. Her full tits nearly popped the button on her blue cotton shirt.

I stared at her for a few beats. She was beautiful and her eyes looked like jade. I wasn’t a petty girl but she rubbed me the wrong way and I couldn’t put my finger on why. I loved seeing other gorgeous girls but this one raised my hackles.

“Hello.” She forced a smile, “I’m Nadia. I’m the new housekeeper. You must be Kristabella.”

“Krissy,” I bit out in a sharp tone. “You can call me Krissy. Where’s my dad?” I moved to the fridge and opened the doors.

“Joel went to an unexpected business meeting.” I nearly broke my neck turning to face her again when she called my father by his first name.

“Did you just call my father…”

“What’s up, Punk?” Uncle Colton’s voice cut my words short. I forgot all about Nadia when I saw him without a shirt.

“Hey,” I smiled big and bright.

“Your dad ran out for a little while and Carmen is avoiding being in the same house with me,” he cracked a smiled. My mother couldn’t stand him. She always said he made my father forget he was a grown man. They did tend to slip right back into their college days when they were around each other.

I let the refrigerator close and headed into the hall. “You running off too, Kris?”

“I have homework.” I pointed to my backpack and hurried to the stairs. Being around him for too long wasn’t good. Evidently, my hormones were raging and I wasn’t thinking straight.

“Okay, I’m here if you need anything.”

“You know this is my house, right?” I asked, a smirk quirking up the corners of my mouth.

“Yeah, but I’ve been freeloading here longer.” He shrugged his broad shoulders and turned to walk away. I stared at his intricate tattoos and shook my head to clear the lust. God, he was fine. Too damn fine.

  Once I was upsta
irs, I closed my bedroom door and changed into a pair of white cotton shorts and a tank top.

Homework. Focus on homework, Krissy. Not your hot-as-fuck uncle downstairs.

Numbers turned to Greek as I stared at my computer. I found myself cursing Wilmore for insisting upon homework over the weekend. Before my mind ran away with fantasies about him, I shut the computer and sat in the middle of the floor.

I played some music hoping it would help me think of something other than dick. It didn’t help when Tank’s When We came on iTunes. Seriously, Universe? That’s the song you choose for me?

I stood up and paced the floor for a few minutes, scrolling through my phone for something else to listen to. Anything else. “Hey, I might actually need your help,” Uncle Colton opened my door without knocking, like an asshole, and I dropped my phone.

“Shit. Can you knock?” I huffed, bending down to pick it up.

“Can you watch your mouth? I know I’m the cool uncle and all but I’m still an adult, Krissy.” His tone was harsh and so was his expression. It threw me for a loop. He was never harsh. If anything he was painfully nonchalant.

“You barged into my room, Uncle Colton.” I narrowed my gaze, shaking off the shock.

“Listen, I need your help. I can’t connect to the fucking Wi-Fi.” He shoved his phone in my face like I was supposed to obey his command. A command he didn’t even verbalize.

“I know you’re not a toddler. Use your words,” I snapped.

“Stop being a pain in the fucking ass and put the password in. Now,” he grunted.

Who the hell did he think he was speaking to that way? Anger made me fist my hands at my sides. “Now, Kris.” He snapped his fingers and I snatched his phone then threw it at his chest.

“No.” I shoved him backward until he was standing in the hallway and then I slammed my door, locking it.

“I’m letting your father know what a disobedient little shit you are, Kristabella!” He shouted.

“He already knows!” I shouted back.

  **

When my father came home, I knew my bitch-ass uncle had ratted me out. I heard the grumbling and cursing before he reached my room. What made it even worse was the fact that it was all in Spanish.
