  About the Authors

  HAROLD RABINOWITZ is the director of The Reference Works and has served as executive editor of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology and science editor of the Encyclopedia Americana. He is the author of books on the history of aviation, the old west, and Judaica. He and his family live in Riverdale, New York.

  ROB KAPLAN has over twenty-five years experience in the book publishing industry. He has held senior-level editorial positions with several major New York–based publishing houses and currently heads his own literary services firm, Rob Kaplan Associates, which he founded in 1998. He lives with his wife, two children, two cats, and more than 4,000 books in Cortlandt Manor, New York.
