“Glad to see you out, brother,” Redbeard whistles at me while slamming the door to the van shut.

In seconds, I have taken off the prison clothes and I’m wearing street clothes. “Fuck! I can’t tell you how good it feels to wear jeans!” I declare. Wearing the prison clothes for the past few years has been hard because I’m a biker. Bikers are supposed to wear jeans, leather… Boots.

Someone bangs their fist on the side of the van to get us to go. Bishop jumps in the front seat and I’m looking around for any clue on what just happened.

“Not that I don’t mind being broken out of prison, mind telling me why?” I ask sardonically. I’m dying to know why they would risk their lives to bail me out of prison. Not just their lives because they could be killed, the fact that they could be sharing a cell with me.

It’s not fucking fun in prison.

Bishop swears under his breath. “Show him the file,” he barks at Elvis.

Elvis has always had a cocky smile on his face like he knows something that you don’t. This time, the smile is grim. Bleak. Almost non-existent. “Go ahead and look at everything. You’ll know why in a second.”

First note is handwritten with a picture of Sinclair and the twins in her house. The handwriting is sloppy, slanted with enough curve in it to make it either a man’s or woman’s handwriting.

  Bishop:

Time is running out for the options we have for you. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll give us your pipeline. You have 24 hours.

Below the threat, there’s a couple dozen photos of Sinclair. “What the fuck is this shit? Do you know who’s doin’ this?” I bark.

The thought of someone hurting Sinclair or the twins is too much for me to even think about. I’ve been in prison for a few years and I’m already freakin’ the fuck out. People get life in prison for sneaking out.

  Actually, I was busted out.

“We’ve tried to keep eyes on her, but the chick is smart,” Elvis replies with a slow tone. “Sin’s constantly ducking out of our sight. She knows we’re watching her. And we can’t let her know someone’s watching her. She’s already pissed as fuck with us.”

  Because of you.

He didn’t have to say it but I knew that’s what he meant. I’ve known all along that I’m to blame.

I rub the back of my neck, feeling the fuz of my hair that’s growing back in from when I shaved it a couple of weeks ago. “So, you want me to go down there and watch her?”

Bishop chuckles. “You didn’t think we’d bust you outta prison to drink a beer with ya, did ya?”

It’s my turn to chuckle. “You guys know she’ll probably castrate me, right? The chick hates me.”

The president’s eyes gleam. “We need you with her and my granddaughters. You need a place to hide out until shit settles. It’s a perfect set up.”

Can’t wait for more Masters Of Chaos? They will be back soon with the next chapter in Hulk, Sinclair and Caleb’s story.

  XOXO,

  Eden
