“Are you ready, darling?” I nod. “Let’s go get you married.”
Walking down the aisle I see our family and friends standing and smiling. My eyes are on Ayden and Grayson as I take each step closer to my forever. Every breath I’m taking and every step I’m taking I know my happily ever after is coming soon.
When Thomas hands me to Ayden, he gladly takes my hand and smiles.
“Are you ready to be my wife?”
“Are you ready to be my husband?”
Neither of us answers as we turn to the priest ready to make an unbreakable promise.
The ceremony was beautiful and the reception is beautiful. We have the wedding in Canandaigua by the water. It’s a special place for us, and we plan to spend more time here.
“We’re married,” I whisper, resting my head against his chest. “We actually made it.”
“I know we did, sweetheart.”
I look around and see our family and friends dancing and laughing. Today is an amazing day, and I don’t want it to end.
“Thank you for giving me the best day of my life. I love you, Ayden Sharp, so much.”
“And I love you, Camila Sharp,” he smiles, kissing my lips with so much love and tenderness my knees nearly give out. “I’m going to love you until the day I take my final breath.”
“Don’t think too far ahead. I want my forever with you and to cherish each day.”
“Of course.”
Ayden tightens his arms around me. Gazing into his eyes, his happiness radiates, and I’m glad he’s finally found comfort and security.

I’VE TAKEN TIME off from work, and we’ve traveled through Europe. It’s been an incredible time with my family. Seeing the look in Camila’s eyes while exploring Paris or seeing her relax on the beaches of Spain is something I would never trade. Our lives are better and richer because of our promise to one another.
We’re heading home now, and she’s sleeping on my shoulder while Grayson naps in his car seat. Looking at my family, I know this is how my life is going to be – happy.
Thomas pulls into the driveway and helps me with Grayson. Carrying Camila into our home, I place her on our bed and take Grayson from Thomas.
“Thank you, Thomas,” I whisper. “I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Welcome back, Sir.”
Thomas leaves, and I bring Grayson to his room. Gently placing him in his crib, I kiss his forehead. “Goodnight, son. Mama and Daddy will see you in the morning.”
Camila is resting peacefully on the bed, but I have other plans. I slide into bed with her, bringing her in my arms. She moves slightly and opens her eyes.
“We’re home,” I tell her.
She sighs, “I miss Europe already.”
“I know you do. We can make it a yearly trip. We’re going to travel the world, and you’ll experience everything wonderful. I know you’re tired, but what about a nice bath to relax you?”
“Mmm, that sounds nice.” Carrying her to the bathroom, I set her down and prepare a bath for my beautiful wife. “Are you trying to get lucky tonight, husband?”
“Why, yes I am, wife,” I turn and wink. “Maybe a few times.”
The water fills the tub, and I watch Camila take off her clothes and climb in. Taking the loofa, I pour on body wash and lather it up.
