Corviticus University: Family Ties

“My father needs to know about this right away. A warlock practicing necromancy is a big deal,” Lucas stated.

Walter nodded in defeat. “I know, I’m so sorry. But none of us can choose our family.”

“You’re preaching to the choir,” Skip muttered, but no one laughed, nor was he expecting a response.

This was deadly serious, and we needed to figure out what was going on.

We left Walter in my void, finding ourselves back by the cruiser.

“Well, I’ll portal us to my dad, although he’s probably dealing with Claire right now. What a mess,” Lucas sighed as he ran a hand through his hair.

Mess was one word for it.

I could feel my banshee pushing at me urgently. She believed this was a dire situation.

“I know, let’s go,” Lucas said, reading my thoughts.

At least we had one another, and we knew people who could help.

We’d figure this out, we had to.

Maple Grove could depend on it.
