DEBRA HYDE’s lesbian smut has appeared in Best of the Best Meat Erotica, Body Check: Erotic Lesbian Sports Stories, Ripe Fruit: Erotica for Well Seasoned Lovers, www.suspectthoughts.com, and Prometheus Magazine. She is a regular contributor to both www.scarletletters.com and www.yesportal.com, maintains the pansexual weblog called “Pursed Lips,” and writes erotica for everyone. Debra flags right and wishes she looked less femme.
ABBE IRELAND’s stories have appeared in The Ghost of Carmen Miranda, Skin Deep, Best Lesbian Love Stories 2003, Burned Into Memory, and Underneath It All. Abbe currently hangs out in the Arizona desert with a herd of neutered tomcats—an odd life dynamic for writing lesbian stories, but it seems to work.
ISA MAGDALENA is a teacher and lifelong student of the erotic, using the language of hands and body in her experiential classes and coaching. She developed and taught workshops for XOX and the Body Electric School in the ’90s. Her forthcoming book Take Off Your Clothes, Beloved shares her vision of a transgressing paradigm of sex and gender that embraces both sacred and profane. Her Sex Coach website is www.xtasia.info.
MIRIAM R. SACHS MARTÍN is hotter than flamin’ hot Cheetos, and wetter than the Lexington Reservoir. She loves to muck around in the place where poetry becomes intimacy and the word becomes song. She’s a five-foot one-half-inch Cuban Jewish dyke who loves East San Jose, where she lives, teaches English as a second language, produces the spoken word event “Fierce Words Tender,” and in every way worships things both feral and feline (purrrowrr!).
SKIAN MCGUIRE is a working-class Quaker leatherdyke who lives in the wilds of western Massachusetts with her dog pack, a collection of motorcycles, and her partner of twenty-one years. Her work has appeared in Best Bisexual Erotica 2, Best Lesbian Erotica 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003, HLFQ, and the webzines www.scarletletters.com, www.nestovipers.org, www.storymistress.com, and www.suspectthoughts.com. She has also appeared in On Our Backs, and will soon be in Bad Attitude. Her chapbook, LoveSexGod&Everything, won the 2003 Cambridge Poetry Award for best poetry publication. A collection of her erotic fiction, Remote Control and Other Weegee Stories, will be released shortly by Top Dog Press.
ANDREA MILLER has a degree in English literature and a degree in journalism. She is currently teaching English as a second language in her Canadian hometown, but she has also taught in Korea and Japan. If her employers happen to read this, she wants them to know that she has never fucked anyone on a table at work.
PEGGY MUNSON has been in seven editions of Best Lesbian Erotica, as well as in the collections On Our Backs: The Best Erotic Fiction, Tough Girls, Genderqueer, Hers 3, and Best Bisexual Erotica 2. KRISTEN E. PORTER is an acupuncturist, teacher, director of a nonprofit, and the founder of Dyke Night Productions, which hosts a weekly lesbian dance party in Boston. She has been published previously in Skin Deep and Faster Pussycats. She has never been to Missouri, but longs to one day leave the city for a rural existence of raising babies on a farm with her beloved.
ELSPETH POTTER’s credits include Best Lesbian Erotica 2001, 2002, and 2003, Best Women’s Erotica 2002, Amoret, and Tough Girls: Down and Dirty Dyke Erotica. She’s written stories involving fisting at a hot spring, a threesome in a zero gravity chamber, and a cell phone set on vibrate. “Wire” is a sequel to “Camera,” which appeared in Best Lesbian Erotica 2002.
JEAN ROBERTA writes erotica, reviews, articles, and opinion pieces for various publications, mostly colorful and obscure. She teaches first-year English courses at a Canadian prairie university. During the past twenty years, she has been proud to watch the queer community in her town progress from silence and shame to its present visibility. Her stories have appeared in Best Lesbian Erotica 2000 and 2001, Wicked Words 8, and in numerous other anthologies.
E. ROBINSON lives, works and makes her home in the City of Big Shoulders, the Windy City, Holy Cow!…Chicago. She earns her keep as an ad producer. This is her first published erotica.
SPARKY’s work has appeared on www.dykediva.com, www.technodyke.com, www.darkplay.net and www.play-butch.com. She can be reached at sparky@geeklife.com.
JERA STAR writes erotica, handcrafts wooden spanking paddles, and dreams of running away to the circus. Her writing has appeared in various Canadian magazines and lesbian erotica anthologies.
RAKELLE VALENCIA is a confirmed bug-eyed pervert of the “trysexual” nature (try anything). New to writing, she looks forward to joining the ranks of the best erotica writers and is awaiting the contracted publication of her novel, Mail Order Bride, a lesbian-themed Western, under the pen name of R. C. Kayelle.
KYLE WALKER’s work has appeared in the anthologies Best Lesbian Erotica 2003 (“Luck of the Irish”) and A Woman’s Touch (“Why They Are Called Bad Girls”), and on the Internet (“Sticks and Balls” at hottlead.com). “Paisley Comes Back” is from a novel-in-progress, What People Want. Kyle recently appeared in Ed Valentine’s Women Behind the Bush at En Avant Playwrights.
JEWEL BLACKFEATHER WELTER is a snarling little lynx of a creature who lives in an Illinois town with a Greek name amidst fields of grain and honey. Currently, she conducts interviews with well-known people for Numb Magazine, where she has earned death threats for her interview with Noam Chomsky, was sent loads of chopsticks for her interview with Yoko Ono, and wrote an elegy for Gwendolyn Brooks. Sometimes she cries when it rains, other times she howls. Both are good things.
JENI WRIGHT is currently living in New York City, where she misses the lush landscapes of Connecticut. A seven-year resident of Washington D.C., she developed her writing vice by performing poetry at Mothertongue events and keeping lots of journals, many of which were written on her rooftop. Currently she reviews books for www.africana.com and www.coloredgirls.com, while attending the public interest program at Queens College. She can be reached at savorydc@hotmail.com.
KRISTINA WRIGHT is an old-fashioned girl with a hedonistic heart and she happily admits to being a contradiction in terms. Her work has appeared in the anthologies Bedroom Eyes: Tales of Lesbians in the Boudoir, Best Lesbian Erotica 2002, Ripe Fruit, Sweet Life, and Best Women’s Erotica 2000, as well as e-zines including www.cleansheets.com and www.scarletletters.com. She lives in Virginia with her very supportive husband and a menagerie of pets. Contact her at KristinaCW@aol.com.
FIONA ZEDDE is a transplanted Jamaican lesbian currently living and loving in Atlanta, Georgia. She spends half her days in the city’s fabulous feminist bookstore, Charis Books and More, and the other half chained to her computer working on her first novel and an endless collection of smutty stories. Yeah, she went to college for that.
