The Alien Chief's Bargained Bride

My breathing hitched as our eyes met, his hand slipping between us to take the place of my fingers. He gave me a tentative touch before rolling the flesh between his fingers. My hands clawed at his back as pleasure radiate from his touch in droves, hips falling apart as I came undone with a small cry, tears and stars blurring my vision.

When I came down from my high, gasping for air like I was drowning, I could feel him pressing against my entrance. He started to push his hips into mine wrenching a gasp from my throat.

My fingers tightened on his shoulders, my blunt nails finding purchase on his back. My breath was caught in my throat as he stilled above me his cock barely breaching me.

  “Are you okay?”

“I-I’m fine,” I panted. I felt myself being stretched as my inner walls clamped down on him.

Holy shit! It didn’t hurt nearly as much as I’d expected. He continued, surging forward until his hips met mine, and he was fully sheathed within me.

My whole body felt like it was on fire.

I wanted more. Wiggling my hips, I signaled him to move and give me the delicious friction my body was begging for.

I clung to him as he thrusted into me, ripping scream after scream from my throat as he ravaged me time and time again with his cock.

My legs started to quiver as another orgasm built, and before I knew what hit me, I was falling over the edge again, my back bowing with the sheer force of my pleasure. As I came to, still a bit dazed from my last orgasm, Alek’dar was still pounding into me—almost animalistic as he growled above me chasing his own pleasure.

I reached up and peppered kisses on his jaw, bucking my hips in time with his thrusts and hooked my legs together behind his ass. The bottom feathers of his wings brushed against my thighs in time with his vigorous movement, almost tickling me. He buried his face against my throat, changing the angle of his thrusts and was somehow able to reach even deeper inside me.

This was apparently the change he needed before he reached his own climax, stiffening as his cock emptied deep inside of me.

Feeling him release his seed sent a surge of satisfaction through me, and I couldn’t help but shudder in pleasure.

  Mine.

Mallory laid half splayed against me. I was content to lie here in silence, basking in her presence and had every intention of doing so. However, as she adjusted her position to get comfortable, I heard her hiss in pain.

A wave of concern rippled through me along with pure male satisfaction.

  "Are you okay, aashra?"

"I'll be fine. It just stings a little," she murmured, dismissing my concerns with a wave of her hand. "By the way, what does that mean?"

  "What does what mean?"

"Aashra," she mimicked. Her pronunciation was absolutely atrocious.

I gave her a small smile. "Ahh. It is a term of endearment—that you are my beloved."

"Oh." She went quiet again for a moment before she shifted to get a look at my face.

“So what happened today?” Mallory inquired, brushing her fingers lightly against my grey colored chest. A blush had taken up semi-permanent residence on her cheeks. Likely in response to our mating, which gave me a sense of satisfaction.

I was a bit confused as to what she might have been referring to, and I was silent for a moment before asking, “What do you mean?”

“When you dropped me off at your mother's house, you were acting a bit distant. And the visitor this morning…”

  I gave a heavy sigh.

I wouldn’t lie to her. She was my aashra and deserved nothing but the truth from me.“I was participating in a daurmadya—a fight” I corrected immediately upon seeing the confusion on her face, “—with some members of my war council.”

She gasped, sitting up abruptly and pulling me with her before doing a thorough search for wounds over my torso. Not that she would find any. I’d made sure to see Bel’an after reestablishing my role as the leader of the flock. “A fight? Were you hurt?”

I shook my head in the negative. I’d received nothing but mere flesh wounds, and Bel’an was able to heal those in mere moments. “I am fine. Bel’an was able to heal my flesh wounds.”

“Well, I’m glad you’re okay.” She fell silent for a moment, nibbling on her bottom lip before asking what I already saw coming, “What did you get into a fight over?”

“You. You joining our flock had them questioning my ability to lead.”

Tears pricked her eyes as she withdrew from me. “Oh… I’m sorry to have caused you so much trouble.”

I followed her and closed the distance between us. I pulled her into my lap, briefly resting my forehead on hers.

“It is not your fault, aashra,” I reassured her. Many in the flock still had doubts as today had proven, but I… we would prove them wrong.

After a moment she asked, “Did… did you win?”

As if I’d allow myself to be beaten by lesser males. Snorting, I murmured, “Yes.”

She nodded enthusiastically, “I’m glad to hear it.”

A small breeze flitted through the dwelling causing Mallory to shiver in response to it hitting her bare flesh; her nipples hardened. I could feel my loins stirring once again with the desire for my mate’s supple body.

“That reminds me….” Mallory murmured, bringing me out of my lust filled thoughts.

  “Yes?”

“I was wondering, do the Vrun maybe have some warmer clothing?” She asked, rubbing some warmth back into her arms.

Tamping down my desire for her, I nodded briefly. “Yes they do. I noticed you’ve been getting chilled lately. I apologize that I have not yet taken action to rectify that.”

She shook her head, placing a hand on my chest. “No, no. It’s fine. I know you’re busy, Alek’dar.”

“Still. It will only get cooler,” Frowning, I explained, “I was unaware how chilled your kind get. I will have to come up with a solution quickly.”

“Thank you for taking care of me.”

“You are my aashra, it is my duty to care for you.”

It had been my oversight upon construction of our dwelling that it might not be enough protection for her. She was human, so a typical Striss home would not offer her the protection from the chill of winter. Her kind had not evolved to withstand the cold as the flock had.

“I will make some modifications to our home to help keep it warmer for you.”

“Are you sure? I mean… I could just acquire more season appropriate clothing,” she offered.

I shook my head. “With as cold as it will get you still need warmer clothing, but this is your home too, and I will adjust it so you are comfortable as well. And I will take you to visit your human settlement as well as to the Vrun over the next couple of days.”

“I was kind of worried you’d forgotten,” she admitted with a small smile.

  “Never, aashra.”

  “Alek’dar?” she breathed.

  “Yes?”

“I think…” Her cheeks colored, and she averted her eyes from mine. “I’m really glad that you’re my husband. I couldn’t have ended up with anyone better.”

I could feel the desire I’d pushed down renew with vigor, and I found myself unable to tamp it down. I turned her to face me, my cock hard with want for her.

  “Alek’dar?”

I nipped her shoulder, drawing her flush against me, my cock resting against her stomach. “I intend on taking you once more before we sleep so long as you are agreeable.”

She flushed ever so prettily, nibbling on her bottom lip with a coy smile. “Oh.”

  Chapter Ten

  Mallory

It had been easy falling into a routine with Alek’dar over the next few days. Every evening we would make love in the warmth of our bed, Alek’dar showing me the world of pleasure. It was like the floodgates had opened, and we couldn’t get enough of one another.

During the day, he would take me to visit with his mothe
r and sister while he and his brother would work on preparations for the upcoming Festival

From what was explained to me, it was the celebration of a planet crossing into the orbit of New Earth—though they called this one Haasji. It happened once every six years, and the festivities would occur over the span of seven days.

I was kind of excited because I hadn’t really had a chance to partake in the settlement’s traditions. I had my hands full from working full time and taking care of Stephanie.

Plus you kind of had to have credits to do anything really. We just didn’t have any to spare.

Not that I could ever resent my little sister for it. She was my family, and I couldn’t just stand by and do nothing to help her. It just wasn’t in me.

Today was finally the day that we would visit the human settlement just like Alek’dar promised, and I could finally mail Stephanie my letter. I found myself nervous and full of butterflies. It had been about a week and a half since Alek’dar had taken me from my home in the middle of the night. This was my first time heading back.

  It felt weird.

And not necessarily in a good way.

I had gotten so used to spending time with Alek’dar and his family—getting used to a completely foreign culture—that the thought of going back to the human settlement was kind of unsettling. I knew how humans were—judgemental and close minded. Hell, they didn’t even bother to see if there were other intelligent life forms on the planet. Though it appeared that the other two species were more private than the Striss and less likely to show themselves to an invasive species.

Depending on how well today went would determine if I would be able to brave the journey back to face my old people in the future. But this first trip was a necessity.

I had to send Stephanie her letter.

While I had been dressing in the more traditional clothing of the Striss that Alek’dar had provided me, I knew that I couldn’t dare set foot in the settlement dressed in such a manner. So as soon as I was able to rub the sleep out of my eyes, I changed into my human garb.

It felt weird wearing one of my old dresses.

I ignored his frown; I could not go back with that much skin showing. It was bad enough that his family had seen me completely naked. I wasn’t going to add more people to the list of seeing more of my skin than necessary.

“When are we meeting the others?” I asked as I styled my hair into a bun at the nape of my neck.

  “Shortly.”

  “Okay.”

We were going to be arriving with a caravan of goods. The first of many to come from our union. Part of me was nervous because once we entered the city, all eyes would be on us. Hell, I knew we would have plenty of attention before we even stepped foot inside the walls of the human settlement.

There would probably even be an escort once we were in range of their carved out territory to keep an eye on their alien visitors.

I double checked that I had everything I would need in the human settlement, the few credits I’d kept for myself for supplies and Stephanie’s letter. I made sure it was secure in my bag and strapped across my back.

“I’m ready whenever you are, Alek’dar.”

“You seem eager to return,” he murmured.

I blinked, startled. Holding my hands up, I shook my head vigorously. “I promise. I just want to send my letter to my sister. That’s about it.”

“Are you certain?” He asked with his head cocked to the side studying me at length.

  I nodded once. “Quite.”

After another long moment, he gestured to me, I stepped into his arms, and we set out to the caravans.

It didn’t take but a few minutes to arrive where we saw a flurry of activity as they finished preparing the wagons for the journey.

Honestly I was a little surprised that they were wagons, but Alek’dar explained that the prolonged flight would be too much of an unnecessary strain with the accumulated weight of everything for that length of a flight. And by air it would take at least an hour to arrive at the settlement.

  On foot was another matter.

In total, there were fifteen of us making the journey to the settlement. We would be passing by a couple of the outlying villages, and I thought about maybe checking out the wares in those first because I knew how poor they were in comparison to the main settlement. Any extra credits helped.

  Which reminded me.

I was going to have to ask Alek’dar if there was some way I would be able to earn some income for myself so that I might be able to partake in the festivities. I didn’t want to stand on the sidelines or be a burden. I hated even having to ask—I was so used to providing for myself.

  “Alek’dar?”

  “Yes, aashra?”

“I was wondering…” He waited patiently for me to continue. “I was wondering how I might earn some credits? Or the equivalent for the Striss?”

  “For what?” He asked carefully.

Biting my lip, I glanced away, heat flooding my cheeks. “Well, I was wanting to do stuff at the festival, and I don’t think that you all take human currency.”

After a brief pause, he sighed heavily. “I apologize for my oversight, aashra. When it comes to currency, what's mine is yours. I will provide for anything you require.”

“Still, I don’t want to be a bother.” I shrugged. “I’m used to working anyway, with having a ton of bills to pay.”

He seemed to be contemplating my request before nodding in consent. “If you are so insistent, I shall try to find something for you to occupy with your free time when we return, aashra.”

I felt a rush of relief. “Thank you, Alek’dar. I would really appreciate it.”

Honestly, I was getting a bit stir crazy. I wasn’t used to just sitting back and doing nothing. Even as a child, I wasn’t one to just sit still. And at twenty, I wasn’t about to start now.

After that brief conversation, Alek’dar oversaw the rest of the men, making sure everyone was as efficient as possible. Though he gave his brother explicit instructions to watch over me.

I made sure not to interact with him too much; I knew by now he wasn’t really into the whole, ‘human sister-in-law’ thing. And I wasn’t going to add fuel to the flames.

Rather, I eyed the animals that would be pulling the wagons. They looked like a mixture of a horse and a frog at the same time. Completely unnatural.

But then, on Haasji this was natural.

They were large, roughly six feet tall or so. They were a mixture of brown and black, and lined up with the trees they would be virtually impossible to see.

As if they could feel my staring, one of them turned its massive head towards me, its huge black eyes gazing in my direction lazily.

Shuddering, I hastened back towards the end of the caravan and away from all of the animals, hoping that it didn’t take them too much longer before we set off.

While the harati had finally been consummated, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

Not with Mallory, per se. But something was bothering me, and every time she spoke to me, I felt my feathers stand on end.

Unfortunately, without anything to go by, I put the feeling to the back of my mind and focused on getting the caravans ready for travel.

I had wanted to spend more time alone with my aashra, but I had my duties as the Chief of the flock.

  They came first.

And it seemed to me that forcing them to interact with her would be best, so this morning, after arriving at the wagons, I instructed Qui’da to keep an eye on her. While we were still in our territory, that didn’t mean that there wouldn’t be stray animals or the like that wouldn’t pass up on an easy meal.

And humans essentially were, all things considered, easy prey.

I disliked having her so out in the open, but it was a necessity. There was strength in numbers, and I didn’t trust the humans as far as I could toss them.

  Except ma
ybe Mallory.

She seemed to be an exception, getting along with my family and handling everything as well as she had. It was kind of surprising, honestly.

  But a pleasant surprise, nonetheless.

She was in for a surprise upon our return from the human settlement as well.

While we were away, I was having several of my men and women work on our home to make it more appropriate for her sensitivities.

After all, I couldn’t risk her catching a chill or something. Not when it was preventable by just making a few basic changes to our dwelling. While it wouldn’t be as open as a regular Striss home was, it was also her home and she wasn’t a Striss—she was human.

Hopefully she approved of the changes when we returned.

It took well over five hours to travel from the Striss village to the Settlement.

About midway to the Settlement, we had to stop for a break so the horse/frogs things could rehydrate.

I made a note to ask Alek’dar what they were called because I couldn’t just keep referring to them as horse/frog things.

I took the break to explore the landscape around us, though Alek’dar stood within arms length of me the entire time. It was the first time I’d really gotten to see the land like this. Any would be predators had cleared out long before we came across them, probably due to our numbers. On rare occasions I did see a few native creatures scurrying about as we traversed the land, but they didn’t seem predatory in nature. Not that that meant anything.

My bottom was sore from riding on the back of a wagon, and was probably black and blue by now; I had to refrain from rubbing it.

  “Are you well, aashra?”

He must have seen me wince or something. I hated to bother him with something so trivial.

“Oh! I’m fine, Alek’dar.” I waved him off, changing the subject, “What are those animals called that are pulling the wagons?”
