The Threshold

Licking his middle finger clean, he pondered to himself for a moment and then nodded slightly, saying, “Sweet…just as I expected you to be.”

She didn’t know if that was good or bad where he was concerned, but she felt herself blush anyway.

“We must help you get over that shyness one day,” he observed. “But for now, let’s concentrate on your enjoyment. Here, have a taste.”

With that he placed his index finger, still moist from her, at her lips which remained closed.

“Go on, have a lick,” he urged. “Everyone should taste themselves at least once in their existence.”

Steeling herself for what she was about to do, but reminding herself that he would help her in the end, she allowed Belial’s finger to edge its way into her mouth. Slowly she closed her mouth around and sucked while he moved it teasingly inside. Eventually pulling it out, he grinned crookedly and said, “I’ve given you some pleasure, now its time for some of my own, is it not?”

Mara decided it would do her no good to deny him or act shy about it, so she agreed, but it didn’t stop her from worrying about the possible corrupt deeds he had in mind. Even through the dark he could see the uncertain look on her face and said in response, “Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle with you…tonight. I’m not allowed to hurt you.”

His words did little to comfort her, as she got the feeling that his being gentle was definitely not his wish but an order from a higher power. She had a feeling that if he was not under such close watch, he would not hesitate to cause her the pain he so longed to inflict. But she supposed she should be grateful to Lucifer, if only for that reason. She wasn’t too keen on letting Belial run loose with his desires, no matter if her new and temporary self enjoyed a bit of pain and pleasure.

“Yes, of course,” she managed to reply, although a bit breathless from her exertion.

He wasn’t listening to her though, he had used the time she had been lost in thought to unbutton his slacks and remove his rock hard manhood from its depths. His member was just as impressive as his sculpted torso, measuring a good ten inches in length and wide enough to fit snugly into a welcoming orifice without tearing it…much. While the rest of his body seemed bloodless, his erect phallus seemed to have enough blood flow to pump two hearts and it was already pulsating with the need for release before it entered her. While she had thought it would be painful to take such a large man into her, it was actually quite pleasurable and this she attributed to the many gifts she had received in her transition, since her body seemed to accept sexual pleasure with ease.

Belial’s brow furrowed for a minute upon entry, but his face soon relaxed as he began to pump himself into her, thrusting his hips into her thighs with slow but hardened thrusts. Causing her to moan from the burning sensation that his torturing pace was bringing about, he threw his head back to feel the tightening around his shaft and take it with unbridled pleasure as he closed his eyes. Mara met his pleasure with her own as she began to moan louder as he sped up the pace a bit. She had forgotten how enjoyable this activity was, but her memory was soon being restored as he began pummeling her with wild thrusts, jabbing his hardened prick into her sensitive cavity repeatedly until she was nearly screaming from the exaltation of it all. The friction ceased a bit and her rapturous cries died down, as did Belial’s thrusting.

At this point the end of the whip came quickly coiling around Mara’s neck until it engulfed it. Without warning, Belial yanked on the whip handle and this caused Mara to be pulled into a sitting position. The whip then released her and she found herself still impaled on Belial’s towering member and sitting comfortably on his thighs. Releasing the whip from his grasp, he wrapped his arms around her back and pulled her close, mashing her up against him. The thin layer of sweat that now covered their bodies only made it easier for them to move as Mara took her cue and began to do a little thrusting of her own. In their current position it provided much more friction against her clit for her enjoyment and much more enjoyment for him as now her body took his entire length in and engulfed him in a tight, hot blanket of moist flesh, and he liked nothing better. As she moved up and down slowly on his shaft, he took time out to shower her with kisses along her top half. Her neck, her shoulders, her chest, her breasts, all of it was covered by his appreciative lips and he left nothing to be desired.

Eventually, they began to grow tired and Belial decided to take over to bring them to a united climax. Grabbing her hips, he began lifting her slightly up before bringing her crashing back down upon him in a quick paced rhythm. Their bodies turned to fire as the approaching climax drew near and they gave in to any and every impulse they harbored as their bodies merged and they found themselves in the throes of ecstasy, writhing and biting, licking and scratching. In the final moments, Mara wrapped her arms around him, holding her wrist at his back to squeeze him tightly and then entangling them in his hair as he grabbed a breast to suck while their bodies shared an orgasm more powerful than any she could remember.

With his last thrust, Belial let out a low moan and laid his head on her shoulder, breathing hotly into her neck as she held him. His member stayed within her walls for several minutes afterwards and stayed hard as well, which was surprising. After a little while he laid her back down on the mattress and gave her a kiss full of longing passion, twisting his tongue and imprisoning her mouth with it, that she found very stimulating. Afterwards, he pulled out of her and collapsed beside her on the bed. Still caught up in the moment, Mara edged closer to his body and he allowed it, not pulling away and not objecting to it. She wiped some of the damp strands of blond hair from his cheeks that had stuck themselves there and curled up with him under the dark comforter which had suddenly reappeared back on her bed.

  Chapter Ten

“Well, I must admit that was better than I had anticipated,” he said hoarsely, one hand behind his head on the pillow and the other resting on his stomach.

Truthfully, it had been better than Mara had anticipated as well, but she decided not to let her surprise and enamored feelings show too much for fear it might rouse his suspicions. But then he could read minds whenever he wanted, couldn’t he?

“Well, I suppose my gratitude to your approval is in order, isn’t it?” she asked.

Awakening his arrogance once again, he opened his one eye to peer out at her and said, “Why, yes, I suppose it is.”

“Then many thanks, m’lord,” she said, staring him in the eye as her hand strayed beneath the covers to rest upon his shaft, which was just beginning to soften. She decided not to let it happen and began stroking it provocatively, causing Belial’s eyes to open fully and turn to her. Suspicion masked them for a moment as he spoke, “You sure change your mind easily.”

She met his gaze at that, and replied, “Just giving you what you deserve, that’s all. You awakened my desire. Just want to repay you for it. Is that so bad?”

Her strokes became more insistent as he mulled over this. “No, I suppose not,” he said at last.

He was not given much time to think though as Mara sank beneath the blanket to provide some very stimulating pleasure, making Belial realize that fellatio was not something she needed schooling on. He berated himself for not starting his assignment with her yet as he knew he didn’t have much time but decided to let this particular night go as simply a night of pleasures and nothing more. No schooling, no lessons, no punishments, just pure and simple pleasure for their own enjoyment. He could start the lessons tomorrow. With that decision, he pulled her head up and kissed her fully before flipping her onto her back and reaping his pleasures from her cries of ecstasy once more as they continued their fornicating into the wee hours.

The next morning, Mara awakened to find Belial gone. After dressing, she walked from her room downstairs to see if she could locate him through the house. Upon inspection of the dining room, parlor, hallway, and study she found the place to be deserted. Also to her dismay she found the entrance doors to be locked still
. Wondering where her host had slipped off to, she wandered about the empty house, deciding to finally give herself that tour she had planned to take. But making her way through the mansion was no easy task. There were trap doors, glaring statues that seemed to scrutinize her every move, hidden rooms, and hallways that seemed never-ending. Fascinated by the house’s structure, Mara continued her exploration for hours, as the house was actually much larger than the eye could discern from the outside and completely forgot about Belial’s absence. Completely exhausting her search of the second and first floors, she wandered aimlessly about, bored in her solitude and seemingly hopeless in her task.

“There must be some way out of here,” she said softly to herself, hoping that none of Belial’s stone guards would hear.

Her journey through the many rooms only left her hopes of escape dashed as she had yet to find any way out of its walls. She had come to the conclusion that she had no choice but to remove herself from Belial’s clutches and find Lucifer’s domain on her own. It had become obvious to her that Belial had lied about delivering her to the infernal emperor as he said he would since he had not done so at the agreed upon time. And if he had lied about that, she could only assume that he was deceiving her in more ways than one and had no intentions of making good on any promises. Therefore, due to the time limit of her mission and for the sake of her own sanity, she thought it best to be rid of him for the remainder of her stay. She had gotten a taste the previous night of just how intoxicating his powers could be and she didn’t want to risk control of her willpower any longer. There was no telling how long he planned on keeping her there and what he planned to do with her in that time. And though she grudgingly admitted to herself that she had enjoyed last night’s activities, she reminded herself that her momentary need for pleasure could not heed her mission, no matter how enjoyable the festivities proved to be. Her top priority was and always had been to locate the sword and to do that she would have to find a way out.

Moving into the kitchen to satisfy her hunger, she glimpsed a door off to the right that had not been there before, upon her first visit. Staring at it bewildered, she pondered over the slight possibility that it was just another one of Belial’s illusions to amuse himself and make a fool out of his guests. But upon a closer inspection, Mara found the door to be quite real indeed, only there seemed to be no way to open it. There was no knob to turn, no handle to click, and upon pushing it she found that it wouldn’t move. Squinting at the door’s structure in hopes of finding a clue, she figured out why she had not noticed this passageway before. The door itself appeared to be camouflaged, blending in with its surrounding dark charcoal walls, and with the tiny amount of light that was allowed to roam free in the house, it didn’t seem to draw attention to itself. Appearing to be just a part of the wall, the door would be nearly invisible to someone passing by, the only thing giving it away would be its outline carved delicately along the wood. Chewing on her fingernail, trying to figure out a way through it, Mara stood trying to put the pieces to the puzzle together. Perhaps it was designed to open on command.

Deciding it was worth a shot, Mara voiced every command she could think of but was obviously wrong in her assumption for the door remained locked. Shoulders slumped and head down, Mara wracked her brain for any possible solution. She looked at the design etched into the door, a backwards crucifix with several malcontented spirits pulling it down into a vortex, but couldn’t see any hidden buttons or levers. Then suddenly, just as had been the case upon her entrance to Hell, a morphing face formed towards the door’s crown. Peering at her through wooden eyes, it spoke with indifference as if it were growing weary of its job as a gatekeeper.

“You wish to pass?” it asked.

“Yes, what lies beyond?” Mara inquired, watching the bodies swim throughout its features.

“Catacombs,” it answered, “beyond that…well, no one quite knows for sure. You see, no one has ever returned through this door after walking through it without the master guiding them. Those that cross this threshold alone, seldom recount their journey to anyone. And, seeing as how I do not see the master beside you, I assume you are one such spirit. But go ahead, try your luck. There is something beyond these doors, a lost treasure if you will, that many have sought but none have found.”

Its answer intrigued her and sparked her curiosity enough to ask the gatekeeper to let her through. She was hit with a warning but she assured it that her confidence was not shaken and asked to let her pass.

“There is but one way to open these doors,” it answered.

  “Which is?”

“You must sacrifice something,” it replied.

Mara’s eyes widened a bit and she looked at the gatekeeper questioningly.

“Don’t look so alarmed, your blood will do,” it answered with a malicious grin.

“My blood?” she asked in surprise.

“Yes, just a little. Give me one drop and you pass through these doors. Give me two, and I shall let you back through, if you make it back, that is,” it said.

“How do I know I can trust you to keep your word?” Mara inquired.

“A deal is a deal, even down here,” it responded in a flash.

Mara thought it over. There was a chance the gatekeeper was lying but that might be a chance she would have to take. Her curiosity was winning this battle and she knew something must be hidden behind the door. Belial wouldn’t keep it so discreet if there weren’t. Whether it was an escape route or the way to some hidden treasure as the gatekeeper said, Mara had to find out. Having run out of ideas, she would try anything now.

“Fine,” she answered as she looked around for something to prick her finger with.

Being in the kitchen it wasn’t too hard, and she came across a knife. Slicing the tip of her finger with the metal blade, she watched the blood pour from the precise opening in her flesh as she walked toward the door and the waiting lamia.

“Take what you wish,” Mara said as she lifted her red-tipped finger to its mouth. It sucked greedily for a moment or two and then with a newfound contentment, granted her passage.

Nodding her head in thanks, Mara stepped through the foreboding passageway and found herself in a small space, hardly big enough to fit two individuals side by side. The gatekeeper had been right. The gloomy passage in front of her was definitely marked as catacombs and was so dark she could barely see five feet in front of her. Immediately several torches lit up the walls, illuminating the way enough for her to see that the tunnels hosted many turns as they disappeared from sight not far ahead. The tunnels were surrounded in cold stone and the sides were host to some sort of secreted residue, the slimy substance felt like jelly upon her hands when she touched it. Deciding it was safer to keep her hands at her sides, she walked along the darkened corridors losing track of time and following the descending passages to the unknown destination below.

It wasn’t long before she came upon a sort of clearing, an intersection branching out to each side. Looking both ways, she couldn’t tell which way led where so she picked one at random and walked to the left. Her nerves were beginning to tighten as the spookily quiet surroundings lent fuel to her imagination and looking behind her, she was distressed to find the torches go out as soon as she walked past and leave her trail unmarked and black as before.

Forcing herself to only look ahead, she moved silently through the maze until she came upon another clearing. But this one, unlike the previous, did not have an intersection. It merely was decorated with a door in its center and two angelic statues framing it. By now, Mara was smart enough to know that it would be locked and she waited patiently for the gatekeeper to appear to give her the instructions. And sure enough, within minutes of her entry, another morphing face appeared within the doors center to ask if she wished to enter. She nodded her answer.

“Then something you must sacrifice to me,” it said.

“I’ve already given my blood, what’s next on the list, my soul?” Mara asked sarcastically.r />
“No, that belongs to another. No, your virtue should do,” the gatekeeper answered.

“My virtue? But that has been long since dead in me,” she lied.

“Ha! Be it the poor spirit who cannot see into its own soul,” the gatekeeper announced. “Your sexual morality is still intact within your mind. It will do you no good here. It will not be missed.”

“Are there other doors?” Mara asked.

“No, this here is the last. The final threshold through which you will step to reach your destination,” it answered.

“What lies beyond?” Mara asked, not yet willing to sacrifice her virtue unless she was sure her prize was the one she’d been looking for.

“What you have been searching for,” it replied.

“What have I been searching for?” Mara asked suspiciously.

“The controller of the cosmos,” the gatekeeper revealed after studying her gaze and body language for a moment.

“Why would it be located here?”

“Because one does not usually expect it here. If the wielding power of creation was kept in a high tower in a glass case, would not everyone try to obtain it? Its existence here is secret for a reason. Not many try to walk these tunnels therefore not many seek it out.”

“But it was relatively simple. I did it with a mere prick of a finger. Do the inhabitants here fear that so much?” Mara asked, curious.

“They do not fear the pain. They fear the power. The power to remove from their already tormented souls the one thing they cling to in this upside down world to keep them from losing control of their actions and desires.”
