  “What’s this?”

“I think it’s time you and Tennyson took a little road trip.” Fitzgibbon reached back into his desk and pulled out a book. He handed it across the desk to Ronan.

“Cape Cod for the Winter Traveler.” Ronan raised an eyebrow over the cover of the book. He hated the cold. And the snow. And the ice. And winter.

“The keys are to my cabin out in Yarmouth. Take Tennyson and the book and go. The cabin is on the beach. Walk it. Pick up shells. Look for sea glass. Talk. Don’t talk. Have sex. Let the ocean wash your worries out to sea. Eat lobster. Reconnect. Heal.”

Ronan looked up at his captain who was obviously throwing him a much-needed lifeline. “Okay.” He nodded, already looking forward to the smell of the ocean. His brow furrowed. “What if Ten won’t come with me?” They really hadn’t spoken much in the last week. What if he had clients to read or other plans or just didn’t want to see him? What if the gulf was too great to bridge?

Fitzgibbon laughed. “Call him. He’ll go with you. I guarantee it.”

Ronan smiled, setting the book and the keys on the captain’s desk while he dug his phone out of his back pocket. With a tendril of fear coiling in his stomach, he pressed the button for Tennyson’s number. “Hey, Ten. How would you feel about spending a week down the Cape with me?” Ronan held his breath.

“You know what, Ronan?” Ten said softly. “I think I’d like that.”

Ronan knew a week at the beach wasn’t going to be a cure-all, but it was a good start in the right direction. They would be together again and that was that mattered.

Detective Ronan O’Mara and Psychic Tennyson Grimm will be back on the case in book two of the Cold Case Psychic series! Dead Reckoning will be available on February 13!

When the spirit of a young male prostitute comes to psychic Tennyson Grimm asking him to find the john who murdered him, Tennyson can’t say no. Only able to communicate through the use of images, rather than words, getting any information out of the young man is frustrating and slow going.

Cold Case Detective Ronan O’Mara has been on a roll, solving cases since he and Tennyson last teamed up to solve the Michael Frye case together. Unfortunately, the red-hot romance that had blossomed between them during the investigation is now off in a ditch, thanks to Ronan’s self-confessed pigheadedness.

Agreeing to work together, despite the rift in their relationship to solve the young ghost’s murder, Tennyson and Ronan discover they are in for more than they bargained for when more victims start to reveal themselves to Tennyson.

Realizing they might have a serial killer on their hands targeting teenaged street kids, Ronan alerts the media, but when the move puts the son of a prominent member of the Boston Police Department in more danger than even he can get himself out of, can Ronan, Tennyson and the spirits of the killer’s victims save him in time?
