  This part of the list is aimed at food bloggers, of course, but you don’t have to have a dedicated food blog in order to do the occasional food or drink-related post. Everyone is interested in food! You may even be able to tie recipes into the theme of your blog.

  Share a recipe that a parent or grandparent made a lot when you were growing up.

  Invent a cocktail inspired by your favorite sports team and share the recipe.

  Invent a cocktail (or two or three) using an unusual ingredient and share the recipe.

  Share recipes for mocktails—festive non-alcoholic drinks.

  Review a new local restaurant.

  Write about your favorite restaurant and what makes it so great.

  Share an idea for a holiday food gift that’s actually pretty healthy.

  Write about a few cookbooks, kitchen gadgets, or whatever else you’d love to have in your kitchen.

  Review a new cookbook.

  Write about your favorite cookbook of all time and why you go back to it again and again.

  Share a recipe in honor of an obscure holiday. For example, January the 5th is Whipped Cream Day, and February the 13th is National Tortellini Day…there are food “holidays” like this for almost every day of the year. This could be the theme of a whole blog!

  Give directions and recipes for a super easy, virtually foolproof dinner party.

  Share a recipe that’s designed for someone with a particular allergy.

  Share a recipe that’s designed for someone with a particular disease or illness.

  Post your best dirt-cheap recipe.

  Design a great sandwich and give it a name.

  Share three attempts at making the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich and declare a winner.

  Show people how to have a fondue party.

  Review a few different local craft beers or barbecue sauces…or types of chocolate.

  Obviously, I love to make lists, and I have lots of them on my blog. Blog posts with numbers in the title (“20 Ways to…” “10 Reasons Why…”) have a natural appeal to people browsing on social media.

  Post a list of ten weird facts about yourself. (This one’s a classic. It’s great for a new blog or one that’s been around for a while!)

  Share a bunch of your favorite inspiring quotes…

  Or a bunch of your favorite funny quotes. (Give credit where credit is due!)

  Put together a gift guide for dads, or men in general—they can be hard to buy for! (This is a good opportunity to use affiliate links.)

  Or put together a list of great gifts for teachers…

  Or a list of gifts under $10…

  Or a big list of Christmas stocking stuffers.

  Share a list of what you believe are the top ten songs of all time.

  Share a list of the songs you’re listening to now.

  Post a list of all the TV shows you’ve ever binge-watched on Netflix.

  Post a list of ten little things that annoy you more than they should. (People will love to chime in and share their own pet peeves.)

  Share a list of twenty little things that never fail to lift your spirits.
