My Billionaire Boss Page 16

Cassy shook her head. “Nothing at all, but you are overdressed as usual.”

He chuckled in her ear. It was as damning to her senses as it was unexpected. “Why don’t you help me then?”

She lifted up her bottom and bent down to release his hardness. It was velvety in her hands as she stroked it. The sounds behind her spurred her on and Cassidy enjoyed herself as long as she could, knowing that he would take over soon. William was already pushing his agenda, jerking her skirt up so that he could see that she really was wearing nothing at all under the dress. Cassie settled back onto his hard chest, her legs open wide as was his. She stroked him slowly, rubbing the shaft against her wetness.

William grabbed himself out of her hand and started to smack her with it. Each moment she got wetter and soon, Cassidy was begging him to take her.

  “See, no patience.”

Moving lower, he added pressure, sliding in slowly. They both groaned out and her head fell back on his shoulders. It was always more than she could take and she couldn’t stop herself from crying out as she tried desperately to accommodate his wide girth. His was of average length, but the width made her squeeze him tight as he pulled her down onto him harder.

  “Sit up.”

She did as he asked, everything sounded like an order when he got all worked up. As he pushed deeper, her insides screamed as loud as she did. He had thrust up with her movement, taking her breath away. He liked to hear her sounds, almost as much as her tight sheath wrapped around him. His hand moved upwards to her swollen nub, rubbing as quickly as he thrusting. She liked it hard and fast and William could be relentless.

  “Say my name Cassy.”

She did, over and over again. There was nothing else she could do when he got like that. He would push deeper and harder until she exploded over and over again. His name became like a chant on her lips. She could never get enough of him and only when he had filled her full did she stop moaning.

Cassidy got up slowly, her knees a little shaky. The plane was landing and she pulled her dress down. His dark eyes watched her trembling hands pushing her dress down. She was beautiful, more than she would ever know.

  “Tell me, Cassy.”

She had taken a seat on the other side of the plane, trying to catch her breath. “What is it you want me to say?”

He gave her a look and she knew. It was funny for him to want to hear something that he wouldn’t say to her.

“You never say you love me.”

“It is not said in my culture like it is in yours.”

“Then how do you know when someone loves you?”

He smiled at her, one that melted her heart. “You just know. Can’t you tell that I love you, Cassidy?”

Her eyes finally met his and she felt a wave of pleasure go through her. It was the perfect end and it meant more now that he was finally saying it. She knew that he meant it.

  “So tell me.”

Cassy walked towards him and climbed on his lap. He was still out and she knew that he would be hard in moments if she wanted him again. He was always ready.

  “I love you, William.”

  “Good. Now for your surprise.”

She shook her head. Cassy had other things on her mind. Grabbing him, she positioned him where she needed him most, sliding back down onto his stiffened rod. “This is all of the surprise I need.”

Leaning down to kiss him, as she rode him slowly, she begged him to say he loved her one last time. And he obliged, telling her softly in her ear that he loved her. It was quite a time later before they left the plane, long after they had landed.

  Chapter 7

“You were going to tell me what the surprise was.”

“I was, but you sidetracked me if I remember.”

She felt her face heating up and she looked away. Cassidy was still amazed that she could be screaming out his name one minute, yet feel ridiculously shy in front of him the next.

  “So now you will wait.”

Cassy felt slightly chastised and she decided she wasn’t going to ask him again. It was hard not to, she liked to know what was going on, but she kept her mouth shut as they got in the car waiting for him.

They pulled up in front of an art gallery and she smiled back at him. Cassy loved art. She painted some in her spare time. “What are we doing here?”

Cassy sighed to herself. She couldn’t stop herself from asking, even though she had tried to hold her tongue. William just smiled and shook his head. He wasn’t going to tell her. William secretly liked how excited she got about everything. He didn’t remember a time that he was so excited for anything, until her.

The small building had only a small sign in the front, but Cassidy recognized it from one of the magazines. It looked closed, but he walked right in like he did everywhere. The place was, of course, closed, he had just paid for the staff to come in and let them go together.

  “Do you like your surprise?”

“Yes. How did you know that I wanted to go here?”

“Because you looked at the magazine several times, always that article.”

  “You notice everything.”

They were stopped and he just shook his head. “And you notice nothing.”

She leaned up to kiss him, pulling him towards her for a deeper kiss. When he could feel the stirrings, he pushed her back. Cassidy slowly opened her eyes and saw the painting that they were stopped in front of. It took her several moments for her mind to register what she was looking at. It was made by the same artist whose art was all over the walls, but that particular painting was rather different than the other ones. It was in a different style with small pricks of color that came together to spell out a question.

Cassy looked over at William and he was showing one of his ghost smiles. “Are you serious?”

His smile faltered. “Of course. You will have my son soon. We have to get married.”

She was staring at the painting, asking her to marry him. The man was holding a ring in his hands, but William had wanted to hear yes, but she was shaking her head.

“This is not how I pictured this going.”

“Sorry, I mean. What are you talking about your son?”

“I wasn’t sure if you knew, but you are pregnant.”

Cassidy wasn’t sure why he was so calm. Why was he acting like it was no big deal?

  “No, I am not pregnant.”

He moved towards her. She had slowly moved away. “You are. Your breasts are bigger, as well as your stomach rounding slightly.”

It must have been very slightly because she didn’t notice a difference.

  “How would you know that?”

“Because I am constantly looking and touching your body. I notice things, remember?”

She was feeling a little unsettled that he would know so much about her, not to mention the fact that she was pregnant. It made sense. Cassidy hadn’t been feeling herself lately and she was feeling moodier than usual.

He was still waiting for an answer, but it just all felt like too much. It was overwhelming, he had always been that way, but it was just too much that time.

  “Cassidy?”

“I uh, I don’t know. This is happening too fast, don’t you think?”

He didn’t feel that way at all. William felt like he wanted to marry her as soon as possible, let their life start together.

  “What do you mean?”

“I can’t do this right now William. I got to be home in a couple of hours and this is too much. I couldn’t do something like that without thinking about it. You know how I feel about marriage.”

William shook his head, not wanting to believe that he couldn’t salvage the conversation and get them back on track. “You love me, I love you. What is there to think about?”

“Everything. We come from two different worlds.”

He didn’t know what to say and by the look on her face, neither did she. William thought that she loved him, she sure did say it a lot.

  “I
don’t understand.”

She didn’t either and what bothered her most was that he was upset about it. It was the first time that he looked upset, almost devastated, but she was too shocked to process any of it. What she wanted to do more than anything was go home and find out if he was actually right about her being pregnant. As a single mom, she was largely overwhelmed most of the time. Cassidy couldn’t imagine having another child in her life to take care of. And even if they did get married, the burning question in her mind was how long was it going to last?

“I’m sorry William. This is just happening really fast.”

“You were on my lap less than an hour ago.”

She looked down at the reminder, not needing the subsequent flash of earlier in her mind. “I know. I just… I am sorry.”

  Chapter 8

He took her home, but it was well over an hour by the time they got back. She was stuck on the plane with him, just feet from where she had begged him for more only a couple of hours before. He had shut down, barely looking at her and Cassy felt rotten. By the end of the night, she kissed his cheek and he was almost looking through her. It was like the back rub all over again, though this time she knew how she had upset him so. William had every right to be mad at her.

She didn’t see him on Sunday and it was the first day in well over two months that they didn’t at least speak on the phone. Shaun had gotten so used to him being there that he asked about him. Cassidy had to stop herself from getting misty-eyed. She felt like she had lost him because she didn’t take the leap when he had asked.

William was also right about her being pregnant. She didn’t know if she was going to have a boy, but she was definitely pregnant. The information didn’t make any of it any easier. Cassidy loved William, but she also had loved Mario and that had turned into such a disaster. She never wanted to think about her and William ever getting to the point that her last marriage did.

Going back to work Monday, she almost called in. If she didn’t need the job even more now that she was about to have another baby, she would have quit. Since her husband had left her in such a mess, it didn’t even occur to her that she would be better off with William as the father.

Her mind was in tatters and as she was pulling in, she got a call from her friend. Mario was at her friend’s house, demanding to see his son. Even though it was not his time, Kathleen was worried about the state he was in. Apparently he had been drinking and even though it was early in the morning and Shaun had school, his father was insisting on seeing him.

He had been calling her for well over a week. It was usually late at night and it had nothing to do with Shaun. Mario was regretting the breakup and wanted her back. After everything that he had done to her, she didn’t want to talk to him about anything. There was no ‘us’ as far as she was concerned, but it was clear that he didn’t feel the same way.

“Cassidy, I know you have to work, but he can’t be here.”

  “Don’t let him in.”

“Girl, I am not crazy, but they are going to call the cops if he keeps it up. He is hollering outside about not seeing his son and I know Shaun can hear it.”

Cassy sighed to herself, already turning around and going back towards the way she had come. It was just a reminder how she could never be with William. He lived such a no-nonsense life and hers was always filled with drama it seemed, no matter how hard she tried for it to be otherwise. Why would he want to marry her? She was sure it was just because of obligation or something like that. It was most likely not because he loved her.

She was not in a good mood by the time she got to her friend’s house. Cassy knew that she should have called William to at least tell him that she was going to be late, but after the way they left things and the reason she was going to be late, Cassy figured it would be best not to. When she got there, Mario was outside and it was clear to her that he had had an overnight bender.

Cassy got out of the car and he noticed first the new car she was driving.

“Where did you get that car?”

“I have a job, Mario. You took everything from me, but it doesn’t mean that I won’t get it all back.”

Mario had a look of anger on his face. She was not acting the way he suspected. She was supposed to miss him, beg to come back to their house. Cassidy was supposed to miss him like he missed her. He hadn’t thought he would. Mario had thought that he would move on with a secretary that he was cheating with. Fran had fallen through and now he was back to missing his family and more than anything missing his wife. Cassidy clearly was not missing him.

“What kind of job did you get? You could never seem to get anything worth much when we were together.”

She felt herself getting upset and looked towards the house. Kathleen was looking at her through the window and Cassidy waved to her that she was fine. It wasn’t the first time that she had had to deal with a drunken Mario, but she had been hoping that it would be the last time.

“I work as an assistant in the city. I had to find something to get us a place to stay. You made sure that me and your son had nowhere to go.”

Mario had a look cross his face. It almost looked like guilt, but Cassy was aware that he most likely would push it down and somehow make it her fault. It was always her fault and after years of it, she didn’t want to hear it anymore.

“I am sorry Cassy, really. We should be together. We were meant to be together,” he slurred.

He moved towards her and she took a step back. The last thing she wanted was for him to touch her. How long had she wished to hear those words from him? “Stop Mario. We are divorced. You haven’t seen your son in a couple of months. What do you want?”

Her tone made him look at her a little differently. There was a strength there that he hadn’t seen before. He had almost always gotten his way with her, but there was something different in her dark depths. Cassidy didn’t love him anymore and it was never so painfully clear as it was right then.

“I want to see my son.” It was all he had and even to his own ears it didn’t sound right.

“You have him every other weekend, though you haven’t since the divorce. Come back on Friday and make sure you are sober. Then you can see him. He is supposed to be going to school right now and I am supposed to be at work.”

  “I want you back.”

There it was and Cassidy took another step back. What was with the men in her life? Then it made her realize one thing very clearly. William would never do something like that to her. She couldn’t even imagine it. William was nothing like Mario.

“I have moved on Mario and you should do the same.”

He looked at her shocked and called her several mean names. Cassy didn’t say much. There was nothing to say, but as he got more upset, she debated if she should call the police. He wasn’t going to stop and now he was just getting more belligerent. The whole time she watched him flap his arms and yell, she wondered what she had seen in him to begin with. He really was just like a child throwing a temper tantrum.

“You need to go Mario or I will have to call the police. We both know with your record it is not going to be good news for you.”

“Are you threatening me?” He started to move towards her and stopped only when he saw a dark-tinted town car stopping in front of where they stood on the sidewalk. Mario didn’t know who it was, but Cassidy did. She swallowed hard and took another step back from him. How did he know where she was?

  “Do you need help, Cassy?”

“Mind your own business. This is my wife!”

William looked at the red-faced man to Cassy. He was clearly amused and his eyes met hers for a moment, just to make sure that she is okay before moving towards Mario. While both men were the same height and basic size, there was a simmering fury in William’s eyes that had Mario thinking twice about what he was going to do next.

“She is not your wife, but your ex. You have lost all claims to her and she is to marry me. Since she is carrying my child, she is my business a
nd you are making her upset.”

It was almost laughable to Cassy. She had never seen Mario look worried before, but he was. There was something in William’s eyes that stopped him in his tracks. The information that she was pregnant sunk in as well. She waited with her breath held for what would happen next. Mario never was very smart though and started to advance on William.

“I don’t know who you are pal.” Mario had shaken off his unsettling feeling and moved closer towards William. William stayed his ground, waiting for him to get to him.

“I think you need to leave. You are making a scene.”

Mario moved to touch his shoulder and before she knew what had happened, Mario was on his back, lying on the ground. William was standing back up, straightening his jacket, waiting for Mario to get back up. He looked confused and she worried for a minute that he had hit his head too hard. William’s driver then got out of the car, waiting for instructions.

“Why don’t you take him home, Cliff?” He gave him the address of the house he had taken in the divorce. Cassidy was left looking just as confused, but another part of her was so sure. She knew what she was supposed to do.

  “Are you okay?”

She nodded and moved to kiss him. It had taken Mario’s bad behavior to make her realize that William was never going to be like that. He had honor, something Mario had never had.

  “Does the offer still stand?”

“Of course Cassy. I love you and I can’t see myself with anyone else. I can’t see having my children with anyone else. I want you to be their mother.”

“What about all of this mess?” She made a motion with her hand, encompassing all that was mad in her life.

“We all have a past, but it is the future that I am worried about and I don’t want to picture it without you. I have waited a long time to feel this way and I am not going to let anything stand in our way.”

It was all she needed to hear. He never did say much, but when he did, it always made her feel better. Their love was a slow love and to Cassidy, it was better. It still had the excitement of new love, but the feelings were stronger and she knew that he would take care of her, something that she had never had before. William was different in all the right ways.
