Sweet Daddy: The Complete Collection

“I sure hope so.” Joshua had to grin at her. He was thrilled that she felt the same way he did about her.
“No, I’m serious. I think I’m really in love with you.”
“That’s okay, I really love you too.” He thrust into her even harder.
Eve was quickly brought to the brink. Joshua had the power to make her feel wonderful. She moved her hands to his shoulders and lifted her body up, so she could see him driving himself into her. Nothing had ever felt so perfect.
“Please, I want us to do this every day. Promise me that we will,” Eve begged him.
“Of course. I’d do anything for you.”
“I’d do anything for you too.”
Joshua thrust into her as hard as he could.
Eve closed her eyes and lay back down, letting him work magic over her. “Oh God. You’re so gifted in bed.”
Joshua had to laugh. “I’m so glad your happy with me.”
“Don’t stop. Don’t ever stop,” she begged.
“I’m sorry, Eve.” He apologized with a grin on his face. Then he pushed into her with power, making her eyes close, and her fingers clenched into the flesh on his shoulders.
He gave her thrust after thrust until they both came together. He collapsed on top of her, kissing her shoulder as she gasped for air.
Her heart was slowly calming down.
Joshua watched her. He was also contemplating the fate that had brought them together.
Eve yawned again, exhausted not only from their lovemaking but also from her too hectic lifestyle. “I’m sorry, but I really need to sleep now.”
Joshua moved, so he was beside her. He reached down to the bottom of the bed and grabbed hold of the blankets that they’d kicked away. He covered up Eve and closed his eyes.
“Good night, darling.”
“Good night, Josh.”
Usually, Joshua hated it when someone called him Josh, but when she said it, it sounded right.
Everything felt right with her.
Chapter 7
Eve opened her eyes. It was already light out. In fact, it was so light out that she immediately knew that she’d overslept.
She shot out of bed and raced into the bathroom. Her purse was in there.
She grabbed her cell and looked at the time. “Shit,” she whispered. She had to be at the theater in twenty-five minutes. She’d never make it on time.
The worst thing was that she didn’t have time to go home and change. Everyone would know that she’d gone home with a man and spent the night with him.
That didn’t matter. Josh was worth it. He’d been so charming and loving last night. She’d laugh along with the jokes, and then she’d see to it that something like that never happened again. Next time, she’d know that she was going to stay, and she’d bring along an overnight bag.
She tiptoed past him and found her clothes on the living room floor. She was dressed and out of the door before Joshua could wake up.
Eve pressed the button for the elevator, praying it would hurry. She could already picture her understudy saying that she’d gladly take Eve’s place this afternoon.
Eve got into the elevator and pushed the button for the lobby.
In the lobby, Mr. Johnson stood with the door wide open when he saw her. “Good morning, Miss Temple.”
“Good morning, Mr. Johnson.” Here was someone who was saving her time. She wished she had someone like him in her every day life.
“Shall I call you a cab, Miss Temple?”
“I’d be forever thankful if you would. I have an afternoon matinee today, I can’t be late.” She smiled at him kindly.
“I’d be glad to.”
He whistled and immediately a cab stopped.
“Wow, it takes me forever to get one to stop.”
“The uniform is the trick.” He opened the door for her and closed it once she was inside, thinking what a lovely young woman she was.
She was the kind of woman he’d like Mr. Anthony to have. She’d be good for him.
Joshua awoke with a splitting headache. He lay perfectly still in bed worried that he’d throw up if he moved an inch.
Half an hour later, he darted to the bathroom.
When he came out of the bathroom, he felt a lot better. He must have drunk too much with the guys last night.
Maybe one of their kids had brought home a bug from school, and now he was suffering from it. He spent the rest of the weekend cuddled up on the sofa under a blanker, vowing to never get drunk again.
One of his friends must have brought him home on Friday night. Thankfully, he had such good friends.
Still, it wasn’t a good feeling to not remember what happened.
On Sunday afternoon, Joshua called Kyle.
After they exchanged their hello and how is the wife, Joshua asked Kyle how he’d gotten home.
Kyle was surprised to hear that Joshua couldn’t remember the blond woman he’d left with. He hadn’t thought that the drops worked. His wife was in the room, and he was too ashamed to admit what they’d done, so he left out a lot when he answered Joshua’s questions. “I went home in a cab. I was worried about you, so I followed you.”
“Really? I need to cut back.”
“What you need is a wife.” Kyle looked at his wife. “Should I get Holly to fix you up with someone?”
Holly nodded and eagerly stepped forward. She reached for the phone and smiled. “I know a few ladies who are looking for a serious relationship. Each one is gorgeous.”
Joshua politely listened to Holly. In the end, he agreed to go out with one of the women she wanted to set him up with, but first in a few months. He explained that he was still getting his new office set up.
He’d think of another excuse when she asked him again.
Chapter 8
Joshua walked into his office and looked out of the window. He hadn’t been in this office very long, but he loved it. It was so convenient having it in the same building he lived in.
A few months ago, he’d told Mr. Johnson, the doorman slash owner of the building he lived in, that he was looking for an office, complaining that he wasn’t finding anything good or near by.
Mr. Johnson told him that he was remodeling the ground floor apartments into a private practice for Dr. Kennedy. Mrs. Kennedy was expecting a baby, and he was going to be staying home with the baby. She was a partner in the biggest law firm in the city.
Still, it was odd that a man would stay at home, or work part-time while his wife worked full-time. To each their own Joshua thought, turning his computer on as he sat down to start the day.
The good thing was Joshua got the other apartment on the ground floor for his office. The office had a separate entrance, and Joshua was definitely getting walk-in traffic because of the location here. Because of the medical office next door, he was selling lots of insurance and saving plans to young parents.
Joshua was a seller, he sold insurance, saving plans, and he dabbled in the stock market. He knew how to be charming and get what he wanted.
Joshua could convince people to buy things they didn’t want, but needed.
He’d worked hard to get a good reputation. He didn’t advertise. Instead, he used word of mouth.
His reputation as an honest man made people come to him when they needed something. Afterwards, they recommended him to their friends and family members. That had been how he’d met Mr. Johnson, the doorman in this building. A friend had recommended him to Mr. Johnson.
At first, they’d worked on a modest retirement plan. Then one day, Mr. Johnson came in wanting insurance for a whole building. Joshua had been able to get the story out of him.
Joshua was thrilled that a normal person like Mr. Johnson and his friends had won the lottery.
When Joshua, needed a better apartment in a safer part of town, Mr. Johnson gladly told him that he could move in.
Joshua was certain that he was the only tenant in the building who knew Mr. Johnson’s little secret.
Joshua felt lucky to be able to live in this fine building. He’d been able to charm his way into the building because of his good reputation.
That same charm that he used to make a living was put to work at night when he went out to pick up women. Joshua prided himself on being a ladies man.
He was certain that he’d settle down one day, but that had time, lots and lots of time. He still wanted to enjoy his life and enjoy as many women as possible.
Joshua sat down and went through his mail. He had several things that needed to be taken care of immediately. He grabbed his phone and went to work.
“Mr. Anthony, your ten o’clock appointment is here,” his secretary told him over the loud speaker.
He pressed the button to respond. “Thank you.”
Having an intercom had been something that he wanted a long time. He’d played bank director as a child, and his little sister had been his secretary. She brought him drinks while he colored in his super heroes coloring books, pretending that they were important contracts.
The door opened and a beautiful young woman walked in. She was wearing a creamy light blue skirt suit.
Joshua sat up straighter. This was definitely a woman that he’d like to take to bed. The skirt was a little long, but he could see shapely calves under it. The skirt hugged her curves tightly, displaying her thighs and tight bottom. Even the jacket fit her snugly. Her breasts were more than a handful. Her facial bones were perfect, almost too perfect.
The symmetry gave her the cold look of a model, who thought too much of herself, but her eyes were telling a different story. They looked scared.
Joshua stood slightly to greet the beautiful lady. He’d given her the same once over he gave every woman. Now it was back to business. He motioned that she should sit down. He sat down and waited for her to tell him why she was here.
She stood in front of his desk with her head hung. She looked like a naughty little girl. His mind drifted off, picturing her in a school uniform.
He was dreaming that she’d confess something that made him feel compelled to spank her for. Her dog could have eaten her homework or something like that.
The reason wouldn’t matter. Spankings turned him on. He’d make sure it turned her on too.
Joshua had a secret spanking fetish that he’d never been able to act upon, at least not yet. He hoped he could one day. A wife would be the perfect person to share that secret with.
When she still said nothing, he grew impatient. “Won’t you take a seat?”
“Yes, thank you. That’s a good idea.” She sat down and looked at him for a moment. Then she had to drop her gaze again.
She looked guilty of something, he thought.
She started fumbling with her hands. “I’m pregnant.” She looked him in the eyes when she said that.
The only thing going through his head was the word, and? There had to be more.
Did she want to have him set up something for the child? It was never too early to start saving for college.
“Congratulations,” he said in a peppy way, ready to type what she needed into his computer.
“You’re not mad?” She looked confused. Her head was tilted slightly to the side; like that position could help her better figure out what was going through her mind.
She knew that she should have called him. She had his business card and his cell number, but she’d waited for him to call her.
Eve had been right to worry about the understudy. She was fighting to maintain her spot in the show. She didn’t have time for a boyfriend at the moment. And she really didn’t have time for a baby either.
Still, she’d checked her cell over a hundred times a day to see if he’d called.
He never had.
At first, she denied the fact that she was pregnant. What were the chances that a person would get pregnant when she’d only had sex once in two years? (Okay, they’d done it twice.) Still, what were the chances?
“Why would I be mad? Do you work for me?” Joshua had several people working for him, contacting people and selling policies in his name. He’d been expanding lately. This office was his baby. He’d been working on it lately and not going out. That night he couldn’t remember had spooked him too.
“No. But you know that.” Eve was getting confused. She’d thought that he’d be happy to see her. Then she figured that he’d be upset about the baby.
“Obviously, I don’t.” Joshua was staring at her, trying to remember her, but he couldn’t. He was certain that he’d never met her before.
“I don’t understand,” Eve admitted.
“Why don’t you start by telling me why you made an appointment to see me?” He was leaning over the top of his desk to talk to her, his upper body resting on his folded hands. She was just giving him the feeling that she was a little girl. He didn’t want to talk down to a new client, but he felt this was what she needed.
This building was full of adult little girls, even the ambitious lawyer, Mrs. Kennedy, was one.
“I came here to tell you that I was pregnant.” She still looked confused and scared. This wasn’t the reaction that she’d expected. She’d practiced different scenarios in her head, as well as her reactions to them. This scenario she hadn’t practiced. She assumed that he’d understand the concept of a pregnancy immediately.
“That’s very nice of you, but why would you tell me that in particular.”
Eve’s jaw dropped, and her body started to shake. She tried to speak, but her lower lip was puffed out. Of course, someone like him wouldn’t care about some woman he met at a club.
He knew her name and he had her number. She’d programmed it into his cell herself. If he’d wanted to find her, he could have. He was clearly telling her that this was just her problem.
“I’ll just leave then.” Her hands moved to the arms of her chair. She needed all the support that she could get to stand up. He said that he loved her, and now he couldn’t even remember her. She’d been so naive.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea. You don’t look well. Should I have my secretary call someone to help you? Perhaps the father?”
Eve couldn’t hold her hurt inside any longer. “But you’re the father?”
Nothing that he was saying was making sense to her.
“Me?” He pointed to himself in disbelief. “I’m sorry, have we met before?”
This was all too much for her. She dropped back down in the chair. “You don’t remember me,” she stated. Of course, he wouldn’t. She was just one of many. He probably slept with a different woman every night.
But he’d been so passionate. He’d promised to love her forever. A little sigh escaped her.
Joshua walked around his desk and picked up her hand. He was even patting it. “Excuse me for asking this, Miss, but are you well? Do you have to take medicine every day for any reason?”
“You don’t remember me,” she stated again, like hearing herself say it could help the words register in her mind.
Joshua stared at her. Nothing triggered in his mind. He’d have remembered someone like her.
“I understand, perfectly.” She yanked her hand away from his and sat up very straight.
In her mind, she saw everything that needed to be done. Number one was to get out of this office. “I’ll leave you alone for now. I don’t want an abortion. I already see the baby as a real person. I’ll have a paternity test done when the baby is born. I won’t bother you until then.”
She sprang to her feet, eager to have a moment alone, so she could cry in peace. She ran out the door, totally ashamed of herself.
His secretary looked up at her and smiled as she left.
Eve couldn’t smile back. She went to a door and opened it. It wasn’t the door she’d come in before, but she recognized the lobby of the building he lived in.
She was too embarrassed to turn back, so she headed to the exit.
“Hello, Miss Temple. Were you visiting Mr. Anthony again?”
“Ye
s, but I won’t be bothering him anymore.” Her lower lip quivered as she spoke.
She went out of the door he was holding open for her, thinking that the doorman could remember her, but Joshua couldn’t.
She blended in with the people on the sidewalk and went home to her apartment.
Once there, she dropped down on her bed, thinking what happened had been worse than her worse case scenario. He didn’t remember her. That meant that he certainly wouldn’t love her.
She’d ruined her life for a jerk who was a gifted liar.
Why hadn’t she recognized his words for what they were, lines?
Admittedly, they were well delivered lines, but she of all people should have recognized an actor when she saw one.
Joshua was still in shock. How could he be the father to a woman’s baby when he didn’t recognize her from Eva? This had to be a mistake. “At least, tell me your name,” he called out after her, but she was gone.
He went to his secretary, thinking that had all been just too weird. “Mrs. Winter, please tell me the name of the young lady that just visited me.”
“She didn’t give me a name. She insisted that your meeting was of a very private nature.”
“That was the oddest meeting I’ve ever had in all of my life.”
He went back to his desk and thought about everything, wracking his brain in the hope to loosen a memory. But the plain truth of the matter was that he’d never met her before. She was probably just some poor soul in need of help.
He’d have her investigated. He needed to know if she could be dangerous.
Joshua couldn’t get any work done. He got up and went out of his office, telling his secretary that he’d be right back.
He went to Mr. Johnson’s side, asking in a whisper if they had cameras anywhere in the building.
“Yes, we have a few inside and outside on the building. Why?” Mr. Johnson asked.
“A woman just came to see me. She was weird. I think she may need help.”
Mr. Johnson got out his cell and called up to the penthouse. “Mr. Anthony needs to see the footage from outside of his office from about –” He let his voice train off, so Mr. Anthony could answer him.
