Living for Love and Dying for Loyalty 2 Page 2

Pulling into the parking lot, I was glad it was business as usual. I hate to see people bullshitting and politicking on my time. Time is money and mine won’t be wasted. I walked up the stairs and bumped into a familiar face that I haven’t seen in quite some time. It was none other than Karima.

I haven’t seen her in a minute. I had to keep my eyes on her face because she had a body out of this fucking world. She was plus-sized, but in all the right places. She has a beautiful dark skin tone that makes her look like she lives in the Mother Land. Karima is a cool ass chick to be around. She is everything a street nigga needed to survive in the streets, but she wasn’t wifey material.

  “What’s up Karima?”

“Hey Rah. How you doing?” Karima looked at me like she saw a ghost.

  “I’m good. How are you?

“I could be better. I guess congratulations are in order. I heard you and Aja got married.”

The look in her eyes told me she wasn’t happy about us getting married. Before I had a chance to respond, her little sister Kema came out of her apartment and handed her a small baby.

“Girl, get her. She is heavy as hell,” her sister said as she handed the baby to Karima.

“Wow, you had a baby. I never knew. What’s her name?”

“Her name is Brooklyn and she is seven months old.” Karima was trying to keep the baby’s head covered with receiving blanket that was wrapped around her.

The little girl began to stir around. She lifted her head up and had a head full of curly hair. Just like my son. The way Karima looked at me let me know she was mine. The resemblance was undeniable. We both were silent for a minute. Karima began to shift and tried to walk past me. I had to ask her the million-dollar question.

  “Is she my daughter?”

“Yeah, she’s yours. Does it matter Rahmeek? You have a family at home and she does not fit into the equation.”

I had the urge to smack fire from her ass, but the baby was in her arms. “Fuck all that bullshit you talking about right now! You should have told me she was mine!”

“Yeah, whatever Rahmeek. I have to go. She has a doctor’s appointment.”

I gave her my number and told her to call me. This bitch and I have a lot of talking to do. I had no idea about her even being pregnant. The last time I saw her was the night Aja and me got back together. I broke it off with her and haven’t seen her until today.

My mind is so fucked up right now. What the fuck am I going to tell Aja? I’m not keeping it from her. That’s my wife, my better half. Plus, this shit happened while we were broke up. Technically, I didn’t cheat and get another bitch pregnant.

Before heading out of the Courts, I grabbed the money from one of my workers. Ju-Ju was a young getting money ass nigga. He lived for the hustle. He came to me one day asking for a job so that he could take care of his kids. I would never refuse a father trying to take care of his seeds.

After my run in with Karima, I headed straight to the crib. I had to get high as hell. I couldn’t tell my wife this shit sober. Actually, I’ll wait until after her birthday to tell her. I don’t want to ruin her birthday.

When I made it back to the crib, Aja had just finished cooking dinner. She loves to take care of our son and me. She caters to my every fucking need. I stood in the doorway of our kitchen watching her set the table. She hates wearing clothes around the house. She was currently rocking one of my tank tops and black lace panties. Her sexy is on high at all times. I have never seen a woman who wakes up beautiful. I walked up behind her and kissed her softly on the back of her neck. Aja turned around and wrapped her arms around my neck. She slipped her tongue in my mouth and started to suck on my bottom lip.

“Hey Rah. I missed you so much, baby. I fixed your favorite, chicken and shrimp Alfredo. Sit down so you can eat.”

Aja fixed my plate and made sure I had everything I needed before she made her own food. Now that’s a real woman for you.

“Where is my son?” I said as I placed some food into my mouth.

“He’s spending the night with my momma and Mike.”

“That’s what’s up. Now I can get some pussy with no interruptions. Lil Rah is the true definition of a cock blocker.”

We both laughed and finished our dinner. Aja went to take a shower so I fired up a blunt and watched the Bulls game inside of my man cave. After a little while, Aja called me upstairs. I entered our bedroom and Aja was lying across the bed in a red lace bustier with matching thongs. I knew I was in for a long night. Aja had her hot pink stripper pole set up. Aja crawled to the edge of the bed and started to undress me.

“Damn, baby, what did I do to deserve all this?”

Aja placed kisses all over my chest. “I know that you had a long day. I just wanted to show you how much I appreciate you.”

“Well, at least let me freshen up first.”

“You’re cool, baby. I love it when you come home smelling like money. You already know money makes me cum. So get them bands out and make it rain on me.”

Aja handed me a glass filled with Remy and a rolled up Kush blunt. She grabbed my hand and led me to the mini stage. All the lights went out and the pole lit up. August Alsina’s Bands A Make Her Dance played in the background. Aja worked that pole like a stripper from Magic City.

As she danced, I showered her with hundreds. Once the song was over, I lifted her ass up and carried her to the bed. Aja lay back on the bed and I began to feast on her sweet nectar. I love to eat her pussy. She would run her fingers through my dreads and pull on them. That shit only made me work my tongue harder. I flicked my tongue back and forth over her pearl tongue.

“Please don’t stop, Rahmeek. I’m about to cum.”

I flipped Aja over on all fours and slid my dick inside her with ease. Her juices were running down her legs as I slowly went in and out of her pussy. I sped up the pace and started fucking her harder.

“You better not ever give my pussy away, Aja!” The sound of my hand smacking her ass cheeks echoed throughout the room.

“It’s all yours baby. I swear.”

“Oh shit,” I grunted as I came.

I released all my seeds inside of her. We just had the most mind blowing sex, but all I can think about was Karima and my daughter. I’m lying here watching my wife as she sleeps. It’s killing me because I know it will hurt her when she finds this out. Hopefully, everything that we have built will help us overcome this bump in the road.

Karima has called me several times. Since Aja is sleeping, I’ll go and see what the fuck is really going on. Her ass better have a good fucking excuse as to why she never told me about my daughter.

  Chapter 4 - Karima

I am so upset right now. I never wanted Rahmeek to know about Brooklyn. We’ve been doing just fine without him. My heart has just healed from the way he treated me. The last time I saw him was when we went to dinner at Hassan’s house. That was over a year ago. Prior to that, Rahmeek had been spending all of his time with me. I actually thought we were a couple. That night, when Aja busted his windows, he took me home and I never saw him again.

Rahmeek stopped answering his phone and responding to my texts. I found out I was pregnant with my daughter about a month later. It hurt for him to mistreat me like that. Once I started getting big, I stopped coming to The Courts. I didn’t want to risk him or Hassan seeing me. I never tried to contact him and let him know because I was afraid of his reaction. The final straw was finding out he married Aja. We have mutual friends on Facebook so I was able to see some of their pictures. Looking at their wedding picture made me cringe.

I knew that I needed to move on. I know that he loves her. Rahmeek will never love me and I have accepted that. A lot of women in my position would do everything to break up a happy home. I’m not cut from that type of cloth. I wish them nothing but the best.

I have been struggling, barely able to pay rent in my low-income apartment. There have been times when Brooklyn went without formula. However, I have been
making ends meet. I sometimes do drug runs with different hustlers from the hood. Fuck Rahmeek and his money. I don’t want any parts of it. My heart has healed and I want it to stay that way.

I don’t have anything against Aja. On the other hand, she hates me. I know this is not going to sit well with her. I just want to raise my daughter and live my life drama free and minus a broken heart. It’s better for me this way.

Rahmeek has always played games with my heart. I have always been the woman he runs to when his main bitch is acting up. I don’t call myself a side chick. I’m more of a rebound chick and that’s worse. Despite knowing this, I have always been there for Rahmeek, whether it was to talk or for him to get a quick nut.

I was there for Rahmeek When he got locked up. He wanted for nothing. I remember smuggling in heroin in my pussy. I can’t believe I risked my freedom for a nigga who didn’t even want me. Rahmeek never told me we would be in a relationship when he came home. I just hoped and prayed that being by his side would work out in my favor. Boy, was I wrong.

The first time I saw Aja at his party, I knew he liked her. He showed her so much attention. As usual, I was on the outside looking in. There were times when I wondered if it was my looks. I’m not an ugly woman. I’m real dark. I keep my hair done. I’m plump in all of the right places. I love to rock nice shit.

Despite the way he treated me, the fact remains the same; he is Brooklyn’s father. I have kept her from him long enough. For hours, I sat in my living room debating on whether or not I’m going to call him. Finally, I called him and he agreed to come over.

I was nervous as hell when I heard him knock at the door. As soon as I opened the door, my pussy was dripping like a faucet. Rahmeek is sexy as fuck. His long dreads were hanging past his shoulders. His Jean Paul Gaultier cologne invaded my nostrils. He was rocking a Coke Boys sweater and a pair of Robin jeans with the black rhinestones on the pockets.

For a minute, I forgot the reason he was here. My pussy was purring like a kitten, but I had to maintain myself. I stepped to the side and allowed him to come inside. As soon as he stepped in, he turned his nose up. I wasn’t surprised though. My apartment was a big downgrade to his home. I didn’t have any furniture in my living room so we sat on milk crates in the kitchen. There was a long silence between us. I decided to speak first.

“I know you’re upset that I didn’t tell you about her. I just didn’t know how to tell you.”

“Cut the bullshit, Karima! You’re wrong for this shit! Do you have any idea what this is going to do to my marriage?”

“It’s not my fault you stopped answering my calls or texts. I tried to get in contact with you.”

“I don’t even want to talk to you right now, Karima. Just go get my daughter!”

I walked to the back of the house, got Brooklyn, and handed her to Rahmeek. She was still sleeping. He just stared at her and played with her hair for about ten minutes. I stared at both of them because they were the spitting image of one another.

“Rah, I’m so sorry that I kept her from you.”

“Shut the fuck up! No you’re not,” Rahmeek yelled causing me to jump.

I sat there in silence. He was pissed. When he gets like that, it’s best to just leave it alone. Rahmeek got up and handed me our daughter.

“Look, I have to tell my wife about her. In the meantime, pack your shit. I don’t want my daughter living in this piece of shit a moment longer.”

Rahmeek walked out the door. He didn’t even give me a chance to say anything. I sat there speechless. I really regretted calling him. On the other hand, I was elated that he would be in Brooklyn’s life. Hopefully, Aja welcomes her into their life. Like I said before, I have no desire to ruin their relationship. Brooklyn and Lil Rahmeek deserve to grow up knowing one another.

  Chapter 5 - Aja

I love being a wife and a mother. Although I am young, I have come into my role quite well. My life has been nothing short of a fairy tale. My husband has given me a life most women dream of. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to see if I’m dreaming. From time to time, I feel like he is too good to be true. Our love overcame all obstacles standing in our way. I make it my business to play my role and play it well because hoes are always auditioning for my position. Luckily for me, my position is permanently filled. I’m not going anywhere unless I choose to leave. Rahmeek is stuck with my ass for life.

The birth of our son has brought so much joy into our lives. Lil Rahmeek is getting so big. Ever since he started walking, I can barely keep up with him. We are spoiling that boy rotten. I like staying at home and taking care of my family.

However, I’m bored out of my mind. I’ll be twenty-two in a month and all I have is a high school diploma. I need to further my education if I want to be something in life. I need to do something for myself. Sometimes I feel like Rahmeek acts like a father and not my husband.

Prior to meeting Rahmeek, I wanted to go to college. I wanted to major in Criminal Justice. Every time I bring up the subject, Rahmeek refuses to hear it. He says a woman should be at home taking care of her family. Plus, he doesn’t like Lil Rahmeek to be with anyone other than family members so day care is out of the question.

Rahmeek is so over protective that it drives me crazy. I love my house but it feels like the walls are starting to close in on me. I hate that everybody lives so far apart. We don’t get to see each other much. I can’t wait until my party so that I can see the crew. I wanted to help with the planning, but Rahmeek refused. He wanted to do everything by himself.

I needed to go to the grocery store to grab a couple of items. I was surprised when Rahmeek insisted that he tag along, especially since all he does is complain about how long it takes. As we shopped, I noticed Karima. She had a car seat with a small child in the cart. I hate this bitch’s guts to the point where I can’t even stand to look at her.

For some reason Rahmeek’s demeanor changed. He became nervous and was trying not to look at her. I could tell that she was uncomfortable as well. Seeing her made me jealous because I know their history. I kept trying to avoid her by going down different aisles but we kept bumping each other. The last time she crossed my path, I got a good look at her daughter. I looked at the baby and then looked at my husband. Could it be his? I pushed the thought from my mind. My husband has one child - our child.

Finally, I was ready to check out. I noticed Rahmeek looking at his phone. My instincts told me to look around and see if I saw Karima. Sure enough, that bitch was texting on her phone. One thing for sure and two for certain, something is going on between them. I can feel it. My woman’s intuition has never failed me. I trust my husband but he’s acting real suspect right now.

The ride back home was awkward and silent. Usually Rahmeek won’t shut the fuck up about my bad driving. Once we made it home, I put all the groceries away. Rahmeek, on the other hand, was taking a shower and getting ready to leave.

His cell phone was on the kitchen table. It was constantly vibrating. I picked it up to see the incoming messages. I wasn’t being sneaky because we both have access to each other’s phones. As I was reading the texts, I was wishing I never opened it up. What shocked me was the fact that the contact was stored under the letters BM, translation Baby Momma.

BM: I take it you haven’t told Aja about Brooklyn yet.

No. I haven’t. I’m going to tell her when the time is right.

BM: Well, when are you coming to see her?

In a little while. I ordered you a moving truck. So make sure your all packed and ready to move in the morning.

BM: Okay Thanks again, Rahmeek. I really appreciate it.

There were more texts between them, but I was done reading them. I wanted to cry, scream, and bust his shit but I had to hold my composure. I want to see how long Rahmeek is going to keep this secret from me. He left the house immediately after he got dressed. I wanted to follow him, but I decided against it. I would be waiting on his ass when he came back.

  It was about t
en o’clock at night when he returned. I had dozed off on the couch. Rahmeek sat across from me with a look of worry on his face.

“Aja, wake up. We need to talk.”

I braced myself to hear those words come from his mouth. I already knew what he was about to say. I just needed to hear it from him. Looking at him, I realized how much I love this man. I also know that this shit is about to change our relationship.

“I really don’t know how to tell you this, but Karima’s daughter is mine. I never knew. I just found out myself. I did not cheat on you. She got pregnant around the time we broke up.”

“Rahmeek, Do you think that makes it okay? I’m not accepting any other kids.”

I got up off the couch and went up to our bedroom. He was right on my heels.

“That’s my daughter, Aja, and I’m not gone turn my back on her, whether your ass like it or not!”

“You sound stupid as hell right now! Go get a DNA test before you start claiming kids!”

“I don’t need a damn DNA test! She looks just like our son!”

I turned around to face Rahmeek. I wanted his ass to know how fucking serious I was.

“She doesn’t look shit like my son! Like, I said I’m not accepting any kids. So if you’re accepting her, you can get the fuck on somewhere!” I pushed Rahmeek out of my way as I walked past him.

“First of all, watch your mouth before I pop you in it! You’re being real disrespectful right now! I will never choose anyone over my seeds, not even my wife! So, if that’s what you’re thinking you can get that shit out of your head!”

“Since you made your decision, Rahmeek, it’s best that you find other living arrangements.” I attempted to walk away but he stepped in my way.

“Aja, that shit is not fair! You know damn well I haven’t cheated on your ass. You’re over reacting for no reason! ”

“What do you mean no reason? I have every reason in the world to react this way! You just walked in here and dropped a bombshell on me! Do you have any idea how this makes me feel?” Rahmeek moved in so close to my face that our noses were damn near touching. He spoke to me through gritted teeth.
