  “We are here,” Simeon interjected.

Once they reached the bridge, Cadan led them down to the glowing round table in the center. Akilan was already seated, slowly pulling his attention away from the wall viewer that was still displaying an orbital view of the Kadingir wormhole coordinates.

Taon, who was assisted by the senior medical officer, sat down next to Akilan. In the short time she had spent with him, Alana had already developed a healthy affinity toward her new patient. Simeon, Mykah and Ben followed suit with only Cadan remaining on his feet.

“The time of the Ansharian return is upon us,” Akilan declared after waiting for the medical officer to exit the room. “We have successfully completed the first phase of our counter offensive and the necessary elements are now in place for us to proceed to the next step. Taon, you are a genetic clone derived from a pure blood line of extraterrestrials known as the Torahnossians. You were endowed with certain abilities that will be required for us to prevail over the force that threatens complete domination of this planet and system. Your maturation cycle was not yet fully complete when you escaped the Dugway facility. That is why you mentioned to Cadan that you felt like you had gaps in your memory. The fact is your memory was the last coding that Gideon, the man you know as Dr. Hauer, had left to complete before you were fully mature.

“Simeon, Cadan, and Gideon are all direct descendants of the first Torahnossians that arrived on the planet. Mykah is also partially Torahnossian, a fact that she learned just earlier tonight. Taon, once I complete your coding, you will have a complete knowledge of the 16,000 year history of our people on Earth. In the meantime, after this briefing you, Ben and Mykah can review our historical files as time permits.

“For now you simply need to understand that intelligent life on all of our worlds was benevolently manipulated by a group we call the Progenitors. Reestablishing contact with them will be our ultimate goal, but we must first defend this planet from an incoming Ansharian fleet that will be arriving within hours through a wormhole. This task will require us to enable our fleet to reach Earth – an event that cannot be initiated for a few more days.” Akilan concluded.

Mykah could not help herself and asked, “Why?”

Cadan stood and walked over to a star chart displayed on the main wall viewer. He touched the data pad in his left hand and a section of space was enlarged. As he pointed to the Torahnossian reconnaissance data, he answered, “Because, we are not able to use the wormhole in our sector of the galaxy. The other side of the Kadingir wormhole resides in an area that represents the Ansharians’ last stronghold in our sector.”

A close up image of a spaceport replaced the star map and Cadan continued, “We were able to get the Zealieon and Hezron through the wormhole 16,000 years ago because the Ansharians had not yet taken full control of these spatial coordinates. Subsequently, the Ansharians have established several defensive stations and an immense space port with a high capacity construction shipyard surrounding the coordinates. When the wormhole reappeared in 6,000 BC we were unable to get any of our ships through.” Cadan paused and looked over directly at Mykah with his infectious grin stamped wide.

“And we cannot just hyper drive in with the Millennium Falcon,” Cadan kidded his cousin, a known Star Wars fanatic.

“Torahnoss is a tad over twenty-seven trillion miles from Earth. Our top speed is 1.2 million of your units measured as miles per hour. Even if we could maintain that speed through the entire journey it would take a minimum of over 2,572 years to reach Earth. And since it is not feasible to assume we could maintain top speed the entire trip, a better estimate is in the neighborhood of 6,000 years,” Cadan precisely explained.

“So how are you gonna get the fleet here?” Mykah followed.

“We are planning to use a method that the Ansharians first attempted over a dozen millennia ago. On their first expedition through the wormhole 24,000 years ago, their small squadron of scout ships included a science vessel that identified and mapped Earth’s geo-energy grid system,” Cadan walked back over to the table, looked down to press a control panel and activated a hologram. Floating above the glowing holo-table, a large model of the Earth appeared with an overlay of an icosa-dodecahedron grid.

“Simeon, you can do the honors,” Cadan deferred, remaining on his feet with his arms crossed.

Leaning forward in his chair, Simeon pressed a separate control panel that highlighted certain vortices on the grid. Resting his elbows on the holo-table and clasping his hands together, Simeon began, “The grid consists of a series of major vortices interconnected by the aspect lines of Earth’s crystalline core. Mykah this is what your people and other Native American tribes call ‘Spider Woman.’ During the billions of years of your planet’s formation, the temperature-pressure extremes of the inner core caused a coalescence of volcanic matter into a mass of hexagonal close-packed iron that settled into what has eventually become a 1,500 mile wide crystal core. The crystal edges and vortices carry most of the thermal and electromagnetic energy developing from within the Earth and ‘vent’ the energy at the points along this icosa-dodecahedron grid.”

Simeon used his hands to push himself to his feet and walked over to where Akilan was seated. He gave a slight nod to the old man and a portion of the table opened with the resonator emerging, sitting atop its diamond base.

“This device is one of two ‘resonators’ that were brought to Earth by the Ansharians – the first one in 14,000 BC and the second with their failed expedition in 6,000 BC. The resonators were designed to collect, tune and focus the energy throughout the planetary grid. The first resonator was destroyed in 10,500 BC with the destruction of Atlantis near Bimini.

“The Ansharians were attempting to create a spatial vortex - an induced wormhole if you will - that would allow their ships instant access to Earth from our sector of the galaxy. In the process of their first Earth attempt, the main Ansharian planetary command base was destroyed along with their resonator and the only remaining anti- matter core; an event that greatly reduced their influence over the planet for a significant period of time.”

“Why didn’t they just make another resonator?” Mykah asked with her curiosity preventing her from remaining silent.

“About 18,000 years ago in the Saloumir system, the closest system to Ventori-Soiala, the Ansharians discovered a small, uninhabited, purely crystalline planet. The ‘Vestrium’ crystal from this planet maintained the highest frequency ever discovered by either of our planets’ scientists. When the Ansharians initiated a mining operation on the surface, their careless approach caused a harmonic quake which destroyed the planet. They had severely underestimated the volatility of the Vestrium and eventually only recovered a few sizable crystal shards from the sea of blue dust that was once a planet.

“The crystal is extremely difficult to handle properly and even more difficult to cut. A properly cut Vestrium crystal that correlates with the shape of a planet’s crystalline core can resonate power from its geo-electromagnetic energy grid. The Ansharians learned the necessity of a properly cut crystal after their very first attempt to utilize a planetary grid on Sapata, also in the Ventori-Soiala system. That time they did not technically destroy the whole planet but the maligned crystal resonator burned away the atmosphere and killed nearly the entire population.

“In the Atlantian destruction, they learned that if the vortex could not be properly targeted it was useless to activate it – even catastrophic. The Ansharians attempted to use an anti-matter core connected to a photonic targeting array as a capacitor, but the array was unable to efficiently direct the energy. Although the crystal resonator began generating the vortex, the lack of directional control over the spiraling tachyon field within the giant columnar wave created a feedback in the capacitor.

“The resulting explosion destroyed Atlantis and created a colossal tsunami. Most of Western Europe, the Mideast and Northern Africa were decimated. This event was chronicled in your planet’s major religions as the
Great Flood. The extreme increase in ocean temperature also prematurely ended your last ice age by accelerating the meltdown of the polar ice cap. And to this day a residual disturbance persists in that part of the grid that goes by the name Bermuda Triangle,” Simeon revealed, sitting back down.

“Just before their fleets returned in 6000 BC, the Ansharians prepared once again to activate a vortex, this time in Egypt. They learned from their first failures and had begun construction of a singular massive structure to act as the directional capacitor which would be activated by an antimatter core fed by the resonated energy from the crystal– the Great Pyramid at Giza. But our forces disabled their fleet, allowing us to retrieve both the resonator and another anti-matter core before the Ansharians could ever make an attempt to manifest the vortex. We have hidden and protected them ever since. Although we have had them for several millennia, we had to wait for one last essential element before we could attempt activating the vortex for own fleet.

“Won’t the Ansharians simply bring a new resonator with them and activate the vortex after they arrive in order to bring in more ships later?” Ben asked.

“First, it is unclear if the Ansharians have any resonators left. They reportedly on had two left after we retrieved this one. As far as additional ships are concerned, they only have three more remaining fleets beyond the one we know that is coming through the wormhole. We have recently achieved limited sub space communication ability using the anti-matter cell. So we have a fairly accurate count on their ships.” Cadan informed.

Using his cane, Akilan labored to his feet.

“The speed and direction of the tachyon spiral is what enables the space-time vortex to manifest. The control of the spiraling tachyon field cannot be achieved through mechanical means. The bending and refocusing of the light to control the direction of tachyon spin can only be achieved through synchronization with the correct organic vibratory resonance. In other words the directional control of the columnar wave requires an organic tuning vessel.

“Our mission would be much easier if we were not required to utilize the pyramid. But it remains the only properly aligned structure on the grid that is sufficient. We will use the power core and pyramid to operate as a capacitor. Taon, you will be trained to consciously control your molecular density through the manipulation of your atomic vibrations. Once you learn to achieve the proper vibratory atomic resonance you will be ready to use the resonator to direct the tachyon spin with your conscious thought – a third eye so to speak. This will allow you to project the vortex entrance to the proper coordinates in our sector.”

As Akilan described the essential nature of Taon’s objective, the hologram rendered a preview of the vortex. From Giza a giant columnar wave blasted from the planet’s surface into space, creating a bright flash that ended the holographic example of a successful activation.

By the time the holo-table deactivated, Akilan had completed his patient stroll to the main viewer that still displayed an image of the Ansharian spaceport. He looked at the countdown status in the bottom left of the screen:

  Time Remaining

  000000:00:00:33

“Cadan, switch to the orbital view – its time…”

The old man’s directive immediately captured everyone’s attention. They all walked over to the viewer near Akilan, staring at the wormhole’s general coordinates. The final seconds ticked down to zero on the clock that started over 550 years ago. A brilliant blue light formed about 800,000 miles from the planet, slightly inside Earth’s upcoming orbital track around the sun. The group observed a blue, string-like cloud begin to slowly spiral into the center of the light.

“There is something wrong - it is forming too fast,” Akilan remarked

The center flickered and the stretch of the blue cloud spiral contracted, condensing almost back to the size of the light. At that moment, the radiant white light of the event horizon burst through the center and instantly expanded the wormhole exit, stretching it to a 3,000 foot diameter. As the spherical mouth of the wormhole rippled like it was covered in a sheet of liquid silver, an oscillating band of gamma ray bursts formed an explosive blue outline around the event horizon where it reconfigured itself to the singularity ring.

In the course of a few seconds, the gravitational pull caused the bright blue spiraling gas clouds to expand and separate into four arms where the surrounding matter funneled into the mouth of the wormhole. The measurement index on the bottom of the viewer indicated a distance of six miles across, from the tip of one spiral arm to the other. A radiant glow emanated much further away from the phenomenon, extending for several thousand miles.

“The wormhole does not naturally stabilize this quickly. The Ansharians have discovered a way to manipulate the event horizon. It seems they will be arriving at least six hours ahead of schedule,” Akilan projected.

  CHAPTER 10

  St. Peter's Square -Vatican City

The square was filling rapidly with an increasing number of people pouring in from the Via della Conciliazione. From an Earth perspective, the wormhole appeared much differently on the far western horizon in Italy. The dazzling blue glow from the spiraling gas clouds was larger than a full moon. The center of the radiance possessed a discernible inner ring that pulsed back and forth through bluish variations, resembling a bright new sun descending behind Michelangelo’s iconic dome perched on St. Peter's Basilica.

Raylen stood near the obelisk in the middle of St. Peter’s Square. His glinting blue eyes were set charmingly within their sockets and consumed the amazing view of the forming wormhole. His wavy, sand colored hair was shoulder length and worn in a utilitarian style atop his tall and athletic frame. His light blond stubble complimented his tanned cheeks and strong chin as he stared into the westward sky.

He had been studying the obelisk since his arrival in the square from the Ciampino Airport two hours earlier on his way to attend the meeting of the Assembly of World Religions.

The Assembly of World Religions was instituted shortly after the formation of the New Earth Union. In 2029, after the Vatican became the seat of governance for the Assembly of World Religions by order of the New Earth Union, five sects were recognized as “survived religions” and each was appointed a governor to represent them in the AWR. During the process, each of the world’s major religious leaders was replaced in one form or fashion, including the last pope. The hierarchical structure for each religion was kept largely intact but supreme control of all bureaucracies now resided with the assembly governors. The Vatican was now like the UN security council of religion.

The five ‘survived religions’ were determined based on the number of pandemic survivors that still practiced a particular faith. The projections were that 180 million Christians, forty million Muslims, seventeen million Hindus, and eight million Buddhists had survived the superflu. All other groups that had survived but numbered below one million were placed in the fifth sect - the Universals.

Even though the five governors for the other religions were ultimately installed by the C7, the installment of the Universal governor was the most blatant. The 300 million Universals were represented in the AWR by Governor Darisam; a charismatic fifty year old native from New York. His biography was well known to the world. In 2025, Vale Darisam was a relatively unknown ‘new age’ religious guru when he started the Church of the Universal Creator using his sizable inheritance. The tenets of Darisam’s universal theory were little more than a reincarnation of the radical dualism of Gnosticism, focusing on the material world now being the realm for dark forces and the anticipated arrival of an equally powerful divine force.

Even among members of the other religions, this old message found a new audience in the midst of the economic downturn and eventual collapse of the world economy. Their ranks swelled even more after the Six Hour War and ensuing pandemic.

By 2029, in the span of just five years, Darisam’
s followers outnumbered all of the other long established religious sects and he was handpicked by Prime Rothstein to represent this new configuration of followers as its governor in the AWR. And for all practical purposes, because of the numbers that followed him and his rare ability to appeal to just about everyone he met, Darisam completely directed AWR policy– just as designed.

Raylen took in a few more seconds viewing the wormhole and then began walking away from the obelisk toward the west.

Things are about to get interesting , he asserted.

  CHAPTER 11

Old Cairo Base – Central Italy

The main viewer in the C7 command center showed an enlarged image of the Kadingir wormhole. The mouth of the wormhole had been forming for nearly five minutes, when a shield probe cleared the event horizon.

“Emperor Suen-Nergal’s fleet has successfully accelerated the stabilization phase,” Rothstein declared as the council observed the shield probe position itself at the inner ring of the wormhole.

After the Ansharian discovery of a dark matter nebula in the Saloumir system, they were able to harvest a sufficient quantity of it to construct this one probe. The probe was equipped with an axionic dark matter shield which projected a locally mass-negative region of space-time just ahead of its path through the throat of the wormhole. Once it arrived at the mouth, the probe established a stationary position, preventing its collapse and increasing the diameter of the portal.

The first vessels through were six small scout ships that emerged in pairs followed by twelve frigates and a destroyer. The ships maneuvered into a defensive perimeter around the portal as the main carrier, the Kashurra, began to emerge. The 2,500 foot long Kashurra punched through the wormhole, resembling a colossal metal zeppelin with the top half flattened. The forward two-thirds of the carrier were sleek and minimalistic in its outer hull design. Through this section the exterior was completely smooth with only the portholes lining the sides. The deck of the ship was also smooth with the large hanger doors providing the only discernible geometric patterns.
