  The attack was swift. The assassin moved with practiced precision. His blade cut down the opposition in relatively short order. They didn’t know what hit them. As he pulled his silver sword from the final guard, he approached the truck and stepped inside. He narrowed his emerald eyes, staring at Wade through long strands of silver hair.

  The man in the black trench coat entered the truck and Wade raised his shackled hands. The assassin used his sword to cut open the restraints and then turned his back and exited. Wade followed and when he stepped out of the cab, he saw the assassin standing there, his long, black coat blowing in the wind.

  “It seems your gambit paid off, Wade,” said the assassin. “The Thule Society is gone and the Spear of Destiny has been destroyed.”

  “Good,” said Wade. “Then there’s no one left to oppose the Order.”

  The assassin raised a gloved finger and traced a scar along his left cheek. “Except Elisa Hill.”

  Wade smiled and came up behind the man. He patted him on the shoulder. “Oh, don’t worry. You’ll get your revenge on her soon enough. After all, that’s why we brought you back from the dead, Seth.”

  Seth gave a dark grin and stared up at the moon. Yes, soon he’d have his revenge on the woman who killed him.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

  Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Percival Constantine grew up on a fairly consistent diet of superhero comics, action movies, video games, and TV shows. At the age of ten, he first began writing and has never really stopped.

  Percival has been working in publishing since 2005 in various capacities—author, editor, formatter, letterer—and has written books, short stories, comics, and more. He has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Mass Media from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in English and Screenwriting from Southern New Hampshire University. Currently, Percival lives in Japan’s Kagoshima prefecture, where he works as a literature and writing instructor at the Minami Academy.
