Lynna's Beau (Tropical Paradise Series Book 2)
Page 26
Hastily wiping away a single tear as it scorched a trail down her sunburned cheek, she sniffled and drew a calming breath before anyone noticed her moment of weakness and laughed at her foolishness for crying around a gang of seasoned inmates. She hated to cry, unless it was to get her way, and it was indeed a rare occurrence when it happened for any other reason.
Yet some days the thought of spending the next five years in this hellhole completely overwhelmed her and she briefly gave vent to the pain. Crying was a sign of weakness she could ill afford. Weakness would get you killed in her current home, the Mississippi Women’s Prison Farm.
