  “Offense. Definitely offense.”

Sophie was nervous but determined. They had to pull in Bob’s help for their plan to work, but luckily, he was all for team Sophie. Riley decided to give them a stupid ship name, but she was grateful for her new friend’s help and support. So, after their lunch, which entailed a few cocktails for courage, they made their way back into the mall to get her a few sexy outfits along with outrageously small lingerie. If the scraps of red and black lace could be called lingerie. All of it was see-through and was held up with ridiculously delicate ribbons. Then Riley dragged her to a salon where she had her entire body prepped and trimmed for that night. The outfit they had chosen was a backless black lace dress barely reaching mid-thigh, with elbow-length sleeves. She was standing in front of her mirror, in only the racy underwear and high heels. Her apartment looked like a completely different place after Riley redecorated it with the newly bought decor. It was colorful, comfortable, and absolutely everything Sophie’s life was not before she had returned to Ripley. She had just finished her makeup and went to sit down on her bed again when Riley came bursting in.

“Everything is set downstairs. Here you go.” She handed her a brown paper bag.

“I don’t think I want to know where you got these,” Sophie murmured as she glanced into the bag quickly.

“I’m sneaky—don’t worry your pretty little head about it too much.”

Sophie looked over at her Riley. She was fun and full of laughter and jokes, but Sophie could see the darkness lingering behind her smiles. She had her own demons chasing her, but she still made an effort to make everyone around her happy. She had accepted Sophie as a friend without really knowing anything about her or probing her to talk about herself or the life she was running from. Who knew it would take Sophie running from her nightmares and totally creating a new persona—well, as much as Sam would allow, of course—to make a true friend for the first time in years. It was sad, but she shook the gloom from her shoulders. Tonight was not a night for sadness. It was a night for new beginnings.

Riley turned to go but cast Sophie a final encouraging glance.

  “Good luck.”

Sophie nodded and reached for her new phone with shaking hands. Bob was adamant that they had to get her a phone and Riley had added a few numbers to it and texted the number to Bob and Sam. She opened a new text message to Sam.

  Chapter Seven

Sam groaned as he leaned back in his chair in his office at the station.

“I hear you, man, this is some deep shit. I had no idea she was still alive, the reports we got were pretty legit. If it wasn’t for Dean’s expert computer skills, I wouldn’t even have been able to find the Connors’ home address and now you phone me and tell me the wife isn’t dead.”

Daniel had just gotten into town with a thick manila folder tucked under his arm with all the info Sam had asked for. They didn’t trust the phone lines or a paper trail, so everything was copied by hand by Daniel himself. He had dark circles under his eyes from pulling late nights for this favor for Sam, but they were like brothers and would do anything for each other.

“Dan, be serious with me, how bad is it?”

“The Connor brothers aren’t your usual organized crime brothers. They aren’t into street crimes. We know they trade with guns and drugs, few pieces of art and jewels as well, but no one really knows how they started up. They sort of just appeared about eight years ago. They are ruthless though, they don’t have judges and policemen on their payroll, they simply get rid of any witnesses. And they’re smart as fuck, no body means no murder so we can’t get them on anything. If we capture one of their men, they take a cyanide pill before we get back to the station.”

“That’s some loyalty they’ve got going.”

“More like fear driving their actions. They knew suicide would be kinder than being released from interrogation to return to the Connors.”

“Yeah...” Sam got interrupted as both of their phones chimed almost simultaneously.

Sam glanced down at his screen and his heart leapt as Sophie’s number appeared on the screen.

  911—Apartment.

He jumped out of his seat and started running for the door; he didn’t have to say anything to Daniel as his friend followed him immediately. He raced over to the bar, haphazardly parked the truck, and jumped out. His eyes scanned the area quickly, but he didn’t see anything suspicious or any unfamiliar cars or trucks. Running through the bar, he didn’t even notice Daniel not following him anymore. He stopped at the door, listening carefully, but when he heard absolutely nothing from the inside, he burst into the apartment, his gun pulled from the holster, glancing frantically around the room. It felt like his heart was going to explode when he saw Sophie through the bedroom door. She was sitting on her bed calmly, with a peaceful expression on her face. Adrenaline was rushing through his body as he slammed the door in anger.

“What the fuck is wrong with you? You nearly gave me a heart attack! I thought you were in trouble.” He noticed her frame gave a shudder at his loud voice, but then he noticed what she was wearing. More like what she wasn’t wearing. The black and red lace did absolutely nothing to cover her body, merely enhanced the naked beauty beneath. He took a deep breath before blinking once, twice. Three times. Words failed him.

She gave him a beautiful smile.

“I apologize, Samuel, but I am in trouble.” Her voice was soft and gentle, just the way he liked it. He put the safety on his gun on before laying it down on the table.

“I told you not to top me from the bottom, Sophie. I also told you that we will play when I feel like it.”

She nodded in agreement. “I know. I am yours to do with as you wish; if your wish is to ignore me, that is fine.” She hadn’t moved an inch, had not even attempted to glance at him yet. He moved toward her but stopped short as he saw the items lying on display on the bed next to her.

  “And this?”

“Permission to speak freely, Samuel.” Sam clenched his jaw as she called him by his full name. That always fucking got to him and he was already rock hard. He agreed, and she looked up at him, her eyes brimmed with unshed tears.

“I am afraid of a lot of things. My husband is a dangerous man and I know you, you will keep me safe even if it costs you your life and that is what I fear the most. Losing you once was hell, losing you again will utterly destroy me. I know you, Sam, I understand you, I get why you feel the way you do, and I am sorry for making it hard on you. I have written down a few things that you would want to know. I am still having a hard time talking about it, writing it down is easier for me, and therapeutic in a way. Some of it is memories, some of it is general information on my husband and his life. It is to give you perspective, not to give you permission to hunt him down.” Sam’s eyes left her face and he saw the worn notebook lying next to her on the bed, but his gaze was drawn to the handcuffs that were also lying on the bed, along with Ben Wa balls, a crop and paddle. He nodded once and picked up the cuffs, recognizing them immediately.

“Where did you get these?” Sam knew where they came from, he just didn’t know how. They were his, hidden at the back of his closet in a forgotten box, filled with photos and memories of his summer with Sophie. He had bought them all those years ago, but he never had the opportunity to use the balls on Sophie; they were still in their packaging.

“I had some help from a friend.”

  “Damn Riley.”

“She cares about you, don’t be mad at her.”

Sam nodded. “So, this trouble you have, my sweet little love, how can I help you with it?”

“Samuel, I know your terms and I accept them. I need to give to you before you will give to me. I have given you the notes and I will wait until you have read them, but I am performing downstairs tonight, I was hoping you could help me warm up before I go down. I also hope that by the time I am done, you have read through the notes and will return to
me.”

Sam gave her a predatory smile. This was not the old Sophia he remembered; this was the new Sophie and he had to remember to thank Riley for her input.

“Very well. Up.” She rushed to her feet, her eyes downcast and arms hanging limply by her sides. Her posture was relaxed, her face serene, and he never wanted to see her any other way.

He tugged the scraps of lace from her breasts, pushing the material to below her breasts and tugged on her already painfully hard nipples. He lowered his head and allowed his teeth to graze the sensitive peak, reveling in her soft gasp of pleasure. After giving both of her breasts equal attention, he covered them again with the soft lace before standing back.

“Take off your panties and turn around.” Sophie’s breath was labored as her nipples still tingled with even the slightest movement, scraping against her bra, but she immediately complied.

Sam grabbed her panties from her and rubbed them between her legs, at her center, soaking up some of her dripping juices.

“Open your mouth.” Sophie’s stomach dropped with a ka-thump as she obediently opened her mouth and Sam stuffed her soaked panties into her mouth. She tasted her sweet and salty juices on the lace and it only served in arousing her further.

“Turn around, legs spread wide and straight. Head and arms on the bed.” Sophie bit down on the panties to contain her moan. His voice like that, firm and dominating, had more juices leaking from her weeping pussy, now open and on full display for him. His fingers trailed up her leg, caressing her into a trembling mess but a hard smack to her bare ass had her locking her knees and forcing her legs to remain still and stiff. Two of his fingers entered her slowly before trailing up to her bottom, lubricating the puckering hole with her juices. He worked slowly, repeating the action until she felt one of his fingers dip slightly into the hole.

“Did you get yourself waxed for me today?” Sophie could only nod as the adrenaline rushing through her veins had the blood pumping loudly in her ears, but not nearly enough to distract her from what Sam was doing.

His hands left her body, but not for long as she heard the Ben Wa balls jingle melodically. He rubbed them on her soaked pussy a few times, teasing her even more before pushing them into her pussy firmly. She moaned loudly as the second one followed behind the first quickly. They were big and deliciously heavy as they laid snugly inside her pussy, rubbing right on her g-spot. Her spine stiffened as she felt his attention return to her tiny rosette.

“Don’t lose me now, baby, just relax.” Sam’s voice was soothing as he rubbed a tender hand over her ass cheek. She exhaled loudly through her nose and forced herself to relax.

“Good girl.” He pressed his finger against her protesting hole and had to take a deep breath himself to remind him to go slow. He applied a bit more pressure and Sophie moaned as he finally gained a bit of flexibility and pushed his finger in a bit more before slowly pulling out and pushing in deeper again. He started slowly finger fucking her ass and Sophie dropped her head and relaxed her shoulders as she gave herself over to all the sensations running through her body. She could feel her orgasm building but just as she was about to burst, Sam’s fingers and heat left her body and she moaned in protest. Sam stepped back and appreciated the sight before him. He could see the small butterfly connected to the Ben Wa balls’ string. It was swinging slightly around Sophie’s slightly swollen mound, almost like a real butterfly that flittered around a flower.

“Absolutely gorgeous. Now turn around, remove your gag.” Sophie stood and felt slightly off kilter at all the sensations running through her. She was on the edge and only needed a slight push and she’d be coming like there was no tomorrow. She removed her slightly damp panties from her mouth, all traces of her pussy juices gone due to her tormented moans as Sam had tortured her.

“Put them on, kneel, and suck me off, baby.”

  Ka-thump.

Sophie rushed to get her panties on, trying to ignore the roll and tug of the balls as she moved. She was on her knees in front of Sam before he had even had time to take himself out of his pants. She opened her mouth, eager to taste him, to please him, to pleasure him.

Sam pulled back slightly and looked down at her. “No coming, I will be the only one to make you come.” She nodded despite the disappointment rushing through her veins.

She opened her mouth again and Sam didn’t mess around, pushing for the back of her throat immediately. She forced her gag reflex down and tried to suck him, to meet his thrusts.

He grabbed her hair firmly, pulling her head back slightly. “I need you to look at me.”

Sophie welcomed the burn of her scalp as he tightened his grip on her hair. She kept her eyes on him even though they were starting to tear up at his rough treatment and her tenuous oxygen supply. He pulled out and she gasped for air, taking a deep lungful while she had the chance. He rubbed his cock over her face, wet with her saliva.

“Sorry if I’m rough, baby, but I need this so much.” She barely had time to nod before he pushed inside her mouth again, each thrust deeper and harsher than the previous. She struggled to breathe but could feel the juices gathering in her panties. Her body jostled as he roughly used her mouth for his own pleasure, but even that had her edging closer to orgasm and her eyes widened slightly in panic. She didn’t want to disappoint Sam. His grip tightened on her hair and the tears spilled over at the delectable pain shooting from her scalp, zipping straight down to her clit.

“Tongue out, baby.” Sophie struggled as Sam didn’t slow his thrusts but once her tongue made it past her bottom lip he pushed deeper. She felt her throat constricting just as Sam held her head in place and grunted as he released his cum down her throat, and she tipped over the edge. She swallowed the moan along with the load Sam was shooting down her throat. He pulled away from her and grabbed a towel lying on the floor to wipe over her gasping mouth before cleaning himself up.

“Good girl, but you will be punished later for coming.” Sophie could only smile at him as she gently worked her aching jaw into a more relaxed state.

  Chapter Eight

Sophie took a deep breath to settle her furiously beating heart. She hadn’t performed in such a long time and it was hard to keep the memories rushing to the fore of her mind at bay. Singing was something she loved. Once upon a time it was what she wanted to do for a living but then her future was snatched away by her parents’ selfishness. At first, she was too young to attract Grant’s attention on an intimate level, but they’d incorporated her in the traveling carnivals they used to run. She was the entertainment, singing on a small stage at night in the carnival’s side shows. That wasn’t so bad. She got to travel during the summer, see the country and meet a lot of people. That was how she had met Sam, after all. The carnival had come to Ripley for a week and she saw him the first night she was singing.

Sam, Daniel, and Luke were wandering through the crowd, playing games at various booths when Sam had stopped in front of the stage and stayed there until she had finished her set. Afterwards, he bought her a cherry candy floss, they went on a few rides, and by the time he walked her to the camper she was sharing with two other girls, she was head over heels in love with him.

She walked toward the small corner stage in the bar where everything was already set up for her. She sat down on the barstool Bob had placed there for her and picked up Sam’s guitar. Sophie had to swallow the lump forming in her throat as she glimpsed the heart Sam had carved on the back of the guitar with their initials in it. They used to spend every moment they could find together, sitting on Bob’s porch. Sam would play for her and she would sing for him and afterwards he’d take her upstairs to his room and teach her that there was a whole world beyond just sex. You could make love for hours and still not get enough of each other. He taught her that a pinch of pain could push you over into an earth-shattering orgasm, as long as the pain was inflicted by a hand that would provide never-ending love and tenderness as well. She’d been in love and eager to please him and had submitt
ed her heart, mind, body, and soul to him after knowing him for only a very short time. She never knew that the things he had taught her would help to survive to awful years after Grant took her away from there, away from Sam and away from the only place she had felt she could call home. She sat down gingerly, her body hyper-sensitive to every move she made as she was still adorned with Sam’s toys. It was all part of her original plan of course, but the fact that it was working so brilliantly had her head spinning. She was going to make it work with Sam and this time Grant wouldn’t be able to take her away from here. She wouldn’t let him.

  * * *

“Hey, guys. I’m Sophie and I’m going to do a few songs for you tonight. Now it’s been a while for me, so please be kind.” At the sound of Sophie’s voice Sam turned toward the stage and had to clench his jaw at the beautiful sight she made. Her cheeks were still slightly flushed, her hands trembling but her eyes were shining brightly with happiness. He felt a swell of male pride and satisfaction that he was the reason for her flustered appearance. He had to actively focus on something else before his mind drifted to what he had planned for her once she was done with her performance. A hard-on in Pop’s pub was not the best idea. But he was going to savor the moment for when they were alone later.

His eyes scanned the crowd. Leave it to Riley to make sure the bar was jam-packed with almost everyone in town. The woman was crazy, but she was also an exceptionally caring and devoted friend. As Sophie started plucking the guitar strings his stomach dropped as he recognized the song. Their song, ‘Give In To Me.’ Her voice was still as soft and perfectly melodious as always. It dipped as she sang about her heart being set on him, how she would rather be all on her own if he didn’t want her. He wasn’t aware of standing up and walking toward the stage but there he was next to her, filling in part of the duet with his deep baritone. As she looked up at him, he saw the tears brimming her eyes, the happiness shining from the depths of her soul and it took everything he had in him not to scoop her up, carry her upstairs, and claim her the way he had wanted to since he first saw her nearly a month ago.
