His tongue found her clit and swirled around that little nub until he heard Carmen’s cries. Good. He wanted her pants and moans to fill the bathroom and echo through the large house. He hoped Royce could hear it too, because his brother needed to know Carmen was theirs. She was always part of them and always would be.
Ryan could tell his witch was close to going over that sought-out peak. Her fire magic was circulating the air and merging with her sexual need. Her sex combined with her magic reminded him of toasted marshmallows on a fire.
He held her tighter and lapped at her sweet essence. Carmen was everything he ever wanted, and through that desire he sought out nothing more than to please her.
“Ryan,” she cried. “Goddess, Ryan.” Her hands found his head and held on for support as her body shuddered out her release.
He didn’t stop. Not when her taste exploded on his tongue, not when she offered up something he could cherish every day and night for the rest of his life.
Something he always knew filled his thoughts again. Carmen was a strong witch, more than Royce gave her credit for. Sure, they’d always be there to protect their sexy little ball of fire, but Carmen held a strength that told Ryan she could hold her own.
Carmen was too lost in her pleasure to sense Royce watching, but Ryan knew. He wanted nothing more than for them to make her part of their triad once and for all. Royce wanted the same thing, but Ryan knew that his brother was frightened for her. Look at what their uncle had almost done.
He knew the thoughts that went through his brother’s mind because they sometimes entered his. What if they put Carmen in more danger? But almost losing her on more than one occasion was enough to knock some damn sense into Ryan. He wasn’t stupid. Whether they deserved her or not, Carmen was theirs. All he had to do was get his brother to finally let go and get consumed by the woman who already had Ryan’s heart and soul.

Royce heard Carmen’s cries loud and clear as he brought food back for them to eat. It took everything in him not to storm into the bathroom and stake claim to her with his brother.
He wanted her. That wasn’t in question, but he’d locked that part of him away for so long that he felt like he was losing control. Even when the truck exploded, he wasn’t able to save Carmen. Instead, she had saved them. The thought made him proud that she was theirs and scared shitless.
What if they couldn’t protect her? Their uncle was still out there somewhere. No doubt he was going for reinforcements, maybe even the benefactor Carmen had told them about. She would have been safe away from them, but the more he thought about it, the more he didn’t trust anyone else but Ryan and him to keep her safe.
He heard the shower start upstairs, and he was grateful that his brother actually did something he told him to do, which was a rarity.
That gave him time to compose himself, so his fueling passion for Carmen didn’t scare her off.
Royce scanned the refrigerator for decent edibles. He was immediately reminded that he and Ryan weren’t exactly the best grocery shoppers for themselves, let alone a third person. He hadn’t even asked Carmen what she liked. A smile filled his face when he thought of how their mother would have chastised them for being improper hosts, while their dad would have told him to stop overthinking and live in the moment.
Finally, he found cheeses, fruit, and other finger food he could fill up on the tray. Thoughts still filled his head as he worked, finished, and headed back to the bedroom.
Virgin, he thought. Carmen is a virgin.
He was happy to know no other man or warlock had put their hands her. No one had ever explored that entrancing body of hers. He wanted so badly to change that immediately, but that meant they would have to be gentle with her.
Shit, did the Durant brothers even do gentle? Whenever they’d shared a woman in the past, it was out of pure lust. No emotions were ever involved. This was different. Carmen was different.
Carmen wasn’t just another woman. She was their third part of perfection that they didn’t deserve one damn bit. Not that Royce was going to let her go. He admitted to himself he was selfish, and he wasn’t letting that woman go anywhere without one or both of them any time soon—or ever, if he had his way.
Royce sat on the bed and threw a piece of fruit in his mouth as he waited for them to finish up in the bathroom. He knew his brother was in there with her, helping her wash off, exploring every inch of her.
Hell, his pants were too fucking tight. He wasn’t jealous the way most people would be. Instead, he was jealous of the control Ryan had to give Carmen what she needed. Soft and gentle.
Royce knew his urgency could hurt her physically too. What if he was too rough? What if he caused her pain? He wouldn’t be able to stand harming her.
Ryan and Carmen came out then. His brother had a towel around his waist and Carmen had one around that tantalizing figure.
Seeing her partially naked was still tempting. Droplets of water still clung to her skin, and Royce had the urge to storm over to her and lick them off.
Then his brother had to go and make matters worse.
“Here,” Ryan said. “Take one of Royce’s shirts. It’s kind of big, but it’s all we have until we can bring your clothes over here.”
Fucking perfect, Royce thought. Ryan knew he’d crumble seeing Carmen wearing one of his shirts. It had always been a weakness for him.
His brother was a sneaky bastard and had the smug smile on his face to prove it.
Seeing Carmen drop the towel almost did him in. Gods, she was beautiful. He wanted to roam his fingers over those curves and lick over them as he did it. Even now, his cock hardened at the sight of her, making him feel like all control was slipping away.
Her skin was still moist, so his shirt clung to her, turning agony into torture for Royce.
“Here,” Royce said, trying to distract himself. “Come eat something.”
She came over and sat close to him, so her body heat merged with his. On the surface, he could feel her fire magic still stirring, probably from the session his brother had given her. Right underneath, he could smell her desire.
If he was going to keep the promise he’d made to himself and let her rest before they took her, it was going to be a long fucking night, or more like a long non-fucking night.
Chapter Thirteen
Carmen had never woken up to such an exhilarating and sensual moment. Ryan and Royce were up against her and fast asleep. She could feel the shape of them both, so strong and solid.
Her insides ached for both of them, but she couldn’t help but feel rejected. After that sensual moment and shower with Ryan, they’d eaten and both tucked her into bed so they could all sleep.
Sure, she had been exhausted, but the last thing she wanted was to close her eyes for the night. She longed for them to touch her and make love to her finally after so much waiting, after all they had been through together.
Gently, she slid out from between them. She noticed the open balcony and went out towards it. It was still night out, but moonlight, numerous stars, and several property lampposts gave light to everything.
She’d worn one of Royce’s shirts he had given her, and it came all the way past her knees. Cool air flowed over her bare legs as she examined the property.
The view of the large estate was enough to take her breath away. She saw the large fountain in the middle, which had mermaid stone carvings at its center with water pouring out of their mouths to crash back down into the water below it. There was something enchanting about the structure, and it seemed magical under the large, bulbous moon.
She felt the movement behind her before a set of arms wrapped around her waist.
“What are you doing out here by yourself, lovely?” Ryan’s voice rumbled through her.
“Yeah,” Royce chimed in, turning her so she was sandwiched between them, which was quickly becoming one of her favorite places to be. “We didn’t find you next to us, so you had us worried.”

I just left, guys,” she stifled a giggle at their continued need to keep her safe. “I’m okay.” She’d done a pretty damn good job at protecting herself and them earlier, which surprised her. Apparently, she was pretty good at taking care of herself. Who knew?
“Well, call us protective,” Ryan said against her ear, “but we aren’t letting you out of our sight any time soon, especially after everything that’s happened.”
“We won’t be making that mistake a third time,” Royce said. “Twice was too many times.”
“Twice?” Carmen asked. Royce caressed her bare shoulders and sent thrilling sparks through her. Damn, she wanted them bad.
“Once when we were teenagers and the other night when we let you walk off,” he said. “We’ve learned our lesson. We could have lost you in that explosion.”
Royce seemed so sad that she couldn’t help but rub her hand against his cheek, feeling the light stubble there guided nice prickles through her body and straight to her core. He looked at her then, and she couldn’t help but turn away from his intensity.
Carmen looked back out to the fountain. They’d said all the right things, and from the hardness of Ryan pressed up against her back and the sparkle in Royce’s eyes, she thought they found her desirable. So why hadn’t they taken her before? Why had they pushed her away again?
“What’s wrong, Car?” Royce asked.
“I understand if you don’t want to be bonded with me. I’d hate it, but I’d understand.” Carmen said with a sigh.
“What are you talking about?” Royce leaned in closer to her, his breath smelling like warm mint, tempting and delicious.
“I just thought you’d want to be with a witch who has more experience. Not some innocent virgin who can’t even control her element.”
The brothers’ laughter made Carmen’s head snap right up. She may have been a virgin, but there was no need for them to laugh at her.
Her skin heated up with embarrassment backed by anger.
“Oh, lovely Car, have you met yourself?” Ryan said, pulling her back into him until he could embrace her fully. “You may be a virgin, but you’re far from innocent.”
“Hey,” she said, nudging him in the chest with her elbow—big mistake, since she landed on solid muscle. Damn, he was built. They both were. In the glow of the firelight and bonfires, she hadn’t noticed as much. Last night, she’d seen just how built Ryan was, and Royce was his perfect match. Now, in the fluorescent and natural lighting, she noticed how powerful they both were at their full strength and intimidating height.
“It did surprise us at first,” Ryan said. “I mean, what warlock wouldn’t want to devour you at first sight? We only wanted you to rest before we tried anything. It has been almost two days since any of us slept. We wanted to give you time to recuperate before we even tried to bond with you.”
“He means I did,” Royce said. “If Ryan had his way, you’d be fully ours by now.”
“Fuck yes,” Ryan said. “Literally.”
Carmen laughed as both men moved in so she had nowhere to escape to. Not that she really wanted to get away from them.
Ryan nibbled at her ear. “Trust us when we say we wanted you last night more than ever, and if I didn’t make that clear, maybe I didn’t do a good job of convincing you.”
“Oh, I don’t think what you did was ever the issue,” Carmen said.
“There’s much more where that came from,” Ryan teased. “If Royce is finally ready, I am too. What do you say, Brother?”
“I just didn’t want to overwhelm you,” Royce said. “I’ve been so focused on finding who killed our parents that a lot of emotion has built up over the years. As long as we’ve waited to have you, we didn’t want our intensity to scare you, love, especially mine.”
“For goddess’ sake, you have to stop trying to protect me by staying away from me! I’m a big girl. I’m not going to break whenever something comes at us. You need to ask me if I can handle it first and trust that I’ll tell you if I can’t.”
A small grin filled Royce’s face. “My Silent Flame just became our Roaring Fire.”
“What are you talking about?” Carmen asked.
“You, fiery, honest, and so addictive,” he said. His voice took on a deeper tone that made her insides quake.
Carmen had to focus, or they were going to make her forget that she had a point to make. “Royce,” she said.
“We hear you, lovely Car, and you’re right,” Royce said. “I’m so used to protecting you from us that I didn’t even think if that’s what you wanted or not. We both know you’re not just beautiful, but strong, smart, and very capable of making your own decisions too. We never doubted that, but I’m sorry if we acted like it. I’m sorry more than anyone.”
“You better be,” Carmen snapped back, but there was only joy in her voice with no trace of anger. His words had warmed her very center and made her body crave them both. How could she stay mad when he looked at her like she was his whole magical universe?
Royce smiled at her, and she realized she wanted him to do that more often. Every day. Forever.
She longed to see her warlocks before she closed her eyes at night and wake up to both of them each morning.
“There’s that fire we love so well,” Ryan said, pulling her closer to him. “If you’re ready for us to claim you, baby, we’re ready to do it.”
“You weren’t just staying away from me because I told you I’m a virgin?”
“That wouldn’t stop us from taking you, beautiful,” Royce added. “You’re ours. Always. Never forget that, because I can promise we never will.”
“In fact, it kind of gets me going, knowing we’ll be your first and last,” Ryan added.
“Oh, me too, Brother,” Royce said with a wicked smirk. Royce made sure she understood by closing their distance with a scorching kiss, one that left her weak and wanting. If it weren’t for Ryan supporting her, she would have lost her balance.
Royce’s mouth explored her like a delicacy, and she did her best to match his achingly slow tempo, but she wanted more.
When he finally pulled away from her, she was panting. Her breasts heaved, and she saw Ryan staring down right at them. That dark look in his eyes made her clench her thighs together to keep the feeling from making her cry out.
“More, please,” she begged.
“More, you say?” Royce asked.
“Is it me, or is our fire witch hot as hell?” Ryan asked.
“It’s not just you,” Royce said.
“No, don’t say things like that to me,” Carmen said. Her voice was barely recognizable to her. “Not unless you mean them.”
Ryan smirked. “Say what?”
“She thinks we don’t mean what we’re saying,” Royce chimed in with a matching smile. “I think we need to show her. She did ask for more, after all.”
They were teasing her. Usually, that would annoy her, but she was entranced by Royce. Damn that smile. She’d never seen him do it much before. Now the silly-ass grin was addicting.
“About fucking time,” Ryan said.
“Ugh! You’re so irritating sometimes. Both of you. Stop teasing me already. I should just set you on fire right now.”
“Then do it,” Royce said.
“What?” she asked, her brow arching.
“Bring out your fire. Do it, Carmen. Give us all you got. I dare you,” Royce said.
“I double dare you,” Ryan added.
They couldn’t be serious, Carmen thought.
“We want to see you, Carmen,” Royce said.
“All of you,” Ryan added.
“I can’t control it. What if I hurt you?”
“We can take it, beautiful,” Ryan said.
“We’re right here with you,” Royce added. “Burn for us.” Royce stroked her cheek and made her lean into his hand. Ever since they’d rescued her, she noticed how sensitive she was to every single touch either one of them gave her. She realized it must have been the bonding she initiat
ed.
If she thought she had it bad before, she was total witch sap now.
They both trapped her then, Royce in front and Ryan at her back. Wherever they touched her, she came alive. It was like her skin possessed some electrical current and these men, her men, were her live wire.
Before she could question it, they flipped her around so she now faced Ryan, who bent down and claimed her mouth, flicking up a full spark in her belly. He took her advice and gave her more intensity, the kind she craved, the vigorous sensation she’d always wanted from them.
His lips weren’t gentle, but that felt fine to Carmen because her body didn’t want a gentle kiss. She needed the rawness of them. All they could give her and more. She wrapped her arms around Ryan’s neck and hung on for her life as that spark soared through her body and spread through her limbs.
That’s when she felt Royce at her neck. He nibbled and suckled the sensitive areas, making her crazed as to which brother to focus on. Thank the heavens he wasn’t gentle either, and she wanted the feel of his hands all over her until they explored every part of her.
Their lips on her skin were too much and nowhere near enough, and that’s when she felt her power come to life. It was like a small shock through her body and that forced her eyes open.
She noticed that the fire wasn’t just contained to her.
Carmen wasn’t just in flames that flickered to life all around her. She was burning from her core all the way to her surface. And it was all because of the two fierce warlocks who’d consumed her soul since high school.
The three of them were engulfed in a burning red-and-orange flame. It didn’t look like a regular fire. This glowed like it was filled with a magic only they could create. It didn’t burn. It simply hovered around them.
“What’s going on?” Carmen asked.
The brothers seemed aware of their otherworldly element then too.
“It’s your power, love,” Royce said, going back to planting kisses on her neck. “You’ve released it.”
“I’m doing this?” Carmen had burned a few things over the years after coming into her fire element, but she could honestly say she was never one of them.
