Recovery (Satan's Cubs Motorcycle Club Book 3)

CHAPTER ONE
Melanie took Andy’s hand and walked with him up to the podium. They had agreed to speak at Addicts Anonymous about being one month sober. Andy had agreed to talk for both of them. She had actually made it a little longer than a month. It was something great they were doing, trying to help everyone else and inspire them to get sober too. With all the chaos that had been going on in their lives, it seemed like a nice and normal distraction.
She squeezed Andy’s hand and fell back behind him as he took the spotlight, a position she was happy to let him have. She put on a proud smile without having to fake it. She was so happy about how Andy had turned his life around.
“Hello, everyone, I’m Andy. I’ve spoken before, and some of you may know me and my story already, but I wanted to share it to celebrate an achievement in not just my recovery but also the recovery of the love of my life. We are both 30 days sober, again. I’m sure you all understand how recovery can be a never-ending cycle. For me my temptation was always sitting right in front of me almost every single day. Where I worked, the people I hung out with, they all had blow with them.” Melanie nodded to herself as Andy stopped short of saying what his job was. It still wasn’t the kind of thing you went around saying to people, even if it was technically anonymous.
“I was bound to get back into it after being a year sober. I just want everyone to know that slipping up isn’t the end of the road. You can pull yourself out of it again. I was lucky enough to have the beautiful and incredibly sexy woman behind me to help me through. She understood my plight having an addiction to beat herself, and I still don’t know how I deserved it. But here we are in this amazing place in life, and I finally for once feel like I deserve the good things I have. Keep trying, and you can have that too.”
Melanie politely clapped with the crowd, feeling herself still blushing from his mention of her being sexy. As he turned around and wrapped his arm around her, she whispered into his ear. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were trying to get in my pants in front of all these people.”
“Maybe I am,” he chuckled back giving her waist a little squeeze. She couldn’t help but smile as they took their seats and waited for the rest of the meeting. Melanie found herself feeling impatient knowing that Andy had something planned for that night. He refused to tell her what and had even brought a blindfold for when they left the meeting. Thank goodness they’d driven her car. She didn’t think she was ready for a thrill like being blindfolded on the back of a motorcycle.
When Martin came up to them at the end of the meeting, she was embarrassed to admit to herself how distracted she’d been through the whole meeting. Even after all that time with Andy he still occupied her mind all the time. “Before you guys go, there’s someone I’d like you to meet,” Martin said with a big grin on his face. Melanie snapped to attention wondering if he’d finally found a woman. He totally deserved it even with his short stature and nerdy looks.
Sure enough, a girl walked out from behind him that made Melanie’s eyes almost fall out of her head. She was as short as him, which was a good thing, but she was beautiful and looked to be at least ten years younger. She had a blonde pixie cut and bright blue eyes that made her look innocent like a little girl. She even bit her lip as if she were shy. Way to go, Martin!
“This is Alice. We’ve actually been seeing each other for a couple of months, but we wanted to keep it on the down-low until we knew it was serious.”
Melanie tried not to laugh at his choice of words. “It’s so nice to meet you!” she said enthusiastically while shaking Alice’s dainty hand. “How did you two meet?” She directed the question at Alice with a friendly smile, but it was Martin who answered.
“She’s a nurse at a hospital I volunteer at during the week. She works in the pediatric wing.” Melanie couldn’t get over what a great guy Martin was, and he surely deserved a girl who was just as sweet and giving. She probably wasn’t even an addict which was even better.
“Well, we’re happy for you guys. It was very nice to meet you, Alice. But me and my girl here have got a date to get to,” Andy announced, squeezing Melanie again. The cute couple smiled and waved as Andy led Melanie out to the car. He leaned up against her as he pushed her into the side of the car. She could feel herself get lost in the heat passing between them. They’d be lucky to even make it into the car before something happened.
But Andy saved the day by pulling the blindfold out of his pocket and dangling it in front of her. She sighed knowing there was no resisting Andy when he wanted something. So, she just went along wanting to find out in a hurry what they were doing.
***
“Okay, I’m going to take the blindfold off now,” Andy announced with his hand on Melanie’s back, pushing her forward. It was awkward walking that way in heels, and she had tried to open her eyes and see through the piece of cloth, but wherever he’d taken her must have been dark. If it were a first date she’d be inclined to worry he was some ax murderer taking her to a dark alley downtown.
As the blindfold slipped off, she looked around and instantly felt like crying happy tears. Their apartment had been transformed into a romantic, secluded restaurant. The furniture had been moved so that there was a table for two in the center of the place, and candles were lit everywhere she looked. Music came from somewhere, and the sound reminded her of something they would play in Italy. On the table was two plates with some sort of pasta dish and two glasses of what she assumed was probably grape juice again.
“How did you manage to do this without me knowing? Can you teleport? Are there two of you?” She laughed out the questions, still taking in the beauty of it all. There were even some flowers in a vase sitting on the end table in the living room.
She caught a sly smile on his face as he pulled out a chair for her to sit like a true gentleman. “Perhaps I had a little help from a friend.”
Melanie’s mind went instantly to who she knew it must be. No one else would be so romantically inclined. Nor would he trust anyone else with a key to their place at the moment. “Caleb, Caleb did this.” She smiled to herself, knowing she’d have to thank him later. She looked at the way the light danced across Andy’s shaven face. He looked so young and handsome that way. Maybe she’d thank him tomorrow instead.
“In my defense, I had all of this made, he only heated it up for us.”
“Of course,” she laughed, ready to dig into the excellent meal he’d prepared. His cooking was almost the best thing about being with Andy. The best thing, she’d have to sink her teeth into later. She picked up her fork and began to twirl the noodles around it. It smelled delicious, the steam rising to meet her nose.
“I love you, Melanie,” Andy confessed in a low tone, reaching out to stroke her hand. “I’d do anything for you.” There was something ominous about what he said, knowing what was going on with his motorcycle gang. The night he had told her about it came rushing back to her as she sat there. She tried to push it out of her mind, not wanting it to ruin her date. Things had been quiet, and he was getting updates. They had agreed to worry about it only when they had to.
“I love you too,” she answered with the best smile she could muster before shoving a whole bite of the spaghetti into her mouth. The sauce was heavenly, homemade. How had she landed a hot guy who could cook like her grandmother?
She held his hand as they both indulged in the excellent meal. It was over almost too soon. Her stomach was full, but her tongue craved more. “So are you ready for dessert?” Andy asked. He sounded serious, but it sounded more like a sexual invitation to her. She gave a sultry smile and then a nod. She could wait a little longer
. It’s not like she was some kind of animal or something. Besides, if he made the dessert it was probably just as orgasmic.
She watched Andy disappear into the darkness of the kitchen, the light from the fridge making her eyes sting for a moment as they adjusted to the sudden burst of light. He was in his typical jeans and T-shirt while she was in a tight dress and heels. But she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Melanie decided to improvise, following him into the kitchen while kicking her heels off. She grabbed the small saucer with cheesecake on it out of his hands and swiped her finger through it. She looked right at him as she sucked the delightful sweetness off of her finger and then closed her eyes as if it was the best thing she’d ever tasted. Then, she dipped her finger back into it, watching Andy try not to react. She reached to him, offering the finger with the cheesecake on it.
He opened his mouth, inviting her in, and she slipped the finger into his mouth. She felt the blood rising to the tip of her finger as he sucked just a little too hard. His eyes stayed open the whole time as he began to nibble, keeping it in his mouth long after it was sucked clean.
Melanie sat the piece of cake down on the counter, abandoning it for a much better dessert. She began stripping Andy down to his boxers, his clothes littering the kitchen tile. She pulled him into her, kissing him as he tripped over the pile they left in the floor.
At some point Andy took over, using his strength to push her up against the wall as he turned into his usual alpha self. Melanie loved that side of him, loved that he was back to his usual way of behaving. She had been used to being independent before, but she liked having times where she surrendered and let someone else take the role of boss, especially when it came to her body.
She felt him hiking up the bottom of her dress to reveal her hot pink G-string. It took about five seconds to get that pulled completely off. He lifted her up with all his strength, and she wrapped her legs around his hips as he used the wall to help support her. She felt the bulge in his boxers pressing up against her before he wiggled himself out of his boxers as well.
They were skin on skin now, driving Melanie crazy. She could feel a familiar tingle running through her at the sight and feel of Andy’s amazing body. He had stayed thin and muscular just for her.
Then, Andy plunged his length into her waiting center. She could feel her wetness covering his shaft all the way up. His rock hard cock extended almost all the way inside of her, filling up every inch. She called out his named as he began to thrust into her hard, raking her back against the wall. Her hair was getting mussed behind her as she bounced up and down, her breasts slapping in rhythm with Andy’s movements.
She relaxed into him, letting him take complete control. She just wanted to let go and enjoy the feel of his cock slamming into her. She moaned loudly as he penetrated her deeper than she thought was possible. Sweat poured down his muscular chest as he grunted and groaned, enjoying her pussy immensely.
She clawed at his back and squeezed his middle with her legs as she felt her insides clench his hard shaft as he continued to thrust into her faster and faster. They climaxed together, screaming and clinging to each other.
CHAPTER TWO
Andy stared at the man who had just shook his hand as he sat down across from him. There was something about all salesmen that made then look like slime balls no matter how well they were dressed. But considering Andy’s past, he was pretty sure this was the job he would be most suited for at the moment and needed the least experience for. He felt lucky to even have an interview anywhere.
He couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable as the man whose nametag said Jack looked him over. Andy had gone out and bought a suit just for the interview, knowing car salesmen always wore something formal, but he felt so out of place that way. He’d even slicked back his hair and pulled it into a ponytail. He was so out of his element.
“So, I hear you’ve done some odd jobs and a lot of security work.” Security was the best way to describe what he did at Satan’s Cubs MC, or rather what he did. He had distanced himself from the club to make sure everyone was safe until things calmed down with the Colombians. Thus, why he needed a real job. “This is the perfect industry to get into when you’re looking to switch careers. It’s so easy to start out in and grow. But, do you mind if I ask why you want out of security?”
“I don’t like the politics too much -- or the hours, for that matter,” Andy said matter-of-factly. It wasn’t exactly a lie.
Jack fake-laughed at his statement and kept going with the questions. “So, how would you be an asset to this company? How would you contribute to the sales?”
“Well, I wouldn’t think this to be an asset anywhere else, but I can twist the truth a bit, put on a charming smile, and make a piece of dog crap shine like gold, if you know what I mean.” Andy couldn’t believe he was saying such things at an interview, but he thought honesty would stand out among the other candidates with plastered on smiles and perfectly rehearsed answers.
Jack cackled this time for real which made Andy feel hopeful. This guy probably really was a sleaze ball who didn’t touch a suit outside of the job. “You know, I like your attitude, Andy. Let me tell you a bit about car sales. Being successful is all about smoke and mirrors. They come here because they already know they want a car, often that they need a car. They’re going to buy something more than likely. All you have to do is find their absolute limit right before you blow the sale, and you’ve got them. They come in and say under $10,000, you say under $15,000. It’s just a game, man.”
Andy tried not to shake his head or say anything negative. Having the guy actually admit to the scam that is buying a car was just making him sick to his stomach. But it was definitely doable. He’d played games before. “I’ve been to Mexico a few times. I know all about haggling.”
“Well, that’s good to know, buddy.” Jack slapped Andy on the shoulder like they really were buddies. Something about him actually reminded Andy of Frank. Maybe Jack was secretly in a motorcycle gang as well. Andy smiled to himself imagining such a pretty boy walking into the warehouse. They’d eat him alive. No, Jack must just think he’s a bad ass instead of actually being one.
“Let me give you the grand tour. How would you like that?” Jack stood up and walked out, not waiting on Andy to answer. Jack really seemed to think it was a privilege to get a tour of the dealership. This dude was cocky, and if the circumstances were different, Andy would definitely punch his lights out just for being on the planet. Instead, he followed the guy lamely through the sea of salespeople and financers who were taking their breaks and chatting. They were mostly men with a couple of female receptionists who were on the phone and typing away instead of joining in the banter. They passed one woman in the hall, though, whose ass Jack not so subtly grabbed on their way out the door.
It was a good thing that being friends with your coworkers outside of work was not a requirement, otherwise he’d be out the door already. When did the world get so twisted as to make normal men assholes while those in biker clubs could remember chivalry and common decency?
Andy followed Jack out to an area labeled by a large hanging sign that said Service Center. There was a young man at the cash register which was just hooked up in a small booth sitting in front of where men in dirty jumpsuits worried over several vehicles. Jack put his arm around Andy’s shoulder like he was his date or something as they stood in line behind a woman who just purchased a car. She was buying the protection package for her new car, something that apparently kept the leather from cracking.
“Okay, you’ll have your car in about an hour,” the young boy told her as she walked away, back to the main building. An hour? That seemed suspicious. Andy peeked out the glass to see the brand new luxury car with leather seats being sprayed down with water bottles before they set it aside and went back to working on the other cars. It figured that even that was a scam. It made Andy winder how much profit the place actually brought in.
“Hey, Sean, I want you
to meet Andy.” Andy was pretty sure Seam must be the young man behind the counter who looked to be barely a day over 18. Sean flashed Andy an apologetic smile as if he didn’t like Jack or the job very much either. At least Sean had time to find another path, lucky bastard.
“It’s nice to meet you. Are you new here?” Sean asked, looking back and forth nervously. It reminded Andy of someone on drugs for sure. Not that he could blame the boy, it would be hypocritical, but he wished he could help the by understand what he was doing to his future.
“He might be. I’m interviewing him right now. I thought I’d give him the grand tour of the place,” Jack answered for Andy with a stupid smile on his face. “How is everything going back here?”
As Jack looked around and Sean didn’t give a verbal response, Andy assumed it was another rhetorical question that made no sense. This guy was a real douche bag. Jack suddenly used his hold on Andy to flip them around and head out towards the part of the lot that housed the used cars. Andy tried to wave at Sean, but he was already scamming another customer. “So is this job commission only or what?”
“Haha, I like your thinking. Technically, they have to give you at least minimum wage either way, but a guy like you should have this in the bag. I take home almost a thousand a week, buddy. Doesn’t that sound great? And I’ve only been here six months. That’s the beauty of this job.” Jack began to ramble on and on about his success in the business, and Andy just wanted to go home to Melanie and tell her all about this ridiculous interview. But that wasn’t happening any time soon. He had more errands to run when he left.
