  TIM McNEESE is associate professor of history at York College in

  York,Nebraska,whereheisinhissixteenthyearofcollegeinstruction.

  McNeeseearnedanassociateofartsdegreefromYorkCollege,abache-

  lorofartsinhistoryandpoliticalsciencefromHardingUniversity,and

  a master of arts in history from Missouri State University.A prolific

  collegereaders,McNeesehaspublishedmorethan90booksandedu-
