  "I know no one can ever replace Jenny," she began, but stopped when he shook his head.

  "No. No one can. But … our baby!"

  His emphasis said it all, Casey thought, feeling a bit delirious with joy. Clay had indeed found his way back. And somehow he'd found the courage to try again. For her. With her. And their child. The child that could never replace the one he'd lost, but could perhaps do the final healing of his lacerated heart.

  And she knew then that, however much of forever they got, it would be enough.
