"Maam...maaam... are you alright?" asked one of the nurses.

Shelby woke up in a hospital, still in shock. Waking up to two homicide detectives, a nurse, and her friend Marie.

She looked at the homicide detectives, looked up and down at the nurse, and didn't say nothing but just stared. She then looked across the room and could see her friend Marie holding her head down, rocking back and forth continuously sniffing, as if she was crying. She instantly started crying and yelling herself.

  "MARIE....MARIE!" reaching for her.

Looking to the sky the incident quickly flashed back in her memory.

"Ma'am calm down, we need you to stay calm." suggested the nurse.

Marie walked up and grabbed her hand.

  "Shelby calm down!"

The homicide detectives could see Shelby was still startled and overwhelmed and decided to check back in the next morning. The detectives then asked the nurse to step outside with them.

Closing the hospital room door...the nurse was at concern. "Yes detective?" asked the nurse.

"She's too overwhelmed right now. I have got part of the information from her friend Marie but Shelby is the key to this story because it took place in her home. Please whatever you do, don't let her doctor send her home in the morning until we investigate her."

Shelby blanked out when Malik shot Derrick in the head, causing her head to hit the arm of the kitchen chair.

  The nurse replied, "Okay."

  Back in the hospital room...

"Shelby.... Derrick dead...he's dead Shelby." cried out his cousin Marie.

Shelby eyes ran with water again but it was more of a silent cry this time. She knew going behind Nina was a low but she figured that the two wasn't that serious; that it was just a flinge.

  "Well did they find Malik?"

Marie gritted her teeth as the thought of his name, made her mad.

"Hell nall that bitch still on the run."

Suddenly the two could hear Shelby's phone ring. Marie picked it up and could see that it was Nina's sister Larissa calling.

  "Girl this Larissa!"

Shelby got her phone and answered.

  "Hello?"

  "Hey is this Shelby?"

  "Yea, this me. Larissa"

"Girl what happened? First he killed my sister now he killing other mafukas to?"

"Girl I know right...then his ass still on the loose."

Larissa paused for a minute, thinking about the whole situation.

"What Derrick was doing over your house anyway?" Already knowing about Nina and her past with him.

Shelby got quiet for a moment but replied, "Girl that's Marie cousin..."

  "Marie?"

  "Yea you know Marie...."

Marie looked up biting her nails ear hustling.

"Girl you know they say she the one who called 911 first when they saw my sister house on fire. Now how the hell she knew before anybody? Some ain't right"

  Chpt-8

"Damn man...FUCK!" Screamed Malik, talking to himself.

He sat out in the country, where him and his deceased dad use to go fishing when he was a little boy.

"Damn what the hell I just done man?"

Walking back and forth front one end of his car to the other, Malik was at an all-time lost. He could see numerous missed calls and texts from friends and family.

He just knew he couldn't go to his mom house, because he knew detectives had to been asking her questions by now.

"Fuck this I got to call momma man."

Running out of ideas, he then decided to call his momma. She quickly picked up. "Malik what the hell have you done boy? You got polices and every damn body else coming to my house this time of night. Baby boy PLEASE...."

But before she could continue Malik cut her off. "Momma...momma....MOMMA! Momma I did something stupid...Momma I did something stupid....just know I love you."

Malik's mother knew he had killed a man and she instantly started to cry, as she held the phone at a loss for words.

  "Baby what happen? Malik noooo!"

"Momma I don killed a man... a man Nina use to talk to. Momma I believe he killed Nina."

Malik pulled the phone from his ear, as he looked to the sky knowing that he just disappointed his momma. He could hear her crying and quickly hung up the phone.

He quickly pulled his gun back out of his back and put it in his mouth. Screaming out in the middle of nowhere, he started to think about Nina.

He could now see Nina’s mom calling. Shocking him half to death he dropped the gun and answered in frustration.

"Look Ms. Franklin...I did not kill your daughter!"

Ms. Franklin got quiet and finally replied, "Baby Nina's not dead..you won't believe what happen.... where are you_?"

  Chpt-9

Malik dropped his phone but quickly picked it back up. At a loss for words, his tongue just wouldn't let him respond to Nina’s mom at the moment. First she hated him for accusing him of killing her daughter, now she claiming Nina's not dead.

  "Malik?...Malik?"

Shaking with the phone in his hand, he finally replied, "Ms. Franklin please....I know you trying to set me up so I can turn myself in but it’s not gon work. I know my baby dead and I did what I had to do for her, for her Ms Franklin. So please save it....”

  "Malik Nina's not dead....."

"Please stop it!" screamed Malik again, crying and picking the gun back up.

  "She's not dead Malik!"

  "Please....!"

"That was not her body they found son!"

  "PLEASE STOP IT GOT DAMMIT!"

"Son just give me a minute. The homicide detectives just left my house with results of the autopsy, her blood is not a match for her type. The woman they found wasn't even pregnant Malik; I wouldn't make this up, I can't believe it neither."

"Ms. Franklin please stop....you're making me crazy."

"Malik...something fishy is going on. I believe somebody faked her death to get her life insurance settlement."

Something immediately clicked in Malik's head, as he thought about Nina's insurance policy. The policy was when she died, her family alone with her husband would split a million dollars.

The crazy part about it, was that Malik thought he was the only one that knew about it. Malik started to feel a sense of believing but wasn't a hundred percent of trusting the situation.

He paused for a second and finally replied, "So why haven't I haven't heard from her? Where the hell is she then?"

Ms. Franklin got quiet on the phone once again. "I can’t say right now over the phone...come here?"

"Hell nall ...where is she then?"

Still thinking it was a set up.

"If I told you, I’d have to kill and burn you to."

Ms. Franklin hung up the phone, turned around, and could see her other daughter Larissa looking dead at her!!!!

  **FINALE**

Larissa stood there with her mouth wide open. She couldn't believe what she had just over heard.

Mrs. Franklin quickly tried to play it off, thinking to herself..."Damn I hope she didn't just hear me."

Continuing to play it off..."Hey Larissa baby what's wrong?"

Jumping off the couch, Mrs. Franklin approached Larissa by walking up to her, trying to change the subject. Larissa quickly backed off, as if her mother were a total stranger.

  "Momma no...hell nall..No...don't tell me?"

Continuing to back up, she couldn't even stand to be within ten feet of her mother.

"Don’t tell you what? Baby what's wrong? Larissa? Why are you backing away from me like this?"

Larissa stood twenty feet away from her mother. Crying with tears, she just couldn't believe that her mother killed her own daughter for a damn insurance policy.

  "Larissa?"

  "Baby come here?"

Larissa continued to creep back as her mother crept forward.

  "Momma you killed Nina?"

  Mrs. Franklin dr
opped her head and started shaking it. Tears start to float from her eyes because she knew that the truth was finally out.

Instead of coming up with a half way logic excuse, she replied, "Baby we needed the money and you know the doctor gave Nina six weeks to live anyway."

Larissa couldn't believe it. She knew her sister had only six weeks to live due to cancer but was still overwhelmed by her mother greed.

Larissa stood there with her mouth still dropped. She instantly grabbed her cell phone and attempted to call 911...

  "Baby what are you doing?"

  "Larissa"

  "LARISSA!"

Mrs. Franklin quickly grabbed her gun from under the couch and aimed it towards her.

"911 what is the emergency? Hello...Hello..are you OK?"

Larissa could see her mom pointing the gun at her and immediately lied to the operator...

"I'm so sorry my son must have dialed by mistake."

"Don't make me do it girl...hand me the phone!"

Larissa threw her the phone and as soon as her momma caught it, it rung!

Mrs. Franklin quickly assumed that it was the operator calling back, so she answered. "Hello operator that was my grand baby that dialed by mistake we're sorry.”

The phone for silent...then suddenly a response. "Hello momma next time make sure your plan go as plan....!"

  It was Nina!

  **BONUS FINALE**

Ms. Franklin dropped the phone in disbelief. Larissa stood there with her hands up, due to her mother still pointing the gun at her.

Looking at the ground at the phone, she still held the gun. Her focus was more on Nina now.

She finally looked back up at Larissa, with her mouth wide open speechless, but finally responding, "Baby...omg, Larissa is not dead. Baby...Larissa is not dead!"

Larissa stood there thinking to herself that her mother was officially crazy. Scared to say a word, she just stood there crying and overwhelmed about the whole situation.

"MOMMA what is wrong with you? You killed my sister!"

Larissa broke down, putting her face against her knees. Ms. Franklin on the other hand, held her face while looking to the sky thinking about Nina and the possibility that she could still be alive.

  Suddenly.

  *BOOM BOOM BOOM!*

The two jumped instantly due to the loud knock.

  *BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!*

Larissa looked at her mother to see what was her next move.

Ms. Franklin pointed the gun back at Larissa, and signaled her with a be quiet gesture. She then crept to the door looking though her peep hole but nobody was in sight.

Ms. Franklin knew she couldn't call the police because Larissa would blurt out her wrong doings.

"Who is it?" Holding the gun tight.

"I SAID WHO IS IT?" Yelling this time.

Still no answer. Ms. Franklin then decided to open the door. She could see no one on the porch so she decided to close the door. Before she could close the door...

  **Boom!**

Malik burst into the door and knocked Ms. Franklin over. He quickly kicked her gun out the way and pointed his gun dead at her.

"You dirty bitch! How could you kill your own daughter? How could you?"

Ms. Franklin stood there on the floor smiling and breathing hard.

Malik cocked his gun demanding an answer. "Huh BITCH?"

Suddenly he could hear a gun cocked behind his head. He turned around and could see Larissa pointing her mother gun at him.

"Malik drop the fucking gun. I don't know what is going on but this shit is crazy."

  "DROP THE FUCKING GUN MALIK!"

Malik dropped his gun while starring at Ms. Franklin angrily.

Suddenly he quickly knocked the gun out of Larissa hand as the two stumbled to the floor.

  "BOOM!"

"See what you made me do!" Screamed Malik. "OMG SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO?"

Malik backed away from Larissa, as she stood there trembling holding her stomach full of blood.

Ms. Franklin was at a loss for words, as she stood there in shock watching her daughter die.

Suddenly Ms. Franklin grabbed Malik's gun and pointed it in her mouth!

  *BOOM!*

Ms. Franklin killed herself. Malik stood there yelling and screaming as police sirens went off.

  *A month later*

"Malik get up you have a visitor. MALIK get up!" Yelled the officer.

  Malik was serving life.

Cell 28 block-c door open for Malik. Confused on who would visit him, he walked in and could see Nina.

Wiping his eyes, he thought he was dreaming.

  "Hello Malik?"

  Malik started crying...

  "Nina?"

Nina told him the whole story. The crazy part about it was that the actual dead body that was found in the fire, was of a woman name Cydney Jones, with a history of using dope and ex convicted of burglary.

"Baby, I'm sorry but the reason I didn't come to the police right off because I knew that she was doing it for the policy."

"Baby I got two weeks to live and wanted to give it to you and my unborn!"

Which would be forced out prematurely due to her illness.

Two months later Malik got a letter in the mail saying that Nina had died. The letter was attached with a picture of their unborn.

Larissa had custody of their child. Larissa didn’t die that night.

  The End
