Michael took a deep breath and paused his thrusting. “Maggie?”
She glanced over her shoulder, and he grinned at the sexy droop of her eyelids and her swollen well-used lips.
“Would you sit on me, darlin’?”
Without a word she dropped into his lap, and he shuddered as the convulsions inside her pulled him deep, almost making him come undone.
Michael grabbed her hips and helped her slide up and down. Sam shook himself as his dick pulsed back to life. No doubt he was getting a fine view from where he stood.
Maggie slipped her hands between her thighs as Michael continued to lift her up and down. Sam stepped closer and tugged her hands away.
Michael paused and looked at Sam. “You don’t mind if I join in, do you, Mr. Monaghan?”
Michael chuckled. “Be my guest.”
Sam dropped to his knees and pushed Maggie’s legs wider. As Michael lifted her and dropped her on his cock, Sam groaned his apparent appreciation. From behind Maggie, Michael couldn’t see what Sam was doing, but from the way Maggie was creaming his thighs and grabbing his cock he figured he was teasing her clit one way or another.
When she fought against his efforts, Michael let her be the driver. Hands on the chair arms, she worked him hard. When he knew he couldn’t fight any more, he whispered the magic words, “Over you go, darlin’.” And he rode his beautiful Maggie home. As she convulsed around him his balls released. A shudder ran through his body as his cum spilled from him in wave after wave of utter sexual fulfillment. He had never known it to be like this before.
Maggie collapsed against him and whispered, “I love you both.”
He looked at Sam, and the knucklehead smiled. Michael nuzzled Maggie’s neck. “We love you too, darlin’.”
He’d come back from London with no expectations and he still had no idea how a three-way relationship could work, but he regretted nothing.
The warmth and closeness of making love without a condom and the knowledge this was so much more than sex, made his breath catch on a sob. Finally, he was right where he needed to be.
Chapter 57
Sam shoved the blankets down and slipped from the bed. He glanced at Meg sleeping with Michael wrapped around her. The bed was too small for three people but he hadn’t had the heart to throw the Irishman out and he wouldn’t spend the night in a bed without Meg. Sleeping arrangements were just one of the things that needed to be sorted out. Would Michael move in with them? What about sex? Should he be making love to Meg without Michael? Did he want Michael touching her when he wasn’t around? His head thumped. Too many questions and no answers. When he’d called Michael and convinced him to come home, he hadn’t got as far as working out the practicalities. He’d known his girl was sad and he had the power to fix it. Now he needed to deal with the aftermath. They would need to discuss things and come to a consensus. No matter what they decided he had a feeling Meg would have trouble coming to terms with the day to day reality of life with two lovers. In the confines of their own home she was more sexually outrageous than he had ever hoped, but she had only just got comfortable with her mother knowing she slept with Sam.
He snuck across the room and grabbed a T-shirt, shorts and some socks from the closet. Maybe a run would help clear his head. Escaping to the living room, he dressed, tugged on his jogging shoes and stretched his muscles. Happy he was ready to go, he went to the kitchen for a glass of water. A sound made him spin around. Michael was standing in the middle of the room butt naked and sporting a morning woody that he appeared to have no shame about.
Michael scratched his head and yawned. “Where are you sneaking off to at this hour?”
“I was going to go for a run to clear my head.”
“If you go and get my bag from the car I’ll come with you.”
“You run?”
Michael chuckled. “I do lots of things. You can’t get a fine body like this by sitting on your arse all day.”
Sam shrugged. He wasn’t sure he wanted company but saying no might set things off on the wrong footing. Besides, maybe if they talked things through they could come up with a plan that Meg could agree with. She might be shy about her love life, but truth be told, Sam had his own issues. He needed to get used to the idea of not only sharing his girl but of Michael getting close to him. He hated to admit it but he had come to like the git. However, having the man pawing at him when he was naked was outside his comfort zone, although Michael seemed to have no problems with it.
“Keys?”
“Coat pocket. Bathroom?”
“Down the hall, second on your right, and if you plan to pee then I suggest you get that thing under control. Meg hates a wet seat and puddles on the floor.”
Michael grinned. “More likely to be drips from the ceiling.”
Sam put his glass on the bench. “That’s disgusting.”
Michael laughed as he wandered off.
They had traversed endless streets before Michael followed Sam into a park. This side of town was alien to Michael, although he had a feeling he may have visited a bedroom or two close by. His breathing was ragged but he was proud of the fact he had kept pace with the personal trainer. Sam was no slouch in the fitness department. Unlike Michael who had slacked off of late. Without the demands of dancing on a regular basis he had little incentive to be super fit.
Sam came to an abrupt halt, and Michael swerved to avoid a collision. Heart pounding, Michael stopped. He bent forward and rested his hands on his knees, sucking in lungfuls of air.
“Sit?” Sam waved at a bench.
Michael nodded his agreement, and they both sank onto the hard wooden surface. They sat in silence and caught their breath. Head back, Michael closed his eyes and marveled at how great he felt. Exhausted with barely the energy to move, and yet his body hummed with a strange energy. Everything and anything seemed possible. This must be what love felt like.
“We need to talk.”
Mood plummeting, Michael sighed and turned to look at Sam. “I knew it was too good to last. I’ll be out of your hair by lunchtime.”
Sam reached over and punched him on the arm. “Idiot. I didn’t say leave, I said talk.”
“About?”
“Meg. Us. Life? How the fuck is this going to work?”
Michael shrugged. The man had a point. He’d been so caught up in the whole love thing he hadn’t even considered practicalities. “Did you have some ideas?”
“I think we need rules.”
“I thought we had rules.” Michael grinned. “Maggie gets to orgasm first but only when we tell her, and I’m not allowed to suck your dick. Although, I would like to say I have no similar rule.”
Sam glared at him. “Is everything a joke with you?”
“Lighten up. It’s not the end of the world if you won’t give me a blowjob. I’m sure I’ll get over it in time.”
With a growl Sam pushed to his feet, but before he could move away Michael grabbed his arm and tugged him back onto the bench. Apparently Sam was serious and the honeymoon was already over.
“I’m sorry. And no, everything isn’t a joke. This thing with the three of us is not a joke. So, rules you say.”
“I’m worried about Meg. I’m worried that this thing will end up a horrible mess.”
“You’re worried you’ll lose her?”
Sam shrugged. “I’m worried we’ll both lose her. She’s vulnerable. Her mother’s difficult.”
“Well now, that’s an understatement if ever I heard one. The woman’s a bleedin’ tyrant.”
“We need to take things slowly. Meg is going to have to be comfortable with this before we make any permanent changes.”
“Would you be happy for people to know?”
“I don’t care either way. People can think what they like, but Meg’s different. Why? Did you want to keep it a secret?”
“I hadn’t thought about it but I’m not one for hiding from the world. I want people to know that Maggie Riley loves me.”
/> “It might be that you have to keep it quiet for now.”
A fist squeezed Michael’s heart. He wasn’t sure he could cope with slow, and he didn’t want to be a secret. He’d found Maggie, and he didn’t want to spend a minute more without her than he had to, but Sam knew her best.
Sam patted him on the shoulder and then leaned back and let out a sigh. “What about marriage, kids, sex?”
“This is all very sudden, Sam, and I’d hoped you’d at least get down on one knee. Kids might be an issue as neither of us has the necessary equipment, and as we’re in the middle of a public park, you might want to hold off on sex just now.”
“Clown. You know what I mean.”
“Sure I do, but how about we take things one step at a time.”
“We need to talk things through with Meg.”
“What things?”
“Do we always have to be together or can one of us make love to her without the other? And we need to work out living arrangements.”
“We could all move into my apartment. It’s got more space and a bigger bed.”
Sam grinned. “I bet it does.”
“Tut tut, you have me all wrong. I like to spread out at night.”
“I noticed.” Sam rubbed a hand over his face. “I don’t think Meg will move yet or want to tell the world we’re a threesome.”
“We can’t all sleep in your bed. Maybe I should move to my apartment and visit when I can.” Michael sighed. The prospect of a romance with Meg and Sam in one house and him in another was depressing. This whole thing was a minefield.
Sam reached over and squeezed his shoulder. “How about we go home and talk to Meg?”
Chapter 58
Meg tugged on her jeans and a T-shirt, and then towel-dried her hair. She’d been disappointed to wake up alone, but her panic that Michael had changed his mind and left was soothed when she tripped over his bag in the middle of the lounge. Apparently he’d disappeared somewhere with Sam, and if she had to guess she figured they were out for a run. Her initial dismay at being left behind was quickly assuaged when she realized it meant she could shower alone. As much as she had enjoyed the night before, her body was feeling well-used, and the luxury of a long hot shower went a long way to easing the aches and pains that arose from fulfilling the sexual needs of two very yummy men.
When there was still no sign of Sam or Michael, she wandered through to the kitchen, put some bread in the toaster and switched on the kettle. As she waited she put coffee and sugar in the cup. She had just poured out the boiling water and spread her toast when the front door burst open. Two sweaty men stumbled into the room and she squealed in fright. Before she had a chance to calm her shattered nerves, Michael grabbed her cup and took a mouthful. He handed it back and shuddered.
“That’s disgusting.”
Meg glared at him. “It’s coffee.”
“It’s instant, and is that Vegemite on toast?”
Meg shrugged. “What of it?”
“You people live like heathens. I see I have my work cut out.”
Sam chuckled. “And you’re so sophisticated.”
Meg crossed to the table and sat down. Was this what life was going to be like? Michael and Sam sniping at each other and her playing referee? As the men continued to bicker she sipped her coffee. They might be arguing but the anger and malice was missing. Had something happened between them? She had been dubious but maybe this could work. Maybe Sam and Michael could get along together when they tried. Maybe she would get her happy ending with two men, and what wonderful endings they had.
Michael and Sam joined her at the table. Sam had instant coffee but Michael opted for tea. They sat in silence and Meg looked from one to the other. “Okay, what’s going on?”
Michael shrugged. “Don’t know what you mean, darlin’.”
“Don’t try to charm me. I’m impervious.”
He grinned. “Not from where I was sitting last night.”
She felt her face flush. Last night she had been brazen and wanton. Heat filled her and desire flared between her thighs. She glared at Michael. He had sidetracked her. “I want to know what’s going on with you two.”
Sam shook his head. “Nothing is going on but we do need to talk.”
“About?”
He reached out and took her hand in his. “When I asked Michael to come home I never moved beyond him saying yes. Now he’s here, how is this going to work?”
She dropped her half eaten toast on her plate, her appetite gone. Did Sam not want Michael to stay? “How do you mean? Do you want him to leave?”
Michael took her free hand and kissed her knuckles. “No one’s leaving, darlin’. Sam’s worried about you. This isn’t Ireland. Your family and friends live here.”
“My mum.” She went cold with fear. “God, what if she finds out?”
*
Michael kept hold of her hand. He’d seen panic flare in her eyes. Apparently he was to be a well-kept secret if this was to work. Even if she could tell her ma she loved two men, the fact he was top of the woman’s list of undesirables would have sunk his chances. He pushed his disappointment aside. If he wanted Maggie he had to accept her baggage and all. Maybe in time they’d find a solution but for now he needed to be whatever she could cope with. Sam had been right to warn him.
“It’s all right. I can stay at my apartment.”
Sam stroked her fingers with his thumb. “Is that what you want, Meg? Do you want Michael to stay at his place and visit?”
Michael fought the urge to beg to stay. “You can come and see me anytime, and when you’re ready it’s big enough for all three of us.”
“Hard to believe but apparently he has a huge bed.”
Maggie stared at Michael, her eyes wet with unshed tears. “I’m sorry. I do love you but I can’t do this yet.”
“I know you do, darlin’. I love you too and I understand how things have to be. I can always climb in your bedroom window.”
She smiled. “I’d like that.”
Sam cleared his throat. “And that brings me to another issue.”
Maggie looked at him. “What?”
“Sex.”
Michael pushed his hurt aside. He had no intention of making Maggie feel guilty. “And you think I have a one-track mind.”
“I mean the rules. If I live here with Meg and you live at your apartment how are we going to work this? Can we have sex without you and do you want time alone with Meg?”
Michael looked at Maggie. “What do you think, darlin’?”
She shrugged. “Do we need to decide now?”
Sam shook his head. “No, of course not. Things will work themselves out in time.”
Michael wasn’t going to push things but he did know there was one rule he wanted. “Can I just say one thing? I don’t think we should keep secrets. I know I’m the third wheel and you two won’t be able to keep your hands off each other, but you don’t ever need to keep it from me.”
Sam nodded. “Agreed. No secrets. Meg?”
She shifted her focus to Michael. “I promise. No secrets.”
He leaned over and captured her mouth for a kiss, and then pulled away. “In the interests of full disclosure, I intend to take our lady to bed and shag her six ways.”
Sam grinned. “I think I might join you, Mr. Monaghan, but how about a shower first? We stink.”
Michael chuckled. “Now you’re talking.”
Sam pushed to his feet. “Me first.”
*
Meg watched as Sam left the room before glancing at Michael. “What are you planning?”
He winked at her. “You’ll see, darlin’.”
After a few minutes he got to his feet and sauntered from the room, and she followed. She could hear Sam in the shower. As Michael got closer to the bathroom he tugged off his running shoes and clothes, so by the time he got to the door he was butt naked. She had no complaints about the show or the prospect of watching them in the shower together, but Sam would nev
er agree to this.
Meg grabbed his arm. “You wouldn’t?”
He chuckled. “He invited me. You heard him yourself.”
With that, he pushed the door open and walked inside. Before Sam had time to protest, he slid the shower door open and stepped under the hot water.
“Oy. Get out. What the fuck are you doing?”
Meg pushed the bathroom door shut and leaned back against it. “You asked him to take a shower, Sam.”
“I didn’t mean with me.”
Michael reached around Sam for the shampoo bottle. “Too late to change your mind now.”
Sam growled. “Just keep your distance. If you even think about getting a boner I’ll slice your dick off.”
“You don’t want me to wash your back?”
“I think you should let him, Sam.”
“I think our lady wants a show.”
Sam turned and stared at her through the glass of the shower stall. “Is that what you want? Some male on male titillation?”
The thought made her insides turn to mush. “I would love some man on man back scrubbing.”
Sam lifted the soap and handed it to Michael. “Just my back and only because she wants it.”
When Sam turned around, Michael grinned and winked at her. This was going to end badly. Michael was far from limp, and once Sam noticed all hell would break loose.
Chapter 59
Michael leaned on the bar and sipped his coffee. He’d been back nearly two months and it had been both pure heaven and pure hell. They’d fallen into a routine. Sam picked him up after work on a Friday and he spent the weekend with Sam and Maggie. Once they woke up on Saturday he would go for a run with Sam. Most days, Sam covered a class at the gym and Michael would get time alone with Maggie. He loved having a couple of hours to lavish her with his love and devotion. They didn’t always end up naked. Sometimes they would curl up together and watch a movie or he’d put a CD on and teach her to dance. She had surprised herself when she’d discovered she didn’t have two left feet. Together, they’d worked out a routine to Ice House’s Hey Little Girl. In amongst the jazzy cha-cha moves she removed his clothes, and once he was naked she got to choose what she wanted to do with him. Sunday night always came around too soon and he would be back alone in his apartment. If the three of them ever went out together, Maggie never held his hand or acknowledged he was anything more than a friend. Sam still had the position of public boyfriend and the comfort of cuddling her to sleep every night. At least Sam had lightened up a little. He was not nearly as paranoid as he had been about Michael touching him. They often showered together, mostly because Maggie loved to watch, but he wasn’t allowed anywhere near Sam’s dick.
