Consume (Civil Corruption Book 3)

Her head fell back, and her broken gasp as I lapped at her nipple spurred me on. I wanted to make her as crazy for me as I was for her. “Always so goddamn sweet,” I growled, sucking and biting at her nipples until they turned a gorgeous deep pink color.
I started backing her toward the bed, ready to lay her down and spread her out so I could feast on every delectable inch, but she had other plans. Shedding the robe completely, she sat on the edge of the mattress and reached for the waistband of my jeans.
“Baby, you don’t have—”
Gina looked up at me from beneath a fan of thick, dark lashes, her voice husky as she said, “I want to.” Her fingers worked expertly to pop the button of my fly and start pulling the zipper down slowly. “I wanted to do this last time but didn’t get a chance.” My dick twitched eagerly as she pulled it out, her tiny fingers wrapping around it with the perfect grip. “I’ve been dying to know what you taste like.”
Her mouth opened, and she swallowed me down her tight throat. “Fuckin’ Christ,” I grunted, my hips snapping as my balls drew up.
She hummed around my cock like it was the most delicious thing she’d ever tasted and began sucking greedily. The sight of her lips stretched around me was almost too much. I had to grit my teeth and bite my cheek to keep from coming too soon.
“Jesus, sweetness,” I hissed as she looked up at me with those golden eyes, her cheeks hollowed out as she bobbed her head. One of Gina’s hands wrapped around the base of my dick while the other snaked around, her nails digging into the flesh of my ass cheek. “Baby, you gotta stop or I’m gonna come.”
That only made her that much more eager. She slurped and sucked at me like a popsicle.
“Fuck, Gina. Stop.”
She didn’t listen. Instead, she took me as deep as she could and swallowed.
“Goddamn it,” I growled, losing all control. Grabbing her under her arms, I hauled her up and slammed my mouth against her.
“You didn’t listen,” I snarled, fisting her hair with one hand and teasing her drenched pussy with the other. “You know what happens when you don’t listen. It means I get to punish you.”
I plunged my fingers deep inside her slick heat, curling them to rub at that spot that would drive her wild.
“Shit,” she hissed, riding my hand and clawing at my shirt. “God, Kill, that feels so good.”
I pumped in and out, taking her to the point that her walls tightened and I knew she was just seconds away from coming all over my fingers. Then I stopped.
“Killian!” she snapped with wide eyes. “What are you doing? Don’t stop!”
“You want to come?” I asked, pulling out to brush whisper-light touches across her slit. She whimpered. “That what you need, baby?”
“Yes,” she panted.
“Then you do as I say.” I slid one finger back in slowly. “When I tell you to stop, you stop. Got me?”
“Kill, please.”
“You got me?” I repeated through clenched teeth. “I don’t come down your throat. And you don’t come on my hand unless I give you permission.”
“Oh my God! You’re such an asshole!” she shouted while writhing against me.
“You do as I say and I’ll make you come so hard you’ll see stars, baby.” Christ, I was going to explode. Her smell, the feel of her, it was all driving me out of my mind. I needed inside her more than I needed my next breath.
Her glazed eyes met mine, and a wicked smile pulled at her lips. “You want it just as bad as I do. Maybe if you do what I say, I’ll let you fuck me.”
I’d never had a woman make me so crazy in all my life. I got off on dominating in a serious fucking way, but she challenged me in a way no one else ever had. It was thrilling and irritating at the same time. I craved her submission, and I wouldn’t stop until I got it.
“You wanna play games?” I asked with a smile of my own. Something told me this was going to be a lot of fucking fun.
Just like that, my Thumbelina made all the bad shit disappear.
Gina
I felt like I was going to explode at any moment. I was so close, hanging precariously at the edge, but that sadistic bastard just wouldn’t let me go over. That was why pushing back was so much fun.
“You wanna play games?” he asked, and a tremor of excitement worked its way down my spine. His hand disappeared from between my legs, and a second later, I was spun around and bent over the bed. “Are you on the pill?”
Another shiver worked up my spine. “Y-yes.”
“I’m clean. Wouldn’t ever put you in that position. You trust me?” he asked as the sound of his pants hitting the floor echoed in my ears.
The answer was an easy one. “I do—oh shit!” He filled me in one fast, brutal thrust. The way he stretched me sent euphoric shock waves through my entire body.
“I hurt you, sweetness?”
“No,” I moaned, circling my hips for more.
He pulled out and drove back in so hard my whole body wrenched forward. “You want it like this?”
“Yes,” I hissed, throwing my head back as he began pounding into me at a relentless pace. “Just like that,” I told him, turning my head to watch him over my shoulder. “Fuck me hard, Kill. Make me feel you everywhere.”
“Fuck me, you’re so goddamn hot.” He pulled out and flipped me around so my back hit the mattress.
“Take off your shirt,” I demanded before he could get his knee on the bed. “I wanna see all of you too.”
He did as requested, giving me an up-close view of all those rock-hard muscles and mouthwatering divots. Then he climbed over me and rammed back inside.
“Yeah, baby,” I panted, arching my back and raking my nails down his massive biceps. “Feels so good.”
“Been dreaming of this since that first night,” he grunted as he fucked me.
I opened my eyes and looked up at him. He was staring down at me with an intensity I’d never seen from him before. “Kill….” My stomach twisted as my release grew closer
“Do you have any clue what you do to me?” He kept moving like he’d die if he stopped, like his very existence depended on it. “You drive me crazy, Thumbelina. Can’t get enough of you.”
My eyes burned as the intensity in his words battered into me. “Don’t stop,” I begged, getting close, so damn close.
“You wanna come?”
“Yes.” I wanted it so bad I’d do anything. “Please!”
He grabbed my wrists and lifted them over my head. “Don’t move them.”
I fisted the pillow above me to keep from moving, afraid he’d stop if I didn’t listen. He started thrusting faster, harder, hitting that place inside me that set me on fire. “Killian, please,” I whimpered.
His hand disappeared between our sweat-slick bodies and slid down to where we were joined. The pads of his fingers started rubbing tight circles around my clit. I bit my lip so hard I tasted blood to keep from coming.
“Such a good girl,” he panted as he caused every nerve ending in my body to spark. “You close?”
“Y-yes.”
“I know, feel you squeezing the shit outta my cock. You ready to come?”
“God, yes. Please. I need it.”
Killian pinched my clit and whispered, “Then show me what you got.” And I exploded, screaming his name until my throat burned like fire. Every muscle in my body locked tight as my spine bowed off the bed and my head flew back. My hips undulated of their own accord, desperate to keep him as deep as possible so I could prolong the feeling.
A second later he buried himself to the hilt and bellowed my name as he poured himself inside me, setting off a second shock wave.
Once he finished and got his bearings, he pulled himself out, rolled us to our sides, and climbed from the bed, leaving me with a sickening sense of déjà vu.
That was until he leaned down, placed a soft kiss to my forehead, and murmured, “Be right back, baby. Don’t move.”
“I—okay.”

; The sink turned on, and I heard Kill moving around until he reappeared a second later with a washcloth in his hand. His voice was soft as he sat beside me and gave my hip a tap, forcing me onto my back. “Open for me, baby.” I did as instructed, staring in awe as he cleaned between my legs with a gentleness I hadn’t known he was capable of. “Better?” he asked, looking up at me, those oily black eyes soft on my face.
“Yeah.”
He tossed the washcloth to the floor and lifted the same hands to brush the hair from my forehead. “I didn’t hurt you, did I? You’re all right?”
Sitting up, I shifted to pull the covers from beneath me and wrapped them around my body, suddenly feeling shy about my nakedness despite him having touched every inch of it a handful of minutes before. “You didn’t hurt me,” I answered, unsure what was supposed to happen next. Was he going to leave? Slap me on the ass again? Which Killian would I get this time around?
I had my answer when he pulled the covers from my hands and slid in beneath them, wrapping an arm around my waist to pull my back into his chest.
“Uh, Killian? What does this mean? For us?”
His grip tightened. “Get some sleep, sweetness. We’ll talk in the morning.”
My body was too relaxed and sated after what we’d just done together, so instead of arguing, I snuggled into his strong, warm body and promptly fell to sleep.
Chapter Twenty-Three
Killian
The ringing of my cell phone woke me up. I was wrapped around Gina so tightly in my sleep, it was as if even my unconscious mind feared she’d disappear if I let go.
Shifting carefully but quickly, not wanting the phone to wake her, I scooted away, feeling along the floor for my jeans. Once located, I whipped the phone out and answered the call, keeping my voice down as I moved into the bathroom and shut the door.
“Yeah.”
“Killian?”
Fuck my life. “Are you kidding me?” I hissed angrily. “What the fuck did I tell you about calling me, Cara?”
“I just heard about Mason. Oh my God, baby. That must have been so terrible for you. Is he okay?”
“What’s going on with Mace and how it’s affecting me is no longer any of your concern, Cara. You’re not a part of my life anymore, although you seem to have forgotten that.”
“Sweetheart, I’m just worried. I know how close you guys are—”
Anger sliced through my chest like a white-hot blade. “Stop talking like you give the first fuck what’s happening.”
“I do!” she cried. “I do care, Kill. Just because we ended doesn’t mean I stopped loving you. We were engaged, for God’s sake! I was going to be your wife. I can’t just turn those feelings off.”
“You turned ’em off pretty easy when you were fucking another guy in our bed.”
She sniffled through the line, and I had no doubt that if I could see her face right now tears would be trailing down her cheeks. But they were just for show. She had a deft hand at bringing on the waterworks whenever she thought it benefited her. “That’s a mistake I’ll regret for the rest of my life,” she whispered brokenly.
I couldn’t keep the bitterness out of my words as I snapped, “Because you lost your gravy train.”
“No. Because I lost you.” Her tone was resolute, so strong that, had I not already known her to be a manipulative bitch, I might have fallen for it. “I’m coming to Germany. I want to be there for you. I know how hard this is—”
“Don’t you fuckin’ dare,” I snarled, my hands clenching into tight fists. “Swear to Christ, Cara, you show your face, and I’ll make you wish you’d never crossed paths with me.”
“You need someone to take care of you, Killian! You need a shoulder to lean on. Let me help.”
A bark of laughter burst past my lips, filled with so much resentment and venom it threatened to choke me. “You’re the last goddamn person I want help from. There’s seriously something unhinged in your head if you think I’ll let you anywhere near me.”
She lowered her voice again, ever the actress. “Please, Kill. Let me be there for you.”
“Stay the fuck out of my life, and away from me.”
I disconnected the call and threw my phone onto the bathroom counter with enough force that the screen cracked.
“Shit.” I placed my palms on the counter and dropped my head as exhaustion consumed me like a virus. I hated Cara for being such a greedy, opportunistic bitch. But more, I hated myself for having such an intense reaction to her after all this time. She didn’t deserve anything from me, not even my hatred.
The conversation I’d had with my father after we ended played through my mind. I should’ve known better than to try and lean on him for support, but at that time I was so ravaged, and back then I still let that naïve part of me hope he’d be the father I needed.
“Should’ve known she was nothin’ but a gold digger, boy. Just like your worthless mother. Women are only out for themselves. Sooner you learn that, the better. You never tie yourself down to one bitch. Take my advice: sample every flavor out there, and then walk the hell away.”
The bathroom door opened, yanking me from my misery. When my head shot up, the first thing I saw was Gina standing in the doorway wrapped in nothing but the sheet from the bed. Until that very moment I’d forgotten where I was and who I was with. Christ, I was such an asshole.
I’d fallen so goddamn far down the rabbit hole thanks to Cara that the high I’d been riding after being with my Thumbelina hadn’t just worn off, it had fucking disappeared. All I was able to concentrate on was the shit show that was my life.
“Hey,” she said hesitantly, her expression filled with concern. “Everything all right?”
I tried to smile, but it felt plastic and forced. “Yeah. It’s all good. Just had to take a phone call. I didn’t mean to wake you up.”
She took two small steps inside the bathroom, looking from me to the broken phone lying in the sink and back again. “I take it the call didn’t go well. Was it about Mace?”
“No, it was nothin’, seriously. But speaking of Mace… I should probably go check on him.
“Oh. Um, okay.”
Disappointment shone clear as day on her beautifully sleepy face, and I felt like a special kind of bastard. Hurting her was the last thing I wanted, but I needed time to think, to come up with a plan. I had to talk to Ian as soon as fucking possible to make sure he and his guys were on their toes in Germany. I couldn’t let Cara inject her poison into whatever it was I had going with Gina. I had to make sure the two of them never crossed paths.
It was like I was having a wicked trip where I was floating above, watching myself fuck everything to hell, but couldn’t do shit to stop it. When I’d come to her last night, I’d been so goddamn sure of what I was doing. The need for her was in my blood, pumping through my entire body until it was the only thing I could think about. There’d been no room for doubts or regrets. Being with her had been necessary.
Maybe if I hadn’t woken up to an ill-timed and unwanted blast from my past that opened a floodgate of unhappy memories, my head wouldn’t be such a goddamn mess right now.
But I had… and it was.
Moving close, I cupped her cheeks in my hands and rested my forehead against hers. “We’ll talk later, okay? I promise.”
And I had every intention of keeping that promise. No matter what happened, no matter where she and I went from here, I wasn’t going to leave it as I had the last time. I wouldn’t push her away.
“Yeah,” she said softly, some of the tension melting from her body as she smiled at me. “Go take care of your friend. We’ll talk later.”
She took a step back when I dropped my hands, giving me room to move through the door, but I couldn’t… not yet. “I mean it, Thumbelina. We will talk.”
“I believe you.” Her expression was strong, firm. She really did believe me.
Which meant I had shit to do, and I needed Ian to help me do it. But first….
&nb
sp; “In the meantime, can I make a request?”
“Sure.”
“No Marco. Not until you and I get some shit sorted.”
She opened her mouth like she wanted to say something as her eyes bugged out. But instead of speaking, she nodded in agreement.
As I got dressed and headed out of her hotel room, placing one last lingering kiss against her lush lips, I was determined not to fuck this up.
Gina
Vienna
Two days had passed since Killian and I hooked up again, and despite his promise that we’d talk about what was happening between us, that hadn’t really worked out. I wasn’t even sure if he was aware that Marco was gone. And it wasn’t like I could text him to let him know, seeing as he’d broken his phone.
Everyone surrounding the band was in serious damage control mode. The press swarmed on the guys after Mason’s hospital stay, leaving us with no other game plan but to lie and deflect. Food poisoning. Exhaustion. The flu. Every excuse for missing the show in Prague had been splashed across the papers, but the fact remained that the band canceled on a sold-out show, and there was really no positive way to spin that.
Brenda had set up a few interviews so the guys could apologize to their outraged fans, and money had been reimbursed, but that had done little to assuage their anger.
On top of all that, there was still a lot of hostility aimed at Mace from the rest of the guys and Lyla, who’d decided to hang around for the remainder of the tour to keep a close, personal eye on his sobriety. The cherry on that particular crappy sundae was that Mace was an unbelievable pain in the ass when he was going through withdrawal. He was rude, quick to anger, and an all-around son of a bitch, which only exacerbated an already tense situation.
I didn’t feel right about forcing a conversation on Killian while he was dealing with so much, so I did my best to ignore the anxiety eating away at me like acid, which was proving to be so much harder than I’d anticipated.
The one thing keeping me from spiraling was the fact that he hadn’t reverted back to Asshole Killian. We might not have had chance to sit and talk, but when we were in the same room, there was no missing the secret looks he gave me when the others weren’t watching. There was always longing in his eyes, and occasionally a glint of mischief. He’d shoot me a flirty smirk, and I just knew he was thinking back to our night in Prague. Every time he looked at me like that my cheeks would grow red, and I’d have to drop my gaze as shyness at how much he affected me set in.
