ABIGAIL POGREBIN has been a print and broadcast journalist for twenty years. A Yale graduate and protégée of television pioneer Fred W. Friendly, Pogrebin was a producer for 60 Minutes (for Ed Bradley, Mike Wallace, and Lesley Stahl), Charlie Rose, and Bill Moyers. She has written for numerous magazines and newspapers. Her previous book was Stars of David: Prominent Jews Talk About Being Jewish. Her identical twin, Robin Pogrebin, is a culture reporter for the New York Times.
