Chance (Rusted and Reckless Book 1) Page 9

by Charlotte Casey

Foreplay is meant to be torturous. It’s meant to deprive you of what you really want so when you get it, it’s that much sweeter…and hotter and sweatier and…

  Oh, god.

So, as much as she wanted to take him, she wouldn’t. They both needed to suffer a bit more.

His shirt came off. She might have been a bit forceful in her silent demand to take it off because Greer’s hand tangled in her hair and pulled her head to the side, exposing her neck. He took his time running his mouth down the length of her neck. A soft moan came from her as those lips moved from her neck to her shoulder. He slid the strap of her dress down the curve of her arm and then followed the trail with kiss after kiss.

On a particular sensitive spot he bit her and her whole body jumped in sensations. The hand holding her hair tightened as she tried to move. She wanted to kiss him. All that skin she just uncovered and she didn’t even get a chance to taste.

  “Greer, I want…”

“Quid pro quo, Ava,” he said against her skin like he hadn’t even heard her. “My chest for yours.”

The other strap of her dress was pushed off her shoulder. Greer let go of her hair so he could run his fingers along the line of her dress, pushing the neckline down to almost her nipples. By the time he had gotten from one breast to the other, she was panting. Her hips had begun to move on their own volition and were rocking against the cock that was straining for her pussy.

Aveline slipped her arms from the top of the dress and let it pool around her waist. Greer’s mouth was on her even before she was finished pushing down her top. Aveline cradled his head to her breast while rocking harder on his cock. They needed to have a very real conversation soon about a condom or known diseases because the longer he flicked and traced her nipple with his tongue the harder she was going to grind against him.

“I love your nipples,” he said pulling back to admire the deep rosy red he had just suckled. “They are adorable and tiny. They make your already luscious breasts look so much larger.” He ran his thumb over top of the puckered flesh.

“Can’t say I’ve ever been told they were adorable but thanks all the same.”

He smiled and kissed her quick before looking at the other nipple like he was about to feast.

  “Greer, wait.”

  He stopped.

  Like, everything.

She may have whimpered ever so slightly.

“No…not…” she groaned. She wanted to yell at him for taking his hands off her but how could she when he was prepared to stop everything if she wanted to. Such a gentleman. Aveline would admire that quality later. “I have an IUD and I’m clean.”

A look of pure horror came over him. Aveline recoiled. She repeated the words in her head but nothing warranted that look.

“I…shit…The condoms are at the hotel. I hadn’t thought…this was just so spontaneous and…I’m clean too. I got checked last week.”

He was babbling. It was adorable. The silly, stupid man was thinking with the wrong head. But she had no room to judge since she was thinking with that head as well.

As he stumbled over his words Aveline nodded, listening, but she also shifted her hips and reached behind her to move aside her panties. “Uh huh. That’s good. Me too,” she said as continued on with talk of always being safe and using a condom. When she had her hips right over top of him she lowered her body until the tip teased her entrance.

  That shut him up.

  “Good?” she asked.

He swallowed and placed a hand on the nape of her neck pulling her into his kiss. “Oh yeah, I’m good.”

She took him all, at once, to the hilt. Both of them moaned in shared pleasure. He filled her just right. There was no pain, no discomfort as she adjusted to his size. He tugged up on her ass getting her to move and together they found a rhythm that took them soaring.

Aveline gripped the seat behind his head and rode him. There was no concern for his pleasure, she knew he was right there with her, so she claimed her own. She leaned forward, pushing her breasts in his face as she changed the angle to hit right…oh yeah, right there.

  “Fuck Ava, you feel…”

“I know. You too.” She opened her eyes to look at him. His eyes seemed larger this close. He was open and vulnerable as he allowed her to look inside of him. Was she doing the same thing? Was he mesmerized by what he saw? The connection that had created the friendship and kindled the lust was continually building. With each roll of her hips and tug of his hands, whatever they shared, was strengthening.

It was almost too much. The higher they climbed, the more they saw of each other, the stronger the link became. Aveline wanted to look away, wanted to hide even just a small corner of her soul from him but couldn’t. He owned her and she him.

The orgasm built and came rapidly. She all but stopped moving as her muscles seized and the climax that she had been so greedily working towards, flowed through her. If it weren’t for Greer’s continued pull on her hips, she would have frozen with a strangled moan on her lips and collapsed on top of him.

Instead she just fell on him.

He kept her moving, nice and slow as she recovered.

“You are beautiful,” Greer said kissing the closest piece of skin, her shoulder.

Aveline look a second and then sat up. She pushed a sweaty strand of hair behind her ear and smiled. “Your turn.”

  He laughed. “Hot damn!”

She wanted to bring him hard and fast. With a quick leg adjustment she got a better foothold and could lift her hips and bring them thundering down on him. Greer groaned, so she did it again. And again. And again. Each lift of her hips brought him just to the brink of leaving her and then she fell down upon him, their bodies clapping together, the car rocking slightly. He held her ass and helped smooth the movement.

When his hands began to stiffen and his eyes fluttered closed, Aveline changed the movement and circled her hips.

He came, pulling her ass down and holding her in place as he rocked his hips into her. Filling her. She kissed his face as he did. Light whispers of her lips crossed his over-sensitive skin, lips, and jaw.

It was quiet as they recovered. The lust that once controlled them now ebbing away, sated for the moment. He kept his eyes closed but pulled her down into his chest and held her there. Still connected.

“You alive?” he asked, his voice dry like gravel.

Aveline kissed his chest. “Yes. You?”

  “Barely.”

He was softening inside her but she didn’t want to move, not yet.

“Where are we?” she asked. Aveline used her hand to wipe the fog off the window. “Taco Barn.”

The shack that had once been a taco restaurant was boarded up and vandalized. With a name like Taco Barn she wasn’t surprised the restaurant didn’t survive. They were parked behind the small building, unseen from the road.

“It was the best I could do. You are lucky we even got here,” he said. Greer’s breathing was slowing down and he had begun to rub his hand softly back and forth on her back. It was nice, would be even nicer if they were in a bed having this post coitus moment but as it was, they were in a car and her legs were beginning to hurt.

“May I suggest something?” Aveline lifted her head from his chest. “Why don’t we head back to the hotel, get in the obscenely large shower and then take this to bed.”

His eyes had gone soft as he looked at her. Greer found her hand and brought her fingers to his lips. The way he touched her made her feel cherished. It was frightening and exciting. Aveline found that the excitement outweighed the fear.

  “That sounds perfect.”

  Chapter Nine

Greer was basically dead to the world. He didn’t want to move at all or possibly ever again. He was naked, Aveline was naked, the bed was comfortable and room service was only a phone call away. What could more could he want?

Seeing the naked and sleeping Aveline might be nice.

  Going against his previous statement
of never moving again, Greer opened his eyes so he could bask in the morning after sex glow with her. Last night had been…wow. After the adventure in the car, they had come back to the room and taken a bath together. It was relaxing and cleansing and felt fantastic with her slick body nestled up against his. Greer took his job as bath attendant very seriously and made sure every inch of her was lathered and rinsed. By the end, she was back in his lap and spilling water over the edge of the tub.

They had yet to have sex in bed.

Maybe that could be changed this morning.

  If she was in bed.

Greer frowned and lifted his head off the pillow to look around the room. She was nowhere. He dropped back down and rolled to his back, rubbing his eyes with his palms. Her stuff was still there so she wasn’t gone completely. That saved him one heart attack but another one was in its wake. Where the hell was she?

  “Ava?” he called out.

  Nothing.

All his morning plans were going to shit. “Ava?” he yelled again, louder this time.

Greer rolled out of bed, his morning wood standing at full attention, and walked to the bathroom door which was closed. He tapped his knuckles and called out again.

This time he heard a noise. The handle turned and Ava pulled open the door. She was wearing a robe but he could see enough skin to tell there was nothing else on and a cell phone in her hand. From the angle he could see Rob’s face on the screen. They were video chatting.

“Hi,” she said brightly and let her eyes lazily drop down his body. Had her cousin not been doing the same damn thing from where he could see, Greer might have enjoyed the moment more.

  “Oh…damn,” Rob said in admiration.

Greer did not return the smile.

“What’s wrong?” she asked, this time concern working into her features.

Greer glared at the phone. “How is Rob?”

  “Enjoying the show,” Rob murmured.

She looked at the phone like she was surprised it was there. “Yeah, I was just checking in on…shit! Rob stop gawking.” Greer grabbed the phone from her and ended the call. The man had gotten enough of an eyeful already. He then bent, swooped her up and over his shoulder and carried her back to bed.

“Greer?” she asked in a laugh.

He dropped her on the bed and she bounced. The robe opened enough for him to glimpse her breasts. Now that is what he had been expecting to see when he woke up. Pale, creamy breasts, with tight little nipples, to fill his hands. Greer crawled back into bed with her, pulling Ava into his chest and nestled in with a happy sigh.

“Good morning,” Aveline murmured. Her fingers were dancing up and down his forearms.

He kissed her neck in response. Now this was how he was supposed to have woken up like. Arms full of woman, dick nestled in the apex of her thighs. If she wasn’t wearing that damn robe then it might be perfect.

“So what’s on the agenda today?”

Agenda? What the hell was that? Greer had been planning on something a little less structured. “You’re looking at it,” he said.

“Oh, ok.” She was surprised but something in her voice told him that she approved of his non-plans.

Greer rarely had days to just sit around and be lazy. When they had the day off like this, the guys either had appearances or had to work on their next album. Lately though, they had been used for Nix. Even today he would probably find time to call a few places and see if they have seen him.

Aveline turned in his arms and faced him. She had no makeup on and her hair was everywhere. He liked how light brown her lashes were. They matched the highlights in her hair. Right now, she looked soft, young. Without the makeup her features were delicate. Last night when she had been all done up she had been sexy. But as she laid here now, she was simply beautiful.

Sawyer had been right when he said that Greer didn’t do serious relationships. They had all been burned one way or another early on in their careers by false intentions and lying eyes. He wanted something that was real and planned to hold out until he found it.

In his arms, Ava felt real.

“I like you,” he said softly to her as he took her lips in a lazy kiss. He could feel her smile.

“I like you, too.” She wiggled closer and ran her hands up his back, into his hair. They kissed with no destination in mind. It was kissing for the sake of kissing. Lazy and fun.

He was just about to point them in a direction when someone knocked at their door.

“Open up, Asswipe!” Jason yelled. “Oh and good morning Aveline,” he said more polite tone.

  “Go away!” Greer yelled back.

“No. Open up or I’ll use this card I have here to open the door myself. You have three…two…one…”

Greer barely had enough time to help Aveline straighten out her robe before Jason opened the door. She held the lapels of her robe together but it did nothing to hide the scarlet blush of her cheeks. Greer was naked as fuck but it was nothing the drummer hadn’t seen before.

“Is that for me?” Jason asked pointing to his boner.

“Fuck you,” Greer spat as he pulled the sheet over his lap. “Why are you in our room?”

Jason grinned in approval as he took in the disheveled state of the bedroom. “Breakfast, Bud.”

  “Not interested.”

“She looks hungry,” Jason pointed out. And damn if he wasn’t right, Ava had perked up at the sound of food. “We have waffles,” Jason added with a devious grin.

“I want waffles,” she said seductively. Greer was pretty sure she didn’t mean for it to sound like sex but the desire in her voice was hard to miss. One day he hoped she sounded the same way when talking about his cock.

“The woman wants breakfast. Don’t deny her the soft, syrupy, buttery hot tub that is the waffle.”

And this is how Greer ended up at a table full of men and Ava eating waffles instead of having lazy hotel sex.

  *****

After breakfast, where Aveline ate some incredible waffles that Rory made and the guys had a chance to rag on Greer, they went back to their room and did exactly as he had planned. Nothing.

It had been fun to sit around in bed all day with no worries about doctor’s visits and homework. She forgot about her two jobs and the massive amount of crap she had piling up back home to do. She had forgotten about everything except the man beside her.

They watched movies, ordered room service, kissed and flirted. Greer used her belly button as a plate to dunk his strawberries into chocolate. He used his tongue to clean up his mess after she laughed so hard chocolate sauce started to drip down her sides. They spent hours naked just so they could explore each other.

It had been fun, until it wasn’t. Somewhere during the evening the easy laughter and lustful looks had turned to worried lips and furrowed brows. They stopped playing and started memorizing. Because in a few hours she would be gone.

The thought of not being able to roll over and kiss him whenever she wanted sat in her stomach like lead. Aveline didn’t want to go but she had responsibilities, she had a mother who literally needed her to survive. And she needed to work to support them both. They would do this again. He promised that he would fly her out whenever she wanted but she didn’t want that. Aveline was a proud woman. She wanted to pay her own way, or at least contribute. It wasn’t fair for him to fly her across the country at her whim.

  He disagreed.

They both packed. After she got on her plane, he was off with the band for another concert in another city. Neither of them spoke as they shoved clothing into bags. Aveline didn’t feel the least bit sorry for sneaking one of his t-shirts in with her things.

When he went into the bathroom to collect his belonging, she called the front desk and asked them to call her a cab. It was already getting awkward and she didn’t want to make it any worse. The plan was to have him and the guys drop her off at the airport on the way to the buses but then they would have to say goodbye with an audience. She would rat
her just get it over with. What was one more hour anyway?

“You packed?” he asked as he carried a small bag of toiletries.

She nodded. “Yeah. Hey, I know we talked about you dropping me off but I think I’m just going to go now.”

He had stopped on his way to his suitcase. His eyes held nothing for her but his tense smile and overly controlled breathing told her enough. He wasn’t ready for this part.

“Sure, yeah. Um, ok. Do you want me to call a taxi?” Greer dropped the last of his stuff in his suitcase and zipped it up.

  “I just did.”

  “Oh. Yeah, ok.”

Aveline patted the bed beside her. Greer took her hand before sitting down and brought it to his lips to kiss.

“I’m going to miss you,” he told her.

“Me too. But we are just going back to how it was before and I’ll see you again at some point.” When, they didn’t know.

“Right.” He wasn’t looking at her. Probably thinking the same thing she was. Goodbyes suck.

“Call me when you land and let me know how things at home went this weekend.”

“Sure.” God, she hated this. They both sounded so sad. It was depressing. After the weekend they just had both of them should be in better spirits.

Greer was rubbing his thumb over the back of her hand. “Alright, come here.” She fell into his open arms. So many bitter sweet feelings were running through her. Aveline wanted nothing more than to tell him that she’d stay, go with them to the next city and see where this was going.

But he wouldn’t ask and she wouldn’t offer.

So this was it, right here, right now. “I had fun. Best mulligan ever.”

“Me too,” he said into the crook of her neck as he held her. “Bye Ava.”

She pulled back and kissed him lightly on the lips. “Goodbye.”

  *****

“Hey, hey! You ready to go? Just got word that the busses are waiting on us,” Rory said as Greer walked into their suite. “Where’s Avalicious?”

“She’s gone,” Greer said, coming in and dropping his bag next to the pile and collapsing into the couch. He felt like shit. He would have gone ahead to the busses but Greer knew that would cause an even more number of questions, all of which he had no patience to answer at the moment.
