The virtue of faith and the vice or stronghold of doubt.

  The Shadow Heart

  AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Young people today face an entire arsenal of fiery weapons that Satan casts at them. Without diligent biblical teaching and true relationship with Jesus, there is no foundation for them to stand upon. It is easy to see why so many lose their way as they leave home. This is a travesty, for God has given all evidence and power to equip our young people to stand strong.

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. It is paramount that we give our young people every opportunity to increase their faith so that they may stand against shadows of doubt that will come their way. Satan placed the seeds of doubt in Eve’s mind, and a paradise was lost because of it. My passion, as conveyed through Sir Dalton and the Shadow Heart, is to reveal the dangers of allowing doubt and unbelief to become a stronghold in the heart of a young person and to encourage him or her to strengthen faith through the overwhelming evidence in creation, Scripture, and changed lives.

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil

heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

  —HEBREWS 3:12, KJV

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
