“It’s your dream. And you’re doing it. You worked your ass off.”
“When we get back, we sign the papers on the Crescent. We’re going to be busy.”
“We’ll make it work.”
“You’re my dream, Annabelle. The rest is just a bonus. The only thing I need is you.” I kiss her head and can tell she’s just about asleep. “Are you happy, gorgeous?” I ask quietly.
“I suppose.”
