Clutching her belly, she whispered to her unborn daughter. “Mommy and Daddy will make this world right for you and the others. I promise.”
Olivia just hoped she wasn’t lying to her little girl. Things wouldn’t ever be the same again. She understood that and was ready to meet any challenges head-on, but what she wouldn’t do was stay put like a little woman carrying a babe. It was the one thing she knew she and Blue wouldn’t see eye to eye on. It was one of the reasons she loved him. They were opposite yet the same. Her yes to his no would forever be the background noise of their life.
And Olivia was okay with that.
