Daddy's Little Princess

by Rachel Burns

I saw his shoulders shaking. “You sure are, Princess.”

This was a lot more fun than swimming. I could swim really well in the meantime, but still I didn’t care for it.

I did it to make Daddy happy. I guessed that made it worth it then. I enjoyed my quiet life with Daddy. It meant the world to me.

This peaceful life was what I needed to help me heal my wounds. It was getting easier and easier to sleep, and for hours to pass without a stray thought bringing back terrible memories.

Daddy gained a bit of speed, and I had a feeling that I would like riding a lot better than swimming. I wasn’t doing much, but I felt that this could be something I could be good at. Daddy gave me the reins and some more last minute instructions. I followed behind him. My horse kept pace with his.

“This is fun, Daddy.” I liked the feel of the sun on my hair. We often took walks together but usually in the woods behind his house. It was shady there.

Now we were on a wide path, and the warm sun felt really good. It was spring, and the morning was still cool. Nanny had bundled me up before we left the house, but the sun was gaining power.

I started to cry. I was flooded with emotion. “Daddy,” I called out to him to stop him. I laid my hand over my heart and tears were pouring out of me.

“Becky.” He pulled me down from the horse and into his arms.

My arms flew around his neck, and I sobbed on his chest. “Oh Daddy, I didn’t think I would ever see the sun again.”

He moved my head back and petted my hair out of my face. I had really scared him. “Oh my little Princess. It’s over. You get to be in the sun whenever you want now. Daddy is taking really good care of you. I made it all better, Princess.”

I was embarrassed now. “I’m sorry, Daddy. I didn’t mean to ruin this. It wasn’t your fault. I shouldn’t have dumped my problems at your feet.”

“Nonsense. I should spank you for saying something so ridiculous. You can always come to me, no matter what your problems are. That’s what fathers are for. I always have time for you.” He held my face, so I was looking in his eyes.

I nodded. “It wasn’t a problem. I was just so happy to be out in the sun, and then I was crying. I think they were even happy tears, Daddy.”

He smiled at me and hugged me again. He didn’t let go until I pushed him away. I didn’t like to be too close to others. I could only tolerate it for so long. “Do you want to go home?” he asked so kindly.

I shook my head. I looked back at my horse. I tried to get back on. Daddy gave me a push up to help me.

We rode all morning, every morning.

Nanny had me all polished up. I was standing at the bottom of the stairs waiting for Daddy and his girlfriend. Nanny was standing behind me.

We heard Daddy’s car pull up.

I really didn’t want to ruin this for him. He could have it all, a child and a love life. Just because I didn’t want one, didn’t mean that he had to go without.

Daddy told me that he had met this woman over the net, and that they had been seeing each other for a couple of months already. He had been very considerate, waiting to see if she was worth bringing home or not.

I listened as they looked at the house and talked before they came inside. My heart was racing. The door opened, and Daddy ushered her in. Daddy was grinning from ear to ear.

“Amy, I would like to introduce you to my Becky.”

Amy, who was shorter than Daddy but not by much, simply stared at me. She had brown hair and brown eyes. She wasn’t as good looking as Daddy was.

Amy stepped closer to me. “She is a very beautiful child, Collin. You’re lucky to have her.” She couldn’t take her eyes off me. She was probably shocked that Daddy really did have an adult woman living with him that called him, Daddy.

“How do you do.” It sounded a lot shyer than I had wanted it to come out. I had wanted Daddy’s friend to feel welcome and be okay with our family situation.

“Very well, thank you, Becky.” She turned and smiled at Daddy.

Daddy was looking very unsure again. I hoped I hadn’t done anything to disappoint him.

“Come on, Becky, let’s show her the house.” Daddy held his hand out to me, and I went to him as always. I had kind of expected him to hold hands with Amy, and I would have followed behind them like the third wheel on the wagon.

Daddy took Amy from room to room and showed her things. Amy smiled the entire time. She seemed very easy going.

Daddy didn’t show her my room. He just pointed it out.

Amy was going to be a weekend guest. She would be staying with Daddy in his room.

Daddy made it clear to Nanny that as long as she was here, Nanny would be sleeping in my room on the sofa bed.

Daddy wanted me to feel safe.

My nightmares were getting fewer, and they were very far in between, but they did happen. I hoped it wouldn’t happen while Daddy had company across the hall. I didn’t want to embarrass him or myself.

Amy was talking to Nanny and telling her jokes. I looked at Daddy and smiled when Amy got Nanny to laugh.

The maid found us and told us that supper was ready. Daddy held my hand as we walked to the dining room, but he talked to Amy. They were at ease with each other.

Daddy sat me down in my chair and then Nanny like he always did, but then he rushed over to sit Amy down too.

Amy started telling me about some of the more odd jobs that she had had. Everything she said was funny and witty. Daddy looked pleased that everything was going so well.

We talked and ate slowly. I even relaxed and spoke now and then. Daddy looked very pleased with me.

We then went to the living room. I sat down at the piano and played a few tunes.

“Do you take requests?” Amy came over with her drink that Daddy had gotten for her still in her hands.

I shrugged and looked at Daddy. He looked worried.

  “I’m partial to the oldies.”

I looked at Daddy for permission. Amy took that in very clearly. Daddy nodded. I sang and played.

Everyone, but Nanny joined in. Daddy even came to stand behind me and lay a hand on my shoulder. We sang songs from the fifties and sixties. We had fun.

I saw Daddy looking at his watch every now and again. It was almost my bedtime. Amy complained when I had to go.

“No, no. I don’t want to start anything,” he told her. “Becky.” Daddy looked me in the eyes. He had used his strict tone.

I was already cleaning up my notes. I went right to his hand and Nanny went with me too.

Daddy let go of me and passed me off to Nanny. “I’ll be in in a minute.”

I smiled at him and nodded. I went off with Nanny who changed me and tucked me in.

Nanny had already brought in her things and was in the bathroom changing when Daddy came in.

He sat down on my bed and leaned in and gave me a kiss on my forehead like he did every night. “What do you think of her?”

“She seems really nice, Daddy.” I smiled at him.

Daddy looked thrilled. “Sleep tight, Princess.”

Chapter 15 – Two Is Company, Three Is A Crowd

Collin smiled as he closed her door. Becky was really the perfect child. He loved her with his whole heart. He went back down to Amy who was reading a book on the sofa.

“That was quick.” Amy closed the book and stood up.

“She doesn’t fuss about going to bed at all. She is very good for me.” Collin moved, so he was standing close to Amy.

“Where – How did she come to be living with you?”

“That’s a very long story. I love her like she is my own daughter. That’s all that you need to know. In time, I’ll tell you the whole story. She is important to me, and she won’t be leaving my side – ever. Will she be a problem?” Collin looked Amy deep in her eyes.

“Are you two also a pair?” Amy was really trying to understand what was going on here.

“I assure you my relationship with her isn
’t in any way sexual. She isn’t interested in anything like that.” Collin could see that Amy would bow out if there were competition.

  “How old is she?”

“That doesn’t matter. She needs me.”

“Is she slow?” Amy asked very carefully. Collin had already been very clear that Becky was more important than she was.

“No, definitely not. She had an extremely bad experience, and this life is better for her. I’m giving her what she needs.”

Amy didn’t want to talk about her anymore. She wanted to spend time alone with Collin. She smiled at him and looked him in the eyes, hoping they would say what she couldn’t.

Collin reached out to her and kissed her until both were breathless. They cuddled on the sofa for a couple of hours before they went up the stairs. They had really gotten to know each other in that time.

Collin went in to check on Becky before they went to bed. She was sleeping like an angel.

Daddy and Amy were inseparable after that first day. Amy moved in with us too. She went with Daddy when he went away at nights.

I didn’t want to think about where he was going. I knew it was the club.

Why would he continue to go there? I never wanted to go there again. Daddy had told me that I didn’t have to, and that he wouldn’t have allowed it anyway.

I burned to ask him why he wanted to go there, but I figured that deep down I didn’t really want to know.

Amy usually slept in in the mornings.

Daddy got up before I did. A father had responsibilities, he would say. I saw him every morning and evening without fail.

Daddy usually came home for lunch too, but sometimes he had lunch dates with other business men. He was completely convinced that he was my father, and he acted accordingly. It made me feel special and very safe.

Today was a Saturday, and we were sitting at the breakfast table waiting for Amy. Daddy wasn’t big on waiting. He was slouched in his chair, and he sighed often.

Nanny always made sure that I was on time.

Maybe Amy needed a nanny too, I mused.

She came in and was all smiles.

Daddy sat up and rang the bell. He gave Amy a look that would have had my hands moving to cover my backside.

Amy sat down and chirped about having difficulties with her hair dryer. She apologized to Daddy and told him that she had to borrow his.

She had told the story so amusingly, that Daddy reached over and petted over her hair to see how well his hair dryer had worked on Amy. Daddy looked happy.

We ate happily, and Daddy and Amy planned a picnic for this afternoon. They wanted to ride to the pond.

“Becky why don’t you run off and practice the piano.” That was something that Daddy said to me very often, lately. He wanted to be alone with Amy.

I wiped my mouth with my napkin and stood. “Yes, Daddy.”

“Nanny, have her ready at two. We will leave then.”

Amy looked disappointed that I would be coming along too.

I felt ashamed of myself. Nanny laid a hand on my shoulder and got me out of the room.

I was ruining Daddy’s chance to find love and have a normal relationship. I was dead weight around his neck.

Daddy watched both Amy and I to make sure nothing happened to us. Daddy was of course a very skilled rider.

I was getting better every day. Daddy said I was a natural. He praised me a lot. He was very good to me, and I had been especially careful not to embarrass him, so he wouldn’t have to punish me while his friend was here.

I was starting a new record. I had never gone this long without being taken over his knees, but I was kind of cheating because I wasn’t spending that much time with Daddy. Nanny wasn’t the tattling type.

We reached the pond, and Daddy jumped down from his horse. Then he reached up to help Amy down. I waited for him to come and get me too. He did, but he was still talking to Amy. Daddy spread out the blanket for us, and I sat a little off to the side.

This would have been really romantic if I hadn’t been along too. Daddy made up a plate and gave it to me.

He talked to Amy. They talked about the club, and what they had seen last night. Daddy glanced my way. Then he shook his head.

Amy peeked back at me, and then she changed the topic. She could talk about anything.

I had already finished, and Daddy was laying on the blanket with one arm propping up his upper body. He reached out to Amy and petted her cheek again. He looked very in love.

“May I pick some flowers, Daddy?” I asked as sweetly as I could. This way they could be alone for a bit.

“Sure, Princess, just stay where I can see you.”

I nodded and took off. I picked a couple close by, but when I looked back, they were kissing. Daddy had his hand on the back of Amy’s head, and he was holding her tightly.

I was the third wheel on the wagon.

They obviously didn’t need me around. I moved further away. I kept on going, thinking about what a strange life I led.

Was I going to ruin Daddy’s chance to find happiness, or would he realize that I was causing problems and get rid of me?

Rick had said the only way to get rid of me was to sell me. My new owner would expect different things from me. I still didn’t have any sexual needs. I doubted that I ever would. I was ripe for a convent.

Daddy probably wouldn’t get rid of me. He would keep me and let me ruin his life.

Maybe, if we spoke about all of this openly, I could tell him what kind of a new master I wanted.

But I wanted one exactly like him. I wanted him.

“Becky!” Daddy grabbed onto my arm. “I told you to stay where I could see you.” He was pulling me over to a group of rocks. He unbuttoned my riding trousers and then pulled them down along with my underwear.

As always, I landed over his knees in seconds. He was hitting so hard, and it had been so long since the last one, so I wasn’t used to it anymore.

“I was very clear that you were to stay where I could see you.” He smacked my bottom with each word. “If you thought that you don’t have to listen to me, just because we have a guest, you’ve got another guess coming.

“I’m sorry, Daddy.” The flowers I had picked had long since fallen out of my hands. I worried about Amy seeing me like this.

Daddy smacked on and on until I didn’t even care about Amy anymore. I was just crying. Daddy moved me to my feet. I was sniffling and crying, and my mouth was drawn down into a heavy frown. I had meant well, but he didn’t see it that way. I was very sad.

“Pull up your pants. We’re going home now.” He was still very mad at me. He waited for me to finish. Then he grabbed me by my hand and pulled me back to Amy.

Amy wasn’t meeting my eye. She was helping Daddy pack up.

Daddy brought me to my horse and helped me up. “And I don’t want to hear any complaining about your backside while we ride. Think of it as a reminder.” He was still mad. He usually never was after a spanking.

I was quiet the whole way home. I had my head hung, ashamed of myself.

“Amy, go into the study for a bit. I have to talk to my daughter.” He grabbed me by my forearm and led me up the stairs. He held me tightly until he got to my room. “Nanny, leave us.” She did right away. She had been setting out my clothes for this evening.

As soon as she was gone, Daddy pulled me close to him. He had me by both of my forearms, and he was squeezing firmly. “I’ve had enough of your jealousies.”

“I wasn’t jealous Daddy, honest. I only thought that maybe you two wanted to have a moment without me.” I looked into his eyes, but I saw that my words were only making him madder.

“I was clear what I wanted, but if it is attention that you have been missing, I’ll give you attention.” He opened my trousers again and pulled them down. He sat on my bed and went at me in earnest. I was crying uncontrollably by the time he stopped. I could feel that he was still mad at me.

“Stay in your room. I don’t
want to see you again today.” He slammed the door and left.

Nanny came in a few minutes later. She wiped my face clean and changed me for bed. She didn’t say much, and I didn’t say anything at all.

I was still sobbing when she closed the drapes and left.

Now, at the latest, Daddy would be realizing that he had started something with me that he couldn’t finish.

Today was Monday, the cook’s day off. We were on our way to the country club. Amy was sitting up front with Daddy, and I was in the back seat. That pretty much described the way that Daddy had been treating me lately.

He was still mad at me.

I was doing my best to be extra good, but Amy rarely talked to me. So I couldn’t prove how cool I was with the whole situation.

I was surprised that Daddy took me by the arm as we went in, but then it hit me. He needed me with as his girl, so he could take Amy along too, as his friend.

People thought I was his girlfriend, so he had to play along with that.

If I had pulled something like that, I would have gotten a spanking. I wasn’t allowed to pretend to be something I wasn’t, but Daddy was.

He sat me down, and then he turned his attention to Amy.

“Can I have the fish, Daddy?”

“Sure, Princess.” He didn’t even look at me as he answered.

I sat there quietly as they talked and laughed. I tried to join in with them, but they talked about things that they had done without me.

I was probably already in trouble. I felt like I could burst out into tears at any time. I was being falsely accused and put into a position where I couldn’t get out of it.

“I have an announcement. It’s pretty big news.” Daddy was beaming, and I could only guess that they had marriage in mind.

I looked at Amy who looked surprised too. Was Daddy going to propose to her right in front of me? I would have thought he would have more tactfulness.

“I’ve been working on getting a major contract with a European company, and today we signed the contracts. They chose our company.” He glanced at me as he said that.
