Forever Yours

Our pants grew faster and were replaced by groans and whimpers as the pace of our bodies increased with our desires. Joe hung his head into the crux of my neck as he fought his release to wait for me. He didn’t need to wait long before I met him there, my body highly trained to please him, so in tune with his that our release was insanely perfect like a synchronised explosion of nirvana, making us both growl and moan with the intensity of it all.
After riding the sensations and draining each other of the passion we craved, we lay still in each other’s arms. Our breathing slowing down to a steady rhythm and our arms holding the other as if we both needed that life line, the connection. We gently stroked, nuzzled and kissed each other until we both fell into another sated sleep.
That was how the rest of the night went, we napped then awoke each other for hard and fast or slow and sensual sex, whatever our bodies craved at the time. By morning I felt sore but satisfied and totally oblivious to anything else but the incredibly erotic kingdom of Joe that he’d created in my room last night. I had no idea if Robyn had come home, I hadn’t heard the door go, I hadn’t heard anything else but us.
I turned to look at Joe lying next to me in the bed. He was wide awake and watching me, his head resting on his arm.
“You are the cutest thing ever when you’re asleep.” He smiled. “You know you snore right?”
I gave him a playful swipe with my free arm and he laughed and rolled backwards.
“I’m kidding, you’re as quiet as a mouse. With an occasional little sigh or whimper that is. It’s cute though.” He rolled back over to whisper in my ear. “And a fucking turn on listening to your little sexy gasps in your sleep. Do you dream about me?”
I bit my lower lip and narrowed my eyes at him.
“Always.” I sighed and he brushed his lips against mine.
Suddenly he jumped up out of the bed, the view of him gloriously naked made me flicker and stir again, ready for another round of pleasure. I sighed and moaned lightly and he chuckled.
“You are insatiable woman.”
He picked his discarded jeans up and reached into the front pocket, then he looked over at me with a huge grin on his sexy roguish face.
“Come on my sleepy sex kitten, get up I need to do something very very important.” He said holding out his hand to me and pulling me out of the bed to stand in front of him. I pressed my naked front to him, my boobs gently rubbing against his warm hard chest and his cock stirred.
“Focus Ella, we can do that again in a while okay, I need to do this first.” He teased gently standing me back a few inches away from him and giving me a sultry look whilst narrowing his eyes provocatively at me. How was a girl supposed to resist that?
He took a deep breath and dipped his head to look right into my eyes. He meant business this morning.
“I’ve had this on me for months now, I always said I’d hold onto it for you but I can’t hold it anymore.”
He knelt down right in front of me and I laughed at how ridiculous we both must have looked at that moment, stark naked with him on one knee.
“Ella, I love you with all my heart. I’ve met enough women in my life to know that you are truly something special and I never want to be apart from you ever again. You are my soul mate, the love of my life. I want to shout from the rooftops to anyone who will listen that you are mine forever. I’ve done this before but today is the last time you will be getting a proposal lady, because after everything we’ve been through we deserve our happy ever after. So, Ella Elizabeth Reid please say you’ll marry me?”
He held out the velvet box that I recognised held my engagement ring. I couldn’t reply fast enough.
“Hell yes!” I said jumping on him in a hug and making him fall backwards. We rolled on the floor like a couple of kids giggling and kissing, then he broke away and opened the box, took my ring out and put it on my left ring finger.
“That ring is never coming off, is that understood?” He glared at me dominantly.
“Yes, not coming off look.” I said pretending to pull it off and showing that it was stuck and staying in place.
He laughed and slapped my ass.
“Now go fetch us coffee woman I need caffeine before we do anything else this morning.
“Bossy much!” I replied. “I hope you don’t expect me to jump to your orders when we’re married?” I huffed.
“Like I could ever tell you what to do. More like the other way round. You’ll be the one giving orders, you always have been in control of me Ella, you just didn’t realise.”
I grabbed Joe’s hoody from the floor and pulled it over my head, the intoxicating smell of him enveloped me as I waltzed out of my bedroom on cloud nine and down the stairs into the kitchen to make coffee.
“Morning!” Robyn grinned at me from the corner of the kitchen making me jump straight out of my skin.
“Shit!... I didn’t see you there… Morning. Did you have a good night last night?” I asked sheepishly.
“I stayed at home in the end, couldn’t be bothered to get ready.”
My eyes went wide, good job I had my back to her right now as I switched the kettle on, my face had gone as red as a beetroot.
“So… it must have been a good date judging from the amount of head board banging I heard last night.” Robyn chuckled, “Jeez Ella, I think you went for the record last night. Poor guy must be worn out up there.”
I was about to protest my innocence when a deep American voice behind me said, “Oh I’m just fine, I’m used to her demands now.”
Robyn gasped, “Shit…I didn’t expect this outcome this morning.” I turned to face her, an apologetic expression on my face. “So the date was a wash out then?”
Robyn and I both burst out laughing as a shirtless, jeans clad Joe hugged me from behind and smiled.
“You could say that. Good job I found this loser on the doorstep. He kept me entertained.”
“You and the neighbours Ella!”
I blushed for the second time in two minutes and she shook her head.
“Don’t panic I have industrial strength ear plugs and boy did they come in useful last night. So I take it you got your head out of your ass Joe and everything is back on track now with you two?”
“Sure is.” he smiled a smug gorgeous smile.
“I hope you’re gonna be less of an ass this time round.” Robyn stated.
I gasped but Joe gave the perfect response. “Don’t worry, it’s her bed I’ll be breaking not her heart.”
I giggled at his cheekiness and I held up my finger to show her my sparkling rock.
“Shut the front door, is that what I think it is?”
“Yes.” We both replied, then Joe added.
“This time she’s not wriggling out of it either. She’s already missed one wedding date, the next one she better keep.”
I cupped his chin and kissed him, “Of course I will. Who else is gonna keep you in check?”
Robyn breezed past us whistling, “I’m out from midday so make as much noise as you like, but remember Mrs P next door has a pacemaker fitted so don’t get too rowdy kids okay?” Then skipped out of the door cackling.
I looked up at Joe questioningly, “So how long an engagement were you planning on us having?”
“Three months tops.” He replied confidently and smacked my ass teasingly. “And that’s pushing it. Sooner if I can arrange it.”
I shrugged. This time I was more than happy to go with the flow. Everything felt different now, I felt more relaxed, more sure of us.
“Cool.” I smiled and he raised an eye brow at me.
“Well that was easier than I expected.”
“You’ve made me wait too long Mr, no more games.”
“Definitely. Does that mean I can tell people this time?”
“Yes.” I was beaming up at him now. I planted a kiss on his lips and slapped his ass back for good measure.
“Excellent, I’ll ring Max, then I’ll get onto my staff at the club
and get the ball rolling.”
“Oh and one more thing.” I added. “Please sort out this whole stalker problem, ring the police or get better security. The whole brake cutting thing freaked me out Joe, I can’t lose you, not like that. Promise me it stops now.” I felt anxious and desperate for an end to all the drama. We deserved a quiet happy life.
“I’m on it Ella, it’s nothing you need to worry about I promise angel.” And he kissed me tenderly on the lips sending me straight back to Joe’s Kingdom where there were no worries at all only pure lust, seduction and ecstasy.

Monday morning I danced into the office feeling like a giddy little girl, I couldn’t keep the smug smile off my face, and I couldn’t stop glancing down at the rock on my left finger.
“Morning petal…Good lord, what do we have here then? Been busy this weekend I see?” Frank said holding my hand up to inspect my ring.
“I had a wonderful weekend. I got engaged.” I admitted shyly.
“I didn’t even know you were seeing any one Ella, but I’m so pleased for you.” Frank said affectionately grabbing me in a big bear hug. “Congratulations, and who is the lucky young man dare I ask? Do I know him?”
I bit my lower lip, not entirely sure how he would take the news.
“Yes you know him, It’s Joe, Joe Madden. We’ve been seeing each other…for a bit now.”
His eyes grew wide in shock.
“I had absolutely no idea! How on earth did you keep that quiet petal? You’re a sneaky one aren’t you! I hope he’s treating you well.” He narrowed his gaze at me like a concerned Father.
“He’s the best, honestly. The grumpy persona is just for show, he’s a big softie at heart. I love him.”
“Ah that warms my heart that does Ella.” He grinned. “I wish you both all the happiness in the world. You deserve it.”
I smiled warmly back at him then made my way to my desk. Colin was wearing his best moody Monday expression and glaring daggers at me.
“Please tell me I just heard that all wrong. You’ve actually gone back to the cheating, lying, smug bastard?”
“Not that it’s any of your business Colin, but he isn’t a cheat and yes we are back together.” I turned my computer on and slumped down in my chair so I didn’t have to look at his scowling face. I didn’t want his grey clouds dampening my excellent mood today.
“Morning bride to be.” Sang Chris excitedly. I had told him and Ed our news over the weekend, and he was beyond excited to be involved in the wedding. He had appointed himself my head stylist and wedding dress shopping assistant. If he had his way I would be floating down the aisle with love birds and swans surrounding me and angels with harps announcing my arrival.
I opened my work emails to find an early morning message from Joe.

Ellie Goulding – How Long Will I Love You?
Your Ella xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I loved our little email and you tube video exchanges. I’d missed them when we were apart, but it felt nice to add some new tunes to my ‘Joe and me’ playlist for when I was feeling sentimental and missing him. I wondered if he did the same.

P.S When am I meeting your Nan??
Holy crap, I hadn’t thought about my Nanna, but he was right, he’d have to meet her sooner rather than later. Problem was I had absolutely no idea what Nan would make of Joe. Would she like him or kick him out within the first five minutes of meeting him? I couldn’t second guess it. I couldn’t avoid it forever though so I emailed Joe back.

Title: Anytime…
You can meet her whenever you’re free. Just give me a date and I’ll make it work. We’ll have to travel to her though, she refuses to come to the city.
Your Ella (infinite kisses whenever and wherever, now let me get on with some work xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
Over a few more emails we decided we’d head down to see her on the weekend, and I gave her a quick ring to make sure she wasn’t off doing some sky diving course or making Sunday lunch for the entire village the coming weekend. She was so happy to hear from me and started telling me all about the local gossip, totally oblivious to the fact I was at work and couldn’t chat so freely. I cut her off halfway through a blow by blow account of Audrey’s latest bunion operation and told her she should hold off on telling me all her news so we’d have something to talk about when I saw her on Saturday at lunchtime. I also told her I wouldn’t be alone, that I was bringing a ‘friend’, but I left it at that. I didn’t want to give her days to scheme and form a plan of attack on Joe when she met him. If she knew he was coming she’d have invited her core group of friends around to interrogate him, probably have a bank of ridiculous questions at the ready, and a whole heap of tasks for him to do to prove he was worthy of her granddaughter. If I knew one thing it was that Joe was not a hoop jumping kind of guy. I had to tread lightly where they were both concerned because both were volatile, feisty characters and both of them were insanely protective of me. Oh Lord, this was going to be a weekend from hell if I wasn’t careful, I thought.

When Saturday morning came we loaded up Joe’s Range Rover ready with our supplies for the long trip and headed off to the motorway that would lead us to my Nanna Jean’s. I was so nervous I couldn’t stop fidgeting as we drove in the fast lane speeding towards a weekend of doom. Joe reached over and took my hand as I was shredding a tissue into a million pieces into my lap.
“You’re nervous angel, why? I won’t embarrass you I promise.”
He had a cheeky grin, but he sighed when he saw I didn’t respond and kept my head down and my face neutral. I glanced out of the window to avoid looking at him.
“She’s not a push over you know. My Nanna is a hard nut to crack sometimes.”
“Older ladies love me…” I turned to face him at that little confession, my eye brows raised to mock him.
“…I mean Grandma’s love me, I’ll have her eating out of my hands in minutes you’ll see.”
I shook my head and laughed.
“Nan hasn’t eaten out of anyone’s hands ever, not even Granddad’s; so I wouldn’t count your eggs just yet Joe.”
He wasn’t listening though, his confidence was way off the charts as always. The idea that a female might not like him was a foreign concept. I thought it best to remind him of a few things.
“You remember when we first met? How much I hated you?”
He threw his head back laughing.
“You pretended to hate me, I saw through it all along.”
“Oh really!” I chuckled. “Funny, because I remember it very differently. You were an asshole and I hated you. End of.”
“Okay, okay, I get your point you hated me. Why are you reminding me of this now?” He said turning to look my way as he drove.
“Because M
r ‘I’m every Grandma’s dream man’, I got my attitude from my Nan, and the way I was back then is nothing compared to how she can be. She once scared an ex-boyfriend so much he’d refuse to call for me. My Granddad had to drive me over to his every time we met up. He went into a panic attack if he got within fifty feet of our cottage. Mind you Nanna chased him off with a sawn off shot gun when she caught him sitting on our sofa watching a movie with me when I was fifteen. He was only putting his arm around me. She fired blanks at him and everything. Poor guy ended up with anxiety issues. I still see him sometimes in the village when I visit Nan, he totally blanks me and walks the other way”
Joe thought my story was highly amusing.
“It’s not funny, she ruined my love life completely when I was a teenager. You’ll see why I left and moved to the city to attend college and university. If I hadn’t I’d be married to…” I stopped myself realising, my mouth was running away with me.
“…You’d be married to the local doctor who has zero personality and zero sex appeal. Am I right?”
I huffed but smiled.
“I guess. Listen, if she gives you a hard time, it’s because that’s just what she does. Don’t try too hard and don’t take anything personally okay?”
He smiled over at me and squeezed my hand.
“Ella, you’re forgetting who I am. I’m the man everybody loves to hate. The fact I got you to love me is a miracle. I still have to pinch myself to believe that one’s true to be honest. I’m no stranger to hostility, I can take it. This weekend is a chance for me to meet your Nanna Jean so she knows who’ll be standing at the end of the aisle when we get married. Whatever she thinks of me doesn’t bother me in the slightest. It would be nice if she liked me, but if she hates me, that won’t change the fact that I’m still going to marry you, okay?”
