Davies, Corinne - Claiming Destiny [Midnighter Seductions 1] (Siren Publishing Ménage Everlasting)
Page 16
A pang of disappointment hit him at their failure to attract Destiny’s attentions at the oot-ak the day before. He and his fellow Midnighters knew that their Nohchils had already claimed her heart, but he wanted to feel that connection they had. When she, Rock, and Jag saw him and Wolfe off this morning he’d felt the peaceful calm surrounding the trio and couldn’t be happy for them. Destiny had been bubbling with excitement over the bonding marks that had appeared on her arms and shoulders during the ceremony. They were a beautiful addition to her skin and made him long to see his markings on his own Atan.
It was then he’d learned that Blade and Thunder had come back across last night instead of indulging in the willing bodies of the Raxka. Blade spent less and less time in the baths. While the Raxka didn’t completely ignore the big man, Falcon had noticed they didn’t approach him with the boldness they did with the other Midnighters and he wondered what else was going on.
The low rumble of a vehicle alerted him to Blade’s approach. Falcon was looking forward to getting to know this world a bit more, but he wanted to find an Atan. A sense of anticipation shimmered in the air around him and set his nerves jumping. Something was going to happen, and he hoped it had more to do with soft curves and beautiful eyes than the rank evil that stalked the shadows.
