  Discussion Questions

.What were the main themes you saw in The Pages of Her Life?

.Which of the main characters could you relate to more? Allison or Parker? What parts of Allison or Parker did you relate to?

.Have you ever had to work for a boss like Derrek? Talk about that experience. What did you learn from it? How did it affect you?

.Often when we feel disrespected and treated poorly, we are either aggressive (which we saw in Parker), or we act passively (as we saw in Allison). Which do you do tend to do more?

.Have you ever had a situation like Allison did when God led you into a spot where you thought things were going to be wonderful, but they turned out horrible? In the end, did you realize God did it because he wanted to help you go through significant change that would set you free? How did the experience change you?

.At the end of the story, Allison decides to stand up for herself like never before. Have there been times you’ve stood up for yourself when it was difficult to do so?

.Are there areas of your life where you know you need to stand up for yourself but you haven’t yet? What are they?

.Do you write in a journal? If yes, how does that help you sort out your life?

.When did you figure out that Richard was an angel and the one who was changing the writing in the journal?

.For those of you who have read the novel Rooms, when did you figure out Richard and Rick were the same person?

.Did it surprise you that Richard and Abe were the same person?

.When you grew up, did you face a situation like Allison and Parker did where you felt one of your parents liked your siblings better than you? If yes, how did you respond to that? How does it affect your life now?

.Are there areas of your life where you realize you need to be truer to yourself?

.Have you ever considered the idea that having integrity can sometimes mean speaking up for yourself when it would be easier to stay silent?

.For Allison, standing up for others was much easier than standing up for herself. Do you agree?

.On the boat, rescuing Logan gave Parker the chance to discover who he truly was. Have you ever had a moment like that? What did you discover about yourself?

.What are the “dry bones” in your life you need to speak to?
