“Early Fall?”
“Really early. Maybe even late August while it’s still warm.”
“That should be early enough. Your brother’s wife has been so sweet. She’s been messaging me every day about possible venues and time frames. I do like a lot of her location choices, but I was thinking that we could have it here. We have enough land. It would be easy to set up and we wouldn’t have to travel anywhere.”
“Don’t let her drive you crazy like my brother did,” he warns. “This is your wedding, not hers. Those two think they’re just trying to help, but they can be very controlling. It’s annoying, but it’s family.”
“There’s always one of two family members who have to stick their nose in everyone else’s business. It’s to be expected. They’re just excited. But, if they get too demanding I’ll just go Bridezilla on them.” I arch a brow before reaching for my coffee. It’s our first morning together since the engagement, but I think we’ll end up spending every morning like this.
“Bridezilla? I don’t think I even want to know what that means.”
“Just hope I don’t have to do it. I’m pretty good with nicely telling someone to knock it off. I don’t think we’ll have any problems with them. Are you okay with having it outside?” I ask.
“I don’t care where we hold it as long as I get to marry you,” he says with a smile. “Whatever makes you happy will make me happy.”
“Good, because I want you to wear a neon orange suit.”
“What?” His eyes widen.
“I’m kidding.”
“Now you’re in trouble!” He jumps up and scoops me into his arms. I shriek as he carries me over the threshold in our home.
“Put me down.”
“Oh, I will.”
I shiver at the husky tone in his voice. I know what that means.
He lays me on the bed and starts unbuttoning my shirt. As each button exposes another inch of skin, he kisses the spot before moving on. He has the sexiest ways of getting me naked. And I’ll admit, it doesn’t take much. I can’t wait to make love to him again and again. Now that he’s not afraid of falling in love, he’s become insatiable.
I smile as he unbuttons my jeans. He bites his bottom lip as he tugs my pants free. His eyes shimmer with desire. I’ve never felt so wanted, so loved. I never thought I’d find my perfect mate, but I did. I couldn’t be happier.
My bear is beside herself with joy. We’ve shifted a few times since getting home. His bear is a little brat. We’ve been back to his brother’s house to steal more honey and we almost got caught once. I’m pretty sure his brother knows we’re the bears behind the honey heist, but he hasn’t said anything outright. I think he’s just happy that Jagger’s finally found his mate.
“You know what I’m looking forward to the most on our wedding day?”
“What?”
“Our wedding night.”
I laugh and help him strip naked. When we’re done, he kisses the bare flesh above my panties before nibbling his way up my body.
Skin to skin, we slip into an intimate embrace. His hard muscles press against my soft curves. We melt into a sultry kiss that lasts forever. When he finally pulls away, he lays me down on our bed. I sink into the sheets. His lingering gaze sweeps across my body.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmurs.
“I love you.”
“I love you too. Forever.”
He sweeps me up into a dance of ecstasy. Balmy heat radiates out from my core. His tongue is electric against my throat. His gentle hands, a heady remainder of how much he cares about me.
I never thought I’d find love by going through a matchmaker, but I have. It’s everything I wanted and more. I’ve already called Gerri several times to thank her. She can’t wait until the wedding, and neither can I. But until then, I intend to spend every minute of every day in the arms of the man that I love.
