The two men sighed in relief. They were glad to see Vaeludar back again. Amazingly, he seemed to have journeyed to the unknown regions of the north and traveled back. Alongside him, Marina, who seemed to have dramatically changed as well, and Naìra came running in between them.

“Father!” shouted Naìra. The little girl ran toward to her father. Geraldus gasped and embraced his daughter. She was crying with tears of joy, happy to see her father again if she had been gone for years.

“You’re back? What happened to you?” asked Geraldus.

“I’ll show you,” answered Vaeludar. The hybrid pointed an index finger on the side of his head. With a wave of his finger, a slimy, glowing liquid emerged from behind his hair and floated from his finger. “Let me show you what happened when I traveled north, with this memory charm.” The liquid Vaeludar was casting from his head was a memory spell, a substance to share memories with other people.

The liquid dissolved into a fog-like cloud. Through the fog, images of Vaeludar’s travels to the north were shown. Finding the wolves that turned to a White Knight, witches and the piper who captured Naìra, traveling in a boat through a swamp, gazing upon black mountains and a village living in fear, finding a White Knight of Charity in the Lost Castle, finding the Crystal Armor hand in a cave and collapsing, and the battle with a Five-Headed Dragon and the deaths of the witches and the White Knight of Charity were all shown in the memory cloud, ending with Vaeludar and Marina confessing their ultimate love for each other.

“And that is what happened when I traveled and battled against forces, even asking Marina to marry me in a few months’ time,” concluded Vaeludar.

King Uragiru and Geraldus stood silently, as the memory cloud dispersed into the air. Both men were amazed to see these events happening. Vaeludar only showed what he considered the most important part of the journey, and left out a few unwanted events such as Marina doing away with two of the witches as he killed the last two.

“Yes, I am going to marry Marina,” stated Vaeludar, pointing at the beautiful sapphire neckless around the Siren’s neck. “And the next armor artifact is in the Green—”

“THERE HE IS!” shouted a female voice.

Vaeludar grunted softly, an interruption from a certain princess a definite annoyance.

Princess Stephane came walking fast to the hybrid. The princess of royalty swept across the yard, very eager to see the hybrid return.

Suddenly, Marina stood in front of Stephane and pulled Vaeludar kissed him hastily, showing Princess Stephane that Vaeludar has already taken by another woman. Marina’s sudden move shocked the girl and stopped her in her tracks.

Vaeludar knew Marina was going to do a sudden move and he too showed the princess something of his own; as Marina was kissing Vaeludar, Vaeludar held Marina in his arms and used his wings to soar into the sky, showing everybody this hybrid was in love with a different species. After showing a small romantic moment with the Siren, Vaeludar drifted to the ground.

Marina turned away from the hybrid and looked at the shocked princess.

  “Marina?” said the princess.

“I’m sorry, my friend, but Vaeludar is mine. He already asked me to marry him, and I accepted. Nobody else was going to have him.”

“It is true,” Vaeludar confirmed. “I am going to marry Marina, and I’ll have no other women but Marina. This Siren is now my future wife. Winter is right around the corner, and when spring sprouts, Marina and I will become one for life.”

The princess looked greatly depressed and shocked. She seemed like she needed Vaeludar for herself, but the princess wasn’t accepting the fact that Vaeludar was going to be part of someone else’s life, especially a fish-like human.

“Father, say something about this!” complained Stephanie.

King Uragiru remained calm as his daughter complained like a spoiled child. “I wish well for the two’s happiness and their future,” he said, happily.

  “What!?”

“You heard him,” said Vaeludar, slyly. “I have something to say as well: I don’t deserve you, princess! Marina is meant for me, and I am meant for her. As long as I live, I will always love Marina, and you can be tenth rate.”

This statement caused Stephanie to stomp away from the group. Naìra giggled, and everyone seemed to be happy, except for the stumped princess.

“Now, I’ll tell you where the next armor is,” said Vaeludar.

“Where is it?” asked King Uragiru.

“It is in the Greenwood Forest,” answered Vaeludar.
