“How long did you live with her.”

“From twelve to eighteen,” he said. “She said I could stay longer, but only if I went to school. I wasn’t about that life… at least not yet, so I moved into the cabin.”

  “Do you talk to her?”

“Yeah. We try and have dinner once a month.”

  “Really?”

“No,” he said with a chuckle. “There’s no bad blood, we just went our separate ways. She still sends me a card at Christmas and on my birthday, but she moved to Montana shortly after I married Morgan, so it was a natural separation. She’s good people.”

“You mentioned school. Did you ever go?”

“Yep. Got a degree in business, but only after Orion was born and I realized if I didn’t want to lose my shirt with the pot shit, I was gonna need to know how to run it.”

“Wow,” I whispered. “You’re kind of a badass.”

“Necessity is the mother of invention,” he countered. “And I like money.”

I smiled. “I do, too,” I admitted. “It gives you options.”

  “Fuck, yeah, it does.”

“Okay, I’m good,” I said, sliding off the barstool.

“You’re good?” he asked, his beer halfway to his mouth.

“Yes. Now I want your dick. Remember when you said it was at my disposal?”

  “Ah, yeah.”

“Well, I want to dispose of it. Wait, no, that didn’t sound right.”

Sundance laughed. “You’re not gonna let me eat, are you?”

“You’ve eaten two containers of broccoli beef and one of noodles, not to mention all the rice,” I pointed out. “How much more food do you need?”

“I wanna carb load for the workout I’m obviously gonna get tonight.”

I shivered. “You better not be making me promises you don’t intend on keeping.”

He raised an eyebrow. “Have I ever not delivered?”

  “Nope.”

  “You done with your questions?”

“For now,” I said. “I reserve the right to ask more in the future, though.”

“You can ask me anything, Wyatt. But only when we’re alone, got it?”

I rolled my eyes. “Yes, I get it.”

  “You sassin’ me?”

“Depends,” I said. “Do I get spanked if I am?”

He grinned, sliding off his stool. “I got a few ideas and they’ll end up with your ass red, so you decide how far you want to push it.”

“Mmm, I like that. What did you bring in your bag of tricks?” I asked, nodding toward the backpack propped up against my sofa.

He gently gripped my chin. “Go get naked, Dimples. I want you on your bed on all-fours before I get there. We’re not usin’ condoms.”

My breath hitched as I nodded, turning on my heel and making a mad rush for my bedroom. I’d never stripped so fast in all my life, after brushing my teeth, then pulling my bedding down and assuming the position.

Sundance joined me about a minute later and my body thrummed with need. I could hear the metal of his belt clink as his jeans hit the floor and my pussy contracted with need.

“You ready to play?” he asked, kneeling behind me.

  “God, yes.”

His fingers slid inside of me, sweeping my walls, and I mewed with need. I pressed back against him as he pumped them into me briefly, before pulling his fingers out, replacing them with something much smaller.

I almost objected, but then it began to buzz, and I couldn’t stop a growl as he moved it against my already soaked pussy, then pressed it against the tightness of my ass. “You trust me?”

“Yes,” I hissed, and he slid the vibrator into me as his dick pressed into my pussy.

  I came.

  Instantly.

I cried out as the climax washed over me, but he continued to move and built another orgasm in me as he fucked me like I’d never been fucked before.

Then, suddenly the vibrator was gone, and he was gripping my hips, slamming into me harder and harder with each thrust.

“Now,” I screamed, and let myself go, falling onto my stomach as he continued to bury himself deep.

He let out a quiet grunt, then his body stilled as his dick pulsed inside of me, and he rolled us onto our sides in spoon formation, keeping us connected. “Jesus, I missed you.”

  “Same, honey.”

“Your tits are bigger,” he mused.

“I told you about the Wavy Lay’s diet, right?”

He chuckled. “You gonna marry me?”

“Are you seriously asking?” I craned my neck, and he kissed me gently.

  “Yeah.”

“What happened to you never marrying again?” I asked.

  “You happened.”

“I need to look at you.”

“Let me clean you up real quick,” he said, sliding out of me and heading to the bathroom. I rolled to face him just as he returned with a warm washcloth and settled it between my legs.

He stretched out beside me and pulled me onto his chest. “Marry me.”

  “Are you sure?”

“Baby, I wouldn’t ask you if I wasn’t sure.” He gave me a squeeze. “But you need to make sure you’re sure, because divorce isn’t an option.”

  “What about Teddy?”

  “What about him?”

“What if I want him to live with us?”

He shrugged. “Then he’ll live with us.”

  “Seriously?”

“Yeah, Dimples. We can build a home on club land that’ll accommodate all of us.”

  “You can make that decision?”

He smiled. “I own it, so fuck, yes I can.”

  “You own it?”

“Yeah. Morgan inherited it from her pops when he died, and I inherited it… well, after.”

I bit my lip. “You don’t think this is fast?”

“No, I don’t. We can wait to get married, for a little while anyway, but I want this to be official and I want you to know I’m committed.”

  “Then, yes.”

He kissed me. “We’ll go pick out a ring on Saturday.”

“I’ve met Drake once, honey. Maybe we wait on the ring until your kids get to know me more.”

He rolled me onto my back. “My kids know.”

  “What?” I rasped.

“I talked to them last week.”

“Oh, my god, you did not.” I scrambled up onto my knees. “Why would you do that?”

He raised an eyebrow. “Why are you freakin’ out?”

“Because you have children, Thorne. Children who are still at home. They lost their mom and now you’re talking to them about bringing a woman into their lives after less than three months of knowing her.”

“Baby, their mom died ten years ago. I have never brought another woman into the club, let alone their lives, so they’ve been curious about you. Letti and Drake also look to their older brother about pretty much everything, and Orion adores you, so they’re following suit.”

“Well, we need to put the brakes on this.”

He sat up, sliding his hand to my neck. “We’re not stoppin’ shit.”

  “This is all too fast.”

  “Bullshit.”

I threw my hands up in frustration. “Why is it bullshit?”

“Because that’s your fear talkin’. We’re not runnin’ to the courthouse and elopin’, we’re making a commitment and moving forward based on that commitment.”

He had a point, but that didn’t fully make me feel better.

“I want to wait to make any grand gestures, at least publicly, okay?”

  He smiled. “Whatever you need.”

“That was too easy,” I accused.

“I told you I was gonna give you easy.”

“No, you said I was going to sleep better, you never promised easy.”

He laughed, pulling me back against his chest and stretching out on the bed again. “I’m gonna try and give you easy sometimes.”

  I sl
id my arm over his belly. “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

His phone buzzed on the nightstand and he grabbed it and glanced at the screen before setting it back.

  “Everything okay?”

“Yeah,” he said, kissing my temple. “Gonna have to leave you in a bit, though.”

“Oh, I see how it is. Wham bam, thank you, ma’am.”

He grinned, giving me a squeeze. “You want me to come back after I take care of this shit, I’ll wham bam you for hours.”

  “What about the thank you?”

He rolled me onto my back and kissed me. “You’ll be the one thanking me.”

I stroked his beard. “I would very much like you to come back.”

  “It might be late.”

  “I’ll be up.”

“You’re supposed to be sleeping, remember?”

I smiled. “I’ll take tomorrow off. We can stay in bed all day.”

  “No shit?”

“I have no meetings tomorrow and everything else can wait a day, so, yes. If you want to join me for naked Tuesday, then let’s do it.”

  He grinned. “I’m in.”

“I’ll run to the store and stock up on a few things.”

He shook his head, kissing me again and sliding off the bed. “I’ll send a recruit. Text me a list.”

  “I can go.”

He pulled his jeans on and snagged his T-shirt off the floor. “You can also stay here and relax.”

I sat up. “I don’t even know what those words mean.”

He grinned. “Get used to it, baby.”

I slid off the bed and leaned up on my tiptoes to kiss him. “Are you doing anything dangerous?”

  “No.”

I relaxed. “Do you really have to go?”

“Yeah.” He smiled gently. “But I won’t be long.”

I sighed. “Fine. I guess I’ll find some sappy movie and drink a bottle of wine while I wait.”

  “There’s the spirit.”

  “Please ride safely.”

“I will, baby,” he said, and after putting on his boots, he left me.

AFTER SENDING AERO out to shop for groceries, I grabbed a bottle of tequila and a fistful of glasses, then headed down the hall to the war room where Orion and the rest of my officers were already waiting.

“What the fuck’s goin’ on?” Moses asked.

“Snowcone’s actin’ as mole for Zilla,” I said, pouring alcohol into the glasses.

“Jesus,” Orion hissed, grabbing a glass and downing it.

  “You got proof?” Rocky asked.

“Yeah, brother,” I said. “Ruby confirmed it. He’s been fuckin’ Misty for about a year, so he’s playin’ double agent.”

“That’s why Ruby was so freaked,” Wrath deduced, grabbing a glass of tequila.

I nodded and took a shot myself.

  “The fucker’s mine,” Moses growled.

  “Church?” I suggested.

“Yeah. Have Needles on standby, but I want first cut,” Moses said.

  I nodded. “See you Wednesday.”

Moses stalked out of the room and I sighed, turning to Rocky.

“I got it,” he said, and followed.

Moses had brought Snowcone in. He’d been a kid from the streets who trusted Moses… or so we all thought, so I knew Moses was gonna take this harder than any of us.

“I’ll see y’all later,” Wrath said and walked out of the room as Orion closed the distance between him and me.

“You talk to Wyatt?” he asked.

I smiled. “Yeah. She’s all in.”

“Does that mean your sad sack days are done?”

I chuckled. “On the personal side, yeah.”

  “Well, thank Christ,” he retorted.

  “Where’s Violet?”

“With Raquel at our place,” he said. “Scooby’s with them, as is Drake.”

Orion and Raquel had built a home on club land and had moved in not long ago. Luckily, there was enough space for everyone, although, adding a couple of extra bikers to the mix might make things tight.

I nodded. “Okay, I’m gonna swing by then head out to Wyatt’s.”

“You got plans for Aero?” Orion asked as we walked the quarter-mile to his home.

“Not if you need him. He’s runnin’ to the store for a few things, but if you need him, he can be at your place.”

“Yeah, that’d be good. Scooby’s on gate watch tonight.”

  “Right. Yeah, he’s yours.”

Orion pushed open the front door and stepped inside. “It’s me,” he called, disarming the alarm.

“And me,” I said, as my kids and Raquel walked out to the foyer.

“Hi, Daddy.” Letti wrapped her arms around me and squeezed.

Raquel did the same to Orion.

I kissed Violet’s head. “Hey, baby girl.”

“Why am I here?” she asked.

“Can’t tell you that just yet.”

“How long do I have to be on lockdown.”

  “Not sure,” I said.

“I have a girls’ night this weekend.”

  “Aero’ll take you.”

She dropped her head back dramatically. “I don’t want Aero to take me.”

  “Then you won’t go out.”

“This is totally unfair!” she said, throwing her hands in the air.

“You know the drill. If we get shit sorted, I might change my mind.”

“I don’t know why I even bother asking you,” she snapped, and stomped away from me. “I’m a fucking adult.”

  “Baby girl?”

  “What?”

  “Sunday dinner with Wyatt.”

She faced me. “She forgave you?”

“What makes you think she had to forgive me?”

She rolled her eyes. “Because you’ve been so freaking extra over the past few weeks, so I put two and two together.”

I sighed, crossing my arms. “Yeah, she forgave me.”

“Don’t fuck it up, Dad, I like her.”

“I like her, too,” Drake said.

  “So do I.” I grinned.

“Good, we’re all in agreement,” Orion said.

“Dinner Sunday,” I repeated. “Drake, you’re cookin’.”

  “I’ll help,” Violet offered.

“No,” my boys said in unison.

“Both of you can suck it,” she snapped, and I chuckled.

My daughter could do a lot of things, and do them well, but cooking was not one of them.

“Okay, I’m gonna head out,” I said.

“Say hi to Wyatt,” Violet said, hugging me.

  “I will.”

With my kids safe, I made my way back to the cabin, packed an overnight bag and headed to Wyatt’s.

Sundance arrived just as Aero left after delivering way too many groceries for one day. I pulled open the door and was pushed gently up against the wall and kissed so thoroughly, I almost forgot about the ice cream melting on my kitchen counter.

  Almost.

“Hi, honey,” I said, stroking his cheek.

  “Hey, baby.”

“Hold that thought. Need to get a few things in the freezer. Are you hungry?” I asked as I led him into the kitchen. “Aero delivered enough food to feed us for a week.”

Sundance chuckled. “He’s good at following directions. And I’m always hungry.”

“We still have some Chinese. I can heat it up for you.”

“That’d be great, Dimples, thanks. I’ll just drop this stuff in your room.”

I grinned. “I like that, Sunny.”

He closed the distance between us and kissed me again. “Me too, baby.”

He walked down the hall to my room, and I went about warming up food and putting the rest of the groceries away.

Sundance walked back into the kitchen, sliding around me to grab a beer and kissing me before sitting at my island. I slid a plate piled with
whatever Chinese we had left, then grabbed him a pair of chopsticks. “How did your meeting go?”

  “Fine.”

“Are you going to give me more information?”

“You want more information, you need to ask specific questions.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Oh, I see how you’re getting around this now.”

He grinned, shoveling food in his mouth.

I grabbed the family sized bag of Wavy Lay’s and opened it, shoving two chips in my mouth.

Sundance laughed and jabbed his chopsticks at me. “Are you trying to threaten me?”

I shrugged, shoving more chips in my mouth.

“You don’t scare me,” he said. “You can eat the whole fuckin’ bag if you want to.”

“I don’t really want them,” I admitted, closing the bag with a chip clip, then pouring a glass of wine. “I’m just trying to kill time until you stick your dick in me.”

  “Romantic,” he said.

“You ain’t seen nothin’ yet,” I retorted with a grin.

  “You got plans on Sunday?”

“You mean, other than sex with my boyfriend?”

His mouth smirked. “I’m not your boyfriend, baby.”

  “Right. My pseudo-fiancé.”

“You keep goin’ with that, I’m buyin’ you a ring on Saturday.”

I smiled. “You can buy me a ring, honey, I just won’t wear it in public.”

  “Yeah you will.”

  “You can’t make me.”

  “Challenge accepted,” he retorted.

“Sunday, I’m free,” I said. “Saturday, I’m with Teddy.”

“Family dinner at my place on Sunday.”

“Oh, wow,” I rasped, leaning against the island. “That’s… a lot…”

“I told you, my kids are in.”

  “What about Teddy?”

“Baby, you don’t ever have to ask that question. Family means family. He’s family.”

“It’s too much for your kids.”

He set his chopsticks down and wiped his mouth. “We gonna do this right now?”

  “He is a lot—”

“I swear to Christ, woman, I love you, but I’m about to lose my shit.”

I sighed. “You gotta give me a break, Thorne, this is new to me.”

  “What is?”

“Having him accepted as part of the Wyatt package.”

“Come here,” he said, holding his hand out to me.
