The Bullet That Killed The World

There he awoke and sincerely wished I would have.
He opened his eyes, this time for real, and he smiled when he
recognized his room as usual. Instinctively, he looked at the side of the bed, but it was obvious that it had all been a strange dream. When standing, he realized it was a bit wet and checked with two fingers. It took the fluid into the nose and became convinced that moisture that belonged only to her. I smile again.
That dream could be classified as a metaphorical nightmare, but for her, Dr. Rachel Hayes, had been a source of inspiration. He did not give much importance to the routine things, not even brushed his teeth that morning, but left as a dummy wheeled to the laboratory. He worked a few hours, almost eyelids together. I was mesmerized with his new project, which he called finally the capsule Z.
Just as he had envisioned in his dream, he conceived a drug of the same size. The compound was rustic and weak, barely made by a testing machine that only served to draw few samples. And if there was something that could not tilde Rachel, it was to be rustic and, much less weak. In addition, a robotized laboratory needed all because he needed many millions of these capsules. His plan of mass destruction had pierced his brain like the sword in the stone, and was sure to have the support of Miller, so he phoned.
“I just want some conditions before confession of what will my new leap.”
“I have intrigued woman. I do not know if I’m shocked or frightened,” he said nails taking teeth.
“Quiet. Did not you say you’d do anything to be the most powerful man in the world?”
“Tell me what it is.”
“Tell give you the planet!”
“You really call me for that? To tell me that you’ll give me the world when the world itself falls apart we? It’s nice of you, but even our favorite restaurant has electricity, and as things are, ins- tead of dinner, would dine us.”
“Listen, Miller. It is literal. You can be the president of this
country or whatever. You can have the car you want, free to drive without police or laws. You will be the God of all that exists around. But you must follow.”
“Rachel, did you sleep well? You drank? Or worse, a chemical laboratory inhalant?”
“I feel better than ever. We will be just us.” “Rachel, do not tell me?! You have the cure!?” “I got it.”
“Are you sure? Already the you tried? In what time? It’s not possible!”
“Miller, calm down. I am more confident than ever. And my test will be to inject yourself me I have the virus after consuming the capsule.”
“Seriously?”
“Love, I swear, this time we will be heroes.”
He is not contained in his car and went home from Rachel. For a moment, Miller recalled that on the morning news had talked about a new application that detects undead. He took the phone and inquired into the matter. Inadvertently, he paid more attention to the phone and was entrusted by not having lights on traffic or traffic lights. When suddenly ... BANG! The blow was so strong that it shook the car. Because of the sudden stop, the smell of burning tire invaded the field. The owner of Iceberg was troubled. By not paying attention to the road, he ended up running into a person. The subject’s body was about seven meters away. Miller rubbed his elbow he suffered the stroke at impact and narrowed his eyes looking for his glasses. Paul was a big bastard, but some hidden part of his mind made him pity the injured sub- ject and got out. A few steps, he noticed the body to move. He stopped. It did not take long for the creature is out incorporating to show what it was. The blow had sunk her abdomen and also caused a cut which left a piece of intestine. On the other hand, when it hit the pavement, his right arm was picked and was barely
attached by some tissues. To top it off, a spring of black blood came out of his head like a squid had exploded in his brain. nose with his forearm was covered and ran to the car. He stomped the accelerator and this time he intentionally rammed. However, the zombie stood again. It seemed about to break at any time,
“How is it possible that the human body is so strong?”
He questioned without taking his eyes off me. He waited until the zombie stand before the car, dropped his foot off the brake and without much force, pressed the accelerator. Despite the noise of the engine and the air conditioner on, Paul heard how the bones were broken convicted under the tires ...
Rachel waiting in the garden. Often, he looked at his watch questioning why taking so long. Blond hair was so arranged that forbade the wind caresses. He was wearing light blue jeans and a green blouse olive.
Finally, Miller appeared. She smiled at him, but frowned when he realized that this looked at all with parts suspiciously. Also, it took time to close the car door, avoiding the slightest noise.
“Something happens?” He asked puzzled.
“It happens, yes,” he replied in a whisper. “Come in and I’ll explain.”
He took her arm and turned to make sure there were none of those things around.
“Can you tell me what happens?”
“I need an analgesic and an ice pack.”
Rachel was impatient. She had something important to reveal and apparently, he.
“You can speak now? You have me nervous.” “Horrible, what happened to me was horrible.”
Quickly, she searched for traces of blood on his clothes. He
imagined something about zombies. One more reason to con-
vince the mission to wipe mankind from the face of the Earth.
“Of way, I looked away from the street a few seconds. He was about sixty miles. I tried to brake in time, but it was impossible.”
“Tell me that you no killed someone!?”
“Not precisely. The subject was already dead. If you had seen his body color, unkempt and broken in places. I was so surprised I did not notice details. However, when I got up, I found somewhat familiar. I know it’s difficult, because the cadaverous appearance makes them similar physically, but some factions and clothes gave me a clue who he was. I lunged again, and rose again. This time I let him get close enough to look into the background of his eyes; But there was nothing. I noticed other details and could not be- lieve the brush with certainty. Anyway, I was not sure until, with some branches, I managed to get his wallet and watch identifica- tion. I’m sorry, Rachel, but the person I left behind, flattened like a rat in the middle of the street, he went to Dr. Donovan.”
Rachel was shocked by the news.
“Are you sure it was Donovan? My Donovan?”
“I’m sorry, Rachel, I know how you must feel. I even feel sorry for the unfortunate.”
Suddenly, Rachel burst out laughing. Miller looked at her with eyes full unbuttoned. What went through his mind was that nerves had caused a fit of laughter, no doubt, he would replace tears. But it was not like that. In conclusion, Rachel stopped laughing when he said:
“Well, now it’s my turn. I need to reveal something I am con- vinced that only you can understand. I have the perfect plan to get rid of human beings once and for all.”
“What you say, woman? I just said I broke every bone in your husband, and you come to me with a story of the end of the world.”
“Listen, Miller. I do not mean the end of the world; I’m talking about the end of the human species.”
“The news is strong. I know you’ve been through a lot, and now lives with sane people the willies, but...”
“You have no idea what I went through. While you head broke, I looking for ways to generate money, I broke my looking for ways to get rid of the scourge of man. Yes, Miller, I knew that Donovan would be wandering around like one of those things. I am responsible for what he and millions more are transformed into undead.”
“What are you talking? This has to be a joke, or you went crazy
at all.”
“No, dear. I’m not the only one who thinks that the human species is the worst predator that exists in our environment. But I’m the only one bullet that will exterminate once and for all. T
hat is, everyone except our beloved daughter and us.”
“Now I’m worried. When I see that sparkle in your eyes is that you’re serious.”
“I’ve never spoken so seriously. I have in my hands the minor dose capsule containing a virus, and is ready to be manufactured in industrial quantities. I want you to help me convince people that this is the cure for that reach all corners of the globe.”
“I cannot believe what I hear.”
“Well, believe it, and listen well. When all people have turned into zombies will not have to feed on and starve. And you know that among them are not eaten meat for very needy they are. They seek fresh blood and abhor own smell and that of their peers.”
“Since when do you plan this?”
“From my daughter returned from the dead.” “Do not!” He stood with his hands on his head.
“Yes, Miller, Samantha was the first zombie. While you and I were wallowing in bed, drinking champagne across the world, she was in the emergency room Iceberg, receiving a heart that pollute ourselves with bisphenol A.”
“I know this misfortune, but why he returned turned into a
zombie?”
“Donovan and I did everything possible, and even impossible. Finally, his body broke down and we left. The girl kept on life. She was sure to decontaminate, but things did not go well.”
“Rachel, I’m sorry, but you know you cannot heal the dead.”
“I do not know. I freaked. I experienced working day and night with dozens of formulas and molecules to cleanse your body and ended up corrupting their blood. The effect was so lethal that their flesh and hair came off quickly. Still, I did not give up. Do- novan could not deal more with the situation and wanted to turn it off. It was my daughter who was there. she, Miller, my child had no life and seemed to die faster in death itself was as fast as they decompose.”
“But you yourself told me that Donovan had brought Sa- mantha to a safe place until it passed everything.”
“I know, I lied.” She said ran his hands over his face. “When Donovan tried disconnect, reason lost and hit with an aluminum tube head. And then the unexpected happened. Hot and bright red blood that flowed beneath his unconscious body was what woke Samantha.”
“My God, Rachel! However unpleasant it may seem, it makes sense.” He looked a moment reflectively. “Ok, ok. We know where Donovan, but where is your daughter?”
“Our daughter, Miller. I always knew it. But if this relationship depended not bother with that theme, I learned to take care of her with Donovan.”
“Rachel ...”
“Wait, do not interrupt me now. Samantha was not the dau- ghter of Donovan. The proof was that, regain their mobility, pounced on his body and began to tear pieces of flesh with his teeth.”
“My God! What the hell are you telling me?”
“The truth! Every word I say is true!”
“It’s hard to believe, but everything fits.”
“I know, that’s why I wanted to see, I am convinced that only you will be with me when the end comes. We always were the best accomplices. Now we have the world for us.”
“Rachel, wait, it’s too much information. He begins by telling me what happened to Samantha.”
“After a few hours, I returned to the lab, and they were gone. He escaped through a basement window overlooking the street. My daughter I found bound with duct tape. I left free in front of me, and seeing the damage he had done gave me to satiate your appetite with my flesh. But she stroked my hair, Miller. My daughter had the rotten blood, but her feelings were still intact. A recognition pattern found when not hurt me.”
“Rachel, none returns with minimal iota of anything, though
perhaps recognized your scent.”
“And he had thought. As is known, become death with brain injuries that make it difficult speech and motor functions, but the sense of smell and hearing back more developed. His phy- sical change was remarkable and when he was hungry too noisy. I thought the only way to hide my daughter was replicating the virus to divert attention from the city to find a solution.”
“A solution? America must not exist!”
“You’re wrong, America does exist. What does not exist are healthy people who inhabit.”
“Not come with an environmental speech when you just say that strewed the virus so that the new converts unleashed a string of appalling events, where the spread was more effective than any biological pump.”
“I wanted to gain time, Miller. My daughter needs me.”
“Wait to? She is alive? Can you find out where the hell is
Samantha?”
“She is safe”.
“DO NOT! Do not tell me that…”
“Yes, Miller, may sound crazy, but I hope to bring it back to what it was before. Suit each drop of blood from the body. Our daughter is Patient Zero. Here at home, I keep your DNA matrix, the most powerful dark blood there. First zombie blood. We can do this together. You and me.”
This cannot continue. You’re an excellent geneticist, you have the tools to replicate your daughter whenever you want. Why des- troys the species?
“It shows that you were never a father! Feelings do not know or love. A clone? Of course, I can clone whatever! But my dau- ghter is the mark of a life of love with you, asshole. But of course, you alone you are interested in obesity in your bank account! You do not understand it? She rejected my flesh when he awoke from death. In the world there may be thousands of girls who call like her, but my Samantha is unique. If there’s something I’m going to clone his blood it is to clear them all!”
“Of course, she is unique! Go figure!”
“For the last time I ask you, Miller. Do not leave me now.” “No, Rachel. So much for your adventure pollute the world.” “Listen coward! The world was contaminated before Samantha
was born. I got tired of a regulated system. I got tired of people. I hate people. I got tired of seeing men hitting women, women against men humiliated. I got tired of hearing about robberies, murders, missing children, rape, war, conflict. I got tired brain of man, man’s hand, the laws of man. We are the worst kind. We use intelligence to crush us like insects ourselves, and endowed with millionaire stupidity with stupidity manipulate others. And all for money. I got tired of money; shit money buying people. Money is nothing more than a degenerative weapon, money keeps us ens- laved prisoners of constant stress. You have to pay for visiting an island that someone already bought. Who the fuck is people to buy what is not anyone or rather, of all? stupid with so much
money they are negotiating land people on the Moon. Who the fuck is the moon? Those are the islands? No one is superior to anyone. That’s why I love them all with black blood in his veins, to see that we are all equal. The world is shit, and I’ll see to it that smells like it!”
Since he knew I never saw so determined, and that repre- sented a terrible danger. In history it has passed a series of crazy that ended the lives of many people, but this woman spoke of ending the world radically or as she said, exterminate the man for the world to live in peace. Worst of all was that, basically, he was right. However, Miller was not convinced by those words, not by flashes of anger flashed in his eyes when he referred to the disasters caused by man. It is true that I could have all the money in the world, all the cars, being the owner of the land, but if it is not displayed to diversity, its power was zero. Also, it seemed too huge for such a plan would succeed. It was time to give an answer.
“I’m sorry, Rachel. The world is like and you have to adapt, you have to learn to live together. It’s over. Delivery weapons and desist from this madness. If we put an end to this now, it will be easier to repair the damage if you take a next step.”
“Do you think crazy? Do you think I’m crazy?” she said defiantly.
“You already appreciate the consequences of what you in- tend to do? What have you become? You’re not the woman I saw growing up beside me. You are transformed. You know what I think? Only a monster may be ab
le to want to erase the only species of superior intelligence of this planet, and perhaps the whole galaxy.”
“What, Miller? What are you thinking to do? Are you going to leave and you’re going to tell everyone I want you to put in a capsule contaminated throat every inhabitant? Are you going to say I was not able to bring myself to lose my daughter and I made a mistake so often replied that became solution?”
“Slurp told you it’s not the solution! You’re the mistake! No-
thing will serve the achievements of modern medicine. Oh my God! Polluted bodies to put them in healthy people, you lied to your husband’s life, you turned your daughter into a zombie! Worst virus is your insanity! The one you really are rotten.”
It was too much. The owner of Iceberg left disappointed. At first, he thought it was a joke or something like that, but firmness in her words caused her desire to flee, not to see her, to escape the clutches of a woman who had lost her mind.
She was extremely hurt. Hurt by what he had just heard. She felt betrayed, angry. For more insane to be his plan, basically he was convinced that humanity had taken a wrong path. The man did the right thing, and therefore its draft new start was perfect. The frustrated by the fact of being misunderstood. And in those circumstances, it was capable of anything. So, he reached into her purse and, as a sign of destiny, his fingers were positioned co- rrectly in your gun.
He left behind Miller. This just had lowered the stairs from the entrance. She lifted the armed wing, and he turned. They stared at each other for a moment until the silence was broken.
“Is that how it ends our story? Is this how I will die at the hands of the woman I’ve loved since I was a teenager? Is today the end, Rachel? Is this how it ends?”
That was the man she felt was performed, which fulfilled their fantasies and conceived her only child. The master knew his desires and break the boundaries of happiness in perfect moments. Their romance was sneaking that brushstrokes of adrenaline he needed after the fine art of deception. I knew that ephemeral decision took away color to your life and father to Samantha, but did not accept being called a monster and much less than the called crazy. So, when he turned again to get to the car, she gripped the gun and pulled the trigger flip.
