Chapter 6
Gangsta
Gangsta met up with Kash at his girlfriend Erica’s crib. When he entered the crib behind Kash, he saw NeNe on the sofa in a pair of light blue cotton shorts, a tank top, and some hot pink socks. They made eye contact, but neither one spoke a word. Kash and he went straight down to the basement. Word got back that it was about last night at Club 321 when Dank knocked Mickey down for frontin’ on him. Her brother was a major cocaine pusher named Grich. When Gangsta heard the name, he knew Grich was the type of guy who would pull a stunt like this. Most niggas in East Hamp were about the trigger play, and East Hamp is where Grich rolled at daily.
“Veedo says he mounted up,” Gangsta said as he looked and saw four guns laid out on the floor and some clips.
“Okay, cool,” Kash replied while placing bullets in the clips.
Kash wanted to strike back fast and hit Grich where it hurt. He wanted to shoot up Grich’s mom’s crib in Riverdale, Georgia because his crew wouldn’t make it out alive if they pulled up in East Hamp.
Gangsta really didn’t agree with Kash’s way of thinking. He was waiting on a phone call to get the exact spot where he could find Grich when he wasn’t in East Hamp. He kicked it with Kash until Veedo made it over. He had some information about what went down, and he knew where Mickey stayed. That’s when the three guys came up with a plan to kidnap Mickey and kill her.
Gangsta left them in Riverdale and then made it to Newport Street on Simpson. He pulled his Ram up in the yard of a house on a hill surrounded by a black iron gate that was open. Over eight different cars were parked out front. Gangsta parked behind Pat Man’s Benz and climbed out wearing Rocawear pants and a shirt with some white Air Force Ones. He also wore a clear pair of Gucci frames and an Atlanta Braves fitted cap that was all white with the white A.
He walked up nine steps that led to the door. He knocked twice before Teyummie snatched the door open and instantly got his attention. It had been months since he has seen her. It seemed like she had gotten finer, especially with the Prada dress she wore that stopped mid thigh.
“Pat Man is in the back,” she spoke and closed the door when he passed her.
Gangsta followed her lead and was elated he did, because with every step she took, her ass bounced. Teyummie reminded him of Chilli from TLC. She was taller and lighter, but with that same swagger and happy face. Ever since middle school Pat Man had her, and Gangsta always wanted to have her, but he never got the chance.
She led him to the back of the house where Gangsta saw Pat Man and his boys weighing and sacking up pills. Pat Man smiled a mouthful of gold teeth at him when he walked through the door.
“What’s up, boy?” Pat Man greeted him.
“Whoa, what’s happenin’?” Gangsta replied as Pat Man gave him a pink pill.
“These the pink ladies. They some new shit, but same price. They just a different flavor,” Pat Man boasted, which made Gangsta give the pill back.
He reached into his pocket and produced a wad of cash. He counted off three grand for a seven grand profit.
“Just give me a few bags of those shits?” Gangsta asked.
“Okay, so do yo’ people still got loud?” Pat Man asked.
“Hell, yeah,” Gangsta answered quickly.
Gangsta got served and linked Pat Man with Veedo, because that’s who held his weed. Teyummie walked him to the door, and once he stepped out, she followed.
“I see you coming up,” Teyummie told him.
“Hardly,” Gangsta replied and started to walk down the steps.
“Damn, you just gonna walk off like dat?”
“Like what?” he shot back.
She walked down the steps and stood beside him. She took his phone and programmed her number into it. She gave it back, blew him a kiss, and walked off with her ass bouncing in that Prada dress.
Two Hours Later
“I think I’m pregnant,” Terry said when Gangsta walked into her apartment.
She was sitting on the sofa with Nikki.
“Huh?” He was baffled at her statement, though he knew he heard correct.
He knew it was a great possibility she really could be pregnant.
“Huh, my ass,” Terry stated.
Terry got up to follow him to the chair he sat in after removing the gun from his waistband.
“You must be late, huh?” that was his next question.
“Yes, I’m late. Plus, I’m throwing up too much. I’ll find out for sure tomorrow, though.”
“Okay, and if so, are you gonna be mad or happy?”
“Confused, and you?” she asked.
“Happy!”
“Told you,” Nikki added.
His reply put a smile upon her face, and Gangsta adored the sight. He was happy with the relationship they shared. Terry fell into his arms and they kissed long and deep.
Gangsta already had a plan for them to become roommates in an apartment. He still hadn’t let anybody know of his condo but his two partners and in the few months he’d owned it he had only spent four nights. Gangsta used it to stash his work and his safe. He needed somewhere other than his mother’s house. Terry would be okay to live with because he could handle her quick temper and fly mouth. Plus, she had the perfect girlfriend role down, and he liked that the most about her. It made the situation much better with her being pregnant with his seed.
As Gangsta was talking with Terry, Kash called, so he excused himself and stepped into the kitchen.
“Whoa,” he answered.
“Dank got hit seven times from the neck down, but he is still alive. Police got ‘im in custody because dis nigga had nine pounds on him that I just gave ‘im yesterday. He had a vest and like twenty racks in his pocket, plus he had two pistols.”
“Shit, Dank,” Gangsta said as he shook his head.
He knew Dank was going to jail unless he put everything on the bitch, then it would be up to Kash and him to get him a lawyer, which would be no problem.
Gangsta agreed to mount up and get at Grich as soon as possible, so they made all the correct calls, because this business had to be handled, regardless.
Exactly two hours later, Gangsta, Kash, and Veedo sat in a black Tahoe outside of Grich’s mother’s house. The crew followed Mickey and her brother there, and they were waiting on them or Grich to leave. They wanted him the most, since he was the man behind the shooting.
“Dis pussy need to let us get it and come out,” Kash said while holding two Glock .40s.
Grich’s mother stayed on a peaceful block in Riverdale a few blocks away from Kash’s girlfriend.
“He coming, bruh, just chill,” Gangsta spoke while his eyes stayed on the house.
“Man, we should just rush up in dat bitch and murk everybody,” Kash said out of nowhere, and Gangsta knew he was for real.
He knew payback was something that had to be done. It was the code of the streets. You shoot, and then I shoot. You kill, and then I kill. Their partna was almost murdered and now had a fresh case under his belt because Grich pulled a stunt like this. Grich was a dead man walking, along with Mickey, but they just didn’t know it yet.
Just as Gangsta was about to reply to what Kash said, they saw the door to Grich’s mother’s house open, and out walked Mickey. She was followed by her brother, who had the body of a pro football player, the height of a basketball player, and the blackness of the rapper B.I.G. He also had the mug of a killer, which is exactly what he was.
The brother and sister headed to the pickup truck parked in the driveway. Mickey was the first to climb inside the truck. She was smiling from ear to ear without a care in the world, and Grich followed.
Kash was the first to open the door, and then Gangsta and Veedo followed. Quickly, the three ran across the street with guns out and started shooting when they were only a few feet away.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
The guys fired repeatedly. Grich’s body twisted and turned inside the truck as he tried with great effo
rt to get away from the bullets. Kash ran over when the shots stopped. He snatched the door open to find Mickey hit, but still alive. They made eye contact as he pointed at her face.
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
All the guys ran back to the Tahoe, which was already cranked, and pulled off as they heard the mother scream.

Dank
Four Days Later
“You’re well aware that you’re in deep shit, correct?” the detective asked as soon as he opened his eyes. “I will give you only one chance.”
“Man, I haven’t done nothing,” Dank said with a weak voice.
“The guns and dope alone will send you to prison, so play stupid if you wish,” the detective said loudly.
“That was Tiffany’s shit, man, not mines.”
As soon as the words left Dank’s lips, the detective got up off the chair and towered over the bed.
“Well, guess what? She’s dead, and the truck is in your name.”
“Man—” Dank started to speak, but was cut off.
“As soon as the prints come back from the gun, you better hope it don’t link to no open cases, because you’ll be in prison for a long, long time.”
That statement made Dank’s heart drop into the pit of his stomach. He most definitely had the double grip pump in the truck with him when he was gunned down. Dank closed his eyes and wished this was a dream. He thought there was no way karma had gotten him this fast. He wasn’t able to enjoy all the good money he was taking and making.
“Man, I ain’t done shit,” he tried to say convincingly.
“Suit yourself, or help yo’self,” the detective said and walked out of the room, leaving Dank to his own thoughts.
Mentally, he was breaking down and unable to do anything about it. Dank knew the gun used to kill Danny was still in the truck with his prints all over it. He wanted to scream and snatch the IV out of his arm, but he couldn’t. He was cuffed to the bed, which meant he was already in police custody.
The room door opened, and it surprised Dank when two more detectives — one male, one female — walked in. The woman held a folder in her hand. The guy pulled out a small writing pad and read it before he spoke.
“Sir, I’m Detective Paul and this is Detective Gray,” Detective Paul introduced them both as the woman opened the folder, and then she pulled out a sheet and tossed it across Dank’s lap.
“Do you know him?” she asked.
Dank looked at it and saw it was Danny. His heart dropped, he felt lumps in his throat, and his mouth went dry.
“We think you do,” Detective Gray said.

NeNe
“Hello.”
“’Sup, Miss Lady, you busy?” Gangsta asked.
A smile came to her face at the sound of his voice. She already knew who it was because he was the only guy she had given her number too.
“Nope,” she replied.
“Oh, cool. Well, I told you I was gonna call.”
“I see.”
“Yeah, ‘cause I miss that smile.”
“Is that right?”
“I’m for real. I’m being honest.”
“I hear ya.”
NeNe loved his voice. Plus, he was extra cute in her eyes and had swagger. She wouldn’t let him know all these things because guys have a tendency to get a big head. That’s the last thing she needed from a guy right now.
“So, since the first day I met you, has your status changed?” he asked.
“No, and why?”
“Just wanted to know, ‘cause I got plans.”
“Plans?” NeNe laughed a bit, then added, “So, has your status changed?”
“I’m like a dollar bill, still.”
NeNe enjoyed his conversation. She was able to be herself. She laughed how she wanted to laugh, joked around, and their conversation was smooth and interesting. She liked his smile, which was rare. She also liked his down south slang, and he made it seem like everything was under control at all times.
While talking on the phone with Gangsta, she walked into the bathroom to look at her hair in the mirror as if he was actually on his way over.
“So, is your friend okay?” she asked while leaving the bathroom, going back to her room.
She saw her sister and Kash talking in the living room. She continued to her room because it seemed as if they were arguing.
“Who?” Gangsta shot back to her question.
“The one who got shot?”
“Oh, yeah, he good. But what do you got on?” Gangsta switched subjects, and the question confused her.
“Huh?”
“You heard me,” he laughed.
“Clothes and?” NeNe wanted to know.
“Can I come kick it wit’cha?”
“Boy, you crazy, huh? You sound like you got one thing on your mind. Who do you think I am?”
NeNe was feeling some type of way.
“That’s the last thing on my mind. I’d rather visit your past and learn your future.”
“I hear ya.”
NeNe lay across her bed.
“So, can I?”
“Now?”
“Yeah,” Gangsta replied.
“Well, if anything I will come to you, because it’s too many people at my house.”
Gangsta gave her directions to his condo. She was the first person other than his mother to know he had a spot. they hung up with each other. She laid there with the phone still to her ear and a slick blush on her face. She liked Gangsta. It was something about him.

Kash
Something did not feel right. Something was wrong, and he could feel it, but he didn’t want to say anything. He thought maybe he was tripping or thinking too much about the same situation. He tried to think of other things, but his mind would not allow it. Stay on track, he told himself over and over again. He was confused as to why his thoughts were negative. Maybe it was the death of Dank’s girlfriend, or maybe it was Grich and Mickey’s mother. They had made eye contact as he ran around the truck to kill her daughter. Kash had been killing since childhood, and not once had he held remorse or regret behind his actions. Kash was on the sofa seated next to his girl and having a dispute he cared not to have about what happened with Grich and Mickey. The murders were all over the news.
He saw his girl’s sister, NeNe, come out of her room, and then go back in after going inside the bathroom. Minutes later she reappeared, but this time she was dressed and heading for the door.
“And where you heading?” Kash joked, because it seemed as if she was rushing.
“Going to meet someone, why?”
“Who?” Erica demanded to know.
She got up and stood in her sister’s way.
“Girl, move. It’s none of yo’ bizness who. Yo’ man is right there,” NeNe said as she pointed toward Kash.
“You’re my sister, and I have the right to be nosey.”
Erica put her hands on her hips, and then Kash cut back into the conversation.
“I’ma tell my folks.”
“Who?” NeNe wanted to know.
“Gangsta,” Kash said.
“And just maybe when you call to tell ’im I’ll answer the call.”
“Oh, shit,” Kash said as he laughed, and so did her sister as she got out of her way.
NeNe smiled on her way out of the door.
As soon as the door closed, Kash fixed his attention back on Erica.
“Go lock the door,” he said, and she did as she was told.
Erica stood 5’3” and was a shade darker than her sister. She was the same kind of pretty with the same hazel eyes. She was thicker than NeNe and had a bigger butt, too. Erica was tatted and pierced, and NeNe had neither. Erica was the bad one out of the two, and that’s what attracted Kash to her when they met.
“Come here,” Kash said as he pulled her down on him.
They shared a kiss. She straddled his lap, pulled his shirt over his head, and then tossed it on th
e floor.
“I love you, bad boy,” Erica moaned in his ear as he caressed her back and booty.
“I adore that,” Kash replied as he stood, and she stood, too. He peeled her pants and panties down and then removed her shirt before laying her back down, but this time completely naked.
Chapter 7
Gangsta
His heart pounded away in his chest when he heard the knock. It was a soft knock, which he knew could only be one person. He slowly made his way to the door, because he didn’t want to seem as if he was rushing.
When Gangsta opened the door, NeNe was standing there looking as beautiful as ever.
“What’s up?” he asked and moved to the side.
She stepped in and walked past him, smelling good.
“Hey,” she spoke back.
She smelled like strawberries or something of that nature. It made him want to bite her as he closed the door.
Inside the living room of the condo there was a seventy-inch TV and a stereo with speakers. He had black wood and glass end tables, a sofa table, a black futon, and two leather sofas. He had pictures of his mother, his brother, and one of his father. A father he hasn't met yet. He kept it simple and neat. NeNe took a seat on the futon. He grabbed the remote and walked toward her.
“Here, make yo’self at home.”
“Thank you.”
She took the remote and their hands touched. It sent chills through his body. It wasn’t his first time touching her, but this time it was different. This time the two of them were alone in his space. Gangsta walked into the kitchen and watched her play with the TV.
“You hungry?” he asked.
“A little,” she replied.
“We can do one of two things. We can order in or cook,” he said.
“It don’t matter,” she said and made eye contact with him.
“Well, pick one,” he shot back.
“Okay, go ahead and cook,” NeNe replied.
“I said we,” Gangsta said, laughing.
