Second Genesis

Two ghouls were running right at Anna. She opened fire. Her aim wasn’t that great. She only shot both ghouls in the chest. Both ghouls looked down, at the wound, and then back at her. They opened their mouths and reached out their arms as they darted into a run, in an effort to give her a deadly hug.
Anna ran, while Tommy stood there in fear. Xairin tried to run and save the boy. Being distracted, another arm came through the shelving, grabbing onto Xairin’s left arm. “TOMMY RUN!” Xairin yelled.
Xairin turned around, and used the shelving to push the ghoul back. It began to climb over the top. This made it easy for Xairin to impale it's brain from the bottom of the chin. The blade came through the top of its skull, ending its attack.
Xairin turned around and darted after Tommy. The ghouls ran right past the child, they were only after Anna. This caused Xairin to stop dead in his tracks. He was relieved that the undead things ran right past the kid. But now Anna was in trouble. Then it dawned on him. Ghouls wouldn’t pass up a meal that had human DNA... Tommy was standing right there, and they ignored him, they didn’t even as much as look at him when they pushed right past the kid. He then recalled something Ethan had said in that vampire 101 class. Xairin gasped. “OH GOD, NO!”

A message from the Author.
I would like to thank you for purchasing and reading The Immortium, Vol 1 of Second Genesis. If you have read my two other books, you can tell by now, that I have essentially rebooted my own Urban Shadows series. Originally each book started out as ideas when I was a teenager in high school. So I decided to take up the hobby as an adult.
The Immortium, is planned to be an ongoing series of books, that helps establish a gay character as the lead protagonist. Now that you’ve finished this one, know that by the time this book is released, I was already halfway finished with volume 2 which I hope to have out before Halloween of this year, at the latest December.
My first books were published the traditional way. This book, I have decided to go the self-publishing route. So, by doing so, I hope and pray that my readers would help spread the word about my works so that I can bring my characters to other readers craving a vampire and LGBT themed saga.
I would hope that you enjoyed Vol-1, and plan to read the next one and so on. The best credit any reader can do for an author is to tell your friends and family about it. I’m not in it to make money, however paying for my own advertising is a little costly. All proceeds from my books go to cover art design, and advertising. As for myself, I simply love to write, and I have always dreamed of bringing a main character that is both a vampire and LGBT into fruition as not a lot of such fiction is around for us to sink our fangs into. Those that are, tend to be nothing but gay erotica, which is something I didn't want to do. Now Xairin will eventually have a few flings, but that won’t be the primary tone to any of my books. For my readers wanting that, I can say that when those chapters occur, I will make it pretty spicy, just don't expect that in every book. I guess I will keep you guessing on that one.
Don’t forget to tell your friends and family that you think may enjoy this work, about my Facebook, and my website. Also, I will from time to time, host a live chat on my author page.

Book 2 will automatically pick up where this one has left off. So be on the lookout and check for updates on my Facebook author’s page for when the next one is ready to come out.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this book.
Sincerely
Eric Williams.
