Betrayal

As always, one of my first thanks goes to Anton Kromoff, whose advice and collaboration back while we were in high school shaped many of the characters in this series and the world they inhabit. His input has survived two decades and several personal reboots, and Bounty might not exist today were it not for his help.
My sister Kat continues to provide emotional and creative support in her own unique way. I’ve gone into such great detail about her in the acknowledgements in each of the first three books, but I would be remiss if another book went to print without me once again thanking her for her love and support over the years. She makes me feel like a superhero, even when I’m clearly not.
Two of the more surprising fans of these books wound up being my mother and my grandmother. I say surprising not because they don’t support me—they do, probably more than I can articulate. But I never expected stories about a cybernetic cop who plays superhero to be the sort of thing they’d enjoy. Yet they’ve read all four books to this point and occasionally ask what’s coming next.
Well... this.
K.J. Lewis of Moondust Dreamers edited this book, and I appreciate her time and the thoroughness with which she worked on my manuscript. If you’re in the market for an editor, consider this an official endorsement.
Sarah Anderson again knocked it out of the park on the cover, and Becca Bates once again proved how good an editor she is. They’re both integral parts in making this series a reality; these books would not be what they are without them.
As always, I hope you enjoyed this story and I hope you’ll be back for the next installment, Bitter End. It will pick up almost immediately after the events of Betrayal, and the surprises I have in store are sure to be as entertaining for you as they will be trying for Jill and the others. I can’t wait to see where things go from here.
I’ll also have a couple other projects on the horizon, and I hope you’ll join me for those as well. Happy reading.
