Passion Point Firefighters: Extended Collection

He moves to be face to face with me. “Hey, hey, no, you made a choice and Matt made a choice. You can’t accept blame for his decision. Fighting fires isn’t predictable. I’m still amazed by how many times we’ve come on a fire that turns a different way than I really thought it would. Matt was doing his job. He wouldn’t want you still punishing yourself.”
I sniffle and press my body into his. “Thank you.”
“For?”
“Everything, Archie…” I feel the undertow of sleep. “Everything.”
Chapter Eight
Archie
My phone buzzes on the end table.
“Hello…” I say gruffly, and then clear my throat. “Hello.”
“Grimm…”
Oh, shit.
Red hair is splayed over my chest as she sleeps in the crook of my arm.
“Yes, Captain Holman?”
“Bring my daughter home, now.”
“Yes, sir.”
The line goes dead and I know that I’m not far from being the same.
“Baby, Josie, hey…” I kiss her forehead and she smiles in her sleep. The girl could sleep through Armageddon, although, maybe it’s because of the massive orgasm I helped her to get to last night. How her pussy clamped down on my hand…little worried for my cock, she might just break it clean off. The woman’s got a vise down there.
“Josie, hey, we need to get going…”
She stretches and the blanket lowers to show her beautifully round breasts.
Damn. Down boy.
“Breakfast?” she asks and I debate.
“No, I’m sorry. That was your father he wants you home right now.”
Her eyes pop open on that. “Did he sound upset? Is something wrong?”
“He didn’t say. Just ‘Bring my daughter home, now’.”
“Oh…that’s probably not good.”
“Um…how old are you, Josie?”
“Little late to be asking that, don’t you think?” She glances back over her shoulder while sitting on the edge of the bed and pulling her jeans on.
“Shit, please tell me you’re twenty.” My stomach rides a wave of nausea.
“Twenty-three.”
The relief is probably evident on my face.
“I’m an adult, Archie, and I should be able to decide where and how I spend my nights.” She’s a little spunky this morning.
I like it.
But I also know that today could be my last day at Station 1. Or worse…
Gone.
I look around the cabin. If I have to sell it, I’ll get my money back, but I’ve come to love this area, my coworkers, and…
Her.
I never thought I’d meet the love of my life over burning charcoal. But it happened. And telling her, although it’s what I want to do, it’s not great timing. I need to know my future in Passion Point first.
In twenty minutes we’re back in Passion Point and I’m pulling in front of Captain Holman’s, Josie’s scooted close to me and her head is resting on my shoulder.
She turns to face me. “I need to do this by myself.”
My eyes connect to another pair of eyes lasering in on me while his legs move at full pace toward my truck.
“I have a feeling Captain won’t go for that.”
She opens the door. “Stop!”
I jump out and I’m at her side in two seconds. Captain’s jaw is set and his hands fist tight.
She holds up a hand. “Just stop, Dad.”
“You’re fired, Grimm!” His fist meets my face, my nose cracking and my head spinning.”
I stumble back, collecting myself as Josie tries to keep me upright. “But…sir…”
“Don’t ‘but sir’ me. Your father’s an honorable man. I can’t believe you’d behave like this. I know he raised you better than this.”
“Dad, stop! You don’t mean that.” She moves in front of him. “Dad…I…I love Archie and there’s nothing you can do to stop us.”
As much as my nose hurts, her words make my head and heart float.
He shakes his head. “I just did stop him. Get your shit out of the station in the morning, Grimm, and say your goodbyes before I get there at eight.”
My chest burns. I step to Josie. “I love you, too.” She smiles. “Goodbye, baby.” I kiss her cheek and walk to my truck, wondering if that’s the last time I will get to do that.
As much as I want to tell her that I’ll fight, he’s got all the cards in this game. I’m holding nothing, except her and she’s going to stay in Passion Point.
She’s not going anywhere.
But maybe I am.
I call a couple of my fellow station mates and they agree that an afternoon drink sounds good. Dad’s asleep on the couch. I leave a note telling him I’m going out to get groceries. When I come back without them, he’ll understand.
I’m at Sooty Boot, the local firefighter hangout. It’s half dive and half sanctuary. Memorabilia from all six stations in the city lines the walls. There’s nothing…not one damn thing…that I want to do in this world more than being a firefighter.
My buddy, Keegan Zraa shows up first. He and I started almost the same time, but this is his first station. I’ve already been through two before this one. I know how to adapt to a new team. I can do it, but I don’t want to.
“Hey, Grimm, what’s the…” He lifts my glass and sniffs, his face contorting. “Whiskey for?” But when he’s closer he sees the why of the caramel liquid. “What the fuck what happened to your…face?”
“Captain fired me this morning.”
He motions the bartender. “Another one of these, please.” He climbs onto the high-top table barstool. “He fired you and beat you up?”
Our other fellow coworker comes in, Ridley Lake. I’d say she’s one of the guys, but with a rack like that, she’s still one of the girls. I thought about seeing if she wanted to start something up, but she made it clear…I’m not her type. And when I watched her kissing another girl on the dance floor when we went dancing in Boston one weekend, I knew what she really meant.
And now I know my type, too. Josie. Sweet. Sexy as fuck. And mine.
She sits on the other side. “Whoa. What happened? Did I miss a department last call?”
That’s when a firefighter goes down on or off the job and the 9-1-1 projects their final call through the intercom system. It’s hard to hear and it’s broken me more than once to hear.
“Last call for me…” I lift my drink.
Her brow furrows. “What?”
“He got canned,” Keegan says matter-of-factly.
Her lips tip up. “The Captain’s daughter?”
“Yup. Spent the night together—not like that—” I glare at both of them. “At my cabin and he called this morning. I really didn’t have a chance to even say much.”
“I’m sure he’ll come around.”
I shake my head. “I really, really like Josie, and she even told the Captain she loves me, but she’s scared of dating a firefighter.”
“Damn, Grimm, you got some moves!” Keegan calls out. “In love?”
“Yeah…” I run a hand through my hair. I didn’t even brush it after a quick shower. Probably look like a madman.
“And do you love her?” Ridley asks.
I stare across the room and the same memorial to Matt stares back at me. I stand and cross the room.
I bet if you were here, you’d know what to tell her.
A large hand lands on my shoulder, cupping. “Archie…”
Josie
As soon as Archie’s truck drives off, I’m inside and showering.
Dad’s in his recliner when I come from my bedroom. “Sweet—”
“Please don’t. Dad, I’m twenty-three. I’m not that little girl anymore.”
He stands. “But you don’t understand how scary it is out there.”
“It’s actually kind of scary in here, too. You’re controlling me. You’re trying to keep me safe, but it’s only making
me feel trapped. Dad, I…” My chest heaves. “I didn’t cause Matt’s death.”
He rubs the back of his neck. “Of course you didn’t. I did. I should’ve sent your mother to that night to get you. Matt was always trying to impress me. I heard the call. I knew it was going to be dangerous. I should’ve gone.”
I cross the room to him. “No. We both know that even if you’d have been there, he would’ve gone in. He would’ve taken the chance because that’s who he was. He was the guy who snuck me out at midnight for milkshakes. Who made me laugh when I was going to cry. He saved people. I’m sorry I took you away, but Dad, Matt made his choice and you can’t protect me from making choices. I’m old enough to decide my own path.” My eyes slicken. “And you need to call Mom and talk.”
“I miss her so much.”
“I know. And she misses you, too.”
He chuckles as he wipes tears from his eyes. “Hugh Grimm said the same. He said I was a goddamn fool for letting her go. I don’t want to make the same mistake with you.”
“Then you need to fix this. Archie isn’t stealing me or taking me away from you.”
“But he’s a firefighter and you said—”
“I know what I said. Things have changed. When you find the right person, they do.”
“And when you lose them, you feel it.”
“I’m not losing Archie. If he leaves Pasion Point, I’m going, too.”
His face pales. “Wow, you know how to really punch a guy.”
“I learned from the best.”
Archie
I spin to the voice. I back away slowly. I know he won’t start something here. “What do you want, Brady?”
I’m no longer a firefighter, the formalities are gone.
My two coworkers stand, but I shake my head. This needs to happen between him and me.
“I’m…I’m sorry, Archie.”
I step back more. The butter-up before the storm? “For what?”
He shoves his hands in his jacket pockets. “First, punching you.”
“Apology accepted.” I cross my arms.
“And for firing you.”
“But…”
“But she’s all I have.”
“I wasn’t taking her away. I just wanted to love her.” My voice cracks and I clear my throat. “I can’t explain what Josie and I have. It’s something flammable and combustible. But I know it’ll burn forever.”
“Okay, then go get her and I won’t stand in your way.”
“And…”
“And you aren’t fired. And hopefully you won’t report me for the punch?” He cringes.
“I won’t. Where is she?”
“She gave me this to give to you…”
He holds out a note. I read it and chuckle.
“What’s it say?”
“It says she wants to dance the chicken dance with me under the stars tonight.”
He laughs. “Well, that’s weird.”
“Not as weird as you’d think.”
My phone buzzes.
Dad: I’m going home. Had fun, but I need to see your momma. Love you son. You and Josie have a good time and I’ll be waiting to hear on when we can come up for a wedding.
Archie: Happy Father’s Day. I love you, too.
“You went and saw my dad?” I ask.
“Yeah, he set me straight on a few things.”
I bet he did.
I still have two days off. Two days to show Josie more than my moves on the dance floor. To show her that she’s mine and mine only.
Chapter Nine
Josie
I’m waiting in the cabin. I’ve used the time to clean up. If he’s not here soon, I’ll call my dad and make sure he’s on his way.
I hear the rumble of his truck and I can imagine hearing that sound when he’s coming back to me after his shifts. It’ll be the sign he’s safe.
I lift the shades and he’s standing outside the truck, his hand running through his hair. He looks adorably nervous.
The door opens and I don’t waste time, I jump into his surprised arms and he’s there to catch me. His lips claim mine again and I couldn’t be more positive that this is right.
Archie carries me to the fold-out couch. We’ll have to get a bed in this place. My mouth is at his neck, licking and nipping at his taut skin. A soft growl escapes from his mouth as my fingertips lift his T-shirt and brush over his nipple, teasing, grazing.
We come to a stop before my bedroom door. “Josie?” I look up into Archie’s eyes.
“What?” My voice exits breathy and heavy.
“I want you to be mine. My body is only for you whether it’s tonight or any other time.”
My heart pounds wildly in my chest.
He is giving me a chance to change my mind.
His shooting stars sparkle in his eyes and I know this is right.
I want to be his.
I raise my hand and trace his lips.
“Archie, my body is only for you and I want to be yours tonight.”
He sets my feet to the floor while tenderly kissing me. I lift his T-shirt and he reaches back and pulls it up and over his head. His abs clench as I step back to take a better look. I sway from a mix of adrenaline and happiness.
Archie steps behind me, his hands wrapping around my torso and pulling me close. My tank top doesn’t hide anything. I figured the less clothing, the better. Goose bumps float over my skin and he kisses them away. He pulls the bottom edge up and in one smooth move, the fabric floats to the floor. I unzip my shorts and slide them down. I hear him inhale as he views me in nothing.
“Commando?”
“I’m not wasting anytime, Archie. I want to be yours now.”
His fingers skim over my backside, rounding my hip he steps in front of me.
“You are beautiful, your skin is so soft.” Archie’s lips brush past mine, his left arm winds around my waist the other hand cups my breast, he bends his knees and his warm mouth meets my left nipple, sucking and flicking. My knees collapse, Archie lifts me against his body and lays his back on the bed, taking me with him. My legs straddle his upper stomach and my hands catch on either side of his head. Continuing his attention to my breasts, I whimper loudly.
“Fuck yes!” I whimper again. I sit straight up, slide back on his stomach and lean back, so that my hand can find his hard cock behind me. I rub softly across his jeans, finding the hardness my body is longing for. He continues to be attentive to my breasts with his hands. I touch with added pressure on his erection through his pants, Archie skims a finger against my firm clit. My eyes close as I writhe under the touch. He skims the button again and my body shakes.
My eyes open and meet his, “Archie, I’m close…Please, again.” This man gets me there like kerosene on a bonfire.
I release my hand from his erection and lean slightly forward changing the angle, my hands on his chest. He listens to my plea and with one smooth motion, his middle finger slips between my wet folds, entering me fully as his thumb circles my engorged hard button.
“You are so wet, Josie. It’s slick and warm inside of you. Perfect.”
His words are erotic inspiration to my ears. I buck my body, once, twice, feeling the intensity increase. I grind shamelessly against his hand several times. My orgasm builds quickly. And in the wink of his blue eyes, my body convulses and long surges of pleasure flow through me from the tip of my head to every single toe.
I scream his name in a long sensual moan. I hear him suck in a breath and answer me with his own groan loudly, his hips thrusting upward. He slows his hand movements as my body descends from the peak to the low purr of satisfaction. His hand withdraws from inside of me.
He sits up, pulling my forehead to his. His eyes wild and his breathing ragged.
“Jesus, Josie, I love that you are so loud when you come, but, baby, I almost came with you.”
But you didn’t, right?
I grind my hips to make sure.
Nope, still hard as a ro
ck.
“Thank you for controlling yourself.”
Archie growls as a response, his control is weakening.
And I love it.
He rolls us so he is partially on top of me. I reach down and unfasten his belt, the button on his pants, pull the zipper down and slide his trousers open. I am shaking as I reach inside his boxers and my hand finds the velvety softness I desire. I stroke his cock from base to tip firmly. His body responds quickly, he is so hot and so ready. He rumbles a low sound from his chest.
“Take off your jeans and boxers.”
Archie stops and our eyes meet. “I’ve never wanted anything as much as you, Josie. I would have given up firefighting for you.”
“I know, but you can have both of us.” My heart is so full for this gorgeous man.
Archie lowers both his pants and his boxers, setting them off to the side. His naked body is magnificent. My head spins viewing every inch of him.
I can sense the intense desire to be connected passing between us. “Condom? Please.”
He finds his wallet in his jeans and takes a little square package out. He separates my legs, raises my knees and moves between my legs.
“Do you want to or want me to?” he asks holding the square package.
“Together.” I whisper.
He smiles and nods in agreement.
I sit up, he rocks back onto his heels and his massive cock sticks straight out from his body.
It is a beautiful sight.
I gently tear the wrapper open, taking care to not disturb the contents. I drop the condom into his hand and he carefully turns the circle of latex over.
“Okay, pinch the tip so there is no air and place the condom on the head of your erection.” He breathes deeply and does as I tell him. I reach down and unroll the condom slowly, it’s tight and form fitting against him, just the way it should be. I love that he’s teaching me.
We gaze softly at each other.
My heart flutters, the look in his eyes says he really does.
