  Exhausted and utterly alone.

Through it all, Casper watches, holding me in place. When I’m done, he gets off the bed and I feel even more miserable.

This is where he leaves me. This is where it’s over.

  That’s all I can think.

Then, Casper pulls me up, turns me around and begins taking my dress off.

“What are you doing? We’re supposed to leave soon.”

“We’re not going,” he says, his voice clipped. He’s angry. Probably at me for deceiving him for so long.

“What are we doing?” I ask, when he has me naked and lifts me up into his arms.

  “We’re taking a shower.”

“But, my hair. I need to—”

“I don’t give a fuck about your hair. I need to calm down. The best way I know to do that is losing myself inside of you. So, we’re going to take a shower. I’m going to wash you from head to toe and then I’m going to pin you against the shower wall and fuck you until I have control again. Any questions?”

I don’t respond, I don’t think I could find my voice to respond anyway.

  Casper

My body is shaking with anger and frustration. I undress us quickly and get into the shower, a still trembling Jane in my arms. I breathe through my anger, trying to remember what Brad said about me needing to reign it in and not charging like an out of control bull. It’s clear that Jane is delicate, even more so than I knew. It’s also clear that despite everything she’s not only strong enough to survive, but to achieve anything she puts her mind too.

  She astounds me.

I don’t know how she could ever think that she’s not completely and utterly gorgeous. Bullying can harm your mind and your soul. Jane suffered that for years. Instead of making it better, being an asshole in her bakery and fighting my attraction to her probably only added to the hurt that she had withstood for years.

  I’m such a fucking asshole.

I grab the soap and begin washing her body, breathing her in, lovingly moving my hands over every inch of her body. Her neck, her shoulders, arms, the curve of her breasts, the delicate trail of her ribs and the way her hips flair out. I move over it all, committing and recommitting it to memory. My lips follow the same path as the hot water washes away the lather and steam begins to surround us, fogging up the glass doors of the shower.

I drop to my knees in front of her, my soapy hands sliding against her naked skin. I grab the round globes of her ass, pulling her body to my lips, kissing her flat stomach.

Someday very soon, I’m going to put a baby inside of her. Our baby. A baby that will inherit her mother’s beauty, sweetness and giving nature. A baby who will be living proof of the love we share.

“Casper,” Jane says, the words shaky and broken as she breathes through them, obviously aroused and hungry for my touch. Her hands clasp my shoulders, using me to steady herself, as I touch and praise every inch of her.

“You don’t have any makeup on now, Jane,” I tell her, unnecessarily.

“I know,” she whispers, her voice so quiet and sad that it’s painful.

“Your hair isn’t fixed either. It’s wet and a mess of pins that I have to take out so I can wash it.”

One of her hands leaves my shoulder and I watch as she touches her hair. I wait for her to frantically begin to remove the pins. She doesn’t. Her hand comes back to me.

“I know,” she says her voice a little stronger now.

“You don’t have any contacts in,” I remind her of something she already knows.

  “I know.”

“I wouldn’t give a fuck if you had glasses on or not, Jane,” I growl, my mouth moving against the bare lips of her pussy.

  “Casper.”

“I don’t give a fuck about anything but you, Jane. Looks fade, our bodies change, you’re not going to look the same when we get old and gray. That doesn’t mean I’m going to love you any less.”

“Casper,” she says, her voice sounding as if it’s crumbling.

“Your stomach will be stretched with our child someday soon. It will make marks and change your body,” I murmur, running my tongue along the inside of her pussy, groaning as I taste her.

“Oh God, honey…” she murmurs, her body quaking beneath my hold.

I stop to look up at her, her sweet juices on my tongue, the intoxicating fragrance of her desire surrounding me, making my dick so hard that it hurts. My gaze finds hers and I stare directly at her, not blinking, not looking away, wanting her to hear my words and see the truth on my face.

“I will love every change to your body, Jane. I will love anything about you or that becomes you, simply because I love you.”

“I love you, too, Casper,” she says, her tears starting again. I glide my hand along her thigh, letting my fingers tease the lips of her pussy, as I continue to look at her.

“You have a beautiful body, Jane,” I tell her, my fingers seeking out her entrance and I thrust two of them inside her tight walls, curling them inside her to find that spot that will drive her mad. “You’re so fucking beautiful I stay hard all of the time, needing to be inside of you,” I tell her, thrusting my fingers in and out of her tight tunnel.

  “Casper.”

My name is little more than a breath on her lips. Threaded, needy and full of desire. Her head goes back, her body arching out as it pushes against the wall.

“But, God forbid, you got in an accident tomorrow and you were scarred or lost an arm, or a leg, if you got some kind of sickness that tried to steal away your outward appearance, I’d still be here, loving you, needing you. I’d still be here, begging you to love me the same way,” I growl.

Because I’ve said what I needed to say, and partly because I can’t hold back any longer. I push my face inside the lips of her sweet cunt. I lick and kiss my way to her throbbing clit and then I torture it with my tongue, while my fingers continue to fuck her.

I’m relentless, eating her pussy with my mouth, fucking her with my tongue and my fingers, not stopping, taking her to the edge. The muscles of her pussy clench, trying to bite down on my fingers as she grinds her sweet little cunt into my face, her fingernails digging into my back. She’s fucking my face, finding her own pleasure and trying to take control and I let her, because she’s mine.

  That’s it.

  She’s mine.

I feel her pussy quivering, her body trembling above me, and it makes me give it to her that much more, knowing that when she explodes, it will be my tongue, my lips that she comes on.

And she gives me that and more.

She cries out my name as she orgasms. I lick her pussy, slowly bringing her down, knowing I’m the luckiest man on the face of the earth to have Jane.

  She’s my world.

  Jane

  “You awake, sleepy head?”

“Yeah, just really worn out,” I murmur, my fingers threading through Casper’s hair, as his head rests on my stomach, his arm around my body, holding me to him.

“Good, my job is done,” he says, moving so he flops back on the pillow and pulls me to him, my head resting on his chest now.

“I love you, Casper. I’m sorry I let my doubts get into my head,” I tell him. After everything we just shared, they’re not there now. I’m not saying they won’t come back, but if they do, I’ll talk to Casper about them and we’ll work through it. One thing I’m completely positive about is that Casper loves me just as much as I love him.

“I didn’t help matters, being an asshole when I came to your bakery. You have scars from your childhood, Jane, but I have my own.”

  “What does that mean?”

“It means, that I learned not to love anyone, because if you love them, they leave you. I closed myself off and with one look at you, I knew you would threaten all of it.”

  “But I…We…How?”

“How could I not fall in love with you, Jane? You have a smile that spreads sunshine, it even managed to shine
some into the darkness inside of me. You’re sweet, friendly and you’re always helping people out. Like that little old lady that comes into your bakery every evening right before I get there. You make sure you have food for her and cupcakes in her favorite flavor. You give her all of that and a large hot coffee and you never charge her a dime.”

  “How do you know that?”

“Just because I didn’t speak, didn’t mean I didn’t watch you, Jane. I watched and I loved everything I discovered. You mattered, even if I was trying to fight it. I would have eventually given in, but when Brad told me he was taking you out, I lost it. I didn’t want another man to have you. You’re mine. We belong together.”

“We do,” I agree, kissing his shoulders, and squeezing him to me.

“Forever. You’re going to marry me, Jane, and we’re going to have babies.”

“You order me around a lot, Casper.”

“You like it like that,” he responds and my face hurts from grinning so big. I laugh, the sound one of pure happiness. “Kiss me baby,” he murmurs against my lips and I do exactly as he orders, because he’s right. I do like it when he orders me.

  I absolutely do.

  Casper

  Seven Years Later

  “Happy Birthday, Daddy!”

I grin as I walk inside and the twins come running towards me, full stop. I bend down to catch them. They hit me so hard that I go back on the tile, my ass hitting the floor, my arms filled to the brim with lively, energetic children.

Casey and Cassie are five years old and fraternal twins. They have their mother’s beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes. They both have her spirit too, giving, loving and open. Then again, I’m a lot more like that since making Jane my wife.

I wake up every morning thankful to be alive and feeling blessed to have my family. Jane has given me the world. I don’t think she truly understands, although she says I gave the same to her.

She walks into the living room, smiling at me, and my heart practically flips in my chest at my beautiful wife. She’s got her hair up in a messy bun, she’s wearing her favorite gray jogging pants and a t-shirt that’s pink and stained with different colors, because it’s what she wears when mixing her icing at the bakery. She’s got on her new glasses, the rims thick and black and they never fail to make me want to take them off, undo her hair and fuck her until we both can’t walk.

“Happy Birthday, Casper. Did you have a good day?”

“Much better now,” I tell her and it’s true. I’ve cut way back at work, letting Brad do a lot more. I work three days a week and if I am forced to work a fourth, I do it at home, so that I can be close to my family. Jane works at the bakery every day, except the weekends. But she has changed her hours so that she’s home before five. We both have made our family—the twins and the child she’s carrying—our priority.

“Daddy! We made you cards!” Casey announces.

“Yeah and we got you a gift!” Cassie adds.

They scramble off of me and pull at my hands, trying to get me up.

“C’mon, Daddy! You gotta see!” Casey orders. I can admit, my son is a lot like me in that way.

“Guys let your Daddy breathe,” Jane chastises. “Go into the kitchen and we’ll show him everything.”

“Okay Mommy!” they cry and take off running.

“I want some of their energy for my birthday,” I laugh getting up and walking to my wife.

“You and me both,” she agrees. “I missed you sweetheart,” she adds, coming into my arms and kissing me.

I deepen the kiss, but not like I truly want to. There’s no point in that with the twins in the next room. It will just have to wait for tonight.

“I missed you. You look tired, you aren’t pushing it too much are you?” I ask her, my hand rubbing her stomach, which is just beginning to show that she’s carrying our child.

“I’m good. I promise. The bakery was just extra busy today.”

“You’re going to have to bite the bullet and hire more help. Pamela just isn’t enough anymore,” I tell her and she’s already nodding in agreement.

“I know. I set up a few interviews for next week. We’ll see what happens.”

“Good, because the only time I like seeing you worn out is when I am the one who made you that way.”

“Point made,” she says, hugging me and looking into my eyes.

“What?” I ask, wondering what she’s thinking.

“I just love you Casper Hartley, more than I could have ever thought possible”

“I love you too, Jane Hartley,” I tell her, unable to resist kissing her again.

The kiss gets deeper, because as always with Jane, I can’t control myself.

“Mom! Dad! Get in here!” Casey orders.

  We break apart laughing.

“Your son is just like you,” Jane laughs as I lead her into the kitchen.

“Yeah, but you like him that way,” I tell her with a wink and her smile deepens, because we both know she does.

We get to the kitchen, my beautiful children, my pregnant wife and a large two-tiered birthday cake that I know Jane made from scratch.

I once was a man who had everything and nothing. Because I didn’t have a family or anyone in my life that cared enough to see what was inside of me.

Now, I have everything. Absolutely everything.

How Jane could have ever thought of herself as plain is beyond me.

  She’s a miracle.

  The End.
