  Assistant Commissioner Cooley – third in command at CHP, in prison with other two commissioners. Black man. Brave, strong, emotional, smart. Always has your back. Wicked sense of humor.

  Chief Smith – turncoat chief of CHP – helped capture the commissioners. No stomach for violence. A coward, only in his position because he’s related to Sable. Follows whoever he’s most scared of at any given time. Trusts nobody, in it for himself.

  President Simpson – ineffective, corrupt leader of the United States. In league with the enemy.

  Attorney General Blake – Simpson’s right-hand man. Corrupt and evil.

  Others

  Quincy – owner of a sport fishing boat, who joined the citizen armada in San Diego. Big man with lots of heart, trying his best for California and the USA. Marlin tournament fisherman.

  Dusty – Quincy’s young friend and First Mate on the fishing boat. Brave and imaginative.

  Sax – Teamster and musician, leader of the attack group in Lemon Grove and National City, participant in the citizen armada battle. Normal guy who rose to the needs of his people. Good fighter, patriotic.

  Jesse – ex-Special Forces operative and leader of the commando team at the Lemon Grove and National City battles, also involved in the citizen armada battle. Strong, cunning, strong leader.

  Gonzalez – Marine commander of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle operating in Mexico. Strong, effective leader, all around nice guy.

  Officer Roberts – El Cajon Police Officer, participant in the Lemon Grove and El Cajon battles. Brave and smart, effective leader.

  Officer Sanchez – El Cajon Police Officer, participant in Lemon Grove, El Cajon, and the Citizen Armada battles. Lots of heart, brave to a fault, kind, funny.

  Doug – middle-aged volunteer on the border, joins the massive force there. Strong patriot, ready for action.

  Jorge – middle-aged volunteer on the border, friends with Doug. Brave and talented, always joking, sensitive but strong.
