Lord of Ends

She pushed me away and dropped to the floor to suck my cock. Carefully, she swallowed every inch until my head was halfway down her throat. She bobbed her head, massaging it with her throat until she was forced to come up for air. Then she went back for more.

After several more toe-curling minutes of sucking, Gehn pushed herself up to standing. She pulled off her shirt, revealing her small, firm breasts with dark, pert nipples. Her hands grasped the sides of her pants, hesitating, her eyes meeting mine in the dark. “Whatever it is, you are safe with me,” I promised. I meant it, too, though I wasn’t certain what to expect.

She took a deep breath. Then, wiggling her hips, she dropped her pants.

The moonlight glowed on her naked figure, and just the sight of it made me even harder. She was gorgeous. I never thought I would fuck an Ender, but looking at her, there was no way I wouldn’t. If anything, her horns made her more beautiful. I didn’t have a clue why she’d been so uncertain.

I was about to say as much, when something curled out from behind her, dark and narrow and full of life. Holy shit! I almost hollered, but managed to restrain myself.

  It was a goddamn tail.

She must’ve seen my flinch, because she reached down to grab her pants, a pained expression forming on her face. She was thinking she was about to be rejected.

  Not on my watch.

“Gehn,” I said softly. “Every part of you is beautiful.”

She looked up, rising slowly once more, her tail swaying gently from side to side.

I was about to stand up to embrace her and prove the words I’d spoken, but before I could, she moved forward, put her hands on my shoulders, and threw her right leg over the side of the window, straddling me. I dropped my left leg to dangle next to hers, and she slowly guided my cock into her pussy.

Good Lord, she was tight. She wiggled her hips back and forth until I could get all the way in. Once I was in, she sat for a moment and savored the feeling. She grabbed me by the sides of my head and pulled me in for another kiss.

I clutched her ass and lifted her up, guiding her to bounce a little on my dick. As my cock slid in and out, her wetness drenched me. I shifted my hips forward to get deeper on every bounce. She let out a louder-than-expected moan, causing me to once again look over and make sure Hannah was still sleeping, though my man-brain inwardly wondered what might happen if she woke up.

As Gehn squeezed me tight, I sucked on her neck. She pulled on the back of my head, begging me to suck harder. The harder I sucked, the more trouble she had containing herself. Her breath quickened, and she ran her hands up and down my back.

She rode me faster, our feet hanging over the edge of the window and sticking out in the dark night sky.

If anybody walked past right now, there’s no way they would miss us. The thought made me laugh to myself, but not enough for me to stop what we were doing. I was enjoying it too much to be thinking logically.

Gehn leaned back, holding onto my shoulder with her right hand and clutching the windowsill behind her with her left hand. She threw her head back, letting her horns stick out while her tits bounced in front of my eyes.

I couldn’t resist them—I wrapped my mouth around one of her nipples and sucked hard.

“Yeah,” she gasped under her breath.

With my left hand, I pulled her in tight by grabbing her ass. She ground hard on my dick, causing me to lean back to keep my composure. She was thanking me, but I wanted to make sure she enjoyed herself too. I wasn’t ready to go yet.

Her horns started glowing, which shocked me. I didn’t realize there was any truth to what the douchebag downstairs had said. They weren’t bright, but they were giving off a measure of light. It distracted me for a split second, but everything else she was doing felt too good for me to pay that close attention to it.

After one loud gasp, she climbed off and took me by the hand, leading me off the windowsill. I took a few steps back, and she stepped in front of me, put both hands on the windowsill, and bent over, presenting her round bare ass to me. Her tail wrapped around my torso, and rather than being weirded out by it, I found myself attracted to this particular feature of hers.

Hard as a rock, I stepped forward and slid myself into her. With a quick thrust, she grunted. She returned her other hand to the windowsill and gripped it while she threw her ass backwards and into me, almost knocking me over, her skin slapping against mine.

She was doing all the work—all I had to do was stand there and let her fuck me. I ran my hands down her back. My fingers found a scar.

I traced it with my fingertips. It was a quarter-inch thick, and it ran halfway down her back. I shook my head in disgust, knowing what kind of pain she must have felt when it was happening to her. Why hadn’t they told me about it?

A shiver of pure pleasure trembled through me, wrenching my thoughts away from the scar and back to the infinite expanse of gorgeous flesh slapping against me.

She seemed to be really enjoying herself now, and that’s what mattered. I wanted her to enjoy herself, so I reached around with my right hand and rubbed her clit with my middle finger.

This spurred her on, and she rocked her ass back forcefully while the climax built inside her.

At the top of her head, her horns glowed brighter. The closer she got to an orgasm, the more magnificent the glow.

Now I was worrying a little. The bartender had told us not to turn on any lights, and this would qualify. I wrapped my left arm around her and lifted her off the floor. She braced her feet behind me and kept on fucking, even as I was stepping over to the side so that the light from her horns wouldn’t shine out the window.

I let her down, and she pulled my hand back to her pussy, begging me to rub her more. She propped herself up, reached behind my head, and pulled me in close. I sucked on her neck while her body tensed up. The glow from her horns filled the room with light for a moment, then dissipated as her body melted in my arms.

She caught her breath, then dropped to her knees. She looked up at me with those gray eyes, and they captivated me. I never knew an Ender could be so beautiful.

Gehn stroked my cock, popping the head into her mouth and flicking it with her tongue. She never took her eyes off me, and I couldn’t stop staring at her either. With her free hand, she fondled my balls gently, running her fingertips along them until I couldn’t contain myself anymore.

She knew it was coming, so she quickly shoved my cock back down her throat. The load built up, my muscles clenched, and I unleashed, spurting into her mouth as she gulped it down. I gripped the side of her head with both hands, and she squeezed my ass while she forcefully took every drop.

I crumpled down to the floor next to her. She slid into my arms and we both looked up at the moon, catching our breath. Sweat dripped from our bodies. I couldn’t believe that Hannah slept through all of that.

I wondered if anyone saw the light as we finished. But after that, it was difficult to spend too much time thinking about it. My mind was foggy and my legs were weak.

Gehn turned her head and kissed me a few times on my chest. “Thank you for accepting me,” she said, which drew a small chuckle from me until I realized she was serious.

“You’re welcome,” I said. “But no thanks is necessary. You are a revelation.”

She stood with a small smile and ran her fingers through my hair before dressing herself and returning to bed. I followed suit.

As I pulled the blanket up to my chin, my body relaxed. That was a very productive use of my adrenaline.

Tomorrow, we would do a little more exploring of Geneva before we embarked on our journey to Rome. The peaceful night and the afterglow of a great fuck was the perfect way to prepare for the adventure ahead of us.

  Chapter 11

  More trouble

Food was the first item on the agenda the next morning.

Though Geneva might’ve been a decent city to explore for a week or ten, this wasn’t a sightseeing trip. Plus, my employers—it
felt weird calling two women I’d slept with my employers—seemed anxious to move on toward Rome.

But that didn’t mean we couldn’t fill our bellies with a good meal before we hit the road. I needed all the strength I could muster. Not knowing what was lying ahead of us, I took no chances.

We reached the street and picked a direction to walk. The city wasn’t huge, but it had several places to go for food.

“I want bread,” I said to the girls, who agreed.

Food lovers in the Ends dedicated their energy to perfecting the loaf of bread. Without electricity or any major appliances, baking was tough. Some took up gardening and raising fruits and vegetables.

But for many people, bread was the holy grail. It was that piece of food we longed for. It filled us up and, if only for a moment, let us believe we were back in the old world again.

I hung out at the outposts. No one could bake a loaf of bread. We were a harder group, and the best we could do was eat the stuff that was already handy. We ate lots of apples and carrots, and we dined on roast critters whenever possible. Occasionally, a larger beast was available, and we ate in style.

But bread is what we all wanted.

There had to be somebody in Geneva we could pay for a good slice or two of homemade bread.

We moved up a couple blocks. Geneva was hardly the comfortable town I remembered. On previous trips, it seemed like Geneva housed people wanting to live and let live. Then again, when I visited Geneva, I was by myself—and not with an Ender. These days, there seemed to be more members of the Rising here, which was disconcerting. Why would the Rising hang out in a city known to be neutral?

Walking through with Hannah and Gehn gave us a much bleaker view of the people. Many of them stared at us as we strolled by. We didn’t talk to anybody. Hell, we barely talked to each other.

I could, however, admire the architecture. Geneva wasn’t an advanced city by any stretch, but it was a lot more comfortable than the places I frequented.

None of the buildings were over three stories tall. Even then, there were only a few. Massive skyscrapers were a thing of the past. Without the heavy machinery we were used to, survivors built their structures by hand once again. That meant nobody could make tall buildings. Beyond a couple of stories, a builder needed equipment we didn’t have anymore.

The buildings were a whitewashed brick in most cases. The people of Geneva had gotten their hands on some bricks from some other fallen structures nearby. They put them to good use, and it made for a well-established city that felt like it had a bit of class.

The people didn’t have that same class, though.

The stares were getting out of hand. If a few people wanted to catch a glimpse and turn away, fine. I was okay with that. But after a while, they stopped trying to hide their glances. Wherever we walked, somebody stood there gaping at us. For a neutral city used to seeing plenty of Ender women, it seemed weird, until I realized something. All the other Ender women I’d seen thus far had been with other Ender women. Despite this city’s “acceptance” of all kinds, the races were still segregated, which made us a spectacle.

Occasionally, we’d come across a kid. Kids stared especially long. It made sense; children didn’t have a sense of pretending to ignore that which stood out. They did what felt right. I respected that about kids.

So I chuckled when we saw a youngster whose eyes looked like dinner plates, their mouths hanging open at the shocking sight of an Ender, a First Tier, and a roughneck guy walking side-by-side.

But seeing those children stirred up other emotions inside me.

I wasn’t around kids much. They were nonexistent in certain parts of the Ends. If I saw a kid in The Last Stop, I would walk over to his parents and tell them to beat it. Children didn’t need to see a bunch of belligerent drunks beating on each other. And I wanted none of them catching a stray bullet.

So when I saw a kid, it jarred me a bit. Oh right, kids exist out here in the wasteland, too. Our future?

However, these weren’t children like I was used to.

My parents raised me in a pleasant home, pre-Blast, with all the comforts modern society enjoyed back then. We had appliances that cooled and cooked our food for us. My family had central air, so the warm nights were as dreamy as the comfortable ones. Our furnace never failed. We weren’t rich, but I had my share of luxuries.

When I talked with other adults about our childhoods before the Ends, we reminisced about Christmas mornings and trees with piles of presents underneath them, each with a tag for a different member of the family.

But the Blast happened ten years ago. The kids in the Ends that ranged from birth to nine years old never knew a world that existed before the bomb dropped, and many of the others were too young to really remember the old world anyway. They didn’t know what the “comforts” of home even were.

Their eyes lacked joy or excitement. There was no youthful innocence in their step.

The youth of the Ends were a bitter, cold, emotionless group. When we walked by, waving at them, they stared back at us. I wondered if any of them had a gun, and if someone would press it up against my nose by the end of the night.

“Anyone spotted a bakery yet?” I asked.

Gehn nodded, pointing to a small brick building at the end of the road. The giant picture window in the front of the building revealed a small woman with red hair pulling a loaf of bread out of the oven. My mouth salivated at the sight of the beautiful, crusty loaf. I almost drooled on myself.

“Let’s see how much she wants for that one,” I said to the two women...to no response.

They weren’t standing next to me. Chuck sat at my feet, staring at the same loaf of bread I was drooling over. But no women.

“Come on, Chuck,” I said, “maybe they got distracted.”

We backtracked up the road and turned the corner to see a scrawny little man, barely tall enough to reach Hannah’s shoulders, pointing his finger in her face and waving it around furiously.

  The hell?

I stepped in closer to get a view of this guy. His balding brown hair barely covered his scalp. A bushy dark brown mustache peppered with gray streaks hung under his nose. He wore glasses shoved firmly up on the crown of his nose. He dressed himself in a long white robe and white pants that cut off just before his ankles, revealing his brown leather sandals.

“How dare you,” he growled at her, shaking his finger even more. “You are a First Tier. We have a society we are trying to rebuild. What are you even doing here with them? You should go back to your masters.”

A tattoo snaked up his neck, revealing a snake rising into the clouds. The symbol of the Rising.

“Slumming with an Ender?” he continued. “I am in disbelief. That’s not how this society works.” Now he was poking her in the chest with his index finger, wagging it violently and shoving her backwards. “We have rules!”

Goddamn the “rules”. This was why I didn’t go places. The “rules” bored me to death. No rules at the outpost. No wonder I rarely strayed.

I was about to wring the guy’s neck and drag him off when fire burned in Hannah’s eyes. Just like at the bar, Gehn slipped behind her, shaking nervously.

The man grabbed Hannah by her arm and yanked it, and she’d had her fill. With her free hand, she clenched her fist and swung it at the side of the man’s head. Thud!

Nice shot. It was a solid hit, but she wasn’t done yet.

Before he could gather himself, Hannah reared up and sent the heel of her boot right under his chin. His head snapped, and he flew onto his back.

The kick stunned me from across the street. The snap of the guy’s jaw echoed in the air. It was a hell of a boot.

Commotion brewed. The surrounding crowd shoved, trying to get a glimpse of what happened. They weren’t accustomed to such violence in this city. Someone tended to the jerk on the ground.

I rushed over to grab the two before the crowd overwhelmed them. But most kept their distance, not wanting to ang
er Hannah. I couldn’t blame them.

As I reached them, Hannah’s fighting stance relaxed. She did what she needed to do. She had communicated the message. Gehn wasn’t calm yet—still shaking behind her.

  “Everyone okay?” I asked.

Hannah nodded. “This bastard just put his hands on me, that’s all. I took care of it.”

“I saw that. You sure as hell did. Nice work. But we better get the hell out—”

Just then, a shove into my back sent me flying into the two girls. The momentum took all three of us to the ground. Without thinking, I stuck out my arms and legs to break the fall, so I wouldn’t crush them underneath me.

It worked, but on impact, my knee popped. A shot of pain fired up my leg, and I groaned.

“Shit,” I muttered through clenched teeth.

No time to bother with that yet. I pulled myself onto my good leg and spun around with fists flying. The bastard had recovered from Hannah’s kick and was out for blood. He was so short, I almost swung right over his head.

But I adjusted my swing and buried my knuckles into his face. Flesh smushed and bones cracked, and the guy collapsed. This time, he wasn’t getting up.

I helped the two girls back up from the ground. People stared at us in fear.

“He picked the fight, everybody,” I announced. “We just finished it. Relax.”

There were several murmurs about the Council, but I ignored them. The Council could go fuck themselves.

Walking back to the bakery was a lot more painful than the first trip. Something had torn in my knee. I couldn’t put much pressure on my leg. I hoped it was temporary, and that walking around would loosen it up again.

We stepped into the bakery where the owner manned the front counter. He turned to smile and welcome us to his little shop. But once he saw who we were, his expression fell.

“What do you want?” he barked.

“We’re looking to buy some bread, sir,” I replied.

He sighed. “You shouldn’t be here.”
