“Yeah, that’s how shit goes sometimes. I’m with Murder now, so life is good,” Lawrynn said.

“I told you they were up here talking about us,” Murder said as he walked into the living room where the ladies were talking.

“We were getting to know each other. Why do you think you two were the only thing we have to talk about?” Connie said.

“Well, excuse the fuck out of us,” Murder said.

“Are y’all good in here?” Pain asked looking between the two women.

“Yeah, we’re fine. I know I said some bad things that night, but after talking with Lawrynn and seeing these two together, I see why you are still close with them both. I owe all of you an apology. I admit that from the outside looking in, this entire situation is a little crazy. Not anymore, though, I’m enjoying y’all’s company,” Connie said.

Murder gave Pain the eye. He knew in that moment that he was going to give this relationship with Connie an honest try. He gave Murder a nod, understanding the silent message his friend was giving him. The rest of the night went smoothly with them all sitting and talking to get to know Connie better.

Lawrynn stood on the balcony of their suite at the beautiful Hotel Riu Palace in Aruba. The resort was on the shores of the tranquil atmosphere of Eagle Beach. She had never seen water so beautiful. It looked like she could see the ocean floor because of how clear the water was. There were people everywhere, but she still felt at peace.

“Are you gonna stay out here all day, or do you want to go put your feet in the water that you keep staring at?” Murder asked.

Lawrynn had been out there for at least two hours, so far.

“It’s just so beautiful,” she told him while still staring out at the scenery. “I think I’ll stay out here until we leave for dinner. I just love it so much.”

“Okay, I can go lay across the bed then. The seven hours on the plane tired me out. We can walk on the beach and all that after dinner,” Murder told her.

“Okay, that’s sounds good to me,” she responded.

Lawrynn took a seat in one of the lawn chairs that were on the balcony. The sight of a bride and groom taking pictures on the beach caught her eye. She watched as they ran up and down the beach while the photographer snapped pictures. She found herself wondering what her wedding day would be like. She had stayed out on the balcony so long that the sun started to set. Hearing the sliding glass door being pulled open, she looked up to see Murder looking down at her.

“Do you need to freshen up or anything before we leave?” he asked.

“Yeah, just give me a few minutes to get myself right,” she told him as she walked past him into the room.

“Did you see enough tits and ass out there?” Murder asked.

“No, I did see a groom and a bride doing a photo shoot. It was beautiful to see them take all those pictures. Maybe we should get married before we go back,” she told him.

  “Married? Out here?” Murder asked.

She didn’t know that he was already planning their wedding to be done there, and he wasn’t going to tell her.

“Yeah, why are you sounding all scared and shit?” Lawrynn asked.

“I ain’t never scared. You better ask about me,” Murder said and slapped Lawrynn on the ass.

He watched her continually change her mind about what she was going to wear. He personally didn’t give a fuck about what she put on. She was beautiful to him in anything. It made his dick hard just knowing that she was his. In these last few months it, seemed that trouble was always at their doorstep. There were times that he wondered how the hell could she go on through it all. No matter what the problem was that they were facing, she never gave up on life. She was strong as fuck, which was sexy to him. They were drawn to each other like flies to shit.

Today was the day that started their years of togetherness. Damn, nigga, you really gonna get married, he thought.

  “Maurice!” he heard Lawrynn yell.

  “Why you hollering?”

“I’ve been calling you and calling you. Where’s your head at?”

“I’m just enjoying the peace. What do you need?” He asked.

“Can you zip me up, please?”

Murder looked up to see her standing in front of him with an off white slip looking dress on. Her feet were slid into some flip flops matching the dress in color. They were decorated with rhinestones, and even her big toes had the same rhinestones on them. He licked his lips out of habit as he looked at her. His dick was getting hard, and he was now drooling over his woman. When she got in front of him, she turned her back to him. Lawrynn thought that he was going to just zip up the dress, but Murder was on some other shit right now.

He sat on the bed looking directly at her soft, round ass. Holding both of his hands up, he caressed both cheeks at the same time. He then leaned forward and began to place kisses on both cheeks. The softness of her ass wouldn’t let him stop touching it. He craved her taste.

Murder spun Lawrynn around and dove in head fist. She sucked in a deep breath from the shocking feeling of his tongue between her vaginal lips.

“Don’t you fall, either,” he looked up briefly to tell her before going back to his favorite activity.

“Damn, Maurice,” Lawrynn moaned out as her hands went to grip his head.

He told her not to move, but she felt like she was going to pass out. The bottom of the dress was bunched up on his head. Not once did he move away from her treasure. He was licking and sucking like a starving man. She tossed a leg up on his shoulder to give him better access. He slid three of his fingers inside her and continued to lick and suck on her. Feeling her walls squeeze his fingers, he knew it was almost time for her to cum. He took his hard dick out with his free hand.

“Sit the fuck down,” he told her.

Lawrynn did as she was told and sat down right on top of Murder’s hard dick. Her eyes closed, and she bit her bottom lip as he filled her to capacity. He took the three fingers that were inside her and shoved them in her mouth. She greedily sucked her juices off his fingers. When she was done, he kissed her with so much force and passion that she forgot she was fighting off an orgasm.

“Ahhhh,” she called out. The feeling of her releasing all over him brought on his release as well.

“Fuck,” he called out as he filled her with his seed.

Once both releases were done, they collapsed onto the bed. Murder’s phone went off just as both of them were dozing off. Lawrynn’s head popped up quick as hell.

“Are you gonna answer your phone?” she asked.

“Nope,” he answered with his eyes still closed.

“You don’t want to see who it is? It might be important,” she said.

“Bruhhhhh, leave the phone alone and lay your big head ass down,” Murder said.

She kissed her teeth, but she was sure to lay down and not mention the phone again. It had been going off back to back when she was sitting out on the balcony.

When they finally got up an hour and a half later, they both were hungry and still sleepy.

“Bae, can we just chill in here for the rest of the night? We don’t have to go out tonight,” she told him.

“Nah, get ya ass in gear so we can dip. If you wanna chill in the room for the rest of our stay, then that’s fine. Our first night here needs to be special,” he told her.

“What’s so special about dinner?” she asked as she went in the bathroom.

When he took too long to answer her, she went in the room to find him typing fast as hell on his phone.

“Oh, ya ass couldn’t check the messages while I was in here. That’s flawed as hell, and you know it,” she told him.

“Chill out, Lawrynn, ain’t no funny shit going on. Are you ready or nah?” he asked.

Lawrynn stood there glaring at him. He could feel the heat on the top of his head from her evil stare. Murder stood up and slid the phone in his pocket. He wanted to laugh at her, but he knew he couldn’t, at least
not yet. He could tell that she had an attitude and would’ve told him to forget the damn dinner if her stomach wasn't making all that damn noise.

They left the room with Lawrynn walking in front of Murder, showing another sign of her attitude. The elevator was empty when they stepped on. Lawrynn went to the corner opposite of where Murder was standing. He chuckled, shook his head, took out his phone, and went back to texting. Murder kept his face in the phone, ignoring the mumbling and the sound of lips smacking coming from Lawrynn’s childish ass.

Murder took her hand, well more like snatched her hand, and lead her to the restaurant that was located on the ground floor of the building that they were staying in. The resort they were staying in could only be described as massive. Lawrynn had counted at least eight buildings for the guests to stay in. Each building had its own staff, various restaurants, and a dance club. All of that including the casino on site and the in-ground pools placed between the buildings meant they only had to leave the building that they were in if they wanted to.

“Why does this place look closed? All the lights and shit are off. We can just go to another building to get something to eat,” she told him.

Murder made sure not to let go of Lawrynn’s hand because she looked like she wanted to leave. She couldn’t do that right now. Murder opened the door for her, being the gangsta gentleman that he always was. Lawrynn hadn’t noticed that Murder was no longer standing beside her until she heard the sound of the door locking.

  18

Lawrynn tried to open the door, but she couldn’t. She turned back around, and the sight before her almost made her faint. Tears started to flow as she immediately forgot why she was mad at him a few seconds ago. They were all there. Everyone she loved and loved her were all there. On one side of the white arch was decorated with yellow and silver painted or either fake roses. She couldn’t tell from where she stood now.

Nell and Mrs. Ella were standing on the left side in yellow dresses. On the right side was Allen, Uncle Jimmy, and Pain dressed in grey tuxedos with yellow bow ties and cummerbunds. There was an older man standing under the arch; he had to be the officiant. She looked down at the dress she had on and thought that she needed to change.

“Baby girl, are you ready to do this?” Lawrence asked as he approached her left side.

“Daddy, how? Who did all of this?” she asked because they were the only words she could say. Lawrence just chuckled at her and her silly questions. “Now you know damn well who did all of this. I was supposed to go back to New York yesterday. When Murder told me about this, I had to push my return home back a few days,” he said as he held out his arm for her to take. She smiled and entwined her arm with his.

As both of them walked slowly toward the arch, Murder came from wherever he was and stood next to Pain. He now had on a tuxedo that matched the guys’. His cummerbund and tie were off white like the dress she wore.

Lawrynn giggled at how nervous Murder looked. He kept shifting his stance and putting his hands in his pockets just to take them out again.

“Look at his wanna be gangsta ass. You got him all fucked up, baby girl,” Lawrence said, making Lawrynn laugh.

“Who gives this woman away today?” the officiant asked.

“I do,” Lawrence answered. He then looked directly at Murder “Take good care of her. If you don’t, I will come find your ass,” Lawrence said before placing Lawrynn’s hand inside Murders. He then stepped off to the side. That’s when Lawrynn noticed Connie siting in the area for the guests. Connie smiled at her so Lawrynn returned a polite smile.

“How did you do all this?” she asked.

“Don’t worry about that. Worry about that man ’bout to talk,” he whispered to her. She rolled her eyes at him. They both stood there with tears falling from their eyes. “You better not tell anybody that I’m crying,” he told her just to make her laugh.

“Maurice has asked that you both do your own vows,” the official said. Lawrynn looked over at Murder like he had lost his mind. “He also would like to go first. You have the floor, Mr. Jackson.”

Murder turned to Lawrynn to look her in the eyes.

“Damn,” he said as he ran his hand from the top of his face down to his chin a few times. “Shit, Law-Baby. I knew the first time I saw you that you were gonna have a special place in my heart. I didn’t realize we were going to get married until the first time I saw you cry. I may have not been the one to cause the tears, but I damn sure wanted to be the one who dried them up.

“With all that you’ve been through, not once have you given up. There were plenty of times that you should’ve, but you never did. I admire your strength and beauty. It’s the strength in you that lets me know that you can handle being with a man like me with no problem. I know you always say that you weren’t my type. You are my type and so much more. If I could give you the world I would just to see you smile.

We’ve been to hell and back. All the drama and other bullshit only brought us closer. I want to thank you for not giving up on us and giving me a chance in the first place. Coming home to you makes me the luckiest man on the planet. All the money in the world can’t replace you. I’ve shown you how much I love you by taking a bullet that was meant for you. I don’t want you to feel bad about that. I would gladly give my life for yours. If there was a way for me to take on all your pain, I promise you I would. You will never have to live another day wondering if you’re loved or thought of. It’s me and you against the world, Lawrynn, never forget that,” Murder said.

Now, as she looked around, she saw that everyone was either crying or fighting back tears.

“You have the floor,” the official said and nodded toward Lawrynn.

“I never in my wildest dreams would’ve thought that I would be marrying anyone, and especially not you. There was a time when you scared me or made me uncomfortable. Now that the tide has changed, the only thing I fear is living without you in my life. I want to thank you for being patient with me. Not one time did you ever hint that you would walk away from me with all the drama going on. You have shown me more loyalty, trust, compassion, and love than some of the people who are supposed to be my family. Through all this drama you were my peace of mind, shoulder to cry on, and therapist to just sit and listen to me babble on and on about the same thing.

“Thank you for showing me that there are good, faithful men still walking the earth. You bring out more in me than you will ever acknowledge. Just know that you make me better. You never judged me for anything. Not once did you even entertain the thought of leaving me. You came into my life at a time when I doubted if I was even good enough to be loved by a man that I’m not related to. Instead of ignoring everything like I did before you, I faced everything and everyone head-on with you right there by my side. You talked about my strength. Well, with you, I’m stronger, wiser, and more confident than I have ever been. You saved my life just to make me your wife, okurtttt. I love you, Maurice, now, forever, and always,” Lawrynn said.

Murder leaned in a gave he a nice, slow, tantalizing kiss.

“Excuse me, we’re not at that part yet,” the officiant said, causing everyone to laugh. Murder and Lawrynn never stopped kissing. “I present to you, Mr and Mrs. Maurice Jackson,” he said as everyone clapped.

  Yes, they were still kissing.

The reception was in a small meeting room. The wedding party was all in attendance along with a few other guests from the building they were in. Lawrynn was so overwhelmed with all the love and fun they were having that she didn’t want this day, moment, or vacation to ever end.

Out of nowhere, Pain stood up and tapped his glass with a spoon. Murder and Lawrynn looked at each other, hoping he didn’t go off the deep end with his speech.

“Good evening, everybody. If you don’t know me, I’m Pain. Murder is like a brother to me, and Lawrynn is… well, she’s my ex-girlfriend,” Pain said.

“I hope this nigga ain’t on some bullshit today because Murder’s gonna kill his ass for s
ure if he is,” Allen whispered to Nell.

Nell nodded her head in agreement. Things had been chill between everyone, but you never know what’s gonna be said when the alcohol is flowing freely. Nell prayed silently that Pain wasn’t going to say anything crazy.

“Yeah, yeah, I know what you all are saying, and no, Lawrynn is not a thot, and Murder is not a flawed ass nigga,” he said and paused to take a drink from his glass.

“Yo, watch that shit, playboy,” Murder called out.

Lawrynn tapped his leg under the table.

“Hold up, I’m not finished. In all fairness, I’m the one that’s a thot and flawed. I had Lawrynn to call my own at one time. Murder would tell me all the time, ‘She’s a good girl’ or ‘You’ll never get another one like that if you lose her,’ and the one I will always remember, ‘You gonna lose her to a real nigga one day.’ Well, he was right on the money. I lost her because I was too busy having numerous chicks on the side and getting her cousin pregnant. I was a horrible boyfriend and even more horrible person to her. It was all in the stars though. I was supposed to be the horrible boyfriend to her because Murder is who she belongs with. Seeing them together, you can’t help but feel the love. He gives her a love that I wasn’t able to give. He makes her smile in a way that I never could. I’ve never seen her so happy,” he said while looking over at the newlyweds.

“She knows what it is,” Murder said.

“It’s like she doesn’t have to open her mouth. The happiness just shows all over her. In all the years that we’ve known each other, we’ve always helped each other get through everything. He’s taught me shit, and I’ve taught him shit. This time around, he taught me two lessons. The first one is that you have to be careful when you’re out here trying to be a player. The heart you break may be your own. The second one is that when you’re in a relationship, keep your shit tight because there’s always somebody there to take your place. I can say in this instance that the best man won. Murder, treasure her like the jewel that she most definitely is. Lawrynn, I’m sorry for everything. I wish you both nothing but happiness and twelve kids, all boys, with murder’s attitude,” he said with a smile.
