Midnight War

Magnys stood next to Edric, gazing out at the intricate buildings with an amused grin. “Elora would have never existed if you didn’t bring your dreams here. Lukken is better for it because of you.”

“Thank you for helping me to see it again,” Edric said in a soft tone.

“Let’s work on those spell forges so many more will know the city’s beauty,” Magnys said and took a step forward onto a bustling Temple Street, citizens waving to the summoner, Sormir and ogre.

The enclosed forge was empty except for Edric, Magnys and an earth elemental with large shards of runic stone protruding from its body. Leeta stood outside, golden eyes taking in the area as citizens went about their day.

Magnys stepped closer to the forge, eyeing it before nodding his head. “This one will do. Follow my directions like before.”

Edric nodded and pulled his character sheet to the corner of his vision.

Edric looked the numbers over. His skills and abilities had grown but at a slower pace. Time spent with Faye, Leeta and Claudia was wonderful but that meant after the first few times, his skills would progress at a subdued rate. It was a balance in the game so players couldn’t game the system with marathon sessions. Edric did feel he needed to be a little more powerful but that feeling went away when he spent sensual moments with his friends.

An image of Rayna entered his mind. The summoner missed the crazy bard but she had become distant since their last time together. When Faye and Claudia grew amorous, Rayna quickly excused herself to errands she had to complete for the kingdom. It didn’t take Edric long to see she was actively avoiding him and to his own surprise, he didn’t pursue it any further. She had her reasons and the player figured she would talk about it sooner or later. It didn’t stop his heart from wanting her. She was special like everyone in his life but he couldn’t bring himself to make things any more complicated than they already were.

Edric looked to the earth elemental. “Drop the stones around the forge,” he commanded and began whispering incantations.

The elemental did as it was told, lifting a big earthy hand and spraying large runic stones around the forge. Edric looked to the glowing forge, arcane words spilling from his lips.

  Summon Elemental! Mana: 235/260

A portal appeared, blending into the flames. A roaring fire plumed into the large room, taking the shape of a demonic looking fire elemental. A connection formed and it hovered over the forge, waiting for commands.

“Hold the shape in your mind like before,” Magnys instructed.

Edric mentally instructed the fire elemental. The elemental nodded before it rushed down in a blaze, encircling the gathered runic stone and forge. Flames turned white hot as they formed a ring. Runic stone glowed before it began to melt, moving with the flaming ring.

Edric moved to the next step, casting another summoning spell.

  (Spell Casting)70+(Int)10=80/(Encounter Roll)60! Spell Successful!

  Summon Elemental! Mana: 210/260

The forge blazed with heat. A portal opened and a water elemental rose up. Edric watched as the molten runic stone surged onto the forge. The earth elemental worked along the ground floor, moving stone to keep the white runic stone in place. The forge shifted and morphed until it created a solid ring, four points growing and bending over the center.

When the form was complete, the fire elemental pulled away and the water elemental blasted the forge with cold water. Steam flared in all directions. Edric lifted a hand to protect his face while Magnys looked on, unaffected.

Outside, steam poured from windows. Citizens turned to see what was happening but Leeta waved them on. Thick tendrils of steam crawled across the street as citizens moved on. Leeta glanced back to an open window and light, smoke and shadows moved.

The steam died down and a new forge stood. The metal points each held a cup above them to capture essences that will be used in the creation of runic weapons. Edric’s eyes drank in the handy work, a warm feeling spread from his chest as he knew it was going to be used to create weapons in the fight to come.

“Carve the runes,” Magnys said as the steam faded away.

Edric took command of the fire elemental, the runic symbols in his mind. Hand out, he used his Rune Craft skill through the elemental.

  (Rune Craft)37+(Int)10=47/(Encounter Roll)88! Skill Unsuccessful!

Edric ignored the attempt and tried again. Spending so much time using spells, his skills had stagnated. The runes were complex but he kept trying, knowing after enough tries he would succeed.

  (Rune Craft)37+(Int)10=47/(Encounter Roll)42! Skill Successful!

Finger moving, the fire elemental followed Edric’s movements perfectly. Symbols were burned into the reshaped spell forge. Magnys watched with interested eyes as the symbols blazed into place along the base, arcane symbols curving into the four-pointed arms and along the metal cups at the top. When it was complete, the elemental pulled away and the forge glowed with mystical light.

“You are getting better,” Magnys said as he stepped to the forge and ran his fingers along the craftsmanship.

“I had a good teacher,” Edric smiled.

“We will still require essences from the earth elementals, fire elementals and angel blood. Are you ready to continue with our work?”

Edric nodded. “Anything we need to protect Lukken.”

Magnys stepped closer to the summoner and placed a hand on his shoulder. Edric looked up to Magnys’ approving eyes, a warmth spreading into his shoulder and touching his heart. The player relaxed, feeling good and mentally prepared for the next challenges.

“Let’s finish here and move on to the next spell forge,” Magnys said as he pulled his hand away, lips curved into a gentle smile.

Orange light bathed the portal dome as the sun sank lower to the west. Shadows grew longer as Edric lifted up a thick branch and gave it a strong throw. Nykor leapt to her feet, turning and running after the branch, the ground trembling in her wake. Leeta sat; her back to the stone dome. Wyvern towers dotted the landscape as farmsteads stood in the distance.

A serene breeze washed over the summoner as he watched the giant four-legged Drell-Kai lift the branch in her maw, turn and gallop back. Edric smiled as the giant monster stood over him, dropping the branch at his feet. Lifting it up
, he threw it again, Nykor turning and running with her tongue out.

Exhaustion had set in as Edric spent the rest of the day creating the spell forges and summoning angels so they may donate their blood. It was a key ingredient for the runic weapons. The player remembered how awkward he felt when he started to summon angels and asked them to give up some blood for a noble cause. Each angel didn’t seem too concerned with the request and pulled white daggers. Blades across palms, they let the mystical blood flow into potion vials. Now, Edric had no issue with summoning them as they were eager to know they were fighting a great darkness.

Darkness colored under the summoner’s eyes as Nykor dropped the branch again. Lifting it up, he threw it again. The Drell-Kai could play this game for hours but it was Edric who enjoyed the simple pleasure of a mindless act. They were going to attack the enemy head on tomorrow night and the summoner couldn’t stop the nervous tremble in his stomach.

Leeta looked over, body relaxed as she watched Edric’s shoulders slump a little. “We should return to the keep so you can rest.”

Edric stood; eyes on Nykor as she lifted the branch again and came charging back. “Maybe in a little while, I just need to relax away from everything.”

Edric had come out to inspect the portals one more time and used it as an excuse to stay out of the city. No one seemed to mind as he quickly hurried off with Leeta close behind. When they were halfway to the portal dome, Nykor ambushed them and wanted to play. Edric promised her he would play after the quick inspection. The three portals were functioning and the dark elves were ready when the time would come. The moment he and Leeta stepped outside, Nykor was waiting, her spiky tail wagging and a thick branch in her mouth.

“You can rest on me,” Leeta smiled.

Edric turned his weary eyes to the beautiful ogre and let out a wanting sigh. Her curves called out to him and he felt he could fall on her, passing out into sweet sleep. The image fell away as Nykor dropped the branch and snuggled her snout against the summoner. Edric turned his attention to the thirty-foot-tall Drell-Kai. Clusters of spider-like eyes blinked in unison as she gazed down on her master. Tongue out, she licked him so hard, Edric was lifted off his feet and landed on his back.

Too tired to sit up, he simply laid there, muscles like dead weights. Nykor nuzzled him but the summoner didn’t move. A low whine vibrated along her throat as she nudged him again and looked to the branch.

“He’s tired Ny,” Leeta said softly.

The Drell-Kai looked to the ogre and then back down on Edric as he stared blankly into the sky. Small puffy clouds floated by as Edric barely blinked. The smell of grass around him filled his nose. The breeze caressed his face as he wondered about the past, present and future.

Nykor huffed as she looked on the spaced-out summoner. A small glow enveloped her body as it began to shrink. Edric’s eyes turned and grew wider as Nykor’s body collapsed into itself, shifting and changing with every passing moment. Body contorted as legs turned into humanoid arms and legs. Clusters of eyes swirled together to form a pair of jet black oval eyes. Scales rippled along her body as breasts and hips formed. The spiked tail shifted and morphed into a normal looking lizard tail. Snout shortened but remained as her scaled body finished changing. Green nipples appeared on breasts as the Drell-Kai fell to her knees next to Edric.

“You can shape change,” Edric said awestruck.

Nykor said nothing and then her tongue slid out the side of her small snout, panting. Kneeling forward, she licked Edric across his cheek, black eyes happy.

“She is still a dragon, even if Maggar warped her,” Leeta smiled.

Tail wagging, Nykor took hold of Edric’s robe and ripped it open. Edric’s eyes were the size of saucers as scaled hands worked, pulling out his manhood. Black eyes stared for a long moment and before Edric could protest, the Drell-Kai licked his cock and sucked it into her mouth.

A tingling shock rushed through the summoner as he found himself unable to stop the pooling of blood and raising of the mast. In short, hot strokes the player found himself hard as a rock. Nykor’s head bobbed as inches appeared and disappeared past her lips. Leeta watched, amused as her master simply stared, his expression softening with each wet stroke. The movement was raw and needful as Edric felt powerless in the she-monster’s grip. Nykor whimpered her delight as black and green scales shined in the dying light of the day.

The shock bled away and Edric relaxed. Laying his head back, he didn’t resist as the Drell-Kai suckled on his member. He needed a release but he didn’t expect this. It seemed Ny needed him too, sucking his cock like it was the only source of water for miles. Breasts bounced against Edric’s leg as a familiar urge took hold. He let it linger, enjoying Ny’s vigorous bobbing. When he thought he would reach the zenith of pleasure, Ny broke away and crawled on him.

Edric lifted his head just enough to see the Drell-Kai take hold of his cock and press it to her thin, hairless slit. Nykor licked his face as she pressed his cock to her slit, hips pushing down. The urges were animalistic as the Drell-Kai slid down, impaling herself on her master. Edric found his hands on her hips, helping her along, matching the rhythm. The mood swirled and Edric found himself caught in the swell. Wetness ran down his cock and spilled onto his thighs as Nykor hammered her hips into him. Breasts bounced as she looked up, a throaty hiss touching the sky.

Leeta’s gaze never wavered as the not so intimate spectacle carried on. Nykor continued her relentless urges. Edric ran his fingers along her smooth, almost wet scales until he grazed a pointed nipple. Ny’s body shuddered as her black eyes went wide. Edric looked up as she stared down, a hunger growling up her throat. A moment later, nerves tightened as the Drell-Kai stared down with blank, black eyes. Squeezing her master, his throbbing cock thickened, causing her nerves to coil to the breaking point and release. A blaze enveloped the Drell-Kai as she continued to force the orgasm. Bliss cascaded along her body, a shudder causing her whole body to tremble.

Ny’s snout opened and she cried out with an inhuman groan. The vibrations and squeezing sent Edric into a tailspin as his member stiffened and bulged. Seed spurted as Ny continued to growl her needs. Pleasure poured through the summoner as jets of come filled the Drell-Kai on him.

Leeta watched as Edric’s body relaxed, his energy spent but Ny continued to hump his half hard cock.

“Let him rest,” Leeta said with a hard edge.

  Nykor ignored her.

The ogre’s brow formed a sharp point, “Ny!”

The Drell-Kai looked over, her serpent face taking on a whiny sadness. With a small hiss, she lifted her body off her master and galloped away on all fours. Edric and Leeta watched as her body shifted and grew larger. Morphing back to her original form, the Drell-Kai turned and sat on her haunches, tail coiled around her and a sad whimper touching the air.

Leeta’s gaze fell to her master, “Feel better?”

“I think so,” Edric smiled. “I think she broke my hips.”

The ogre and summoner laughed. Nykor settled down and closed her many eyes, her body coiled up. Edric looked at his body, wetness covering his member, hips and thighs. It was quite a sight and as he pulled his robe over him, a spear struck the ground a foot from his head.

Leeta was to her feet, mace in hand as Edric sat up in an instant. The sun sank lower as a lithe figure walked toward them. Light painted her armored body as she moved with easy confidence. Leeta’s arm relaxed as Edric sat, a warmth touching his eyes.

Claudia walked toward them, eyes on the summoner and wisps of green hair lifting in the breeze. Determination with a dash of wanting glowed with each step. Leeta stepped back, leaning against the dome wall and sliding down to her rump. Edric stayed sitting, looking up at the beautiful lancer and realizing he missed her deeply.

Claudia tapped pieces of her armor and clothes, each one disappearing. When she was fully nude, she stood over Edric before kneeling on his legs. Alabaster breasts bobbed as she took hold of his torn robe and pulled it
open. Edric smiled until he saw the mess Ny left. The mess was not enough to stop the summoner from growing hard again to Claudia’s touch. Moving on her knees, she took the tip of his cock and rubbed it against her budding line. Wetness flowed and blended as she enjoying teasing the summoner.

  “I….” Edric began.

Claudia shook her head, silencing him from saying anything further. Edric’s lips closed as the lancer played with his member, rubbing along her valley. A sigh fell from her lips as she moved her hips to the rhythm. When the heat between them glowed hot, she sank down, spearing herself on his manhood. Edric watched her as eyes closed. Bliss flared as thick inches parted tight walls. The unspoken truths between them turned into a song only they could understand.

Edric admired the lancer as she pressed her hands to his stomach and moved her hips up and down. She was a little timid and shy when they first met but a fierce warrior when battle called. He remembered her talking about her insecurities, an obvious need to be who she felt she truly was meant to be. Time and their friendship changed all of it and now there was no fear of judgment. It was enough to know she loved him but that didn’t mean their life had to be some fairy tale.

Edric stayed sitting, arms wrapping around the lancer as she sank down on his member. Bodies undulated, moving to places were bliss can be found. Claudia bit her lip as she sank down again and again. Edric helped her along, burying his face in her chest and licking a pert nipple. The connection brightened and the tempo increased. The summoner missed her, enough for his manhood to harden into steel with each tight stroke of his cock. Claudia squeezed with each push of her knees, trying to keep him inside her at all costs. Scents blended as gasps and moans filled the air around them. The last rays of sunlight disappeared past the horizon, stars blinking to life in the night sky.
