“I wanted to torture you for what you did to those I love, but the longer you’re on this Earth breathing the same air as me, the quicker I want to get the shit over with,” Lano said, aiming his gun at his chest.
“C’mon man,” Giran groaned feeling helpless like the rat he was. “I got a kid on the way.”
“So do I.”
Lano pulled the trigger, and a full clip emptied in his body. Thank goodness for his silencer. Standing to her feet, Zari mugged Giran’s frame and gagged.
“Ugh. So glad that was a quick one.”
“The way you were acting, seemed to me like you really wanted to fuck,” Misani said, lifting her brow questioningly.
Lano had worked with the duo before, but hadn’t in a while. He knew he could get to Giran alone. Walk up in that nigga’s crib and air the bitch out, but Lano decided to go back to his roots for this last kill. While Giran thought Lano was still locked up in California, he had been on the go like he wasn’t wanted. He let his guard down in another state for some pussy and lost his life. Had Lano not wanted to see him take his last breath himself, he would’ve put a price on his head.
“The money is in y’all account, so what y’all bickering for?” he questioned with a smirk.
“It’s always nice doing business with you. Let us know if you need our services again,” Misani spoke. Money was the only word she heard. All that other shit entered her ears and exited just as quickly.
“Likewise. Y’all be safe.”
Lano left out of the room and exited the hotel through the back staircase leaving Misani and Zari to do their job. An all-black Phantom was waiting with the door opened for him when his foot hit the concrete. Sliding in the backseat, Lano exhaled when the door closed. He eyes closed shortly after when his driver pulled off.
His determination to avenge Saon’s death and Anika’s attack had finally come to an end. Peace hadn’t settled over him yet, but he knew it would come. Lano wanted to free his dark soul. Killing was once the only way he was eating, but now the lifestyle was eating away at him. Death was inevitable, and Lano no longer wanted to be the one to decide who got to die on his watch. Anika being pregnant with his son, his lock up, and the events that occurred in his life in the last year opened his mind. Expanded his mental.
Everyday someone retired from their job, and today was his turn to throw in the towel. He just hoped niggas didn’t test his savage again. He had a child to live for; dying wasn’t an option. When his phone vibrated interrupting his thoughts, he peeled his eyes open and saw that they had already made it to the jet.
“What’s up, baby?” he answered smoothly.
Her heavy breaths made his heart stop. “I- um. My water just broke,” she said trying to stay calm.
Rushing from the luxury car, Lano jogged up the steps after nodding to the crew and took his seat. “I’m on my way. Tell my guy to stay comfortable until I land. Where Rylee and Solai at?”
“We’re right here, cousin,” Rylee sang.
“A’ight. Bae, don’t panic. My boy know what time it is. Breathe for me. Do them techniques we’ve practiced.”
His voice was so soothing, Rylee poked her lip out watching Anika’s eyes close and chest slowly rise.
“Good, Nik. Keep doing that and stay calm. I’ma have to cut my phone off in a minute, but I’ll be there before you know it.”
“Okay, okay. Just breathe,” Anika told herself out of breath already.
“I love you. I’ll see you when I land, okay?”
“I love you more. I’ll see you when you touch down, Daddy.”
Lano smirked. “I’m Daddy now?”
“Mhm. My fine ass baby daddy,” Anika solidified.
“Damn right.”
When they hung up, a smile crept onto Lano’s face as he tried not to let his nerves get the best of him. Anika was about to have his baby boy; his legacy and he was filled with utmost respect for her. She had held him down, risked her life in more ways than one, and reminded him that the love they shared was realer than a mothafucka. Not even him being behind bars could break their connection though they tried.
Despite the talk Erica gave them, Anika classified herself as a ride or die. For all the trials and tribulations they went through, Anika and Lano had come out on top and won. The fears they had in the beginning of their union were of the past, and their future was brighter than ever and included their love child. He had his freedom, his family, and his mind back. Lano couldn’t ask for anything more.
One Month Later
“Oooh,” Daiya cooed as her eyes stretched wide. “He has a lot of hair like Senny.”
Running her little fingers through the baby’s hair, she smiled and looked up at Lano who was holding his son. Legacy Amar Trevino was born on February 14th, 2019. With all the lovemaking they did in Greece, Anika wasn’t even surprised by his birth date. That just meant he was filled with love and surrounded by it.
“He does, huh? You think you can hook him up like you did Sen’s?” Lano asked as he laid Legacy against the receiving blanket draped over his shoulder. Daiya had just finished helping feed him, and now he needed to burp.
“Eh, I don’t know,” she said in deep thought. “Senny’s hair is a little longer, but I’ll go ask him.”
Daiya took off running toward the man cave, where Sen was, at full speed. Lano chuckled, and when Legacy burped before passing gas at the same, he could only shake his head.
“All that my man? Must’ve been a good bottle.”
Legacy just yawned as Lano stared at his son’s face. He was the same light, warm, beige color as Lano. He had his daddy’s entire face down to his thick brows and dark lips. Cradling him in his arms, Lano spoke quietly to him as his eyes fluttered.
“What’s up baby boy. We gotta go see what Mommy is doing,” he said walking down the hall of their massive mansion home.
It was so ducked off, Sen promised to never drive over there at night. It was like some scary movie shit with all the trees and one way entrance. He’d already almost hit a deer. He’d be damned if he had to kill a person for hopping down from one of the trees; not like there was someone there. Lano had his crib so secured, only handprints could be used to enter certain areas of the house. Voice recognition was installed as well. He wasn’t taking any chances.
Sitting up with her MacBook on her lap, Anika looked up as Lano stepped through the door. Her mouth watered as her eyes roamed his shirtless frame, abs popping out with each step. Legacy’s tiny feet were inked on his chest with Anika’s on the other side of his chest where his heart resided. His heart belonged to her; he was just keeping it warm. Gone was his long hair that he had been growing since he was a young boy.
The decision to cut it was easy once his son was born. Lano felt like he needed to turn over a new leaf and his hair was just dead weight that he didn’t want weighing him down. Replacing his gorgeous locs was a razor cut Caesar style, that was lined to perfection. Leaning over, he placed a kiss on Anika’s lips, and she smiled.
“What’re y’all doing?” she asked.
“He just ate, now look at him. Knocked out already. What you in here doing?”
She moved the MacBook to the side, and patted the bed so he could sit. “Looking over some pictures Maliya just sent me. I can’t believe I’m really out here modeling, bae.”
Lano shrugged. “I can. What’s for you will always and forever be for you. Don’t matter if someone tried to take it from you or not. That’s the thing about having a gift, bae. Everybody doesn’t have the same one. This modeling shit? You got that in the bag, Ma. Straight up.”
“Awww, bae,” she cooed lifting onto her knees and wrapping her arms around his shoulder. Kissing his neck, she said, “You’re so encouraging. What would I do without you?”
“Thug it out and get to that bag on your own,” he said seriously before gently grabbing her face and pecking her juicy lips again. “Thankfully, you’ll never know what it feels like to not have me in your life. We in th
is shit forever.”
“Forever, ever?” Anika smirked.
Lano nodded. “Yep. ‘Til the wheels fall off. Speaking of wheels… how your truck riding?”
She smiled softly and massaged his shoulders. “It’s riding just fine, but I’m sure I can ride you better if you put my baby down.”
Trailing kisses over his shoulder and neck, Anika dragged her hands up his smooth back. Lano turned his head slightly and smirked. “You trying to get me in trouble, huh? Your six weeks ain’t up.”
“I can’t wait. Seeing you all daddy-ish has me so wet, Papi,” she cooed, and Lano shook his head before standing to his feet. Placing Legacy in his bassinet nearby, he made sure his little man was comfortable before walking back over to Anika. She was now on her knees and holding her arms out for him. Spoiling him and enveloping Lano in all her love.
Smacking her booty in the flimsy gown she had on, he kissed her neck. “A’ight. It’s been a minute, but I’ma take care of you. How you want it?” he asked huskily, caressing her thick thighs.
“Any way you wanna give it to me Mr. Trevino. It’s all yours.”
“Yeah? What else belongs to me?” he asked stroking her pussy that was so wet already. Just the sound of his voice and the way he enunciated words made her cream.
Anika swallowed hard. “My heart.” Those two words were spoken in confidence and truth.
“You have mine too. Always will.”
The End.
