Rekindling Trust

A Word to Readers
I tend to complain about the length of time it takes me to complete a book. Months. And months.
But, you know, I find the Lord teaches me things as I write. One of the things I was reminded of while writing Rekindling Trust was that God has His timing, so there’s no choice but to hang on for the ride. Sure, I’ve known that for a long time, yet sometimes I need to see things in action for those lessons to sink in.
In my desire to get a book written, I inevitably find out that some of the best ideas pop into my head late in the process. I’ll think things are done, the story is told and everyone lives happily ever after. Then, all of a sudden, God inserts an idea into my head that’s perfect for the story. He reminds me that I need time for those ideas to percolate to the surface like the rocks in my yard. If I’m in too big a hurry, I’m not only shortchanging the story, I’m shortchanging you. I don’t want to do either one.
So I’m not one of those writers who is capable of putting out numerous books a year, but as long as I’m putting out stories you enjoy reading, that’s what matters, right?
Please consider leaving a short, honest review on a retail site that carries Rekindling Trust and/or Goodreads. No need to get fancy. A couple of sentences without spoilers will do, or a star rating. Both will be greatly appreciated!
Don’t forget to look for the third and final novel in the Widow’s Might Series. To learn of its release or about upcoming specials, subscribe to my Love and Faith in Fiction newsletter and get Unwrapping Hope, the prequel novella to the series, as my thank you.
Happy reading!
Sandra
Acknowledgments
People can tell you, but until you’ve tried it, you won’t understand how hard it is to write a book. At least, I didn’t before I started on this journey years ago. But we writers can’t take more than a few steps without the help of others.
As always, I’m so grateful to you, Heidi Chiavaroli. You have my back and tell me when certain things aren’t working—in this case, my weak-willed heroine—so I can fix them.
To my brainstormers—Jerusha Agen, Angie Arndt, Marie Coutu: Thank you for your insight. I enjoy batting ideas back and forth with you all.
To those of you in the Corner Room: You bless me with your support and the way you share word of my stories with others. You are a joy and an encouragement!
My editor, Lynne Tagawa, is a brave woman to tackle my manuscript. Seriously.
And a mighty thank you to the Lord, whose child I am.
