Brooke Hodge began writing fantasy short stories as an awkward pre-teen girl in the pre-internet world. Now she writes science fiction fantasy novels as an awkward pre-middle-aged woman. Her stories are dark, honest, sexy, and full of adventure. She lives in Durham, North Carolina with her three precocious (and slightly psychotic) little girls, her former Marine husband, an elderly dog, and two cats that can’t make up their minds whether they want to be friends or mortal enemies. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Geological Science and in her free time (of which there is little), she enjoys making soap and hunting for pretty rocks.
